My father has come under Allah's obligation of performing Hajj but he is a very old man and cannot sit properly on his Mount. Will the obligation be fulfilled if I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet replied in the affirmative.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ صُبْحٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ خِلَاسَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، تَقُولُ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ :" يَكُونُ مَعِي فِي الشِّعَارِ الْوَاحِدِ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ طَامِثٌ إِنْ أَصَابَهُ مِنِّي شَيْءٌ غَسَلَ مَا أَصَابَهُ، لَمْ يَعْدُهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ، وَصَلَّى فِيهِ ثُمَّ يَعُودُ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ مِنِّي شَيْءٌ، فَعَلَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، غَسَلَ مَكَانَهُ لَمْ يَعْدُهُ إِلَى غَيْرِهِ، وَصَلَّى فِيهِ "

أَخْبَرَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ الْجَرَّاحِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ :" أَوَّلُ دِينِكُمْ نُبُوَّةٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ، ثُمَّ مُلْكٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ، ثُمَّ مُلْكٌ أَعْفَرُ، ثُمَّ مُلْكٌ وَجَبَرُوتٌ يُسْتَحَلُّ فِيهَا الْخَمْرُ وَالْحَرِيرُ ".
قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد : سُئِلَ عَنْ أَعْفَرَ، فَقَالَ : يُشَبِّهِهُ بِالتُّرَابِ وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ خَيْرٌ

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 457, 458
Umm Salamah narrated:
"The Prophet would perform Witr with thirteen [Rak'ah]. When he was older and became weak he performed Witr with seven."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُوتِرُ بِثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً فَلَمَّا كَبِرَ وَضَعُفَ أَوْتَرَ بِسَبْعٍ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْوِتْرُ بِثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ وَإِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ وَتِسْعٍ وَسَبْعٍ وَخَمْسٍ وَثَلاَثٍ وَوَاحِدَةٍ . قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَعْنَى مَا رُوِيَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُوتِرُ بِثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا مَعْنَاهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً مَعَ الْوِتْرِ فَنُسِبَتْ صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ إِلَى الْوِتْرِ . وَرَوَى فِي ذَلِكَ حَدِيثًا عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَاحْتَجَّ بِمَا رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ
" أَوْتِرُوا يَا أَهْلَ الْقُرْآنِ " . قَالَ إِنَّمَا عَنَى بِهِ قِيَامَ اللَّيْلِ يَقُولُ إِنَّمَا قِيَامُ اللَّيْلِ عَلَى أَصْحَابِ الْقُرْآنِ .

Aishah narrated:
"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to perform I'tikaf, he would perform Fajr prayer and then he would enter his place of I'tikaf."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِي مُعْتَكَفِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُرْسَلاً . رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ مُرْسَلاً . وَرَوَاهُ الأَوْزَاعِيُّ وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ إِذَا أَرَادَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فِي مُعْتَكَفِهِ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَإِسْحَاقَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فَلْتَغِبْ لَهُ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الَّتِي يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْغَدِ وَقَدْ قَعَدَ فِي مُعْتَكَفِهِ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَمَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ .

Amr bin Kharajah narrated:
"The Prophet (s.a.w) gave a Khutbah upon his she-camel, while I was under the front of her neck, and she was chewing her curd, with her saliva dripping between my shoulders. I heard him saying: 'Indeed Allah, Most Blessed and Most High, has given the right due to everyone deserving a right. So there is no will for an heir, the child is for the bed, and for the fornicator is the stone.'"
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَطَبَ عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ وَأَنَا تَحْتَ جِرَانِهَا وَهِيَ تَقْصَعُ بِجَرَّتِهَا وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهَا يَسِيلُ بَيْنَ كَتِفَىَّ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعْطَى كُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ وَلاَ وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ وَالْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ وَمَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ أَوِ انْتَمَى إِلَى غَيْرِ مَوَالِيهِ رَغْبَةً عَنْهُمْ فَعَلَيْهِ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ لاَ يَقْبَلُ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَرْفًا وَلاَ عَدْلاً " . قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ الْحَسَنِ يَقُولُ قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ لاَ أُبَالِي بِحَدِيثِ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ . قَالَ وَسَأَلْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ فَوَثَّقَهُ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَكَلَّمُ فِيهِ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ثُمَّ رَوَى ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ أَبِي زَيْنَبَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Ibn 'Umar narrated:
" 'Umar delivered a Khutbah to us at Al-Jabiyah. He said: 'O you people! Indeed I have stood among you as the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) stood among us, and he said: "I order you (to stick to) my Companions, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then lying will spread until a man will take an oath when no oath was sought from him, and a witness will testify when his testimony was not sought. Behold! A man is not alone with a woman but the third of them is Ash-Shaitan. Adhere to the Jama'ah, beware of separation, for indeed Ash-Shaitan is with one, and he is further away from two. Whoever wants the best place in Paradise, then let him stick to the Jama'ah. Whoever rejoices with his good deeds and grieves over his evil deeds, then that is the believer among you.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عُمَرُ بِالْجَابِيَةِ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنِّي قُمْتُ فِيكُمْ كَمَقَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِينَا فَقَالَ
" أُوصِيكُمْ بِأَصْحَابِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَفْشُو الْكَذِبُ حَتَّى يَحْلِفَ الرَّجُلُ وَلاَ يُسْتَحْلَفُ وَيَشْهَدَ الشَّاهِدُ وَلاَ يُسْتَشْهَدُ أَلاَ لاَ يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلاَّ كَانَ ثَالِثَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْجَمَاعَةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْفُرْقَةَ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ مَعَ الْوَاحِدِ وَهُوَ مِنَ الاِثْنَيْنِ أَبْعَدُ مَنْ أَرَادَ بُحْبُوحَةَ الْجَنَّةِ فَلْيَلْزَمِ الْجَمَاعَةَ مَنْ سَرَّتْهُ حَسَنَتُهُ وَسَاءَتْهُ سَيِّئَتُهُ فَذَلِكَ الْمُؤْمِنُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"The believer, when he desires a child in Paradise, he shall be carried (in pregnancy), born, and complete his aging in an hour as he desires."
The people of knowledge disagreed concerning this, so some of them said that in Paradise there is intercourse but no births. It has been reported like this from Tawus, Mujahid and Ibrahim AnNakha'i. Muhammad said: "Concerning the Hadith of the Prophet SAW: 'When the believer desires a child in Paradise, it shall be in an hour as he desires' Ishaq bin Ibrahim said: 'But he will not desire." Muhammad said: "And it has been reported from Abu Razin Al- 'Uqaili from the Prophet SAW that he said: 'Indeed the people of Paradise shall not have children therein."

حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْمُؤْمِنُ إِذَا اشْتَهَى الْوَلَدَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَانَ حَمْلُهُ وَوَضْعُهُ وَسِنُّهُ فِي سَاعَةٍ كَمَا يَشْتَهِي " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَقَدِ اخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي هَذَا فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ جِمَاعٌ وَلاَ يَكُونُ وَلَدٌ . هَكَذَا رُوِيَ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ وَمُجَاهِدٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ . وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فِي حَدِيثِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا اشْتَهَى الْمُؤْمِنُ الْوَلَدَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَانَ فِي سَاعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ كَمَا يَشْتَهِي " . وَلَكِنْ لاَ يَشْتَهِي . قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ لاَ يَكُونُ لَهُمْ فِيهَا وَلَدٌ " . وَأَبُو الصِّدِّيقِ النَّاجِيُّ اسْمُهُ بَكْرُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَيُقَالُ بَكْرُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ أَيْضًا .

