Allāhumma `abduka wabnu 'amatik iḥtāja ilā raḥmatik, wa anta ghaniyyun `an `adhābih, in kāna muḥsinan fazid fī ḥasanātih, wa in kāna musī'an fatajāwaz `anh. O Allah, Your male slave and the child of Your female slave is in need of Your mercy, and You are not in need of his torment. Mishkat al-Masabih 5576
In the tradition about intercession Hudhaifa reported God's messenger as saying, "Fidelity and ties of relationship will be sent and will stand on the two sides of the path, right and left." Muslim transmitted it.

Al-Hakim transmitted the same hadith on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RAA) giving similar meaning. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Take him away and cut off his hand and cauterize him." Al-Bazzar transmitted the same hadith but commented that its chain of narrators is not sound.

As he was dying, the Prophet (SAW) dipped his hands in water and wiped his face saying:
Lā ilāha illallāh inna li ‘lmawti la’sakarāt. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, surely death has agonies. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 8/144. The Hadith also mention him using the Siivak (tooth stick).
