'Iyad ibn Himar said, "I said, 'Messenger of Allah, there is someone
who reviles me.' The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
said, 'Those who revile one another are two shaytans who accuse one another
and deny one another.'"

Iyas ibn Salama related that his father said, "A man sneezed in
the presence of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and
the Prophet said, 'May Allah have mercy on you.' Then the man sneezed again
and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'This man
has a cold.'"

Musa ibn Dihqan said, "I saw Ibn 'Umar sitting on a bridal seat
wearing a red garment."
'Imran ibn Muslim said, "I saw Anas sitting on a bed, placing one foot over another."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ دِهْقَانَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ جَالِسًا عَلَى سَرِيرِ عَرُوسٍ، عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابٌ حُمْرُ.
وَعَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَنَسًا جَالِسًا عَلَى سَرِيرٍ وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأخْرَى.

Shaddad bin Aus (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) came across a man in Al-Baqi' (in Madinah) who was having himself cupped in Ramadan., and said to him, “The one who cups and the one who is being cupped have both broken their fast." Related by the five Imams except for At-Tirmidhi. Ahmad, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban regarded it as authentic.
وَعَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي رَمَضَانَ. فَقَالَ:
" أَفْطَرَ اَلْحَاجِمُ [ وَالْمَحْجُومُ ] " } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا اَلتِّرْمِذِيَّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Narrated Sa'id bin al-Musaiyab regarding a man who finds nothing to spend on his wife:
"They are to be separated."
Reported by Sa'id bin Mansur, from Sufyan, from Abu az-Zinad, from Sa'id bin al-Musaiyab. He said, "I asked Sa'id (bin al-Musaiyab), 'Is this Sunnah?' And he replied, 'Yes, it is Sunnah!'"
[This Hadith is a strong Mursal (missing link after the Tabi'i].
وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ اَلْمُسَيَّبِ -فِي اَلرَّجُلِ لَا يَجِدُ مَا يُنْفِقُ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ- قَالَ: { يُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا } . أَخْرَجَهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ: عَنْ سُفْيَانَ, عَنْ أَبِي اَلزِّنَادِ, عَنْهُ. قَالَ: { فَقُلْتُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ اَلْمُسَيَّبِ: سُنَّةٌ? فَقَالَ: سُنَّةٌ } . وَهَذَا مُرْسَلٌ قَوِيَ 1 .

Narrated Abu Bakr bin 'Abdur-Rahman on the authority of Abu Hurairah (RA):
We heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) say: "If a creditor finds his very property with a debtor who becomes bankrupt, he is more entitled to it than anyone else."

Narrated [Abu Hurairah (RA)]:
A blind man came to the Prophet (SAW) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have no guide to take me to the mosque." He [the Prophet (SAW)] therefore permitted him (to pray at his house), then when the man turned away the Prophet (SAW) called him and asked, "Can you hear the Adhan (call) for prayer?" He answered, "Yes". He [the Prophet (SAW)] said, "Then respond to it."
[Reported by Muslim].
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: { أَتَى اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -رَجُلٌ أَعْمَى فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! لَيْسَ لِي قَائِدٌ يَقُودُنِي إِلَى اَلْمَسْجِدِ, فَرَخَّصَ لَهُ, فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ, فَقَالَ: "هَلْ تَسْمَعُ اَلنِّدَاءَ بِالصَّلَاةِ?" قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: "فَأَجِبْ" } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم ٌ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 1583
Abu Huraira said that fever was mentioned in the presence of God’s messenger, and when a man reviled it the Prophet said, "Do not revile it, for it removes sins as fire removes the dross of iron.”
Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: ذُكِرَتِ الْحُمَّى عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَبَّهَا رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَسُبَّهَا فَإِنَّهَا تَنْفِي الذُّنُوبَ كَمَا تَنْفِي النَّارُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه

Mishkat al-Masabih 3417
‘A’isha said that the verse, "God will not take you to account for what is futile in your oaths” (Al-Qu’ran 2:225; 5:89) was sent down about such phrases as "No, by God,” and "Yes, by God.”
Bukhari transmitted it. Sharh as-sunna has the wording of al-Masabih, saying that some transmitters traced it back to the Prophet on ‘A’isha’s authority.
عَن عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: أُنْزِلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: (لَا يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ اللَّهُ بِاللَّغْوِ فِي أَيْمَانِكُمْ)