Abu Umamah, and other than him from the Companions of the Prophet (saws), narrated that the Prophet (saws) said:
"Any Muslim man who frees a Muslim man, then it is his salvation from the Fire - each of his limbs suffices for a limb of himself. And any Muslim man that frees two Muslim women, then are his salvation from the Fire - each of their limbs suffices for a limb of himself. And any Muslim woman that frees a Muslim woman, then she is her salvation from the Fire - each of her limb suffices for a limb of herself."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ هُوَ أَخُو سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ وَغَيْرِهِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَيُّمَا امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا كَانَ فَكَاكَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ يُجْزِي كُلُّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنْهُ وَأَيُّمَا امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأَتَيْنِ مُسْلِمَتَيْنِ كَانَتَا فَكَاكَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ يُجْزِي كُلُّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُمَا عُضْوًا مِنْهُ وَأَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ مُسْلِمَةٍ أَعْتَقَتْ امْرَأَةً مُسْلِمَةً كَانَتْ فَكَاكَهَا مِنْ النَّارِ يُجْزِي كُلُّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهَا عُضْوًا مِنْهَا قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ مَا يَدُلُّ عَلَى أَنَّ عِتْقَ الذُّكُورِ لِلرِّجَالِ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ عِتْقِ الْإِنَاثِ لِقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ امْرَأً مُسْلِمًا كَانَ فَكَاكَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ يُجْزِي كُلُّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنْهُ

It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
“A man came to the Prophet
(saw),
upon his return from Uhud, and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, in
my
dream I saw a cloud giving shade, from which drops of ghee and
honey
were falling, and I saw people collecting them in the palms of
their
hands, some gathering a lot and some a little. And I saw a rope
reaching up into heaven, and I saw you take hold of it and rise with
it. Then another man took hold of it after you rose with it, then
another man took hold of it after him and rose with it. Then a man
took hold of it after him and it broke, then it was reconnected and
he
rose with it.’ Abu Bakr said: ‘Let me interpret it, O
Messenger of
Allah.’ He said: ‘Interpret it.’ He said: ‘As
for the cloud giving
shade, it is Islam, and the drops of honey and
ghee that fall from it
(represent) the Qur’an with its sweetness
and softness. As for the
people collecting that in their palms, some
learn a lot of the Qur’an
and some learn a little. As for the rope
reaching up into heaven, it
is the truth that you are following; you
took hold of it and rose with
it, then another man till take hold of
it after you and rise with you,
then another, who will rise with it,
then another, but it will break
and then he reconnected, then he will
rise with it.’ He said: ‘You
have got some of it right and some
of it wrong.’ Abu Bakr said: ‘I
adjure you O Messenger of Allah,
tell me what I got right and what I
got wrong.’ The Prophet (saw)
said: ‘Do not swear, O Abu Bakr.”*
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ رَجُلٌ مُنْصَرَفَهُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ فِي الْمَنَامِ ظُلَّةً تَنْطِفُ سَمْنًا وَعَسَلاً وَرَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ يَتَكَفَّفُونَ مِنْهَا فَالْمُسْتَكْثِرُ وَالْمُسْتَقِلُّ وَرَأَيْتُ سَبَبًا وَاصِلاً إِلَى السَّمَاءِ رَأَيْتُكَ أَخَذْتَ بِهِ فَعَلَوْتَ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ بَعْدَكَ فَعَلاَ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ بَعْدَهُ فَعَلاَ بِهِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِهِ رَجُلٌ بَعْدَهُ فَانْقَطَعَ بِهِ ثُمَّ وُصِلَ لَهُ فَعَلاَ بِهِ . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ دَعْنِي أَعْبُرْهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " اعْبُرْهَا " . قَالَ أَمَّا الظُّلَّةُ فَالإِسْلاَمُ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنْطِفُ مِنْهَا مِنَ الْعَسَلِ وَالسَّمْنِ فَهُوَ الْقُرْآنُ حَلاَوَتُهُ وَلِينُهُ وَأَمَّا مَا يَتَكَفَّفُ مِنْهُ النَّاسُ فَالآخِذُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ كَثِيرًا وَقَلِيلاً وَأَمَّا السَّبَبُ الْوَاصِلُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَمَا أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ أَخَذْتَ بِهِ فَعَلاَ بِكَ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَعْدِكَ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ آخَرُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ ثُمَّ آخَرُ فَيَنْقَطِعُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُوَصَّلُ لَهُ فَيَعْلُو بِهِ . قَالَ " أَصَبْتَ بَعْضًا وَأَخْطَأْتَ بَعْضًا " . قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَقْسَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَتُخْبِرَنِّي بِالَّذِي أَصَبْتُ مِنَ الَّذِي أَخْطَأْتُ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ تُقْسِمْ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ " .

