Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, "Two types of dead animals and two types of bloods have been made lawful for us, the two types of dead animals are locusts and fish (seafood), while the two types of bloods are the liver and the spleen". [Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Majah, and this Hadith has some weakness.]
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أُحِلَّتْ لَنَا مَيْتَتَانِ وَدَمَانِ, فَأَمَّا الْمَيْتَتَانِ: فَالْجَرَادُ وَالْحُوتُ, وَأَمَّا الدَّمَانُ: فَالطِّحَالُ وَالْكَبِدُ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ, وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ 1 .

Narrated Laqit bin Sabra (rad):
Allah’s Mesenger (saw) said, “Perform a perfect Wudu run (your fingers) through the fingers of the hands and the toes, and if not fasting, sniff water up well inside the nose”. [Reported by Al-Arba’a and Ibn Khuzaima graded it Sahih].
وَعَنْ لَقِيطِ بْنُ صَبْرَةَ, - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أَسْبِغْ اَلْوُضُوءَ, وَخَلِّلْ بَيْنَ اَلْأَصَابِعِ, وَبَالِغْ فِي اَلِاسْتِنْشَاقِ, إِلَّا أَنْ تَكُونَ صَائِمًا } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلْأَرْبَعَةُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ خُزَيْمَة َ 1 .

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Two phrases which are dear to the Compassionate One and are light on the tongue but heavy in the scale are:
“How perfect Allah is and I praise Him; and How perfect Allah is the Most Great.” Agreed upon.
وَأَخْرَجَ اَلشَّيْخَانِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ كَلِمَتَانِ حَبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى اَلرَّحْمَنِ, خَفِيفَتَانِ عَلَى اَللِّسَانِ, ثَقِيلَتَانِ فِي اَلْمِيزَانِ, سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ , سُبْحَانَ اَللَّهِ اَلْعَظِيمِ } 1

'Ubadah bin as-Samit (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Do not be dishonest (and treacherous) about the war booty (i.e. steal from it before it is divided legally), as Ghulul will be like fire (for the ones who got involved in it) and a cause of disgrace to those who are guilty of it in this world and in the Hereafter.” Related by Ahmad, and An-Nasa‘i, and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ اَلصَّامِتِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{
"لَا تَغُلُّوا; فَإِنَّ اَلْغُلُولَ نَارٌ وَعَارٌ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي اَلدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ" } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari and Mu'adh (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said to them, “Do not take any Zakah except on these four crops:

Narrated [Abu Hurairah (RA)]:
When the Prophet (SAW) congratulated a man on his marriage he would say, "Allah bless for you (your spouse), grant you blessing, and join you together in goodness."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a. at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْهُ ; أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ إِذَا رَفَّأَ إِنْسَانًا إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ قَالَ : { بَارَكَ اَللَّهُ لَكَ , وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ , وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ , وَابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ , وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Allah will not look at a man who has intercourse with a man or a woman through the anus."
[Reported by at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Hibban, but it was considered to be defective for being Mawquf (saying of a Companion, i.e. Ibn 'Abbas)].
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ - رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يَنْظُرُ اَللَّهُ إِلَى رَجُلٍ أَتَى رَجُلاً أَوْ اِمْرَأَةً فِي دُبُرِهَا } رَوَاهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ , وَالنَّسَائِيُّ , وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ , وَأُعِلَّ بِالْوَقْفِ 1 .

Ibn Majah reported the narration of 'Amr bin Shu'aib, on this father's authority, from his grandfather:
"Thabit bin Qais was very unattractive and his wife said, 'Were it not for the fear of Allah, when he entered my presence I would spit in his face.'"
وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَمْرِوِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ عِنْدَ اِبْنِ مَاجَهْ : { أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ كَانَ دَمِيمً ا 1 وَأَنَّ اِمْرَأَتَهُ قَالَتْ : لَوْلَا مَخَافَةُ اَللَّهِ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ لَبَسَقْتُ فِي وَجْهِهِ } 2 .

Narrated Ibn Ka'b bin Malik (RA) on the authority of his father:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) seized the wealth of Mu'adh and sold it in return for a debt he was indebted for.
[ad-Daraqutni reported it, and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic). Abu Dawud reported it as Mursal (missing link after the Tabi'i) and considered that the strongest opinion is that it is Mursal].
وَعَنِ اِبْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ; { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -حَجَرَ عَلَى مُعَاذٍ مَالَهُ, وَبَاعَهُ فِي دَيْنٍ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ } رَوَاهُ اَلدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ, وَأَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ مُرْسَلًا, وَرُجِّحَ 1 .

Narrated Abu Humaid as-Sa'idi (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "It is not lawful for a person to take his brother's stick except if he is pleased with such."

وَعَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ اَلسَّاعِدِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ عَصَا أَخِيهِ بِغَيْرِ طِيبِ نَفْسٍ مِنْهُ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِمُ فِي
" صَحِيحَيْهِمَا " 1 .

Narrated [Anas (RA)]:
'Aishah (RA) had a Qiram (a soft piece of cloth with colours) with which she had screened one side of her house. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Take away this Qiram of yours, for its pictures are displayed in front of me during my prayer."

