Lā ilāha illallāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, Lahu ‘l-mulku wa lahu ‘l-ḥamd, Yuḥyī wa yumīt, wa huwa ḥayyun lā yamūt, Biyadihi ‘l-khayr, wa huwa `alā kulli shay'in Qadīr. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. His is the dominion and His is the praise. He brings life and He causes death, and He is living and does not die. In His Hand is all good, and He is Able to do all things. Reference: At-Tirmidhi 5/291, and Al-Hakim 1/538. Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Ibn Majah 2/21 and Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/152.

A`ūdhu billāhi minash-shayṭānir-rajīm. Seeking refuge with Allah against him (i.e. by saying I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast). Reference: Abu Dawud 1/206, At-Tirmidhi. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 1/77, and Surat Al-Mu'minun, 23:98-9.

Abu Sa’īd al-Khudrī said, “Some of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ went on a journey. They alighted with a certain clan of the Arabs. Someone of them said, “Our chief has been stung by a scorpion or bitten by a snake. Has any of you something which gives relief to our chief?” A man of the people said, “Yes, I swear by Allah. I can recite an incantation, but we asked you for hospitality and you denied it to us. I shall not recite the incantation until you give me some payment.” So, they promised to give some sheep to him. He came to him and recited Sūrah al-Fātiḥah over him and blew (upon him) till he was cured, and he seemed as if he were set free from a bond. So, they gave him the payment that was agreed between them. They said, “Distribute it.” The man who applied the treatment said, “Do not do it until we approach the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” And He ﷺ said, “From where did you learn that it was a treatment? You have done right. Apportion them, and give me a share along with you.” Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 5007

Abu Rafi' told th at he saw God's messenger uttering the call to prayer in the ear of al-Hasan b. ‘Ali when Fatima gave birth to him. Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih tradition.

The Prophet (saw) used to teach us the Qur’an except when he was in a state of sexual impurity. [Reported by Ahmad and Al-Arba’a. This is the version of At-Tirmidhi who graded it Hasan (fair). And Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (sound)].

Qutbah bin Malik (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) used to say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from evil morals, deeds, passions and diseases.” Related by At-Tirmidhi. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih and it is his version.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) cursed the one who bribes and the one who takes bribes to influence the judgement. [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a. at-Tirmidhi graded it Hasan (good), and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic).

The Prophet (SAW) was brought a dish containing Tharid and said, "Eat from its side and not from the middle, for the blessing descends in the middle of it." [Reported by al-Arba'a. This is the wording of an-Nasa'i. Its chain of narrators is Sahih (authentic)].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "There is no divorce except after marriage, and no freeing (of a slave) till one has possession (of one)." [Reported by Abu Ya'la and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic), but it is Ma'lul (containing a hidden defective).

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "O people of the Qur'an! Offer Witr (prayer), because Allah is Witr (One) and loves Witr." [Reported by al-Khamsah and Ibn Khuzaimah graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allāh, Allāhu Rabbī lā ushriku bihi shay'a. Allah, Allah is my Lord. I do not associate anything with Him. Reference: Abu Dawud 2/87. See also Al-Albani, Sahih Ibn Mdjah 2/335.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "A worshipper does not fast a day in the cause of Allah except that, that day (of fasting) distances the Fire from his face by seventy autumns."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Whoever prepares a fighter in Allah's cause, or looks after the family of a fighter, then he has participated in a military expedition."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (Peace be upon him) said regarding a husband who has sexual intercourse with his wife during her menstruation period, "He must pay a Dinar or half a Dinar in way of charity.” [Reported by the five Imams. Al-Hakim and Ibn Al-Qattan graded it Sahih (sound).]

The Prophet (SAW) said, "There are three people whose actions are not recorded, a sleeping person till he awakes, a child till he is a grown up, and an insane person till he is restored to reason or recovers his sense." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a, except at-Tirmidhi. al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) as saying, "The property which a parent or a child has a right to, goes to his 'Asabah (paternal relatives) whoever it may be. [Reported by Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah. Ibn al-Madini and Ibn 'Abdul-Barr graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Al-ḥamdu lillāhil-ladhī `āfānī fī jasadī, wa radda `alayya rūḥī, wa 'adhina lī bidhikrihi. Praise is to Allah Who gave strength to my body and returned my soul to me and permitted me to remember Him. Reference: At-Tirmidhi 5/473. See Al-Albani's Sahih Tirmidhi 3/144.

Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn. There is none worthy of worship but You, glory is to You. Surely, I was among the wrongdoers. Reference: At-Tirmidhi 5/529. Al-Hakim declared it authentic and Ath-Thahabi agreed with him 1/ 505. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/168.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: There have been sent down to me verses the like of which had never been seen before. (They are): "Qul a’oodhu birabbil Falaq (Surat al-Falaq)”, and “Qul a’oodhu birabbin-naas (Surat al-Nās).” Reference: Sahih Muslim 814a.