Umm Habiba said she heard God’s Messenger say, “If anyone keeps on praying four rak'as before and four after the noon prayer, God will forbid that he be sent to hell.”

Thauban reported God’s messenger as saying,
"If anyone guarantees me that he will not beg from people, I will guarantee him paradise.”
Thauban said that he would, and he never asked anyone for anything.

Narrated Anas (rad):
The Companions of Allah’s Messenger (saw) in his lifetime used to wait for the ‘Isha (night) prayer, so much so that their heads were lowered down (by dozing). They would then pray without performing ablution. [Reported by Abu Da’ud and Ad-Daraqutni graded it Sahih (sound). Its origin is in Muslim].
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم --عَلَى عَهْدِهِ- يَنْتَظِرُونَ اَلْعِشَاءَ حَتَّى تَخْفِقَ رُؤُوسُهُمْ, ثُمَّ يُصَلُّونَ وَلَا يَتَوَضَّئُونَ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلدَّارَقُطْنِيّ ُ 1 .

Narrated 'Aishah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Any profit goes to the one who bears responsibility."

Narrated Anas (RA) that when Allah's Messenger (SAW) came to al-Madinah, the people had two days on which they engaged in games. He (SAW) said, "Allah has substituted for you something better than them:
the day of sacrifice and the day of breaking the fast."

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: { قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -اَلْمَدِينَةَ, وَلَهُمْ يَوْمَانِ يَلْعَبُونَ فِيهِمَا. فَقَالَ: "قَدْ أَبْدَلَكُمُ اَللَّهُ بِهِمَا خَيْرًا مِنْهُمَا: يَوْمَ اَلْأَضْحَى, وَيَوْمَ اَلْفِطْرِ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيحٍ 1 .

Narrated `Abdullāh bin Mughaffal:
I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) reciting Sūrat-al-Fatḥ on his she-camel on the day of the Conquest of Mecca.

In a similar report, Abdullah bin Mughaffal said: I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting (Qur'an) while he was riding on his she camel or camel which was moving, carrying him. He was reciting Sūrat Fatḥ or part of Sūrat Fatḥ very softly and in an attractive, moving tone.

Mishkat al-Masabih 388
‘A'isha said that God’s messenger was using the tooth-stick when two men, one older than the other, were with him. A revelation came to him about the excellence of the tooth-stick in which he was told to show proper respect, and give it to the older of the two.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.

‘A'isha said that God’s messenger had a cloth with which he dried his limbs after ablution.
Tirmidhi who transmitted it said, “This is a tradition which is not of value, and Abu Mu'adh the transmitter is considered by traditionists to be weak.”

Anas b. Malik al-Ka‘bi reported God’s messenger as saying, “God has remitted half the prayer to the traveller, and fasting to the traveller, the woman who is suckling an infant and the woman who is pregnant.”

‘Ubaidallah b Khalid reported God’s messenger as saying, “Sudden death is an act of punishment out of anger.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Baihaqi in Shu'ab al-iman and Razin in his book made an addition, saying “An act of punishment out of anger for the infidel and a mercy for the believer.”
وَعَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَوْتُ الْفُجَاءَة أَخْذَةُ الْأَسَفِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَزَادَ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ وَرَزِينٌ فِي كِتَابِهِ: «أَخْذَةُ الأسف للْكَافِرِ وَرَحْمَة لِلْمُؤمنِ»

Mishkat al-Masabih 2881
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone rescinds a sale with a Muslim, God will cancel his slip* on the day of resurrection.”
* God will forgive his fault.
Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it; and it occurs in Sharh as-sunna with the wording in al-Masabih on the authority of Shuraih ash-Shami in mursal form.

