Sahih Muslim 179 b
A'mash has narrated this hadith on the same authority and said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was standing amongst us and he told us four things. He then narrated the hadith like the one reported by Abu Mua'wiya, but did not mention the words" His creation" and said: His veil is the light.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِأَرْبَعِ كَلِمَاتٍ . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ
" مِنْ خَلْقِهِ " . وَقَالَ حِجَابُهُ النُّورُ .

Sahih Muslim 336 c
This hadith is narrated by Sa'id b. Abu Hind with the same chain of transmitters and said:
His (the Holy Prophet's) daughter Fatimah provided him privacy with the help of his cloth, and when he had taken a bath he took it up and wrapped it around him and then stood and offered eight rak'ahs of the forenoon prayer.
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ فَسَتَرَتْهُ ابْنَتُهُ فَاطِمَةُ بِثَوْبِهِ فَلَمَّا اغْتَسَلَ أَخَذَهُ فَالْتَحَفَ بِهِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ثَمَانَ سَجَدَاتٍ وَذَلِكَ ضُحًى .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3529
Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
The Prophet (saws) Said: The children of a man come from what he earns, rather they are his pleasantest earning; so enjoy from their property.
Abu Dawud said: Hammad b. Abi Sulaiman added in his version: "When you need." But this (addition) is munkar (not authoritative).
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، - الْمَعْنَى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ " وَلَدُ الرَّجُلِ مِنْ كَسْبِهِ مِنْ أَطْيَبِ كَسْبِهِ فَكُلُوا مِنْ أَمْوَالِهِمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ حَمَّادُ بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ زَادَ فِيهِ " إِذَا احْتَجْتُمْ " . وَهُوَ مُنْكَرٌ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1759
Ai’shah said:
The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) sent sacrificial camels as offering (to the Ka’bah) and I twisted with my own hands their garlands of coloured wool that we had with us. Next morning he came free from restrictions, having intercourse (with his wife) as a man not wearing Ihram does with his wife.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْهُمَا، جَمِيعًا وَلَمْ يَحْفَظْ حَدِيثَ هَذَا مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَذَا وَلاَ حَدِيثَ هَذَا مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَذَا - قَالاَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالْهَدْىِ فَأَنَا فَتَلْتُ قَلاَئِدَهَا بِيَدِي مِنْ عِهْنٍ كَانَ عِنْدَنَا ثُمَّ أَصْبَحَ فِينَا حَلاَلاً يَأْتِي مَا يَأْتِي الرَّجُلُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ .

Mishkat al-Masabih 3697
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “He who has been ruler over ten people will be brought on the day of resurrection shackled till justice loosens his chains or tyranny brings him to destruction.”*
Darimi transmitted it.
*The reference is to the justice or tyranny he has displayed in the administration of his office.

Mishkat al-Masabih 993
Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Yawning during prayer comes from the devil, so when one of you yawns he must restrain it as much as possible.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it. In another version by him and by Ibn Majah it says, “He should put his hand over his mouth.”
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «التَّثَاؤُبُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ فَإِذَا تَثَاءَبَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَكْظِمْ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَفِي أُخْرَى لَهُ وَلِابْنِ مَاجَهْ: «فَلْيَضَعْ يَدَهُ على فِيهِ»

Abu Huraira reported God's Messenger as saying, “If anyone bathes, then comes to the Friday prayer and prays what is fixed for him, then keeps silent till [the imam] finishes his sermon, then prays along with him, his sins between that time and the next Friday will be forgiven him, and three days more.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ. عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنِ اغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْجُمُعَةَ فَصَلَّى مَا قُدِّرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ أَنْصَتَ حَتَّى يَفْرُغَ مِنْ خُطْبَتِهِ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجُمُعَةِ الْأُخْرَى وَفَضْلُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّام» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

‘Amr b. Shu'aib on his father’s authority said his grandfather told that the Prophet sent someone to announce in the ravines of Mecca,
“The sadaqa relating to the breaking of the fast is incumbent on every Muslim, male or female, freeman or slave, young or old, consisting of two mudds of wheat or such like, or a sa' of grain."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ مُنَادِيًا فِي فِجَاجِ مَكَّةَ: «أَلَا إِنَّ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ وَاجِبَةٌ عَلَى كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى حُرٍّ أَوْ عَبْدٍ صَغِيرٍ أَوْ كَبِيرٍ مُدَّانِ مِنْ قَمْحٍ أَوْ سِوَاهُ أَوْ صَاع من طَعَام» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

