Sunan Abi Dawud 4078
Narrated Ali ibn Rukanah:
Ali quoting his father said: Rukanah wrestled with the Prophet (saws) and the Prophet (saws) threw him on the ground. Rukanah said: I heard the Prophet (saws) say: The difference between us and the polytheists is that we wear turbans over caps.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الْعَسْقَلاَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رُكَانَةَ، صَارَعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَرَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ رُكَانَةُ وَسَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" فَرْقُ مَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ الْعَمَائِمُ عَلَى الْقَلاَنِسِ " .

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 44
Abu Hurayra saw two men and said to one of them, "Who is this man in
relation to you?" He is my father," he replied. He said, "Do not call him
by his own name nor walk in front of him nor sit down before him."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَوْ غَيْرِهِ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَبْصَرَ رَجُلَيْنِ، فَقَالَ لأَحَدِهِمَا: مَا هَذَا مِنْكَ؟ فَقَالَ: أَبِي، فَقَالَ: لاَ تُسَمِّهِ بِاسْمِهِ، وَلاَ تَمْشِ أَمَامَهُ، وَلا تَجْلِسْ قَبْلَهُ.

Bahz bin Hakim narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Woe to him who lies in his talk to make the people laugh, Woe to him! Woe to him!” Related by the three Imams with a strong chain of narrators.
وَعَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ جَدِّهِ: قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ, فَيَكْذِبُ ; لِيَضْحَكَ بِهِ اَلْقَوْمُ, وَيْلٌ لَهُ, ثُمَّ وَيْلٌ لَهُ } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلثَّلَاثَةُ, وَإِسْنَادُهُ قَوِيٌّ. 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 203
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “When a man
dies no further reward is recorded for his actions, with three exceptions:
sadaqa which continues to be supplied, or knowledge from which benefit
continues to be reaped, or the prayers of a good son for his dead father.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا مَاتَ الْإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةِ أَشْيَاءَ: صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ أوعلم ينْتَفع بِهِ أوولد صَالح يَدْعُو لَهُ)

Musa b. Talha reported it on the authority of his father:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When one of you places in front of him so me. thing such as the back of a saddle, he should pray without caring who passes on the other side of it.

Ibn Sa'd reported:
I bowed and my hands were in this state, i. e. they were put together, palm to palm, and were placed between his thighs. My father said: We used to do like this but were later on commanded to place them on the knees.

Salim b. 'Abdullah reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be. upon him) used to observe Nafl (supererogatory) prayer on his ride no matter in what direction it turned its face, and he observed Witr too on it, but did not observe obligatory prayer on it.
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَىِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ .

Abu Burda narrated on the authority of his father that when 'Umar was wounded Suhaib uttered (loudly in lamentation):
O brother! Upon this 'Umar said: Suhaib, did you not know that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:" The dead is punished because of the lamentation of the living"?

" إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَىِّ " .

It was
narrated from Salim that his father said:
“The Messenger of
Allah
(saw) used to pray two Rak’ah while traveling, and he did not do
more than that. And he used to pray Tahajjud at night.” I asked:
“Did
he pray Witr?” He said: “Yes.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ. لاَ يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِمَا. وَكَانَ يَتَهَجَّدُ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ . قُلْتُ وَكَانَ يُوتِرُ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ .

‘Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated that his father said:

there was arid land surrounded by sand. The Messenger

said: ‘The Beast will emerge from this spot – span
by a span. (i.e,
the size of that spot).’”

" تَخْرُجُ الدَّابَّةُ مِنْ هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ " . فَإِذَا فِتْرٌ فِي شِبْرٍ . قَالَ ابْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ فَحَجَجْتُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِسِنِينَ فَأَرَانَا عَصًا لَهُ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِعَصَاىَ هَذِهِ كَذَا وَكَذَا .

himself, with food for the day, it is as if he acquired the whole
world.’”

It was narrated from al-Musayyab bin ‘Abd Khair that his father said :
‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) stood up and said: The best of this ummah after its Prophet are Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, then we got involved in matters which Allah will judge as He wills.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَامَ عَلِيٌّ فَقَالَ خَيْرُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ بَعْدَ نَبِيِّهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَإِنَّا قَدْ أَحْدَثْنَا بَعْدَهُمْ أَحْدَاثًا يَقْضِي اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِيهَا مَا شَاءَ.