Narrated Zaid bin Arqam (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) prayed the 'Eid prayer (on a Friday); and granted a permission (to be excused) from the praying of Friday prayer and said, "Whoever wants to pray it, he may pray."
[Reported by al-Khamsah excluding at-Tirmidhi. Ibn Khuzaimah graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -اَلْعِيدَ, ثُمَّ رَخَّصَ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ, فَقَالَ:

It was narrated that An-Nu'mān bin Bashir said:
"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to recite 'Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High' (Al-A’lā) and 'Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)?' (Al-Ghāshiyah) in the Jumu'ah prayer, and sometimes 'Eid and Jumu'ah would fall on the same day, and he would recite them in both 'Eid and Jumu'ah prayer."

Abu Darda’ told how God’s messenger, on an occasion when they
were with him, turned his eyes to the sky and said, "This is a time when
knowledge will be snatched away from men, so that they will be unable
to acquire any.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَشَخَصَ بِبَصَرِهِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «هَذَا أَوَانٌ يُخْتَلَسُ فِيهِ الْعِلْمُ مِنَ النَّاسِ حَتَّى لَا يَقْدِرُوا مِنْهُ على شَيْء» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

‘A'isha said that God’s messenger was using the tooth-stick when two men, one older than the other, were with him. A revelation came to him about the excellence of the tooth-stick in which he was told to show proper respect, and give it to the older of the two.

وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَنُّ وَعِنْدَهُ رَجُلَانِ أَحَدُهُمَا أَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْآخَرِ فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ فِي فَضْلِ السِّوَاكِ أَنْ كَبِّرْ أَعْطِ السِّوَاك أكبرهما. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 2015
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported God’s messenger as saying, “Three things do not break the fast of one who is fasting:
cupping, vomiting, and a nocturnal emission.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it saying this is a tradition which is not regarded, its transmitter ‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Zaid being declared a weak traditionist.

Mishkat al-Masabih 1700
‘Urwa b. az-Zubair said there were two men in Medina, one of whom made a niche when digging a grave, the other of whom did not. The people said that the one who came first should do as he was accustomed to do, and the one who made a niche came and made one for God’s messenger.
[Baghawi] transmitted it in Sharh as-sunna.

Jabir reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Flesh which has grown out of what is unlawful will not enter paradise*, but hell is more fitting for all flesh which has grown out of what is unlawful.”

*The reference here is to people who live on unlawful source of income.

bu Lubaba told that she said to the Prophet, “To make my repentance complete* I should abandon my people’s abode in which I committed sin and divest myself of all my property to be given as sadaqa.” He replied, “A third will be enough for you to give.”
Razin transmitted it.
* The story is given in Ibn Hisham’s as-Sirat an nabawiya (Cairo, 1355/1936), iii. 247. Quraiza had consulted him as to whether they should surrender unconditionally, and while he replied that they should, he put his hand to his throat to indicate that if they did they would be put to death, thus giving them a warning. Al-Qur’an, 8:27 is said to be connected with this incident.
وَعَن أبي لبَابَة: أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنَّ مِنْ تَوْبَتِي أَنْ أَهْجُرَ دَارَ قَوْمِي الَّتِي أَصَبْتُ فِيهَا الذَّنْبَ وَأَنْ أَنْخَلِعَ مِنْ مَالِي كُلِّهِ صَدَقَةً قَالَ: «يُجْزِئُ عَنْكَ الثُّلُثُ» . رَوَاهُ رزين

narrated that Ma’qil bin Yasar said:
“The Messenger of Allah
(saw) ruled concerning a grandfather who was among us, that he should

narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
“Healing is in three things: A
drink of honey, the glass of the cupper, and cauterizing with fire,
but I forbid my nation to use cauterization.” And he attributed it
to
the Prophet (saw).

Yahya related to me from Malik that Safwan ibn Sulaym heard that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I and the one who guards the orphan, whether for himself or for someone else, will be like these two in the Garden, when he has taqwa," indicating his middle and index fingers.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ لَهُ أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ إِذَا اتَّقَى " . وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبُعَيْهِ الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ .

I asked Muhajid regarding the prostration in Surat Sa`d. He said, "Ibn `Abbas was asked the same question and he said, 'Those are they (the prophets) whom Allah had Guided. So follow their guidance." (6.90) Ibn `Abbas used to perform a prostration (on reading this Sura).

" لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ دَعْوَةٌ يَدْعُو بِهَا فَأُرِيدُ أَنْ أَخْتَبِئَ دَعْوَتِي شَفَاعَةً لأُمَّتِي فِي الآخِرَةِ " .

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to make dua saying, "O Allah, I askYou for good actions and for leaving what is disapproved of and for love of the poor. And if You wish to try people, then bring me to You without being tried."
Allahumma inniy asa'luka fala'l-khayrati, wa tarqa'l-munqarati, wa hubba'l-masakin, wa idha aradta fi'n-nasi fitnatan fa'qbithni ilayka ghayra maftun.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَدْعُو فَيَقُولُ
" اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِي النَّاسِ فِتْنَةً فَاقْبِضْنِي إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ " .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abd ar-Rahman ibn al-Qasim from his father that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to look after the orphaned daughters of her brother in her house. They had jewellery (which they wore) and she did not take zakat from this jewellery of theirs.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said from Ismail ibn Abi Hakim that Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz freed a christian who then died. Ismail said, ''Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz ordered me to put his property in the bayt al-mal."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Abd ar- Rahman that Zayd ibn Thabit said that if a man divorced his slave-girl three times and then bought her, she was not halal for him until she had married another husband.

The Prophet saw a Bedouin making water in the mosque and told the people not to disturb him. When he finished, the Prophet asked for some water and poured it over (the urine).
