It is reported on the authority of Jabir and Ibn Umar that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade (the preparation) of Nabidh in hollow stump and varnished jar and gourd.

Jabir reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
Shut the doors; the rest of the hadith is the same but with a slight variation of wording: Cover the utensils, and further said: It (the mouse) may set fire to the clothes of the residents of the house.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2008
Narrated 'Aishah:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) alighted at al-Muhassab so that it might be easier for him to proceed (to Medina). It is not a sunnah (i.e. a rite of Hajj). Anyone who desires may alight there, and anyone who does not want may not alight.

Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah :
We performed tamattu' during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (saws), sacrificed a cow for seven and a camel for seven people. We shared them.

This has been transmitted by Abu 'Asim and Hammad b. Mas'adah as transmitted by Ibn Bakr.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: Allah, the Exalted, has placed truth on Umar's tongue and he speaks it.

Abu Hurairah reported the Messenger of Allah (saws) as saying:
If anyone drinks poison, the poison will be in his hand (on the Day of Judgement) and he will drink it in Hell-fire and he will live in it eternally.

Mishkat al-Masabih 914
Ibn ‘Umar said God’s Messenger forbade that a man should sit during prayer leaning on his hand.
Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and in a version by Abu Dawud it says he forbade that a man should lean on his hands when he got up during the prayer.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ الرَّجُلُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ وَهُوَ مُعْتَمِدٌ عَلَى يَدِهِ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَأَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 1367
‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God's Messenger as saying, “Any Muslim who dies on Friday or on Thursday night will be protected by God from the testing in the grave."
Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition whose isnad is not fully connected.

Musa b. ‘Ubaida, client of Muhammad b. al-Qasim, told that Muhammad b. al-Qasim sent him to al-Bara’ b. ‘Azib to ask him about God’s Messenger’s standard, and he said it was black and square, being made of a woollen rug.
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Safina told that he heard the Prophet say, "The Caliphate will last thirty years, then there will be a kingdom." Then Safina was saying:
Calculate Abu Bakr's Caliphate as two years, `Umar's as ten, `Uthman's as twelve, and `Ali's as six.
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَن سفينة قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «الْخِلَافَةُ ثَلَاثُونَ سَنَةً ثُمَّ تَكُونُ مُلْكًا» . ثُمَّ يَقُولُ سَفِينَةُ: أَمْسِكْ: خِلَافَةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ سَنَتَيْنِ وَخِلَافَةَ عُمَرَ عَشْرَةً وَعُثْمَانَ اثْنَتَيْ عَشْرَةَ وَعَلِيٍّ سِتَّةً. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ

Bulugh al-Maram 710
Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RAA) narrated, A Bedouin came to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about 'Umrah! Is it compulsory? He replied (P.B.U.H.), “No (it is not compulsory), but it is better for you to perform it.” Related by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi. Scholars are of the opinion that it is Mawquf.
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: { أَتَى اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَعْرَابِيٌّ. فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ اَلْعُمْرَةِ, أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ? فَقَالَ:
" لَا. وَأَنْ تَعْتَمِرَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ " } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَالرَّاجِحُ وَقْفُهُ 1 .

Shaddad bin Aus (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) came across a man in Al-Baqi' (in Madinah) who was having himself cupped in Ramadan., and said to him, “The one who cups and the one who is being cupped have both broken their fast." Related by the five Imams except for At-Tirmidhi. Ahmad, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban regarded it as authentic.
وَعَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي رَمَضَانَ. فَقَالَ:
" أَفْطَرَ اَلْحَاجِمُ [ وَالْمَحْجُومُ ] " } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا اَلتِّرْمِذِيَّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Narrated Rafi' bin Khadij (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Whoever sows in the land of a people without their permission, he has no right to any of the crop. However, he is entitled to what he spent on it."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a except an-Nasa'i. at-Tirmidhi graded it Hasan (good).
وَعَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَنْ زَرَعَ فِي أَرْضِ قَوْمٍ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِهِمْ, فَلَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ اَلزَّرْعِ شَيْءٌ, وَلَهُ نَفَقَتُهُ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ إِلَّا النَّسَائِيَّ, وَحَسَّنَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ 1 .

