Sunan Abi Dawud 2749
Narrated Habib ibn Maslamah:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to give a quarter of the booty as reward after the fifty had been kept off, and a third after the fifth had been kept off when he returned.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ الْجُشَمِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جَارِيَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُنَفِّلُ الرُّبُعَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ وَالثُّلُثَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ إِذَا قَفَلَ .

Al-Hasan reported that Umar asked:
Which of your knows what share the Messenger of Allah (saws) had given to the grandfather from the estate? Ma'qil ibn Yasar said: The Messenger of Allah (saws) gave him a sixth. He asked: Along with whom? He replied: I do not know. He said: You do not know; what is the use then?

Narrated Rafi' ibn Khadij:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: The official who collects sadaqah (zakat) in a just manner is like him who fights in Allah's path till he returns home.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2951
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
Zayd ibn Aslam said: Abdullah ibn Umar entered upon Mu'awiyah. He asked: (Tell me) your need, AbuAbdurRahman. He replied: Give (the spoils) to those who were set free, for I saw the first thing the Messenger of Allah (saws) did when anything came to him was to give something to those who had been set free.
حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي الزَّرْقَاءِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، دَخَلَ عَلَى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقَالَ حَاجَتُكَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقَالَ عَطَاءُ الْمُحَرَّرِينَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوَّلَ مَا جَاءَهُ شَىْءٌ بَدَأَ بِالْمُحَرَّرِينَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3467
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar:
A man paid in advance for a palm-tree. It did not bear fruit that year. They brought their case for decision to the Prophet (saws). He said: for which do you make his property lawful? He then said: Do not pay in advance for a palm-tree till they (the fruits) were clearly in good condition.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، نَجْرَانِيٍّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَسْلَفَ رَجُلاً فِي نَخْلٍ فَلَمْ تُخْرِجْ تِلْكَ السَّنَةَ شَيْئًا فَاخْتَصَمَا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " بِمَ تَسْتَحِلُّ مَالَهُ ارْدُدْ عَلَيْهِ مَالَهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " لاَ تُسْلِفُوا فِي النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلاَحُهُ " .

Umar ibn Khaldah said:
We came to AbuHurayrah who had become insolvent. He said: I shall decide between you on the basis of the decision of the Messenger of Allah (saws): If anyone becomes insolvent or dies and the man (the seller) finds his very property with him, he is more entitled to it (than others).

Narrated Abu al-Darda:
The Prophet (saws) said: Allah has sent down both the disease and the cure, and He has appointed a cure for every disease, so treat yourselves medically, but use nothing unlawful.

" إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ الدَّاءَ وَالدَّوَاءَ وَجَعَلَ لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءً فَتَدَاوَوْا وَلاَ تَدَاوَوْا بِحَرَامٍ " .

Narrated Salamah ibn al-Muhabbaq:
On the expedition of Tabuk the Messenger of Allah (saws) came to a household and, seeing a bucket hanging, asked for water. They said: Messenger of Allah, the animal died a natural death. He replied; Its tanning is its purification.
حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جَوْنِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبَّقِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ أَتَى عَلَى بَيْتٍ فَإِذَا قِرْبَةٌ مُعَلَّقَةٌ فَسَأَلَ الْمَاءَ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ . فَقَالَ
" دِبَاغُهَا طُهُورُهَا " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4411
'Abd al-Rahman b. Muhariz said:
We asked Fadalah b. 'Ubaid about the hanging the (amputated) hand on the neck of a thief whether it was a sunnan. He said: A thief was brought to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and his hand was cut off. Thereafter he commanded for it, and it was hung on his neck.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْنَا فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ تَعْلِيقِ الْيَدِ، فِي الْعُنُقِ لِلسَّارِقِ أَمِنَ السُّنَّةِ هُوَ قَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِسَارِقٍ فَقُطِعَتْ يَدُهُ ثُمَّ أُمِرَ بِهَا فَعُلِّقَتْ فِي عُنُقِهِ .