Abu Huraira told of a man who said, “Messenger of God, I intend to make a journey, so give me an injunction.” He told him to maintain fear of God and say “God is most great” on every rising ground, and when the man turned away he said, “O God, make the distance short for him and make the journey easy for him.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُسَافِرَ فَأَوْصِنِي قَالَ: «عَلَيْكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كل شرف» . قَالَ: فَلَمَّا وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اطْوِ لَهُ الْبعد وهون عَلَيْهِ السّفر» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

"If a man had intercourse with his wife while she was menstruating, the Prophet commanded him to give half a Dinar in charity."

Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:

Sunan Ibn Majah 2274
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
"There are seventy degrees of usury, the least of which is equivalent to a man having intercourse with his mother."

“A man entered the mosque when

Prophet (saw) was delivering the sermon. He said: ‘Have you
prayed?’ He said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Then pray two Rak’ah.’”

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said:
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked: Can a man go to sleep when he is junub? He said: `Yes, if he does wudoo’.`

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Amr ibn ash- Sharid that Abdullah ibn Abbas was asked whether, if a man had two wives, and one of them nursed a slave-boy, and the other had nursed a slave-girl, could the slave-boy marry the slave-girl. He said, "No. The husband is the same."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الشَّرِيدِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، سُئِلَ عَنْ رَجُلٍ، كَانَتْ لَهُ امْرَأَتَانِ فَأَرْضَعَتْ إِحْدَاهُمَا غُلاَمًا وَأَرْضَعَتِ الأُخْرَى جَارِيَةً فَقِيلَ لَهُ هَلْ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْغُلاَمُ الْجَارِيَةَ فَقَالَ لاَ اللِّقَاحُ وَاحِدٌ .

Malik related to me that he had heard that Fadala ibn Ubayd al- Ansari who was one of the companions of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was asked whether it was permissible for a man who had to free a slave to free an illegitimate child. He said, "Yes, That will give satisfaction for him."
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، وَكَانَ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ تَكُونُ عَلَيْهِ رَقَبَةٌ هَلْ يَجُوزُ لَهُ أَنْ يُعْتِقَ وَلَدَ زِنًا قَالَ نَعَمْ ذَلِكَ يُجْزِئُ عَنْهُ .

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah bepleased with them) reported:
A man named Kirkirah, who was in charge of the personal effects of Messenger of Allah (PBUH) passed away and the Prophet (PBUH) said, "He is in the (Hell) Fire." Some people went to his house looking for its cause and found there a cloak that he had stolen. [Al-Bukhari]
وعنه رضي الله عنه قال: كان على ثقل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل يقال له كركرة، فمات، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم :
"هو في النار" فذهبوا ينظرون إليه فوجدوا عباءة قد غلها” ((رواه البخاري)).

I would scratch even if my hands were tied and I could only use my feet.' "

‘When they narrated these things after Alī, may Allah be pleased with him, a man from the companions of Alī said: ‘May Allah curse them. Did they corrupt every [type of] knowledge!?’

‘What an excellent man is Baqiyyah, if it were not for the fact that he would provide a nickname for [those who were better-known by] the birth name, and he would provide the birth name for [those who were better-known by] a nickname. For a long time he would narrated to us on authority of Abī Sa’īd al-Wuhāthī, then when we investigated [we were surprised that] he was Abd ul-Quddūs ’.

It is not lawful for a Muslim woman to travel a night's journey except when there is a Mahram with her.

Some people used to allot some date palm trees to the Prophet as gift till he conquered Banu Quraiza and Bani An-Nadir, where upon he started returning their date palms to them.