'A'isha told that when she was with God's Messenger on a journey she raced him on foot and beat him, but when she grew she raced him and he beat her. He said, “This makes up for that beating."

Sahih Muslim 2400 a
Ibn Umar reported that when 'Abdullah b. Ubayy b. Salul (the hypocrite) died, his son Abdullah b. Abdullah came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon -him) and asked him to give his shirt which should be used for the coffin of his father. He gave that to him. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) stood up to say prayer over him Thereupon I Umar caught hold of the clothe of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said:
Allah's Messenger, are you going to offer prayer, whereas Allah has forbidden to offer prayer for him, whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah has given me a choice saying: Ask forgiveness for them or you may not ask for them; even if you ask for them seventy times, I will make an addition to the seventy. He was a hypocrite and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said prayer over him that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed the verse:" And never pray over any one of them that has died and never should you stand by his grave" (ix. 84).

Sahih Muslim 2774 a
Ibn 'Umar reported that when 'Abdullah b. Ubayy b. Salul died. His son 'Abdullah b. 'Abdullah (b. Ubayy) came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and begged him that he should give him his shirt which he would use as a coffin for his father, he gave him that. He then begged that he should conduct funeral prayer for him. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had hardly got up to observe the prayer for him that 'Umar stood up and caught hold of the garment of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said:
Allah's Messenger, are you going to conduct prayer for this man, whereas Allah has forbidden you to offer prayer for him? Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Allah has given me an option as He has said:" You may beg pardon for them or you may not beg pardon for them, and even if you beg pardon for them, seventy times" (ix. 80), and I am going to make an addition to the seventy. He was a hypocrite and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) offered prayer for him and Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, revealed this verse:" Do not offer prayer for any one of them at all and do not stand upon their graves for (offering prayer over them)" (ix. 84).

Abu Humaid al-Sa’idi once told a company of ten of the companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) ; Abu Qatadah was one of them:
I am one among you who is more informed of the way the Messenger of Allah (saws) prayed. They said: Why, By Allah, you did not follow him more than us, nor did you remain in his company longer than us? He said: Yes. They said: Then describe (how the Prophet prayed). He said: When the Messenger of Allah (saws) stood up to pray, he raised his hands so as to bring them opposite his shoulders, and uttered the takbir (Allah is the most great), until every bone rested in its place properly: then re recited (some verses from the Quran); then he uttered the takbir (Allah is most great), raising his hands so as to bring them opposite his shoulders; then he bowed; placing the palms of his hands on his knees and keeping himself straight, neither raising nor lowering his head; then raised his head saying: “Allah listens to him who praise Him”; then raised his hands so as to bring them exactly opposite to his shoulders; then uttered: “Allah is most great”; then lowered himself to the ground (in prostration), keeping his arms away from his sides; then raised his head, bent his left foot and sat on it, and opened the toes when he prostrated: then he uttered: “Allah is most great”; then raised his head, bent his left foot and sat on it so that every bone returned to its place properly; then he did the same in the second (rak’ah). Usama b. Sharik told that when God’s messenger was asked whether they should make use of medical treatment he replied, “Yes servants of God, make use of medical treatment, for God has not made a disease without appointing a remedy for it, with the exception of one disease; viz., old age.”

He reported God's messenger as saying, “If anyone recites Hā’ Mīm ad-Dukhān on a Thursday night his sins will be forgiven.”
Tirmidhī transmitted it, saying that this is a gharīb da’īf tradition and that Hishām Abūl Miqdām its transmitter is declared to be weak.

Sunan Ibn Majah 2808
It was
narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (saw)
acquired
his sword Dhulfiqar, from the spoils of war on the Day of
badr.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الصَّلْتِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَنَفَّلَ سَيْفَهُ ذَا الْفِقَارِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ .

narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“The bed of the Messenger of Allah
(saw) was made of leather, stuffed with fibers of date-palm trees.”