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: Allah , the Exalted, hates the eloquent one among men who moves his tongue round (among his teeth), as cattle do.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْبَاهِلِيُّ، - وَكَانَ يَنْزِلُ الْعَوَقَةَ - حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، - قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو - قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُبْغِضُ الْبَلِيغَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّلُ بِلِسَانِهِ تَخَلُّلَ الْبَاقِرَةِ بِلِسَانِهَا " .

Ai’shah said:
The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) would send the sacrificial animals as offerings (to Makkah) from Madinah. I would twist the garlands of the sacrificial animals ; thereafter he would not abstain from anything from which a pilgrim putting on Ihram abstains.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ اللَّيْثَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، وَعَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُهْدِي مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَأَفْتِلُ قَلاَئِدَ هَدْيِهِ ثُمَّ لاَ يَجْتَنِبُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا يَجْتَنِبُ الْمُحْرِمُ .

‘A’ishah said :
When a man complained of pain the Prophet (may peace be upon him) said to him pointing to his saliva and mixing it with dust :(This is) the dust of our earth, mixed with saliva of us, so that our sick is remedied with the permission of our lord.
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ - عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ لِلإِنْسَانِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى يَقُولُ بِرِيقِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ بِهِ فِي التُّرَابِ
" تُرْبَةُ أَرْضِنَا بِرِيقَةِ بَعْضِنَا يُشْفَى سَقِيمُنَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّنَا " .

Mishkat al-Masabih 670
Abu Umama, or one of the companions of God’s Messenger, said that Bilal began the iqama, and when he said, “The time for prayer has come,” God’s Messenger said, “May God establish it and cause it to continue!” During the whole of the iqama he made such responses as are found in ‘Umar’s tradition about the adhan.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَوْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ بِلَالًا أَخَذَ فِي الْإِقَامَةِ فَلَمَّا أَنْ قَالَ قَدْ قَامَتِ الصَّلَاةُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَقَامَهَا اللَّهُ وَأَدَامَهَا» وَقَالَ فِي سَائِر الْإِقَامَة: كنحو حَدِيث عمر رَضِي الله عَنهُ فِي الْأَذَان. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Ya'la b. Umayya said:
I remarked to ‘Umar b. al-Khattab that God had said, “You may shorten the prayer,” only “if you fear those who are infidels may afflict you” (Al-Qur’an; 4:101), whereas the people were now safe. He replied that he had wondered about the same matter, so he asked God's Messenger and received the reply, “It is an act of charity which God has done to you, so accept His charity.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَن يعلى بن أُميَّة قَالَ: قلت لعمر بن الْخطاب: إِنَّمَا قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى (أَنْ تَقْصُرُوا مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ إِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَكُمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا)
فَقَدْ أَمِنَ النَّاسُ. قَالَ عُمَرُ: عَجِبْتُ مِمَّا عَجِبْتَ مِنْهُ فَسَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. فَقَالَ: «صَدَقَةٌ تَصَدَّقَ اللَّهُ بِهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَاقْبَلُوا صدقته» رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, "When the cloth is set down a man must not get up till it is removed, nor must he withdraw his hand even if he has had enough till the people have finished, but if he does he should make his excuse, for that embarrasses his companion and he does not stretch out his hand although he may perhaps require the food."
Ibn Majah and Baihaqi, in Shu'ab al-iman, transmitted it.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا وُضِعَتِ الْمَائِدَةُ فَلَا يَقُومُ رَجُلٌ حَتَّى تُرْفَعَ الْمَائِدَةُ وَلَا يَرْفَعْ يَدَهُ وَإِنْ شَبِعَ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ الْقَوْمُ وَلْيُعْذِرْ فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يُخْجِلُ جَلِيسَهُ فَيَقْبِضُ يَدَهُ وَعَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ فِي الطَّعَامِ حَاجَةٌ» رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ

Jabir b. ‘Abdallah said he was told by ‘Umar b. al-Khattab that he had heard God’s Messenger say, “I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from Arabia so as to leave only Muslims in it.”
Muslim transmitted it. A version has, “If I live, God willing, I will certainly expel the Jews and the Christians from Arabia.”
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لأخرِجنَّ اليهودَ والنصَارى من جزيرةِ الْعَرَب حَتَّى لَا أَدَعَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مُسْلِمًا» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «لَئِنْ عِشْتُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأُخْرِجَنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى مِنْ جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ»

Anas told that when God's messenger was asked what al-Kauthar[*] was he replied, "That is a river God has given me (meaning in paradise), whiter than milk and sweeter than honey, containing birds whose necks are like the necks of sacrificial camels." `Umar remarked, "These have a pleasant life," and God's messenger replied, "Those who eat them have a pleasanter life."

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ماالكوثر؟ قَالَ: «ذَاكَ نَهْرٌ أَعْطَانِيهِ اللَّهُ يَعْنِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ أَشَدُّ بَيَاضًا مِنَ اللَّبَنِ وَأَحْلَى مِنَ الْعَسَلِ فِيهِ طَيْرٌ أَعْنَاقُهَا كَأَعْنَاقِ الْجُزُرِ» قَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَنَاعِمَةٌ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «أَكَلَتُهَا أَنْعَمُ مِنْهَا» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

'Abdullah ibn 'Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah
bless him and grant him peace, said, "A woman punished her cat by imprisoning
it until it died of hunger and because of it, she entered the Fire. It
was said - and Allah knows best:
'You did not feed it nor give it water
when you imprisoned it nor did you release it and let it eat from the plants
of the earth."

As-Sa'b ibn Hakim reported that his grandfather said, "I came to

father had not become Muslim. He began to say, 'My son, my son.'"

Mahmud ibn Labid said, "When Sa'd's eye was gravely wounded in
the Battle of the Ditch, they moved him to the house of a woman called
Rufayda who used to treat the wounded. When the Prophet, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, passed by him, he would inquire, 'How are you
this evening?' and in the morning, 'How are you this morning?' and he would
tell him."

Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘Some of the companions of the Prophet were shown in their dreams that the night of Qadr was in the last seven nights of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said to them, “It seems that all of your dreams agree that (the Night of Qadr) is in the last seven nights, and whoever wants to seek that night should do so in the last seven nights (of Ramadan)." Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: { أَنَّ رِجَالاً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ اَلنَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أُرُوا لَيْلَةَ اَلْقَدْرِ فِي اَلْمَنَامِ, فِي اَلسَّبْعِ اَلْأَوَاخِرِ, فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -"أَرَى 1 رُؤْيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ فِي اَلسَّبْعِ اَلْأَوَاخِرِ, فَمَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيَهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا فِي اَلسَّبْعِ اَلْأَوَاخِرِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 2 .

Narrated [Ibn 'Umar (RA)]:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said to the two who were invoking curses regarding one another, "Your reckoning is in Allah's Hands for one of you is lying. You cannot remarry her." He (the man) said, "O Allah's Messenger, what about my property (dowry)?" He replied, "If you have spoken the truth, it is the price of your having had the right of intercourse with her, and if you have lied against her, it is even more remote for you (to get it back) from her."

وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ أَيْضًا { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ لِلْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ: "حِسَابُكُمَا عَلَى اَللَّهِ تَعَالَى, أَحَدُكُمَا كَاذِبٌ, لَا سَبِيلَ لَكَ عَلَيْهَا" قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! مَالِي? قَالَ: "إِنْ كُنْتَ صَدَقْتَ عَلَيْهَا, فَهُوَ بِمَا اِسْتَحْلَلْتَ مِنْ فَرْجِهَا, وَإِنْ كُنْتَ كَذَبْتَ عَلَيْهَا, فَذَاكَ أَبْعَدُ لَكَ مِنْهَا" } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 .