‘Ubada b. as-Samit told that the Prophet used to say, “Hand over threads and needles and avoid dishonesty about booty, for it will be a reproach to those who are guilty of it on the day of resurrection.”
Darimi transmitted it, and Nasa’i transmitted on the authority of ‘Amr b. Shu'aib who gave it on his father’s authority as coming from his grandfather.
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «أَدُّوا الْخِيَاطَ وَالْمِخْيَطَ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْغُلُولَ فَإِنَّهُ عَارٌ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» . رَوَاهُ الدَّارِمِيُّ

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God answers the prayer for forgiveness of him who goes out in His path, being led to do so by nothing but faith in Him and belief in His Messengers, promising to bring him back with the reward or booty he obtains, or bring him into paradise.”

Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Zaid (rad):
He saw the Prophet (saw) taking some water to wipe his ears other than the water he had taken to wipe his head. [Reported by Al-Baihaqi, who said that its Isnad (chain of narrators) is authentic and At-Tirmidhi also graded it Sahih].
وَعَنْهُ, { أَنَّهُ رَأَى اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -يَأْخُذُ لِأُذُنَيْهِ مَاءً خِلَافَ اَلْمَاءِ اَلَّذِي أَخَذَ لِرَأْسِهِ. } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلْبَيْهَقِيّ ُ 1 .

Bulugh al-Maram 743
Khuzaimah bin Thabit (RAA) narrated, ‘When the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) finished his Talbiyah whether in Hajj or 'Umrah, he would ask Allah for His good pleasure and acceptance and ask Him for Paradise, and would seek refuge in Him from Hell.’ Related by Ash-Shafi'i with a weak chain of narrators.
وَعَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ إِذَا فَرَغَ مِنْ تَلْبِيَتِهِ فِي حَجٍّ أَوْ عُمْرَةٍ سَأَلَ اَللَّهَ رِضْوَانَهُ وَالْجَنَّةَ وَاسْتَعَاذَ 1 بِرَحْمَتِهِ مِنَ اَلنَّارِ } رَوَاهُ اَلشَّافِعِيُّ بِإِسْنَادٍ ضَعِيفٍ 2 .

Bulugh al-Maram 762
'Abdullah bin Masud (RAA) narrated that he kept the Ka'bah on his left and Mina on his right and threw the seven pebbles of Jamrat-ul ‘Aqabah. He then said, ‘This is the location where the one on whom surah al-Baqarah. (surah no. 2) was revealed (i e. the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.)).’ Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّهُ جَعَلَ اَلْبَيْتَ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ, وَمِنًى عَنْ يَمِينِهِ, وَرَمَى اَلْجَمْرَةَ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ 1 وَقَالَ: هَذَا مَقَامُ اَلَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ اَلْبَقَرَةِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. 2 .

Abu Hurairah (BAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions and does not abandon foolishness, Allah is not in need of his leaving food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his FASTING).” Related by Al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud, and the wording is from the latter.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ اَلزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ, وَالْجَهْلَ, فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ فِي أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ 1 .

Narrated ['Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather (RA)]:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade the type of transaction in which a security deposit was paid.
[Reported by Malik, who said, "It reached me (with mentioning its chain of narrators) on the authority of 'Amr bin Shu'aib that..." i.e., the aforesaid Hadith].
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: { نَهَى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَنْ بَيْعِ اَلْعُرْبَانِ } رَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ, قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ, بِهِ 1 .

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "When one of you prostrates, he should not kneel in the manner of a camel, but should put down his hands before his knees."
[Reported by ath-Thalathah].
This Hadith is more authentic than the Hadith narrated by Wa'il bin Hujr (RA).