‘Ubaid b. Rifa'a on his father’s authority reported the Prophet as saying, "The merchants will be raised up on the day of resurrection as evildoers, except those who fear God, are honest and speak the truth.” Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, and Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu'ab al-iman on the authority of al-Bara’. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih tradition.

From Abu Musa who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) eating chicken meat."

He said: The Hadith has more statements that this. And this Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ayyub As-Sakhtiyani also reported this Hadith from Al-Qasim At-Tamimi, and, from Abu Qilabah, from Zahdam Al-Jarmi.

Ibn Az-Zubair (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, "Offering prayer in my mosque (in Madinah) is better than one thousand prayers elsewhere, save for those offered prayer in al-Masjid al-Haram (in Makkah). And prayer offered in al-Masjid al-Haram is better than prayer offered in my mosque by one hundred prayers." Related by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "He who has been appointed a Qadi (judge) has been slaughtered without a knife." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Anyone who has two wives and inclines to one of them will come on the Day of Resurrection with a side (of his body) inclining." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a; its chain of narrators is Sahih (authentic)].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Whoever accepts back what he sold to a Muslim, Allah will forgive his fault." [Reported by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah. Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise." [An-Nasa'i reported it, and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic).

“I memorized (surah) "Qāf, by the glorious Qur'an" from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) on Friday as he recited it on the pulpit on every Jumu’ah (Friday).” Reference: Sahih Muslim 872a

I heard Ibn 'Abbas deliver a Khutbah from your Minbar - meaning the Minbar in Al-Basrah - saying: 'Sadaqatul Fitr is a Sa' of food." (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: This is the most reliable of the three.

and Al-Bukhari said, “It is the most authentic in this chapter”.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "Do not withhold surplus water so that it is prevented from the pasture."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Abu Al-Munhal's name is 'Abdur-Rahman bin Mut'im, he is from Al-Kufah, and he is oen that Habib bin Abi Thabit reports from. Abu Al-Munhal Sayyar bin Salamah is from Al-Basrah, he is the companion of Abu Barzah Al-Aslami.

(the saying of) ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah alone, How perfect Allah is and Allah is great and all praise is for Allah, There is no might nor power except with Allah.” Related by An-Nasa’i. Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "The disbeliever eats with seven intestines and the believer eats with one intestine."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

He said: There are narrations on this topic from Abu Hurairah, Abu Sa'eed, Abu Basrah Al-Ghifari, Abu Musa, Jahjah Al-Ghifari, Maimunah, and 'Abdullah bin 'Amr.

That she brought a side of roasted meat to the Messenger of Allah (saws), so he ate it from it and stood for Salat, and did not perform Wudu'

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib from this route.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I do not think that so-and-so understands anything of our Faith."

Al-Bukhari said: Al- Laith bin Sa'd, who is one of the narrators of this Hadith, said: The two men mentioned by the Prophet (PBUH) in this Hadith were hypocrites (i.e., they revealed Faith and concealed disbelief).

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The suckling that makes marriage unlawful is that which reaches the intestines (i.e. nourishes the child), and is taken before (two years) time of weaning." [Reported by at-Tirmidhi, he and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

(Another chain) From Abu Sa'eed who narrated that: "The Messenger of Allah a said: 'Nuh will be called and it will be said: "Did you deliver (the Message)? "He will say: "Yes" and his people will be called and it will be said: "Did he call you?" They will say: "No warner came to us. No one came to us.' It will be said: "Who will testify for you?" So it is said: "Muhammad and his Ummah (community)." He (SAW) said: You will be brought to testify that he delivered (the Message) and that is His saying: Thus, we have made you a Wasata nation that you will be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) will be a witness over you.' And Al-Wasat is "Just." (Sahih)
Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The right to inheritance from a freed slave is a relationship like the relationship of blood relatives (lineage); it cannot be sold or given away." [al-Hakim reported it through ash-Shafi'i's narration from Muhammad bin al-Hasan on the authority of Abu Yusuf. Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic), while al-Baihaqi graded it defective].

"He [the Prophet (SAW)] used to wear it on the visit of a delegation and on Fridays."

‘Ali reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The niggardly one is the man in whose presence I am mentioned but who does not invoke a blessing on me.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted it from al-Husain b. ‘Ali. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.

Allah’s Mesenger (saw) said, “Perform a perfect Wudu run (your fingers) through the fingers of the hands and the toes, and if not fasting, sniff water up well inside the nose”. [Reported by Al-Arba’a and Ibn Khuzaima graded it Sahih].

