Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 144
Abu Hurayra reported that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, with a child. She said, "Make supplication
for him. I have buried three children." He said, "You have built a strong
barrier against the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ طَلْقِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِصَبِيٍّ فَقَالَتِ: ادْعُ لَهُ، فَقَدْ دَفَنْتُ ثَلاَثَةً، فَقَالَ: احْتَظَرْتِ بِحِظَارٍ شَدِيدٍ مِنَ النَّارِ.

It is reported Nawwas ibn Sam'an asked the Messenger of Allah,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about righteousness and sin.
He said, "Righteousness is good character and sin is what gnaws at your conscience and that which you dislike for other people to become
aware of."

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "You will find that the worst of people in the sight
of Allah on the Day of Rising will be the two-faced person who presents
one face to a group of people and another face to a different group of
people."

Jabir reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, "Beware of injustice. Injustice will appear as darkness
on the Day of Rising. Fear avarice. It destroyed those before you and caused
them to shed one another's blood and to make lawful what was unlawful."

'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah may Allah

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Companions of the Prophet, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to gather and they would turn
towards the tree and a group of them would go to the right and a group
to its left. When they met again, they would greet one another.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ نِبْرَاسٍ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانُوا يَكُونُونَ مُجْتَمِعِينَ فَتَسْتَقْبِلُهُمُ الشَّجَرَةُ، فَتَنْطَلِقُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ عَنْ يَمِينِهَا وَطَائِفَةٌ عَنْ شِمَالِهَا، فَإِذَا الْتَقَوْا سَلَّمَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ.

Anas ibn Malik reported that a man cursed fleas in the presence
of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not curse them. A flea
woke up one of the Prophets for the prayer."

Rabi'a ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Hadir ibn 'Abdullah reported tht two
men wagered two cocks in the time of 'Umar. 'Umar ordered that the cock
be killed and a man of the Ansar said to him, "Will you kill a something
which glorifies Allah?" So 'Umar left it.
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَعْنٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْهُدَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ اقْتَمَرَا عَلَى دِيكَيْنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ عُمَرَ فَأَمَرَ عُمَرُ بِقَتْلِ الدِّيَكَةِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ: أَتَقْتُلُ أُمَّةً تُسَبِّحُ؟ فَتَرَكَهَا.

Narrated (rad):
Some people dragging a (dead) goat passed by the Prophet (saw). He told them, “Had you better taken its skin”. They said, “It is dead”. He said, “Water and the leaves of the Acacia tree will purify it”. [Reported by Abu Da’ud and An’Nasa’i].
وَعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ رَضِيَ الْلَّهُ عَنْهَا، قَالَتْ: { مَرَّ رَسُولُ الْلَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -بِشَاةٍ يَجُرُّونَهَا، فَقَالَ: "لَوْ أَخَذْتُمْ إِهَابَهَا؟" فَقَالُوا: إِنَّهَا مَيْتَةٌ، فَقَالَ: "يُطَهِّرُهَا الْمَاءُ وَالْقَرَظُ" } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ، وَالنَّسَائِيُّ 1 .

Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “When two people go together to relieve themselves they should disappear from each other and do not talk, for Allah detests that”. [Reported by Ahmad; Ibn As-Sakan and Ibn Al-Qattan graded it Sahih (sound) but it is defective].
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا تَغَوَّطَ اَلرَّجُلَانِ فَلْيَتَوَارَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَنْ صَاحِبِهِ, وَلَا يَتَحَدَّثَا. فَإِنَّ اَللَّهَ يَمْقُتُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ } رَوَاهُ . 1 وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ اَلسَّكَنِ, وَابْنُ اَلْقَطَّانِ, وَهُوَ مَعْلُول ٌ 2 .

Ibn ’Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘The people were trying to sight the new moon (of Ramadan.) and when I reported to the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) that I had seen it, he fasted and commanded people to fast.’ Related by Abu Dawud, and Al-Hakim and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported this Hadith and the later graded it Hasan (good):
"The wife of Thabit bin Qais got a divorce from him in return for a compensation (paid by her), and the Prophet (SAW) made her 'Iddah (period of waiting before re-marrying) one menstruation course."

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
Suckling applies only (to infants) during the first two years (of their life).
[Reported by ad-Daraqutni and Ibn 'Adi as Marfu' (a saying of the Prophet) and Mawquf (a saying of a Companion). However, they both held that the stronger view is that it is Mawquf (i.e. saying if Ibn 'Abbas).

[al-Baihaqi reported it. Its narrators are reliable, but al-Baihaqi said, "The correct narration is that which is Mawquf (a saying of a Companion)"].

I heard Allah's Messenger (SAW) saying, "When two people who are arranging a business transaction disagree and there is no proof to arbitrate between them, the seller's word is final, or they may break the deal."

Narrated 'Ali bin Abu Talib (RA):
The Witr prayer is not obligatory as the prescribed prayer is [i.e. the five daily prayers], but it is a Sunnah which was established by the practice of Allah's Messenger (SAW).
[at-Tirmidhi and an-Nasa'i reported it, who graded it Hasan (good). al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Umm Hisham (RA) daughter of Haritha said:
I learnt Surat Qaf (Chapter 50) from no other source than the tongue of Allah's Messenger (SAW) who used to recite it every Friday on the pulpit when he delivered the Khutbah (sermon) to the people."

Rain fell upon us while we were with Allah's Messenger (SAW). He opened his garment till some of the rain fell upon him. He then said, "It has only recently been created by its Rabb."

Ibn ʿAbbās reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Qul huwa Allāhu aḥad (Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ) is equivalent to one-third of the Qur'ān, and Qul yā ayyuhal kāfirūn (Sūrat al-Kāfirūn) is equivalent to one-fourth of the Qur'ān.”

Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan sahih tradition, and Abu Dawud transmitted it up to “disposition.”

'Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported the Prophet as saying, “The passing away of the world would mean less to God than the murder of a Muslim man.”
Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it. Some traced it only to the Companion, and that is the soundest view. Ibn Majah transmitted it on the authority of al-Bara’ b. 'Azib.

‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, said his grandfather reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Anyone who practices medicine when he is not known as a practitioner will be held responsible.”*

" صَلاَةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرْ بِوَاحِدَةٍ " .

" إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاَثًا فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَجَابِرٍ وَعَائِشَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَأُحِبُّ لِكُلِّ مَنِ اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنَ النَّوْمِ قَائِلَةً كَانَتْ أَوْ غَيْرَهَا أَنْ لاَ يُدْخِلَ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا فَإِنْ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهَا كَرِهْتُ ذَلِكَ لَهُ وَلَمْ يُفْسِدْ ذَلِكَ الْمَاءَ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَى يَدِهِ نَجَاسَةٌ . وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنَ النَّوْمِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَغْسِلَهَا فَأَعْجَبُ إِلَىَّ أَنْ يُهَرِيقَ الْمَاءَ . وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنَ النَّوْمِ بِاللَّيْلِ أَوْ بِالنَّهَارِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا .

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was even shier than a virgin behind her veil. When he saw something which he disliked, we could perceive it on his face.