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God’s messenger as saying, “None of you is a believer till his desire follows what I have brought.”
He transmitted it in Sharh al-sunna ; and an-Nawawi said in his Arba’in, “This is a sound tradition which we have transmitted in Kitab al-hujja with a sound isnad.”
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يُؤْمِنُ أَحَدُكُمْ حَتَّى يَكُونَ هَوَاهُ تَبَعًا لِمَا جِئْتُ بِهِ» رَوَاهُ فِي شَرْحِ السُّنَّةَ وَقَالَ النَّوَوِيُّ فِي أَرْبَعِينِهِ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ رَوَيْنَاهُ فِي كتاب الْحجَّة بِإِسْنَاد صَحِيح

Mishkat al-Masabih 2159
He reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone who is about to sleep on his bed lies on his right side, then recites ‘Say, He is God, One’ a hundred times, the Lord will say to him on the day of resurrection, ‘My servant, enter paradise to your right’.”
Tirmidhī transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharīb tradition.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" مِنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فَنَامَ عَلَى يَمِينِهِ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ (قل هُوَ الله أحد)
إِذا كَانَ يَوْم الْقِيَامَةِ يَقُولُ لَهُ الرَّبُّ: يَا عَبْدِي ادْخُلْ عَلَى يَمِينِكَ الْجَنَّةَ ". رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

‘A’isha told that the Prophet used to divide his time among his wives equally and say, “O God, this is my division concerning what I possess, so do not blame me concerning what Thou possessest and I do not.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 3493
‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather said God’s Messenger gave judgment that five camels be paid for every wound which lays bare a bone, and five camels for every tooth.
Abu Dawud, Nasa’i and Darimi transmitted it, and Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted the first part.

Mishkat al-Masabih 3727
Abu Sa'id reported the Prophet as saying, “Every perfidious one will have a standard at his anus on the day of resurrection.” A version has, “On the day of resurrection every perfidious one will have a standard which will be raised for him according to the amount of his perfidy, and no one is more perfidious than the ruler of a community.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ عِنْدَ اسْتِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» . وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «لِكُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَاءٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرْفَعُ لَهُ بِقَدْرِ غَدْرِهِ أَلا وَلَا غادر أعظم مِن أميرِ عامِّةٍ» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

The month is thus, and thus, and thus, and he flapped his hands with all their fingers twice. but at the third turn, folded his right thumb or left thumb (in order to give an idea of twenty-nine).

the one who (is fighting) in the cause of Allah.’”

the sun goes down, but his sins will disappear and he will go back
like on the day his mother bore him.”

His Messenger.” Meaning “This is the Sunnah
of Allah and His
Messenger.”

It was narrated that ‘Asim bin Damrah said:
I said to al-Hasan bin `Ali: The Shi`ah claim that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) will return! He said. Those liars are lying. If we knew that, his wives would not have got married and we would not have divided his estate.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِلْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ إِنَّ الشِّيعَةَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَرْجِعُ قَالَ كَذَبَ أُولَئِكَ الْكَذَّابُونَ لَوْ عَلِمْنَا ذَاكَ مَا تَزَوَّجَ نِسَاؤُهُ وَلَا قَسَمْنَا مِيرَاثَهُ.

وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ وَهُوَ يَجْبِذُ لِسَانَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ مَهْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ إِنَّ هَذَا أَوْرَدَنِي الْمَوَارِدَ .

The Prophet used to move his tongue when the divine Inspiration was being revealed to him. (Sufyan, a subnarrator, demonstrated (how the Prophet used to move his lips) and added. "In order to memorize it." So Allah revealed: "Move not your tongue concerning (the Qur'an) to make haste therewith." (75.16)

I went along with the Prophet to the house of a young tailor of his. The tailor presented a dish of Tharid to the Prophet and resumed his work. The Prophet started picking the pieces of gourd and I too, started picking them and putting it before him. Since then I have always loved (to eat) gourd.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُنِيرٍ، سَمِعَ أَبَا حَاتِمٍ الأَشْهَلَ بْنَ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ ثُمَامَةَ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى غُلاَمٍ لَهُ خَيَّاطٍ، فَقَدَّمَ إِلَيْهِ قَصْعَةً فِيهَا ثَرِيدٌ ـ قَالَ ـ وَأَقْبَلَ عَلَى عَمَلِهِ ـ قَالَ ـ فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَتَبَّعُ الدُّبَّاءَ ـ قَالَ ـ فَجَعَلْتُ أَتَتَبَّعُهُ فَأَضَعُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ـ قَالَ ـ فَمَا زِلْتُ بَعْدُ أُحِبُّ الدُّبَّاءَ.

Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) said, "On Friday there is a particular time. If a Muslim happens to be praying and invoking Allah for something good during that time, Allah will surely fulfill his request." The Prophet pointed out with his hand. We thought that he wanted to illustrate how short that time was.

Narrated Qatada:
We used to go to Anas bin Malik and see his baker standing (preparing the bread). Anas said, "Eat. I have not known that the Prophet ever saw a thin well-baked loaf of bread till he died, and he never saw a roasted sheep with his eyes."

Narrated Sa`d:
I heard the Prophet saying, "Whoever claims to be the son of a person other than his father, and he knows that person is not his father, then Paradise will be forbidden for him." I mentioned that to Abu Bakra, and he said, "My ears heard that and my heart memorized it from Allah's Apostle.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ـ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" مَنِ ادَّعَى إِلَى غَيْرِ أَبِيهِ، وَهْوَ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ أَبِيهِ، فَالْجَنَّةُ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ ". فَذَكَرْتُهُ لأَبِي بَكْرَةَ فَقَالَ وَأَنَا سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَاىَ، وَوَعَاهُ، قَلْبِي مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When a man calls his wife to satisfy his desire, she must go to him even if she is occupied with the oven".

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
I prayed with the Prophet one night and stood on his left side. Allah's Apostle caught hold of my head from behind and drew me to his right and then offered the prayer and slept. Later the Mu'adh-dhin came and the Prophet stood up for prayer without performing ablution.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِرَأْسِي مِنْ وَرَائِي، فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَصَلَّى وَرَقَدَ فَجَاءَهُ الْمُؤَذِّنُ، فَقَامَ وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ.

The Prophet said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

"The she-Camel of a ma in Ihram broke his neck and killed him. He was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he said 'Wash him and shroud him, and do not cover his head, or bring any perfume near him, for he will be raisd reciting Talbiyah.'" (Sahih)

It was narrated that Abu Dharr said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever fasts for three days of each month, he has fasted for a whole lifetime.' Then he said: Allah has spoken the truth in His book: Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof to his credit.
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ اللاَّنِيُّ، بِالْكُوفَةِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ - عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ صَامَ ثَلاَثَةَ أَيَّامٍ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ فَقَدْ صَامَ الدَّهْرَ كُلَّهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " صَدَقَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ { مَنْ جَاءَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا } " .

"Ibn Al-Musayyab told me that Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet told him that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever wants to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove anything from his nails or cut his hair for the first ten days Dhul-Jijjah."'

" مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُضَحِّيَ فَلاَ يَقْلِمْ مِنْ أَظْفَارِهِ وَلاَ يَحْلِقْ شَيْئًا مِنْ شَعْرِهِ فِي عَشْرِ الأُوَلِ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ " .

أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا يَزِيدُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ - عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ طَارِقٍ الْمُحَارِبِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُوا فُلاَنًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ . فَخُذْ لَنَا بِثَأْرِنَا . فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ بَيَاضَ إِبْطَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ
" لاَ تَجْنِي أُمٌّ عَلَى وَلَدٍ " . مَرَّتَيْنِ .

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Umra (a lifelong gift) belongs to the one to whom it was given; it belongs to him and to his heirs, and is inherited by those among his descendants who inherit from him.'"

It was narrated from Kathir bin Kathir, from his father, that his grandfather said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) circumambulate the House seven times, then he prayed two Rak'ahs at the edge of the Maqam, and there was nothing between him and the people who were performing Tawaf."

Hud (i.e. Ibn 'Abdi’llah ibn Sa'd) reports that his grandfather said:
"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) entered Mecca on the Day of Victory with gold and silver on his sword. An inquirer said: 'I asked him about the silver', and he said: ‘The pommel of the sword was silver'.”

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported:
The slave of Banu Bayada cupped Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and he gave him his wages, and talked to his master and he reduced the charges, and if this earning was unlawful Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) would not have given it.

Amr bin Shu'aib narrated from his grandfather, from his father, that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "There is no vow for the son of Adam over what he has no control, and there is no emancipating he can do for one whom he does not own, and there is no divorce for him regarding that which he has no control over."