Narrated 'Aisha (ra):
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: “Whoever vomits, bleeds through the nose, or released Madhi (urethral discharge) should go, perform ablution and then complete his Salat (prayer) (by continuing from where he had stopped at) on condition that he does not speak in the process”. Reported by Ibn Majah and it was graded weak by Ahmed.
]وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَنْ أَصَابَهُ قَيْءٌ , أَوْ رُعَافٌ , أَوْ مَذْيٌ , فَلْيَنْصَرِفْ , فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ , ثُمَّ لِيَبْنِ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِ , وَهُوَ فِي ذَلِكَ لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ مَاجَهْ , وَضَعَّفَهُ أَحْمَدُ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 223, 224
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who is
asked about something he knows and conceals it will have a bridle of fire
put on him on the day of resurrection.” Ahmad, Abu Dawud and
Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ibn Majah transmitted it from Anas.

Abu Umama reported that a man asked God’s messenger what faith was, to which he replied, “When your good deed pleases you and your evil deed grieves you, you are a believer.” He then asked what sin was and received the reply, “When you have a besetting sin, give it up.”
Ahmad transmitted it.

Mu‘adh b. Jabal said that he heard God’s messenger say, “He who meets his Lord having associated nothing with Him, observed the five times of prayer, and fasted during Ramadan will be forgiven.” Mu'adh asked whether he should not give them the good news, but was told to let them go on doing [good] works.
Ahmad transmitted it.

Mishkat al-Masabih 1707
Ibn ‘Umar told that when the dead was placed in the grave the Prophet said, “In the name of God, by God’s grace, and following the religion of God’s messenger.” A version has “And following the sunna of God’s messenger.”
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Abu Dawud transmitted the second version.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَدْخَلَ الْمَيِّتَ الْقَبْرَ قَالَ: «بِسم الله وَبِاللَّهِ وعَلى ملكة رَسُولِ اللَّهِ» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: " وَعَلَى سُنَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَرَوَى أَبُو دَاوُد الثَّانِيَة

Al-Hasan b. ‘Ali said:
I have retained in my memory these words of God's Messenger, “Leave what causes you doubt and turn to what does not cause you doubt. Truth is tranquility, but falsehood is doubt.”
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it, and Darimi transmitted the first part.
وَعَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لَا يَرِيبُكَ فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ رِيبَةٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَرَوَى الدَّارِمِيُّ الْفَصْل الأول

Mishkat al-Masabih 2455
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said that at the battle of the Trench [The siege of Medina in 5 A. H.] they asked God’s messenger whether there was anything they could repeat, for their hearts were in their mouths.* He replied that there was; they should say, “O God, cover our danger points(1) and give security from fears.” He said that God then sent a wind in the faces of His enemies and God routed them by the wind.
*Literally, ‘For the hearts had reached the windpipes.’
1. The word is 'aurat used in a similar prayer on p. 510. There it was translated 'faults'. Another meaning refers to places on a frontier, etc., which give openings to an enemy, and so are places where caution is necessary. This seems more suitable in the present context. Cf. Mirqat, iii, 134.

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْنَا يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ نَقُولُهُ؟ فَقَدْ بَلَغَتِ الْقُلُوبُ الْحَنَاجِرَ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ اللَّهُمَّ اسْتُرْ عَوْرَاتِنَا وَآمِنْ رَوْعَاتِنَا» قَالَ: فَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ وُجُوهَ أَعْدَائِهِ بِالرِّيحِ وَهَزَمَ اللَّهُ بِالرِّيحِ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمد

He who does not find shoes to wear may wear socks, and he who does not find lower garment to wear may put on trousers.

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:

narrated that Thawban said:
“I heard the Prophet (saw) say:

It was
narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
“The oen who serves water to others should be the last one to drink
from it.”