Narrated Abu Umamah bin Sahl (RA):
'Umar (RA) wrote to Abu Ubaidah (RA) that Allah's Messenger (SAW) had said: "Allah and His Messenger are the Patrons of him who has none and a maternal uncle is the heir of him who has no inheritor."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a except Abu Dawud. at-Tirmidhi graded it Hasan (good); Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Hadith 3, 40 Hadith an-Nawawi
On the authority of Abdullah, the son of Umar ibn al-Khattab (ra), who said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say, "Islam has been built on five [pillars]: testifying that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, establishing the salah (prayer), paying the zakat (obligatory charity), making the hajj (pilgrimage) to the House, and fasting in Ramadhan."

Mishkat al-Masabih 127
‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “When one of you dies, his abode among the inhabitants of paradise will be shown him morning and evening if he is to be one of them; but if he is to be one of the inhabitants of hell, his abode among them will be shown him. He will be told that this is his abode to which God will finally raise him on the day of resurrection.”

Jabir told that when ‘Umar came to the Prophet saying, “We hear from Jews traditions which charm us, so do you think we should write down some of them ?” he replied, “Are you in a state of confusion as the Jews and the Christians were? I have brought them to you white and pure, and if Moses were alive he would feel it absolutely necessary to follow me.”
Ahmad transmitted it, and also Baihaqi in Shu’ab al-iman.
وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أَتَاهُ عُمَرُ فَقَالَ إِنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَحَادِيثَ مِنْ يَهُودَ تُعْجِبُنَا أَفْتَرَى أَنْ نَكْتُبَ بَعْضَهَا؟ فَقَالَ: «أَمُتَهَوِّكُونَ أَنْتُمْ كَمَا تَهَوَّكَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى؟ لَقَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِهَا بَيْضَاءَ نَقِيَّةً وَلَوْ كَانَ مُوسَى حَيًّا مَا وَسِعَهُ إِلَّا اتِّبَاعِي» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالْبَيْهَقِيّ فِي كتاب شعب الايمان

‘Abdallah b. ‘Umar told that the Prophet used to say, “Everything has a polish, and the polish for hearts is rememberance of God. Nothing is more calculated to resuce from God’s punishment than remembrance of God.” He was asked whether this did not apply also to jihad in God’s path, and said, “Not even if one should ply his sword till it is broken.”
Baihaqi transmitted it in [Kitab] ad-Da'awat al-kabir.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ صِقَالَةٌ وَصِقَالَةُ الْقُلُوبِ ذِكْرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَنْجَى مِنْ عَذَابِ اللَّهِ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ» قَالُوا: وَلَا الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «وَلَا أَنْ يَضْرِبَ بِسَيْفِهِ حَتَّى يَنْقَطِعَ» . رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي الدَّعَوَاتِ الْكَبِيرِ

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said during the battle of Khaybar: He who ate of this plant, i. e. garlic, should not come to the mosques. In the narration of Zubair, there is only a mention of" battle" and not of Khaybar.

(The bedouin call it 'Atama because) they make delay in milling their she-camels.

The angels invoke blessings on everyone among you so long as he is in a place of worship with these words: O Allah! pardon him, O Allah, have mercy upon him, (and they continue to do so) as long as, he ablution (of the worshipper) is not broken, and one among you is in prayer and so long as he is detained for the prayer.

Ibn 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to recite in the two (supererogatory) rak'ahs of the dawn prayer:
" Say: We believed in Allah and what was revealed to us" and that which is found in Surah Al-i-'lmran:" Come to that word (creed) which is common between you and us" (iii. 64).

I asked Ibn 'Abbas about the Witr prayer. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) as saying: It is a rak'ah at the end of the night prayer.

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Abu Bakr and 'Umar are the leaders of the mature people of Paradise, and the first and the last, except for the Prophets and Messengers, but do not tell them about that, O 'Ali, as long as they are still alive.'"