Narrated An-Nu'man bin Bashir:
That his father gave a slave to a son of his. So he went to the Prophet (saws) to have him witness it. He (saws) said: 'Have you given a gift similar to this one to all of your sons?' He replied: 'No'. So he said: 'Then take him back.'"
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ الْمَعْنَى الْوَاحِدُ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، يُحَدِّثَانِ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، نَحَلَ ابْنًا لَهُ غُلاَمًا فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُشْهِدُهُ فَقَالَ " أَكُلَّ وَلَدِكَ نَحَلْتَهُ مِثْلَ مَا نَحَلْتَ هَذَا " . قَالَ لاَ . قَالَ " فَارْدُدْهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ يَسْتَحِبُّونَ التَّسْوِيَةَ بَيْنَ الْوَلَدِ حَتَّى قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُسَوِّي بَيْنَ وَلَدِهِ حَتَّى فِي الْقُبْلَةِ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُسَوِّي بَيْنَ وَلَدِهِ فِي النُّحْلِ وَالْعَطِيَّةِ الذَّكَرُ وَالأُنْثَى سَوَاءٌ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمُ التَّسْوِيَةُ بَيْنَ الْوَلَدِ أَنْ يُعْطَى الذَّكَرُ مِثْلَ حَظِّ الأُنْثَيَيْنِ مِثْلَ قِسْمَةِ الْمِيرَاثِ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ .

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
That the Messenger of Allah (saws) came across 'Umar while he was on his mount, and he was swearing by his father. So the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Verily Allah prohibits you from swearing by your fathers. So let the one who swears, swear by Allah, or be silent."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَدْرَكَ عُمَرَ وَهُوَ فِي رَكْبٍ وَهُوَ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْهَاكُمْ أَنْ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ لِيَحْلِفْ حَالِفٌ بِاللَّهِ أَوْ لِيَسْكُتْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Amir b. Sa'd reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:
The greatest sinner amongst the Muslims is one who asked about a thing (from Allah's Apostle) which had not been forbidden for the Muslims and it was forbidden for them because of his persistently asking about it.

" إِنِّي لاَ أَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ أَدُورَ بَيْنَكُنَّ فَإِنْ رَأَيْتُنَّ أَنْ تَأْذَنَّ لِيَ فَأَكُونَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ فَعَلْتُنَّ " . فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ .

Narrated 'Amr b. Suh'aib:
On his father's authority, said that his grandfather reported the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: Anyone who practises medicine when he is not known as a practitioner will be held responsible.
Abu Dawud said: This has been transmitted by al-Walid alone. We do not know whether it is sound or not.

Narrated A'ishah:
the wife of Prophet (saws) said: When the Messenger of Allah (saws) suffered from some pain, he recited mu'awwadhat in his heart and blew (them over him). When the pain became severe, I recited (them) over him and wiped him with his hand in the hope of its blessing.

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah said, "A woman is not to fast (even) for one day while her husband is present except with his permission" Agreed upon and the wording is from Al-Bukhari. Abu Dawud’s version states, “unless it is during Ramadan (then she does not need his permission as it is obligatory fasting).’’

’A’isha (RAA) narrated, The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) used to put his head into (the window of my house) while he was in the mosque (performing I'tikaf) and I would comb his hair. When he was in I'tikaf he would not enter the house except for some need.”Agreed upon and the wording is from Al-Bukhari.

A wording by Ahmad has:
Abu Rukana divorced his wife with three pronouncements, in one sitting. Then, he was grieved about her and Allah's Messenger (SAW) told him, "They (the three pronouncements) are reckoned as a single (utterance of divorce)."
[The two Ahadith have Ibn Ishaq, in their chains of narrators, and his reliability has been questioned].

Mishkat al-Masabih 1992
Zaid b. Khalid reported God’s messenger as saying, ‘He who gives one who has been fasting something with which to break his fast, or who equips a fighter will have a reward equivalent to his.”
Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu'ab al-iman, and Muhyi as-sunna, who said it is sahih, in Sharh as-sunna.

‘Uthmān b. ‘ Abdallāh b. Aus ath-Thaqafī, on his grandfather’s authority, reported God’s messenger as saying, “A man’s recitation of the Qur’ān without using a copy of it produces a thousand degrees of reward, but his recitation while using a copy is double that, reaching two thousand degrees.”
Transmitted by Baihaqī in Shu'ab al-īmān.