It was narrated that lbn Shaddad said:
I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: I never heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mention his father and mother together for anyone except Sa`d. Abu Nu`aim said: mention his parents together.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ ابْنِ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ أَبَاهُ وَأُمَّهُ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا لِسَعْدٍ قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ أَبَوَيْهِ لِأَحَدٍ.

cutting the nails, trimming the moustache, removing the hair
from the armpit, shaving the pubic region and circumcision."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ خَمْسٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ تَقْلِيمُ الأَظَافِرِ وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَنَتْفُ الإِبْطِ وَحَلْقُ الْعَانَةِ وَالاِخْتِتَانُ .

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
We used not to call Zaid bin Haritha the freed slave of Allah's Apostle except Zaid bin Muhammad till the Qu'anic Verse was revealed: "Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers. That is more than just in the Sight of Allah." (33.5)

Ubayy bin Ka'b said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to recite in Witr: "Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High;" and "Say: O you disbelievers!;' and 'Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'"

" أَوَلاَ يَجِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ ثَلاَثَةَ أَحْجَارٍ " .

" خَمْسٌ فَوَاسِقُ يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ الْفَأْرَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4128
It was narrated that Masruq said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'I do not want to see you after I am gone reverting to disbelievers, striking the necks of one another (killing one another). No man is punished for the crime of his father, or the crime of his brother.'" This is correct.

"The Messenger of Allah forbade selling silver for silver and gold for gold, unless it was of equal amounts. And he told us to sell gold for silver however we wanted, and silver for gold however we wanted.

Ar-Rabi` bin Al-Bara’ bin `Azib reported from, his father:
That whenever the Prophet (saws) would return from a trip, he would say: “(We are) Returning, repenting, worshipping, and to our Lord directing the praise (Ā’ibūna tā’būna `ābidūna lirabbinā ḥāmidūn).”
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ قَالَ
" آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَرَوَى الثَّوْرِيُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ وَرِوَايَةُ شُعْبَةَ أَصَحُّ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَنَسٍ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَشِيرُ بْنُ الْمُهَاجِرِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَلْ تَدْرُونَ مَا هَذِهِ وَمَا هَذِهِ " . وَرَمَى بِحَصَاتَيْنِ . قَالُوا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ . قَالَ " هَذَاكَ الأَمَلُ وَهَذَاكَ الأَجَلُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، هُوَ الْجُرَشِيُّ الْيَمَامِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ إِيَاسِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَقَدْ قُدْتُ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ عَلَى بَغْلَتِهِ الشَّهْبَاءِ حَتَّى أَدْخَلْتُهُ حُجْرَةَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم هَذَا قُدَّامُهُ وَهَذَا خَلْفُهُ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الْبَزَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُدْعَانَ، وَيَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، سَمِعَا سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، يَقُولُ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ مَا جَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَاهُ وَأُمَّهُ لأَحَدٍ إِلاَّ لِسَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ قَالَ لَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ " ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي " . وَقَالَ لَهُ " ارْمِ أَيُّهَا الْغُلاَمُ الْحَزَوَّرُ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَجَابِرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ .

" إِنِّي كُنْتُ نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الأَضَاحِي فَتَزَوَّدُوا وَادَّخِرُوا وَمَنْ أَرَادَ زِيَارَةَ الْقُبُورِ فَإِنَّهَا تُذَكِّرُ الآخِرَةَ وَاشْرَبُوا وَاتَّقُوا كُلَّ مُسْكِرٍ " .

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُمَرَ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أَعْمَرَ رَجُلاً عُمْرَى لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ فَهِيَ لَهُ وَلِمَنْ يَرِثُهُ مِنْ عَقِبِهِ مَوْرُوثَةٌ " .

"Whoever touches his penis, he should not perform Salah until he performs Wudu'."
Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: Hisham bin 'Urwah did not hear this Hadith from his father.
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ بُسْرَةَ بِنْتِ صَفْوَانَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ مَسَّ ذَكَرَهُ فَلاَ يُصَلِّي حَتَّى يَتَوَضَّأَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ وَاللَّهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ .

Whosover amongst the owners of the house keeps a dog other than one meant for watching the herd or for hunting loses two qirat of his deeds every day.