'Abdullah bin 'Amr said:
"The Messenger of Allah saw some people performing ablution, and their heels were dry. He said: 'Woe to the heels because of Hell-fire, perform ablution properly!'"

It was narrated from 'Aishah that:
'Amrah bint Jawn sought refuge.with Allah from the Messenger of Allah (SAW) when she was brought to him (as a bride) He said: "You have sought refuge with Him in Whom refuge is sought." So he divorced her and told Usamah or Anas to give her, a gift of three garments of white flax.

" لَقَدْ عُذْتِ بِمُعَاذٍ " . فَطَلَّقَهَا وَأَمَرَ أُسَامَةَ أَوْ أَنَسًا فَمَتَّعَهَا بِثَلاَثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ رَازِقِيَّةٍ .

It was narrated from Aishah that:
the Messenger of Allah (SAW) swore to keep away from his wives, because Zainab had sent back her gift and 'Aishah said: "She has disgraced you." He became angry and swore to keep away from them.

It was narrated from 'Amr bin Shu'aib, from his father, that his grandfather said that the Prophet (SAW) said:
"Whoever swears an oath then sees that something else is better than it, let him not do it, and his leaving it is the expiation for it. "

It was narrated that Zuhri heard Malik bin Aws bin Hadathan say:
"I heard 'Umar say: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW), said: 'Gold for silver is usury, unless it is exchanged on the spot."' (Sahih) Abu Bakr bin Abu-Shaibah said: "I heard sufyan saying: 'Gold for silver." memorize (this).

Sunan Ibn Majah 2345
It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that :
a man had six slaves, and he did not have any other wealth apart from them, and he set them free when he died. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) divided them into groups, set two free and left four as slaves.
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، كَانَ لَهُ سِتَّةُ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ مَالٌ غَيْرُهُمْ فَأَعْتَقَهُمْ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ فَجَزَّأَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2642
It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Musayyab that 'Umar used to say:
“The blood money is for the near male relatives from the father's side and the wife does not inherit anything from the blood money of her husband,” until Ad-Dahhak bin Sufyan wrote to him, and told him that the Prophet (SAW) ruled that the wife of Ashyam bin Dibabi should inherit from the blood money of her husband.

It was narrated from 'Imran bin Husain that a :
man bit another man on his forearm; he pulled away his arm away and the man’s tooth fell out. The matter was referred to Prophet (SAW) who invalidated it and said: 'Would one of you bite (another) like a stallion?'”

" يَقْضَمُ أَحَدُكُمْ كَمَا يَقْضَمُ الْفَحْلُ " .

Ignorance period, stands according to the division of the Ignorance
period, and whatever division of inheritance was made during Islam,
it
stands according to the division of Islam.”

Umar heard that Samurah had
sold
some wine, and he said: “May Allah ruin Samurah! Does he not know

animal fat was forbidden to them, so they melted it down and sold
it.’”

" صَلِّ الصَّلاَةَ لِوَقْتِهَا. فَإِنْ أَدْرَكْتَ الإِمَامَ يُصَلِّي بِهِمْ فَصَلِّ مَعَهُمْ، وَقَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلاَتَكَ. وَإِلاَّ فَهِيَ نَافِلَةٌ لَكَ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4162
It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:
“I had built a house to shelter
me
from the rain and the sun, during the time of Allah’s Messenger
(saw), and no creature of Allah helped me in building it.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْعَاصِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بَنَيْتُ بَيْتًا يُكِنُّنِي مِنَ الْمَطَرِ وَيُكِنُّنِي مِنَ الشَّمْسِ مَا أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ خَلْقُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4164
‘Umar
said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say: ‘If you were
to
rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given
provision like the birds: They go out hungry in the morning and come
back with full bellies in the evening.”
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ هُبَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمٍ الْجَيْشَانِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ
" لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ تَوَكَّلْتُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرَزَقَكُمْ كَمَا يَرْزُقُ الطَّيْرَ تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4335
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
“In Paradise there is a tree under whose shade a rider could travel
for one hundred years and never leave it.”
"Recite, if you wish: 'And in shade long-extended (56:30).'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ شَجَرَةً يَسِيرُ الرَّاكِبُ فِي ظِلِّهَا مِائَةَ سَنَةٍ لاَ يَقْطَعُهَا " . وَاقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ {وَظِلٍّ مَمْدُودٍ * وَمَاءٍ مَسْكُوبٍ ) .