Mishkat al-Masabih 3092
‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Salim b. ‘Utba b.'Uwaim b. Sa'ida al-Ansari, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Marry virgins, for they have the sweetest mouths, the most prolific wombs, and are most satisfied with little.”
Ibn Majah transmitted in mursal form.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عُوَيْمِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَبْكَارِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ أَعْذَبُ أَفْوَاهًا وَأَنْتَقُ أَرْحَامًا وَأَرْضَى بِالْيَسِيرِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه مُرْسلا

Abu Darda’ reported God’s messenger as saying, “A Muslim’s supplication for an absent brother receives an answer. An angel is stationed at his head, and as often as he makes supplication that his brother may be given what is good the angel who is put in charge of him says, ‘Amen, and may you receive the like’.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" دعوةُ الْمُسْلِمِ لِأَخِيهِ بِظَهْرِ الْغَيْبِ مُسْتَجَابَةٌ عِنْدَ رَأْسِهِ مَلَكٌ مُوَكَّلٌ كُلَّمَا دَعَا لِأَخِيهِ بِخَيْرٍ قَالَ الْمَلَكُ الْمُوَكَّلُ بِهِ: آمِينَ وَلَكَ بِمِثْلٍ ". رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with both of them) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
The month is thus and thus and thus (i. e. pointing with his fingers thrice), and he held back his thumb at the third time (in order to show that it can also consist of twenty-nine days).

This hadith has been narrated by Sulaiman al-Taimi with the same chain of transmitters (but with a slight variation of words) that he (the Holy Prophet) said:
The dawn is not like it as it is said; he then gathered his fingers and lowered them. But he said, it is like this (and he placed the index finger upon the other one and spread his hand).
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ، - يَعْنِي الأَحْمَرَ - عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ " إِنَّ الْفَجْرَ لَيْسَ الَّذِي يَقُولُ هَكَذَا " . وَجَمَعَ أَصَابِعَهُ ثُمَّ نَكَسَهَا إِلَى الأَرْضِ " وَلَكِنِ الَّذِي يَقُولُ هَكَذَا " . وَوَضَعَ الْمُسَبِّحَةَ عَلَى الْمُسَبِّحَةِ وَمَدَّ يَدَيْهِ .

"We said: 'O Messenger of Allah(SAW), (we know) this (greeting of) Salam, but what does seeking permission to enter mean?' He said: 'It means a man saying SubhanAllah, and Allahu Akbar and Al Hamdulillah, and clearing his throat, announcing his arrival to the people in the house."

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah used to divide his time equally among his wives, then he would say 'O Allah, this is what I am doing with regard to that which is within my control, so do not hold me accountable for that which is under Your control and is beyond my control.'"

Hirmas bin Habib narrated from his father that his grandfather said:
“I came to the Prophet (SAW) with a man who owed me money, and he said to me: 'Keep him.' Then he passed by me at the end of the day and said: 'What did your prisoner do, O brother of Banu Tamim?' ”

It was
narrated that Salman Al-Farisi said:
“The Messenger of Allah
(saw)
was asked about ghee, cheese and wild donkeys. He said: ‘What is
lawful is that which Allah has permitted, in His Book and what is
unlawful is that which Allah has forbidden in His Book. What He
remained silent about is what is pardoned.’”

" الْحَلاَلُ مَا أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ وَالْحَرَامُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ وَمَا سَكَتَ عَنْهُ فَهُوَ مِمَّا عَفَا عَنْهُ " .

It was
narrated from Sahl bin Mu’adh bin Anas, from his father, that
the
Messenger of Allah (saw) said:
“For me to hive a good send-off to
a
warrior who is going to fight in the cause of Allah, and to guard
his
goods when he goes out in the morning or evening, is dearer to me
than this world and everything in it.”
حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُسَافِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ زَبَّانَ بْنِ فَائِدٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

Sunan Ibn Majah 2882
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw)
said:
“Traveling is a kind of torment, it keeps anyone of you from his
sleep, food and drink. When anyone of you has fulfilled the purpose
for which he travled, let him hasten to return to his family.”
Another chain reports a similar hadith.

" السَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ يَمْنَعُ أَحَدَكُمْ نَوْمَهُ وَطَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ فَإِذَا قَضَى أَحَدُكُمْ نَهْمَتَهُ مِنْ سَفَرِهِ فَلْيُعَجِّلِ الرُّجُوعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1101
‘Abdur-Rahman bin Sa’d bin ‘Ammar bin Sad, the Mu’adh-dhin of
the
Prophet (saw), said:
“My father told me, narrating from his
father,
from his grandfather, that during the time of the Messenger
of Allah
(saw), he used to call the Adhan on Fridays when the shadow
was like a
sandal strap.”
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، مُؤَذِّنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُؤَذِّنُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِذَا كَانَ الْفَىْءُ مِثْلَ الشِّرَاكِ .

Musnad Ahmad 1205
It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that He did wudoo’ washing each part three times, then he wiped his head, then he drank the water left over from his wudoo’. Then he said:
Whoever would like to see the wudoo’ of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), let him look at this.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ ثُمَّ شَرِبَ فَضْلَ وَضُوئِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى وُضُوءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى هَذَا.

Malik related to me from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Harmala from Amr ibn Shuayb from his father from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "One rider is a shaytan. Two riders are two shaytans, and three are a riding-party."

" الرَّاكِبُ شَيْطَانٌ وَالرَّاكِبَانِ شَيْطَانَانِ وَالثَّلاَثَةُ رَكْبٌ " .

Narrated Sahl bin Sa`d As-Sa`idi:
(a companion of Allah's Apostle) Allah's Apostle, holding out his middle and index fingers, said, "My advent and the Hour's are like this (or like these)," namely, the period between his era and the Hour is like the distance between those two fingers, i.e., very short.

" بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةَ كَهَذِهِ مِنْ هَذِهِ أَوْ كَهَاتَيْنِ ". وَقَرَنَ بَيْنَ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى.

Narrated `Abdullah:
I visited the Prophet during his ailments and he was suffering from a high fever. I said, "You have a high fever. Is it because you will have a double reward for it?" He said, "Yes, for no Muslim is afflicted with any harm but that Allah will remove his sins as the leaves of a tree fall down."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَرَضِهِ وَهْوَ يُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا، وَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ لَتُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا. قُلْتُ إِنَّ ذَاكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَيْنِ. قَالَ
" أَجَلْ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصِيبُهُ أَذًى، إِلاَّ حَاتَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَطَايَاهُ، كَمَا تَحَاتُّ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ ".

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Allah curses a man who steals an egg and gets his hand cut off, or steals a rope and gets his hands cut off." Al-A`mash said, "People used to interpret the Baida as an iron helmet, and they used to think that the rope may cost a few dirhams."
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لَعَنَ اللَّهُ السَّارِقَ، يَسْرِقُ الْبَيْضَةَ فَتُقْطَعُ يَدُهُ، وَيَسْرِقُ الْحَبْلَ فَتُقْطَعُ يَدُهُ ". قَالَ الأَعْمَشُ كَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ بَيْضُ الْحَدِيدِ، وَالْحَبْلُ كَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ مِنْهَا مَا يَسْوَى دَرَاهِمَ.

Riyad as-Salihin 1027
'Uthman bin 'Affan (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) performing Wudu' the way I have just done it and said, "He who performs Wudu' like this, his previous sins will be forgiven and his Salat and walking to the mosque will be considered as supererogatory act of worship."

وعنه قال: رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يتوضأ مثل وضوئي هذا ثم قال:
"من توضأ هكذا، غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه، وكانت صلاته ومشيه إلى المسجد نافلة" ((رواه مسلم)).

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not ask someone to give up his seat in order to take it, but make accommodation wide and sit at ease." It was Ibn 'Umar's habit that if a person left his seat for him, he would not take it.

عن ابن عمر رضى الله عنهما قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:
"لا يقمن أحدكم من مجلسه ثم يجلس فيه، ولكن توسعوا وتفسحوا" وكان ابن عمر إذا قام له رجل من مجلسه لم يجلس فيه. ((متفق عليه)).

Yahya related to me from Malik from his paternal uncle Abu Suhayl ibn Malik that his uncle's father said, "I recognise nothing nowadays of what I saw the people (i.e. the companions of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace ) doing except the call to prayer."
وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَا أَعْرِفُ شَيْئًا مِمَّا أَدْرَكْتُ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسَ إِلاَّ النِّدَاءَ بِالصَّلاَةِ .