" أَيُّمَا أَهْلِ دَارٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا إِلاَّ كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ كَلْبَ صَائِدٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ" .

Sahih Muslim 1750 a
A hadith has been narrated by Salim who learnt it from his father and said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) gave us an extra (camel) besides our share of Khums; (and in this extra share) I got a Sharif (and a Sharif is a big old camel).
وَحَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِسُرَيْجٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ، اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ نَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَفَلاً سِوَى نَصِيبِنَا مِنَ الْخُمْسِ فَأَصَابَنِي شَارِفٌ وَالشَّارِفُ الْمُسِنُّ الْكَبِيرُ .

My father related to me that Ma'qil b. Yasir fell ill. 'Ubaidullah b. Ziyad called on him to inquire after his health. Here follows the tradition as narrated by Hasan from Ma'qil.

Jubair bin Mut'im narrated from his father who said:
"They (meaning the people in general) told me that I was proud, while I rode a donkey, wore a cloak, and I milked the sheep. And the Messenger of Allah said to me:
"Whoever does these, then there is no pride (arrogance) in him.'"

" مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا فَلَيْسَ فِيهِ مِنَ الْكِبْرِ شَيْءٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .

Bahz bin Hakim narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"You shall be gathered walking, riding, and dragged upon your faces."

Narrated Ibn 'Asim Al-Muzani:
From his father and he was a Companion who said: "When the Messenger of Allah (saws) dispatched any army or battalion, he would say to them: 'If you see a Masjid, or hear someone calling the Adhan, then do not kill anyone.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْعَدَنِيُّ الْمَكِّيُّ، - وَيُكْنَى بِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ نَوْفَلِ بْنِ مُسَاحِقٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عِصَامٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا بَعَثَ جَيْشًا أَوْ سَرِيَّةً يَقُولُ لَهُمْ
" إِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مَسْجِدًا أَوْ سَمِعْتُمْ مُؤَذِّنًا فَلاَ تَقْتُلُوا أَحَدًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَهُوَ حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ .

Abu Umama b. Sahl b. Hunaif, on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
None of you should say:" My soul has become evil," but he should say:" My soul has become remorseless."

Allah's Apostle said, "Verily, one of the worst lies is to claim falsely to be the son of someone other than one's real father, or to claim to have had a dream one has not had, or to attribute to me what I have not said."

" إِنَّ مِنْ أَعْظَمِ الْفِرَى أَنْ يَدَّعِيَ الرَّجُلُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ، أَوْ يُرِيَ عَيْنَهُ مَا لَمْ تَرَ، أَوْ يَقُولُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا لَمْ يَقُلْ ".

That Allah's Apostle came to her in a happy mood with his features glittering with joy, and said, "Have you not heard what the Qaif has said about Zaid and Us-ama? He saw their feet and remarked. These belong to each other." (i.e. They are father and son.)

Narrated Hisham's father:
When Allah's Apostle was in his fatal illness, he started visiting his wives and saying, "Where will I be tomorrow?" He was anxious to be in `Aisha's home. `Aisha said, "So when it was my day, the Prophet became silent (no longer asked the question).

Al Zuhri said “we were with ‘Umar bin ‘Abd Al Aziz, there we discussed temporary marriage. A man called Rabi bin Saburah said “I bear witness that my father told me that the Apostle of Allaah(saws) had prohibited it at the Farewell Pilgrimage.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فَتَذَاكَرْنَا مُتْعَةَ النِّسَاءِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ رَبِيعُ بْنُ سَبْرَةَ أَشْهَدُ عَلَى أَبِي أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْهَا فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3948
Narrated ath-Thalabb:
On the authority of his father: A man emancipated his share in a slave. The Prophet (saws) did not put the responsibility on him to emancipate the rest.
Ahmad said: The name Ibn al-Thalabb is to be pronounced with a ta' (and not with tha). As Shu'bah could not pronounce ta, he said tha.

‘Amr bin Shu’aib said on the authority of his father that his grandfather reported a sub clan of Fahm. He then narrated the tradition like that of the narrator Al Mughirah. This version has “(They used to give) sadaqah out of ten bags (of honey).” He also added “Two woods of theirs”.

regarding the stray sheep he said: Take it (and keep it with you) till its seeker comes to it.