Ammar bin Abi ‘Ammar told us that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a ring of gold on a man's hand and he said: “Throw it away,” so he threw it away and acquired a ring of iron. He said: `This is even worse.` Then he acquired a ring of silver, and he did not say anything,
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَمَّارُ بْنُ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى فِي يَدِ رَجُلٍ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَقَالَ أَلْقِ ذَا فَأَلْقَاهُ فَتَخَتَّمَ بِخَاتَمٍ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ فَقَالَ ذَا شَرٌّ مِنْهُ فَتَخَتَّمَ بِخَاتَمٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ.

It was narrated from Jabir that Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه told him that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say:
` The people of Makkah will leave and no one will come to it-or no one will come to it except a few-then it will be filled and built up, then they will leave it and never return to it.`
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سَيَخْرُجُ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ ثُمَّ لَا يَعْبُرُ بِهَا أَوْ لَا يَعْرِفُهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ثُمَّ تَمْتَلِئُ وَتُبْنَى ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهَا فَلَا يَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا.

Talhah, az-Zubair and Sa'd: We adjure you by Allah, by whom heaven and earth are sustained,
did you know that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Our (Prophets’) property is not to be inherited
and whatever we leave behind is charity.` They said: By Allah, yes,
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَطَلْحَةَ وَالزُّبَيْرِ وَسَعْدٍ نَشَدْتُكُمْ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي تَقُومُ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ بِهِ أَعَلِمْتُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّا لَا نُورَثُ مَا تَرَكْنَا صَدَقَةٌ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that 'Umar رضي الله عنه said:
I was with the Prophet (ﷺ) on a campaign, and I swore (an oath), No, by my father! A man called out from behind me: “Do not swear by your fathers.” And I saw that it was the Prophet (ﷺ).

It was narrated from Umm ‘Amr the daughter of `Abdullah that she heard `Abdullah bin azZubair narrate that:
He heard `Umar bin al-Khattab delivering a khutbah, He [ʼUmar] said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter.”

It was narrated that `Amr bin Maimoon said:
l heard `Umar bin al Khattab say: The people of Jahiliyyah used not to move on from Jam` until they saw the sun shining on (the mountain of) Thabeer, and they would say: Shine Thabeer, then we will move on swiftly. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) moved on before the sun rose.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ كَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ لَا يُفِيضُونَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ حَتَّى يَرَوْا الشَّمْسَ عَلَى ثَبِيرٍ وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ أَشْرِقْ ثَبِيرُ كَيْمَا نُغِيرُ فَأَفَاضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ.

l was sitting beneath the minbar of `Umar (رضي الله عنه) when he was addressing the people, and he said in his khutbah:I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “What I fear the most for this ummah is every knowledgeable hypocrite with a smooth tongue.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنْبَأَنَا دَيْلَمُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ الْعَبْدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَيْمُونٌ الْكُرْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ، قَالَ إِنِّي لَجَالِسٌ تَحْتَ مِنْبَرِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَخْوَفَ مَا أَخَافُ عَلَى هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ كُلُّ مُنَافِقٍ عَلِيمِ اللِّسَانِ.

It was narrated from Abu Moosa that `Umar said:
It was the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), i.e., tamattu` (in Hajj), but I am afraid that they will have intimate relations with them (their wives) beneath the Arak trees, then they will bring them for Hajj.