فَرَجَعَ الرَّجُلُ فَصَلَّى، وَجَعَلْنَا نَرْمُقُ صَلَاتَهُ، لَا نَدْرِي مَا يَعِيبُ مِنْهَا، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ، جَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى الْقَوْمِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَعَلَيْكَ، ارْجِعْ فَصَلِّ، فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تُصَلِّ ".
قَالَ هَمَّامٌ : فَلَا أَدْرِي أَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا.
قَالَ الرَّجُلُ : مَا أَلَوْتُ، فَلَا أَدْرِي مَا عِبْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ صَلَاتِي.
فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّهَالَا تَتِمُّ صَلَاةُ أَحَدِكُمْ حَتَّى يُسْبِغَ الْوُضُوءَ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ G فَيَغْسِلُ وَجْهَهُ وَيَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ، وَيَمْسَحُ بِرَأْسِهِ، وَرِجْلَيْهِ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ اللَّهَ وَيَحْمَدُهُ، ثُمَّ يَقْرَأُ مِنْ الْقُرْآنِ مَا أَذِنَ اللَّهُ G لَهُ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ فَيَرْكَعُ، فَيَضَعُ كَفَّيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ مَفَاصِلُهُ وَتَسْتَرْخِيَ، وَيَقُولُ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَيَسْتَوِي قَائِمًا حَتَّى يُقِيمَ صُلْبَهُ، فَيَأْخُذَ كُلُّ عَظْمٍ مَأْخَذَهُ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ فَيَسْجُدُ فَيُمَكِّنُ وَجْهَهُ، قَالَ هَمَّامٌ : وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ : جَبْهَتَهُ مِنْ الْأَرْضِ حَتَّى تَطْمَئِنَّ مَفَاصِلُهُ وَتَسْتَرْخِيَ، ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ، فَيَسْتَوِي قَاعِدًا عَلَى مَقْعَدِهِ وَيُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ، فَوَصَفَ الصَّلَاةَ هَكَذَا أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ حَتَّى فَرَغَ، لَا تَتِمُّ صَلَاةُ أَحَدِكُمْ حَتَّى يَفْعَلَ ذَلِكَ "

Sunan Abi Dawud 4099
Ibn AbuMulaykah told that when someone remarked to Aisha that a woman was wearing sandals, she replied:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) cursed mannish women.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Qatadah through a different chain of narrators to the effect that two men laid claim camel and both of them produced witness so the prophet (peace be upon him) divided it in halves between them.

A man from Muzainah who followed the knowledge and memorized it to me that sa’id b.al-Musayyab transmitted it. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect.

He told of a man coming to the Prophet and saying that his sister had taken a vow to make the pilgrimage, but had died. The Prophet asked whether he would pay a debt, supposing she owed one, and when he replied that he would, he said, “Well, pay the debt due to God, for it is the one which most deserves to be paid.”

Ibn Mas'ud reported God's messenger as saying, "Mankind will go down to hell and then come up from it because of their deeds, the first of them like a flash of lightning, next like the wind, next like a horse's gallop, next like one riding on his pack-saddle, next like a man's running, next like his walking."
Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَرِدُ النَّاسُ النَّارَ ثمَّ يصدون مِنْهَا بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ فَأَوَّلُهُمْ كَلَمْحِ الْبَرْقِ ثُمَّ كَالرِّيحِ ثُمَّ كَحُضْرِ الْفَرَسِ ثُمَّ كَالرَّاكِبِ فِي رَحْلِهِ ثُمَّ كَشَدِّ الرَّجُلِ ثُمَّ كَمَشْيِهِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ

An-Nu'man b. Bashir said:
I heard God's messenger say, "I have warned you of hell, I have warned you of hell," and he kept on saying it so loudly that if he had been where I am just now the people in the street would be able to hear it. He went on till a cloak he was wearing fell down at his feet.
Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «أَنْذَرْتُكُمُ النَّارَ أَنْذَرْتُكُمُ النَّارَ» فَمَا زَالَ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّى لَوْ كَانَ فِي مَقَامِي هَذَا سَمِعَهُ أَهْلُ السُّوقِ وَحَتَّى سَقَطَتْ خَمِيصَةٌ كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ رجلَيْهِ. رَوَاهُ الدَّارمِيّ

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 13
'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said, "A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, and made a pledge to him that he would do hijra.
He left his parents who were in tears. The Prophet said, 'Go back to them
and make them laugh as you made them weep.'"