Hisham b. ‘Urwa. quoted his father as saying that Usama b. Zaid was asked how God's messenger was travelling when he returned at the Farewell Pilgrimage, and replied that he was travelling at a quick pace and when he found an opening he urged on his camel.

Mu'awiya ibn Qurra reported that his father said, "A man said,
'Messenger of Allah, I was going to slaughter a sheep and then I felt sorry
for it (or 'sorry for the sheep I was going to slaughter').' He said twice,
'Since you showed mercy to the sheep, Allah will show mercy to you.'"

Khallad bin as-Sa’ib narrated on the authority of his father, ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Jibril (peace be upon him) came to me and told me:
‘Command your Companions to raise their voices when saying Talbiyah.” Related by the five Imams and rendered authentic by At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban.
وَعَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ اَلسَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ, فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ آمُرَ أَصْحَابِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالْإِهْلَالِ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ، وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

In a narration which is Marfu' (attributed to the Prophet) reported by Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i from Abu Hurairah (RA) it has:
"Do not swear by your fathers, nor by your mothers, nor by the rivals (set up as equals with Allah); and do not swear by Allah except when you are speaking the truth."

Narrated Ibn 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said, "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to give a gift and then take it back, except a father regarding what he gives a child."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a. at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Jabir said:
On the day of Uhud my paternal aunt brought my father to bury him in our cemetery, but God’s messenger’s crier called out, “Take back the dead to the place where they fell.”

Abu Musa reported on the authority of his father that an Inquirer came to the Prophet (may peace be upon him) and asked him about the times of prayers, and the rest of the hadith is the same (as narrated above) but for these words:

None but the believer would be admitted into Paradise, and the days of Mina' are the days meant for eating and drinking.

"The Messenger of Allah(SAW) found me sleeping in the masjid on my stomach. He nudged me with his foot and said: 'Why are you sleeping like this? This is a kind of sleep that Allah dislikes,' or 'that Allah hates.'"

Allah's Messenger said: "Allah enjoins you to treat your mother's kindly"-three times- "Allah enjoins you to treat your fathers kindly, Allah enjoins you to treat the closest and the next closest kindly."

`Ali (رضي الله عنه) stood up and said: The best of this ummah; after its Prophet (ﷺ) is Abu Bakr, and ‘Umar, then we got involved in matters which Allah will judge as He wills.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
The person about whom Allah's Apostle said, "If I were to take a Khalil from this nation (my followers), then I would have taken him (i.e., Abu Bakr), but the Islamic Brotherhood is better (or said: good)," regarded a grandfather as the father himself (in inheritance).

Riyad as-Salihin 828
'Amr bin Shu'aib on the authority of his father and grandfather reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "It is not permissible for a man to separate between two [people] without their permission."

وفى رواية لأبى داود: "لا يجلس بين رجلين إلا بإذنهما".

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said: "Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, proposed marriage to Fatimah but the Messenger of Allah said: 'She is young.' Then 'Ali proposed marriage to her and he married her to him."

" أَسْبِغِ الْوُضُوءَ وَخَلِّلْ بَيْنَ الأَصَابِعِ وَبَالِغْ فِي الاِسْتِنْشَاقِ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ كَرِهَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ السَّعُوطَ لِلصَّائِمِ وَرَأَوْا أَنَّ ذَلِكَ يُفْطِرُهُ وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ مَا يُقَوِّي قَوْلَهُمْ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1169
Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri narrated that The Messenger of Allah said:
“It is not lawful for a woman who believers in Allah and the Last Day to travel on a trip that is three days or more, unless she is accompanied by her father, her brother, her husband, her son, or someone who is a Mahram to her.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَحِلُّ لاِمْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ سَفَرًا يَكُونُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَصَاعِدًا إِلاَّ وَمَعَهَا أَبُوهَا أَوْ أَخُوهَا أَوْ زَوْجُهَا أَوِ ابْنُهَا أَوْ ذُو مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَرُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " لاَ تُسَافِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ " . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَكْرَهُونَ لِلْمَرْأَةِ أَنْ تُسَافِرَ إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ . وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي الْمَرْأَةِ إِذَا كَانَتْ مُوسِرَةً وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا مَحْرَمٌ هَلْ تَحُجُّ . فَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لاَ يَجِبُ عَلَيْهَا الْحَجُّ لأَنَّ الْمَحْرَمَ مِنَ السَّبِيلِ لِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَِّ : ( لِمَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً ) فَقَالُوا إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا مَحْرَمٌ فَلاَ تَسْتَطِيعُ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلاً . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِذَا كَانَ الطَّرِيقُ آمِنًا فَإِنَّهَا تَخْرُجُ مَعَ النَّاسِ ...