It was narrated that Simak bin Harb said:
I heard an-Nu`man - i.e., bin Basheer - say: `Umar (رضي الله عنه) mentioned what the people had acquired of worldly gains and said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) remaining curled up [with hunger pangs] all day, unable to find even the worst type of dates with which to fill his stomach.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النُّعْمَانَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بَشِيرٍ، يَخْطُبُ قَالَ ذَكَرَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَا أَصَابَ النَّاسُ مِنْ الدُّنْيَا فَقَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَظَلُّ الْيَوْمَ يَلْتَوِي مَا يَجِدُ دَقَلًا يَمْلَأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ.

It was narrated from Ibn `Umar (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“If a person frees his share of a slave, and has enough Money to pay the full price of the slave, a fair price should be worked out for the slave, and his partners should be given their shares, then he may free the slave, otherwise he has freed only what he has freed.”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ شِرْكًا لَهُ فِي عَبْدٍ فَكَانَ لَهُ مَا يَبْلُغُ ثَمَنَ الْعَبْدِ فَإِنَّهُ يُقَوَّمُ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ فَيُعْطَى شُرَكَاؤُهُ حَقَّهُمْ وَعَتَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْعَبْدَ وَإِلَّا فَقَدْ أَعْتَقَ مَا أَعْتَقَ.

Musnad Ahmad 1252
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prayed Duha when the sun was as high in the east as it is in the west at the time of ‘Asr prayer.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الضُّحَى حِينَ كَانَتْ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ الْمَشْرِقِ مِنْ مَكَانِهَا مِنْ الْمَغْرِبِ صَلَاةَ الْعَصْرِ.

Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar- Rahman ibn Awf from Jabir ibn Abdullah al-Ansari that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If someone is given a life pension, for him and his posterity, it belongs to the person to whom it has been given. It never reverts to the one who gave it because he gave a gift and the rules of inheritance apply to it."
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ أُعْمِرَ عُمْرَى لَهُ وَلِعَقِبِهِ فَإِنَّهَا لِلَّذِي يُعْطَاهَا لاَ تَرْجِعُ إِلَى الَّذِي أَعْطَاهَا أَبَدًا " . لأَنَّهُ أَعْطَى عَطَاءً وَقَعَتْ فِيهِ الْمَوَارِيثُ .

Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba ibn Masud that Abdullah ibn Abbas said, "I heard Umar ibn al- Khattab say, 'Stoning is in the Book of Allah for those who commit adultery, men or women when they are muhsan and when there is clear proof of pregnancy or a confession.' "
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، يَقُولُ الرَّجْمُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ زَنَى مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ إِذَا أُحْصِنَ إِذَا قَامَتِ الْبَيِّنَةُ أَوْ كَانَ الْحَبَلُ أَوْ الاِعْتِرَافُ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 29
Hassan bin Bilal said:
"1 saw Ammar bin Yasir performing Wudu, so he went through his beard (with his hand). It was said to him" - or he said - "1 said: 'You go through your beard?' He said: 'And what is there to prevent me? Indeed I saw Allah's Messenger going through his beard.'"
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُخَارِقِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ بِلاَلٍ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ عَمَّارَ بْنَ يَاسِرٍ تَوَضَّأَ فَخَلَّلَ لِحْيَتَهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَوْ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتُخَلِّلُ لِحْيَتَكَ قَالَ وَمَا يَمْنَعُنِي وَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُخَلِّلُ لِحْيَتَهُ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 4718
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
On the Day of Resurrection the people will fall on their knees and every nation will follow their prophet and they will say, "O so-and-so! Intercede (for us with Allah), "till (the right) intercession is given to the Prophet (Muhammad) and that will be the day when Allah will raise him into a station of praise and glory (i.e. Al-Maqam -al-Mahmud).
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ آدَمَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، رضى الله عنهما يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ يَصِيرُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ جُثًا، كُلُّ أُمَّةٍ تَتْبَعُ نَبِيَّهَا، يَقُولُونَ يَا فُلاَنُ اشْفَعْ، حَتَّى تَنْتَهِيَ الشَّفَاعَةُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَلِكَ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُ اللَّهُ الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُودَ.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
I intended to ask `Umar so I said, "Who were those two ladies who tried to back each other against the Prophet?" I hardly finished my speech when he said, They were `Aisha and Hafsa."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عُبَيْدَ بْنَ حُنَيْنٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَ عُمَرَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَنِ الْمَرْأَتَانِ اللَّتَانِ تَظَاهَرَتَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَمَا أَتْمَمْتُ كَلاَمِي حَتَّى قَالَ عَائِشَةُ وَحَفْصَةُ.