Abu'l-Malih reported from one of his people (who was a Companion)

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RAA):
The Prophet (saws) said, "I have been given five things which were not given to anyone else before me. Allah made me victorious by awe (of frightening my enemies) for a distance of one month's journey. The earth has been made for me (and my followers) a place for praying and something with which to perform Tayammum (to purify oneself for prayer). Therefore, anyone (of my followers) can pray (anywhere) and at any time that the Salat (prayer) is due."

Narrated Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RA):
The Jews used to say, "When a man has intercourse with his wife through the vagina, but from her back side, the child will be squint-eyed." Then, the Verse came down: "Your wives are a tilth to you, so come to your tilth however you wish [2:223]."

Narrated [Abu Hurairah (RA)]:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade, a city-dweller to sell for a man from the desert; one to bid against another (to raise the price); that someone sell (his product) by canceling the sale of his brother; to propose (marriage) to a woman after his brother has done so; or a woman to ask to have her sister divorced in order to deprive her of what belongs to her.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
A man gave away a she-camel to Allah's Messenger (SAW). So he gave him something in return for it and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "No." So he gave him more and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "No." Again he gave him more and asked, "Are you pleased?" He replied, "Yes."
[Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Mishkat al-Masabih 535
Abul Juhaim b. al-Harith b. as-Simma said that once when coming from the direction of Bi’r Jamal* the Prophet was met by a man who saluted him, but the Prophet did not respond to his salutation till he went towards the wall and wiped his face and his hands. Then he responded to his salutation.

Mishkat al-Masabih 2835
Jabir said that God’s Messenger forbade mukhabara, muhaqala and muzabana. Muhaqala means that a man sells a sown field for a hundred faraqs ( 3 sa’s) of wheat; muzabana that he sells the dates on the palm-trees for a hundred faraqs and mukharaba is renting land for a third and a quarter of the produce.
Muslim transmitted it.

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade a man to raise his voice in reciting the Qur`an before and after `lsha`, lest he cause his companions to make a mistake in their prayer.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي الطَّحَّانَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُطَرِّفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَرْفَعَ الرَّجُلُ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ الْعَتَمَةِ وَبَعْدَهَا يُغَلِّطُ أَصْحَابَهُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ.

Malik related to me from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father used to rent out his land for gold and silver.
Malik was asked about a man who rented his field for 100 sa of dates or part of its produce of wheat or from other than its produce. He disapproved of that.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُكْرِي أَرْضَهُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَالْوَرِقِ . وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَكْرَى مَزْرَعَتَهُ بِمِائَةِ صَاعٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ مِمَّا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا مِنَ الْحِنْطَةِ أَوْ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا فَكَرِهَ ذَلِكَ .

Malik related to me from Zayd ibn Aslam that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "Two men from the east stood up and spoke, and people were amazed at their eloquence. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Some eloquence is sorcery,' or he said, 'Part of eloquence is sorcery.' "
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدِمَ رَجُلاَنِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَخَطَبَا فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ لِبَيَانِهِمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرًا " . أَوْ قَالَ " إِنَّ بَعْضَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرٌ " .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar said, "When a man makes a vow to abstain from intercourse with his wife and four months have passed he must declare his intent and either he is divorced or he revokes his vow. Divorce does not occur until four months have passed and he continues to abstain."

'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with tehm) reported:
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "It was shown to me in my dream that I was cleaning my teeth with a Miswak and two men came to me, one being older than the other. I gave the Miswak to the younger one, but I was asked to give it to the older, which I did".

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Avoid (entering a place) in which are women (uncovered or simply to mix with them in seclusion)." A man from the Ansar said, "Tell me about the brother of a woman's husband." He replied, "The brother of a woman's husband is death."

A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said, "What a trouble I suffered from a scorpion which stung me last night!" He (PBUH) said, "Had you said in the evening: 'A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaqa (I seek the protection of Allah's Perfect Words from the evil of whatever He has created),' it would not have harmed you."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that one of the muhajirun in whom he saw no harm asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As, "Can I pray in a place where camels are watered?" Abdullah replied, "No, but you can pray in a sheep-pen."
