Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 131
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, "The person who strives on behalf of the widows and poor
is like those who strive in the way of Allah and like those who fast in the
day and pray at night."

Abu Musa reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless

Sufyan ibn Usayd al-Hadrami reported that he heard the Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "It is great treachery to
tell something to your brother so that he believes you when you are lying
to him."
حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ ضُبَارَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ أُسَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: كَبُرَتْ خِيَانَةً أَنْ تُحَدِّثَ أَخَاكَ حَدِيثًا هُوَ لَكَ مُصَدِّقٌ، وَأَنْتَ لَهُ كَاذِبٌ.

Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, said, "Two people do not love each other in Allah
Almighty or in Islam if the first wrong action that one of them does creates
a split between them."

Abu Dharr is reported as saying that he heard the Prophet, may

of deviance or accuses him of disbelief, that accusation will come back
on him if his companion is not as he said."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَُرَ، أَنَّ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: لاَ يَرْمِي رَجُلٌ رَجُلاً بِالْفُسُوقِ، وَلاَ يَرْمِيهِ بِالْكُفْرِ، إِلاَّ ارْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبُهُ كَذَلِكَ.

Salim reported from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by a man who berating his brother
about his modesty. He told him, "Let him be. Modesty is part of faith."

name is Muslim.'"

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي زُمَيْلٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، يَرْفَعْهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ: لاَ أَعْلَمُهُ إِلاَّ رَفَعَهُ، قَالَ: إِفْرَاغُكَ مِنْ دَلْوِكَ فِي دَلْوِ أَخِيكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَأَمْرُكَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهْيُكَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ صَدَقَةٌ، وَتَبَسُّمُكَ فِي وَجْهِ أَخِيكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَإِمَاطَتُكَ الْحَجَرَ وَالشَّوْكَ وَالْعَظْمَ عَنْ طَرِيقِ النَّاسِ لَكَ صَدَقَةٌ، وَهِدَايَتُكَ الرَّجُلَ فِي أَرْضِ الضَّالَّةِ صَدَقَةٌ.

'Abdullah ibn 'Amr reported that a man asked the Messenger of

He replied, "Feeding people and giving the greeting to those you know and
those you do not know."

Jabir reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say "Limit going out after tranquility, for verily there are creations of Allah (whom) He disperses. So if you hear the barking of dogs or the braying of donkeys, then seek refuge with Allah from the Devil."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم. قَالَ ابْنُ الْهَادِ: وَحَدَّثَنِي شُرَحْبِيلُ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: أَقِلُّوا الْخُرُوجَ بَعْدَ هُدُوءٍ، فَإِنَّ لِلَّهِ خَلْقًا يَبُثُّهُمْ، فَإِذَا سَمِعْتُمْ نُبَاحَ الْكِلاَبِ أَوْ نُهَاقَ الْحَمِيرِ، فَاسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ.

Allah’s Messenger (saw) educated us about lavatory (manners) that we should sit on our left foot and keep erect our right foot. [Reported by Al-Baihaqi through a chain of weak narrators].
وَعَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { عَلَّمْنَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فِي اَلْخَلَاءِ:

"مَنْ وَلِيَ اَلْقَضَاءَ فَقَدْ ذُبِحَ بِغَيْرِ سِكِّينٍ" } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ 1 وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 2 .

Narrated Jabir (RA):

'Amra daughter of ‘Abd al-Raḥmān reported on the authority of the sister of ‘Amra:
“I memorized (surah) "Qāf, by the glorious Qur'an" from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on Friday as he recited it on the pulpit on every Jumu’ah (Friday).”

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who is
asked about something he knows and conceals it will have a bridle of fire

This hadith has been reported by 'Auza'i with the same chain of transmitters:
We used to slaughter the camel during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) after the 'Asr prayer, but he made no mention of:" We used to pray along with him."

Jabir b. Samura reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to observe prayers like your prayers, but he would delay the prayer after nightfall to a little after the time you observed it, and he would shorten the prayer.

I came to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) along with other persons and we were young men of nearly equal age, and the rest of the hadith was transmitted like the hadith narrated before.

'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), reported:
The prayer was prescribed as two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs both in journey and at the place of residence. The prayer while travelling remained as it was (originally prescribed), but an addition was made in the prayer (observed) at the place of residence.

Abdullah reported:
None of you should give a share to Satan out of your self. He should not deem that it is necessary for him to turn but to the right only (after prayer). I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) turning to the left.

I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and he lengthened it till I entertained an evil thought. It was said to him what that thought was. He said: I thought that I should sit down and forsake him.

'A'isha reported that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) heard a person reciting the Qur'an at night. Upon this he said:
May Allah show mercy to him; he has reminded me of such and such a verse which I had missed in such and such a surah.

Keep refreshing your knowledge of the Qur'an, for I swear by Him in Whose Hand is the life of Mahammad that it is more liable to escape than camels which are hobbled.

" تَعَاهَدُوا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ لَهُوَ أَشَدُّ تَفَلُّتًا مِنَ الإِبِلِ فِي عُقُلِهَا " . وَلَفْظُ الْحَدِيثِ لاِبْنِ بَرَّادٍ.

There Is between the two calls (Adhan and Iqama) a prayer. And he mentioned it three times, and at the third time he said: This applies to those who wish to do it.

Umm 'Atiyya reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) took pledge from us (including this promise) that we would not lament. Only five amongst us fulfilled the promise, and one of them (who fulfilled the promise) was Umm Sulaim.

It is reported on the authority of Jabir ibn Samura that an unsaddled horse was brought to the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) and he rode on it when he returned after having offered the funeral prayer of Ibn Dahdah and we walked on foot around him.

It is better that one of you should sit on live coals which would burn his clothing and come in contact with his skin than that he should sit on a grave.

No sadaqa (zakat) is payable on less than five wasqs of (dates or grains), on less than five camel-heads and on less than five uqiyas (of silver).

" لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلاَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلاَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ " .

No Sadaqa (zakat) is due on less than five wasqs of (dates or grains), on less than five camel-heads, and on less than five uqiyas (of silver).

If the son of Adam were to possess two valleys of riches. he would long for the third one. And the stomach of the son of Adam is not filled but with dust. And Allah returns to him who repents.

I go back to my family and I find a date lying on my bed. I then take it up to eat it, but then I throw it away fearing that it may be a Sadaqa.

" إِنِّي لأَنْقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِي فَأَجِدُ التَّمْرَةَ سَاقِطَةً عَلَى فِرَاشِي ثُمَّ أَرْفَعُهَا لآكُلَهَا ثُمَّ أَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً فَأُلْقِيهَا " .

We travelled with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). The observer of the fast observed it, and the breaker of the fast broke it, but none of them found fault with each other.

If I live till the next (year), I would definitely observe fast on the 9th, and the narration transmitted by Abu Bakr is:" He meant the day of Ashura."