" لاَ يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ طَعَامٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Amir b. Sa'd b. Abu Waqqas, on the authority of his father, reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said:
He who ate seven dates (of the land situated) between these two lava plains in the morning, no poison will harm him until it is evening.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 361
Hakim ibn Qays ibn 'Asim reported that when his father was dying,
he enjoined his sons:
"Fear Allah and make the oldest among you your leaders.
When people make the oldest among them their leaders, they follow their
fathers. When they make the youngest among them their leaders, that lowers
them in the sight of their peers. You must have wealth and use it well.
It is an impetus for the generous and it will make you independent of critics.
Beware of asking people. It is a man's last source of earning. When I die,
do not wail. There was no wailing for the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace. When I die, bury me in a land where the Bakr
ibn Wa'il will not know where I am buried. I used to waylay on the roads
in the time of the Jahiliyya."
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ: سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفًا، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَوْصَى عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ بَنِيهِ فَقَالَ: اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَسَوِّدُوا أَكْبَرُكُمْ، فَإِنَّ الْقَوْمَ إِذَا سَوَّدُوا أَكْبَرَهُمْ خَلَفُوا أَبَاهُمْ، وَإِذَا سَوَّدُوا أَصْغَرَهُمْ أَزْرَى بِهِمْ ذَلِكَ فِي أَكْفَائِهِمْ. وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالْمَالِ وَاصْطِنَاعِهِ، فَإِنَّهُ مَنْبَهَةٌ لِلْكَرِيمِ، وَيُسْتَغْنَى بِهِ عَنِ اللَّئِيمِ. وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَمَسْأَلَةَ النَّاسِ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ آخِرِ كَسْبِ الرَّجُلِ. وَإِذَا مُتُّ فَلاَ تَنُوحُوا، فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُنَحْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم. وَإِذَا مُتُّ فَادْفِنُونِي بِأَرْضٍ لاَ يَشْعُرُ بِدَفْنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ وَائِلٍ، فَإِنِّي كُنْتُ أُغَافِلُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ.

Musnad Ahmad 802
It was narrated that Fadalah bin Abi Fadalah al-Ansari - and Abu Fadalah was one of the people of Badr-said:
I went out with my father to visit `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) when he was sick and had become very ill. My father said to him: What is keeping you here? If you die, there will be no one to take care of your (burial) except the Bedouin of Juhainah. It is better for you to be carried to Madinah, then if you die your companions will take care of you and offer the funeral prayer for you, ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) promised me that I would not die until I am appointed leader, then this - meaning his beard - will be dyed from the blood of this - meaning his head, Then he was killed, and Abu Fadalah was killed fighting alongside ‘Ali on the day of Siffeen.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ أَبِي فَضَالَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، وَكَانَ أَبُو فَضَالَةَ، مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَائِدًا لِعَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مِنْ مَرَضٍ أَصَابَهُ ثَقُلَ مِنْهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبِي مَا يُقِيمُكَ فِي مَنْزِلِكَ هَذَا لَوْ أَصَابَكَ أَجَلُكَ لَمْ يَلِكَ إِلَّا أَعْرَابُ جُهَيْنَةَ تُحْمَلُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَإِنْ أَصَابَكَ أَجَلُكَ وَلِيَكَ أَصْحَابُكَ وَصَلَّوْا عَلَيْكَ فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَهِدَ إِلَيَّ أَنْ لَا أَمُوتَ حَتَّى أُؤَمَّرَ ثُمَّ تُخْضَبَ هَذِهِ يَعْنِي لِحْيَتَهُ مِنْ دَمِ هَذِهِ يَعْنِي هَامَتَهُ فَقُتِلَ وَقُتِلَ أَبُو فَضَالَةَ مَعَ عَلِيٍّ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ.