It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:
“When the Messenger of Allah

went out from this city (Al-Madinah) he did not perform more

Rak’ah for prayer until he returned.”

Narrated Ibrahim's grand-father that 'Umar(ra) in his last Hajj allowed the wives of the Prophet(saws)to perform Hajj and he sent with them 'Uthman bin 'Affan(ra) and 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf(ra) as escorts.
وَقَالَ لِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَذِنَ عُمَرُ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ لأَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي آخِرِ حَجَّةٍ حَجَّهَا، فَبَعَثَ مَعَهُنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ.

Narrated `Aishah:
May Allah bestow His Mercy on the early emigrant women. When Allah revealed: "... and to draw their veils all over their Juyubihinna (i.e., their bodies, faces, necks and bosoms)..." (V.24:31) they tore their Murat (woolen dresses or waist-binding clothes or aprons etc.) and covered their heads and faces with those torn Muruts.
وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ يُونُسَ، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ نِسَاءَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الأُوَلَ، لَمَّا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ} شَقَّقْنَ مُرُوطَهُنَّ فَاخْتَمَرْنَ بِها.

Hajjāj bin ash-Shā’ir narrated to me, Ahmad bin Yūnus narrated to us, he said, I heard Zuhayr saying, Jābir said, or, I heard Jābir saying:
‘Indeed I have fifty thousand Ḥadīth that I have not narrated from at all’. [Zuhayr] said: ‘Then that day he related a Ḥadīth and said, ‘This is from the fifty thousand’.
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ زُهَيْرًا، يَقُولُ قَالَ جَابِرٌ - أَوْ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ - إِنَّ عِنْدِي لَخَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ حَدِيثٍ مَا حَدَّثْتُ مِنْهَا بِشَىْءٍ . قَالَ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ يَوْمًا بِحَدِيثٍ فَقَالَ هَذَا مِنَ الْخَمْسِينَ أَلْفًا .

The distance of the two shoulders of the non-believer in Hell will be a three-day journey for a swift rider.

The verse “And the poets it is those straying in evil who follow them. He (Allah) then abrogated it and made an exception saying: Except those who believe and work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah."

'Ariyyah means that a man gives another man a palm-tree on loan, or it means that reserves one or two palm-trees from his property for his personal use, then he sells for dried dates.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
When the opening verses of Surah Al-muzammil was revealed, the Companions would pray as long as they would pray during Ramadan until its last verses were revealed. The period between the revelation of its opening and the last verses was one year.

It is narrated on the authority of Umar b. Hani with the same chain of transmitters with the exception of these words:
Allah would make him (he who affirms these truths) enter Paradise through one of the eight doors which he would like.

'A'isha reported:
A woman asked the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) how he should wash herself after the menstrual period. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Take a cotton with musk and purity yourself, and the rest of the hadith was narrated like that of Sufyan.

Musaykah, a slave-girl of some Ansari, came and said: My master forces me to commit fornication. Thereupon the following verse was revealed: "But force not your maids to prostitution (when they desire chastity)."

Mishkat al-Masabih 933
‘Ali reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The niggardly one is the man in whose presence I am mentioned but who does not invoke a blessing on me.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted it from al-Husain b. ‘Ali. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الْبَخِيلُ الَّذِي ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيَّ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَرَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا. وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ

Abud Darda’ reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If there are three men in a village or in the desert among whom prayer is not arranged, the devil has got the mastery over them. So observe prayer in company, for the wolf eats only the straggling animal.”
Ahmad, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ فِي قَرْيَةٍ وَلَا بَدْوٍ لَا تُقَامُ فِيهِمُ الصَّلَاةُ إِلَّا قَدِ اسْتَحْوَذَ عَلَيْهِمُ الشَّيْطَانُ فَعَلَيْكَ بِالْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُ الذِّئْبُ الْقَاصِيَةَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ

وَعَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ وَعَلَيْهِ مِطْرَفٌ مِنْ خَزٍّ وَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ نِعْمَةً فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَى أَثَرَ نِعْمَتِهِ عَلَى عَبده» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد

Ibn 'Abbas reported God's messenger as saying, "Being given information is not like seeing. God most high gave Moses information about what his people had done regarding the calf and he did not throw down the tablets, but when he saw what they did he threw down the tablets and they were broken."
Ahmad transmitted the three traditions.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَيْسَ الْخَبَرُ كَالْمُعَايَنَةِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى أَخْبَرَ مُوسَى بِمَا صَنَعَ قَوْمُهُ فِي الْعِجْلِ فَلَمْ يُلْقِ الْأَلْوَاحَ فَلَمَّا عَايَنَ مَا صَنَعُوا أَلْقَى الْأَلْوَاحَ فَانْكَسَرَتْ. رَوَى الْأَحَادِيث الثَّلَاثَة أَحْمد

Ma'qil bin An-Nu‘man bin Muqarrin (RAA) narrated, ‘I witnessed (battles with) Allah’s Messenger and if he did not start fighting at the beginning of the day, he delayed the fighting till the sun had passed the meridian, and the wind blew and victory descended from Allah.” Related by Ahmad and the three Imams. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ مَعْقِلٍ; أَنَّ اَلنُّعْمَانَ بْنَ مُقَرِّنٍ قَالَ: { شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -إِذَا لَمْ يُقَاتِلْ أَوَّلَ اَلنَّهَارِ أَخَّرَ اَلْقِتَالِ حَتَّى تَزُولَ اَلشَّمْسُ, وَتَهُبَّ اَلرِّيَاحُ, وَيَنْزِلَ اَلنَّصْرُ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالثَّلَاثَةُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ 1 .

'Ali (RAA) narrated, 'Allah's Messenger (PBUH) enjoined us to pay great attention to the eye and the ear and not sacrifice a one-eyed animal with a slit which leaves something hanging at the front or back of the ear, or with a perforation in the ear, or an animal with broken front teeth.' Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ اَلْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ, وَلَا نُضَحِّيَ بِعَوْرَاءَ, وَلَا مُقَابَلَةٍ, وَلَا مُدَابَرَةٍ, وَلَا خَرْمَاءَ, وَلَا ثَرْمَاءَ" } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالْأَرْبَعَة ُ (1773) . وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِم ُ (1774) .

Bulugh al-Maram 1416
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "It is not permissible to accept the testimony of a man or a woman who does not fulfill their trusts, or of one who harbors a grudge against his brother, or the testimony of one who is dependent on a family (to testify) for members of the family."

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{

Narrated Salim on the authority if his father:
Ghailan bin Salamah accepted Islam and he had ten wives who accepted Islam along with him. So, the Prophet (SAW) commanded him to, "Choose four of them."
[Reported by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi. Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic); but al-Bukhari, Abu Zur'ah and Abu Hatim considered it defective].

Narrated 'Aishah (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said, "There are three people whose actions are not recorded, a sleeping person till he awakes, a child till he is a grown up, and an insane person till he is restored to reason or recovers his sense."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a, except at-Tirmidhi. al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا, عَنْ اَلنَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { رُفِعَ اَلْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ: عَنِ اَلنَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ, وَعَنِ اَلصَّغِيرِ حَتَّى يَكْبُرَ, وَعَنِ اَلْمَجْنُونِ حَتَّى يَعْقِلَ, أَوْ يَفِيقَ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ إِلَّا اَلتِّرْمِذِيَّ وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ. 1 .

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
A man gave away a she-camel to Allah's Messenger (SAW). So he gave him something in return for it and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "No." So he gave him more and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "No." Again he gave him more and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "Yes."
[Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ : { وَهَبَ رَجُلٌ لِرَسُولِ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَاقَةً، فَأَثَابَهُ عَلَيْهَا , فَقَالَ : " رَضِيتَ" ? قَالَ : لَا . فَزَادَهُ , فَقَالَ : "رَضِيتَ"? قَالَ : لَا . فَزَادَهُ . قَالَ : "رَضِيتَ" ? قَالَ : نَعَمْ. } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّان َ 1

Narrated Umm Salamah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) came to my house after offering 'Asr prayer and offered two Rak'a, then I asked him about that and he replied, "I was kept busy (and failed to pray) the two (Sunnah) Rak'a after Zuhr prayer, so I offered them now." I asked him, "Should we offer them if we miss them?" He (SAW) replied, "No."