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:
The Prophet said, "I was in a seclusion in the cave of Hira........."(similar to the narration related by `Ali bin Al-Mubarak, 444 above).
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، وَغَيْرُهُ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنهما عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" جَاوَرْتُ بِحِرَاءٍ ". مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ.

Narrated Ibn `Umar:
I heard the Prophet saying, (or the Prophet said), "Allah has cursed the lady who practices tattooing and that who gets it done for herself, and also the lady who lengthens hair artificially and that who gets her hair lengthened artificially." The Prophet has cursed such ladies.
حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَخْرُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" الْوَاشِمَةُ وَالْمُوتَشِمَةُ، وَالْوَاصِلَةُ وَالْمُسْتَوْصِلَةُ ". يَعْنِي لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Narrated `Imran bin Husain:
A man said, "O Allah's Apostle! Can the people of Paradise be known (differentiated) from the people of the Fire; The Prophet replied, "Yes." The man said, "Why do people (try to) do (good) deeds?" The Prophet said, "Everyone will do the deeds for which he has been created to do or he will do those deeds which will be made easy for him to do." (i.e. everybody will find easy to do such deeds as will lead him to his destined place for which he has been created).
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ الرِّشْكُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُطَرِّفَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُعْرَفُ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ قَالَ " نَعَمْ ". قَالَ فَلِمَ يَعْمَلُ الْعَامِلُونَ قَالَ "كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ لِمَا خُلِقَ لَهُ ـ أَوْ لِمَا يُسِّرَ لَهُ" .

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should neither oppress him nor hand him over to an oppressor. And whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرِ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ سَالِمًا، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ، لاَ يَظْلِمُهُ، وَلاَ يُسْلِمُهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ أَخِيهِ، كَانَ اللَّهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ ".

Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Some people were shown the Night of Qadr as being in the last seven days (of the month of Ramadan). The Prophet said, "Seek it in the last seven days (of Ramadan).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ أُنَاسًا، أُرُوا لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ، وَأَنَّ أُنَاسًا أُرُوا أَنَّهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي السَّبْعِ الأَوَاخِرِ ".

Riyad as-Salihin 390
'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "I have been commanded (by Allah) to fight people until they testify that there is no true god except Allah, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and perform Salat and pay Zakat. If they do so, they will have protection of their blood and property from me except when justified by Islam, and then account is left to Allah".

وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
"أمرت أن أقاتل الناس حتى يشهدوا أن لا إله إلا الله ، وأن محمداً رسول الله ، ويقيموا الصلاة، ويؤتوا الزكاة ، فإذا فعلوا ذلك عصموا مني دماءهم وأموالهم إلا بحق الإسلام، وحسابهم على الله تعالى" ((متفق عليه)) .

Riyad as-Salihin 472
An-Nu'man bin Bashir (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) spoke at length regarding the worldly prosperity that people had achieved and said: "I saw that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would pass his days in hunger and could not get even degraded dates to fill his stomach".

وعن النعمان بن بشير، رضي الله عنهما، قال: ذكر عمر ابن الخطاب، رضي الله عنه، ما أصاب الناس من الدنيا، فقال: لقد رأيت رسول الله، صلى الله عليه وسلم، يظل اليوم يتلوى ما يجد من الدقل ما يملأ به بطنه. ((رواه مسلم)).
الدقل بفتح الدال المهملة والقاف: ردئ التمر.