The Prophet (SAW) appointed a sixth to a grandmother if no mother is left to inherit before her. [Reported by Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn al-Jarud graded it Sahih (authentic) and Ibn 'Adi graded it strong].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The Witr is a duty, so he who does not offer it, is not one of us." [Reported by Abu Dawud with a Laiyin (weak) chain of narrators and Al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'It is not righteousness to fast when traveling."' (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasai) said: This is a mistake, and what is correct is the one that is before it. We do not know of anyone who followed up Ibn Kathir.

"When the Messenger of Allah (saws) arrived from Tabuk, the people went out to Thaniyyah Al-Wada' to meet him." As-Sa'ib said: "I went out with the people, and I was a boy."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited me from rings of gold, and from wearing Al-Qassi, and from reciting in the bowing and prostration positions, and from wearing what was dyed with 'Usfur."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "Indeed the best of what the gray may be changed with is Henna' and Katam."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Abu Al-Aswad Ad-Dili's (a narrator in this chain) name is Zalim bin 'Amr bin Sufyan.

From Zaid bin Thabit that the Messenger of Allah (saws) permitted selling in Al-'Araya by estimating it.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. The Hadith of Abu Hurairah is Hasan Sahih. And this is acted upon according to some of the people of knowledge. Among them Ash-Shafi'i, Ahmad and Ishaq. They said Al-'Araya is an exception from the general scope of the prohibition of the Prophet (saws) when he prohibited Al-Muhaqalah and Al-Muzabanah. They argued using this Hadith of Zaid bin Thabit and the Hadith of Abu Hurairah. They said that he may buy what is less than five Wasq.

According to some of the people of knowledge, this means that the Prophet (saws) wanted to make less restriction for them on this matter because they complained to him saying: "We dont by anything with dried dates except fruit." So he permitted them to buy less than five Wasq worth so they could eat fresh dates.

'This verse was revealed concerning us (al-Ansar).' He was referring to the verse, “And do not throw yourselves into destruction (2:195). Abu Aiyub said that to answer those who disapproved of the action of those who attacked the Romans till they were amidst their army.’ Related by the three Imams, and At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

The Prophet (SAW) returned his daughter Zainab (RA) to [her husband] Abul-'Aas bin ar-Rabi' (RA) based upon the first marriage, after six years (of separation), and he did not perform a new marriage. [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a except an-Nasa'i. Ahmad and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The most versed in the rules of inheritance among you is Zaid bin Thabit." [Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a except Abu Dawud. at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic). However, it was considered defective due to being Mursal (missing link in the chain after the Tabi'i)].

We were brought before the Prophet (SAW) on the day of Quraizah. Those who had began to grow hair (on their private parts) were killed, while who had not, were set free. I was among those who had not begun to grow hair, so I was set free. [Reported by al-Arba'a. Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was traveling on one of his journeys, and `Umar bin Al-Khattab was traveling along with him at night. `Umar asked him about something, but Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) did not answer him. He asked again, but he did not answer. He asked for the third time, but he did not answer. On that, `Umar said to himself, "May your mother lose you! You have asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) three times, but he did not answer at all!" `Umar said, "So I made my camel go fast till I was ahead of the people, and I was afraid that something might be revealed about me. After a little while I heard a call maker calling me, I said, 'I was afraid that some Qur'anic Verse might be revealed about me.' So I went to Allah's Messenger and greeted him. He said, 'Tonight there has been revealed to me a Sūrah which is dearer to me than that on which the sun shines (i.e., the world).' Then he recited: 'Verily! We have given you (O Muhammad), a manifest victory.' " (Sūrat al-Fatḥ). Reference: Sahih al-Bukhari 5012

"It was regarded as one divorce."

It has been said that al-Bukhari graded it Da'if (weak).

And al-Bukhari has reported similarly in a narration by Mu'awiyah (RA).

"This is a practice of the Jews."

Umm al-Fadl daughter of al-Harith said that she heard God’s Messenger reciting al-Mursalat* at the sunset prayer. * Al-Qur'an; 77. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

"He (SAW) said (the word) Daraja (degree)."

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “When two people go together to relieve themselves they should disappear from each other and do not talk, for Allah detests that”. [Reported by Ahmad; Ibn As-Sakan and Ibn Al-Qattan graded it Sahih (sound) but it is defective].

Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘The people were trying to sight the new moon (of Ramadan.) and when I reported to the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) that I had seen it, he fasted and commanded people to fast.’ Related by Abu Dawud, and Al-Hakim and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

The Witr prayer is not obligatory as the prescribed prayer is [i.e. the five daily prayers], but it is a Sunnah which was established by the practice of Allah's Messenger (SAW). [at-Tirmidhi and an-Nasa'i reported it, who graded it Hasan (good). al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allāhumma innī as'aluka ‘l-jannah wa a`ūdhu bika minan-nār. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise, and I seek Your protection from the Fire. Reference: Abu Dawud. See also Al-Albani, Sahih Ibn Majah 2/328.

"No one sends greetings (or prayers of peace) upon me but Allah returns my soul to me so that I may return his greetings." Reference: Abu Dawud (no. 2041). Al-Albani graded it good in Sahih Abu Dawud 1/383.

"Whoever lives in the desert, he becomes hard-hearted, and whoever follows game becomes preoccupied with it (and neglectful toward other duties), and whoever follows the ruler will put himself through trial."(Sahih) The wording is of Ibn Al-Muthanna.

Abu Al- Qasim said: "Whoever buys a Musarrah, he has the choice (of annulling the deal) for three days. If the wishes ti keep it, he may keep it, and if he wishes to return it, he may return it, along with a Sa of daters, not wheat." (Sahih )

"Umar bin Al-Khattab informed me that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: 'I will expel the Jews and the Christians from the Arabian Peninsula, and I will not leave anyone in it except a Muslim."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'A rider should greet a pedestrian; a pedestrian should greet one who is sitting; and a small group should greet a large group (of people).''

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The narration in Al-Bukhari adds: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The young should greet the elderly.''

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said regarding the sea, "It's water is purifying and its dead (animals) are lawful (to eat)." [Al- Arba’a and Ibn Abu Shaiba reported it (this version is of the latter). Ibn Khuzaima and Tirmidhi graded it Sahih. It was also reported by Malik, Shafi'i and Ahmad.]

Salman (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Your Rabb (Lord of the Universe) is Modest and Generous, and would never turn the hands of a slave without gain when he raises them to Him (in supplication).” Related by the four lmams except An-Nasa’i. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "It is not lawful for a man who believes in Allah and the Last Day to water what another person has sown." [Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported it. Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic), and al-Bazzar graded it Hasan (good)].

The Prophet (SAW) prayed the 'Eid prayer (on a Friday); and granted a permission (to be excused) from the praying of Friday prayer and said, "Whoever wants to pray it, he may pray." [Reported by al-Khamsah excluding at-Tirmidhi. Ibn Khuzaimah graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Astawdi`ullāha dīnak, wa amānatak, wa khawātīma `amalik. I leave your religion in the care of Allah, as well as your safety, and the last of your deeds. Reference: Ahmad 2/7, At-Tirmidhi 5/499. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 2/155.

"The miser is the one in whose presence I am mentioned yet does not pray for Allah's blessings upon me." Reference: At-Tirmidhi 5/551 and others. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/177 and Sahihul-Jarai' As-Saghir 3/25.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When a man loves his brother (for Allah's sake) let him tell him that he loves him".

[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Sahih].

"Whoever prayed a Rak'ah in which he did not recite Umm Al-Qur'an, then he did not pray except if he was behind an Imam."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

A similar narration is transmitted by Al-Bukhari and Muslim on the authority of Abu Hurairah.

Al-Bukhari related a similar hadith on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas (RAA).

al-Bukhari reported something similar from the Hadith of Abu Juhaifah.

at-Tirmidhi transmitted its Tashih (grading of authenticity) from al-Bukhari.

Habib bin Maslamah (RAA) narrated, ‘I witnessed the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) give a quarter (of the war spoils) as an additional booty (to a Sariyah) when they gained booty on their way out to the fight, He also gave a third (of the war spoils) as an additional booty when they gained it on their way back. ‘Related by Abu Dawud, Ibn al-Garud, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) saying, "Whoever separates a mother from her child, May Allah separate him from his beloved ones on the Day of Resurrection." [Reported by Ahmad. at-Tirmidhi and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic). However, it's chain of narrators has some weakness. But, it has a supporting narration].

Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari reported God’s Messenger as saying, “A man’s prayer does not avail him unless he keeps his back steady when bowing and prostrating himself.” Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih tradition.

‘Uthman Ibn ‘Affan (RAA) narrated, ‘Whenever the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) finished the burial of the dead, he would stand by the grave and say, “Seek forgiveness for your brother and pray for him to be steadfast, because he is now being questioned.” Related by Abu Dawud. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

‘Abdullah Ibn 'Amro ibn al-'As (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The Diyah for accidental and quasi-deliberate homicide -such as that inflicted with a whip or a stick- is a hundred camels, forty of which are pregnant she-camels.” Related by Abu-Dawud, An-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah. Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The lawful thing which Allah hates most is divorce." [Reported by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic), while Abu Hatim held the stronger view is that it is Mursal (missing link after the Tabi'i)].