وَعَنْ أَمْ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { صَلَّى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -اَلْعَصْرَ, ثُمَّ دَخَلَ بَيْتِي, فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ, فَسَأَلْتُهُ, فَقَالَ: "شُغِلْتُ عَنْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ اَلظُّهْرِ, فَصَلَّيْتُهُمَا اَلْآنَ", قُلْتُ: أَفَنَقْضِيهِمَا إِذَا فَاتَتْنَا? قَالَ: "لَا" } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ 1 .

Anas b. Malik said:
Ubayy, Abu Talha and I sat and ate some meat and bread, after which I called for water to perform ablution. They asked, “Why are you performing ablution?” and I replied that it was because of this food which we had eaten. They said, “Do you perform ablution after eating things which are good? He who was better than you did not perform ablution on that account.”
Ahmad transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَأَبِي وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ جُلُوسًا فَأَكَلْنَا لَحْمًا وَخُبْزًا ثُمَّ دَعَوْتُ بِوَضُوءٍ فَقَالَا لِمَ تَتَوَضَّأُ فَقُلْتُ لِهَذَا الطَّعَامِ الَّذِي أَكَلْنَا فَقَالَا أَتَتَوَضَّأُ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْهُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْك. رَوَاهُ أَحْمد

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As said that the Prophet came upon Sa'd when he was performing ablution and asked, “What is the meaning of this extravagance, Sa'd?” He replied, “Is there extravagance in ablution?” He said, “Yes, even if you are beside a flowing river.’’
Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَرَّ بِسَعْدٍ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا السَّرَفُ يَا سَعْدُ» . قَالَ: أَفِي الْوُضُوءِ سَرَفٌ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ عَلَى نَهْرٍ جَارٍ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَابْن مَاجَه

" أَتَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُطُونُهُمْ كَالْبُيُوتِ فِيهَا الْحَيَّاتُ تُرَى مِنْ خَارِجِ بُطُونِهِمْ فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ: هَؤُلَاءِ أَكَلَةُ الرِّبَا ". رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَابْن مَاجَه

Abu Musa reported the Prophet as saying, “The greatest sin in God's sight, after the serious sins which God has prohibited, which a man can bring into His presence is that he should die in debt without leaving enough to discharge it.”

وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّ أَعْظَمَ الذُّنُوبِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ أَنْ يَلْقَاهُ بِهَا عَبْدٌ بَعْدَ الْكَبَائِرِ الَّتِي نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنْ يَمُوتَ رَجُلٌ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ لَا يَدَعُ لَهُ قَضَاءً» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَأَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 2944, 2945
Sa'id b. Zaid reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone makes barren land fertile it belongs to him, but no right pertains to one who plants wrongfully in land another has brought into cultivation*”.
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Malik transmitted it in mursal form on the authority of ‘Urwa. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan gharib tradition.
*'Irq zalim, the literal translation would be “a wrongful root.” The translation given above represents the general sense of the phrase.
عَن سعيد بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «من أحيى أَرْضًا مَيْتَةً فَهِيَ لَهُ وَلَيْسَ لِعِرْقٍ ظَالِمٍ حق» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد

He told of hearing God’s Messenger say, “If anyone wrongly takes a span of land God who is great and glorious will make him dig it till he gets to the end of seven earths, and then he will have it tied round his neck till the day of resurrection until men are judged.”

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ ظَلَمَ شِبْرًا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ كَلَّفَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يَحْفِرَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ آخِرَ سَبْعِ أَرَضِينَ ثُمَّ يُطَوَّقَهُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاس» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد
