Mishkat al-Masabih 2769
Anas said that Abu Taiba cupped God’s Messenger and he ordered that sa’ of dates be given him, also ordering his people to remit some of his dues.*
* Abu Taiba was a client of the B. Haritha. It was the custom for a slave to hand over to his master part of what he earned. Here the Prophet suggests that the masters of Abu Taiba should reduce the amount they took from him.

Sahih Muslim 675 d
Abu Salama narrated that Abu Huraira told him that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) pronounced:
" Allah listened to him who praised Him." and before prostration, he would recite this in the 'Isya' prayer: O Allah! rescue 'Ayyash b. Abu Rabi'a, and the rest of the hadith is the same as narrated by Auza'i to the words:" Like the famine (at the time) if Joseph." but he made no mention of that which follows afterwards.
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَيْنَمَا هُوَ يُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ إِذْ قَالَ " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ " اللَّهُمَّ نَجِّ عَيَّاشَ بْنَ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ " . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ إِلَى قَوْلِهِ " كَسِنِي يُوسُفَ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ مَا بَعْدَهُ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1216
It was narrated from Abu Salamah that :
Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) stood up to pray and we stood up with him. A Bedouin said- while he was praying- 'O Allah, have mercy on me and Muhammad and do not have mercy on anyone else.' When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said the Salam, he said to the Bedouin: 'You have limited something vast," meaning the mercy of Allah (SWT)."
أَخْبَرَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْدِيِّ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ وَقُمْنَا مَعَهُ فَقَالَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا وَلاَ تَرْحَمْ مَعَنَا أَحَدًا . فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِلأَعْرَابِيِّ
" لَقَدْ تَحَجَّرْتَ وَاسِعًا " . يُرِيدُ رَحْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Sumayy, the mawla of Abu Bakr, from Abu Salih as Samman, from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When the imam has said, 'not of those with whom You are angry nor of those who are in error,' say 'Amin', for the previous wrong actions of the one whose utterance coincides with that of the angels, are forgiven him."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ السَّمَّانِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا قَالَ الإِمَامُ {غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ} فَقُولُوا آمِينَ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ وَافَقَ قَوْلُهُ قَوْلَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .

Abu Hurairah [may Allah be pleased with him] narrated :
that the Messenger of Allah said: “Three supplications are responded to: The supplication of the oppressed, the supplication of the traveler, and the supplication of the parent against his child.” Ali bin Hujr narrated to us (he said): Ismail bin Ibrahim reported to us from Hisham Ad-Dastawa’i, from Yahya bin Abu Kathir with this chain, narrating similar to it, but he added to it: “responded to, there is no doubt in them.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ الصَّوَّافُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" ثَلاَثُ دَعَوَاتٍ مُسْتَجَابَاتٌ دَعْوَةُ الْمَظْلُومِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْمُسَافِرِ وَدَعْوَةُ الْوَالِدِ عَلَى وَلَدِهِ " .
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتَوَائِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ . وَزَادَ فِيهِ مُسْتَجَابَاتٌ لاَ شَكَّ فِيهِنَّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَأَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ هَذَا الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْمُؤَذِّنُ وَقَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ غَيْرَ حَدِيثٍ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ اسْمَهُ .

Narrated Aisha:
That once Abu Bakr came to her on the day of `Id-ul-Fitr or `Id ul Adha while the Prophet was with her and there were two girl singers with her, singing songs of the Ansar about the day of Buath. Abu Bakr said twice. "Musical instrument of Satan!" But the Prophet said, "Leave them Abu Bakr, for every nation has an `Id (i.e. festival) and this day is our `Id."
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ، دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ فِطْرٍ أَوْ أَضْحًى، وَعِنْدَهَا قَيْنَتَانِ {تُغَنِّيَانِ} بِمَا تَقَاذَفَتِ الأَنْصَارُ يَوْمَ بُعَاثَ. فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مِزْمَارُ الشَّيْطَانِ مَرَّتَيْنِ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" دَعْهُمَا يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، إِنَّ لِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ عِيدًا، وَإِنَّ عِيدَنَا هَذَا الْيَوْمُ ".

The Prophet said: "Sins are expiated by well-performed ablution despite difficulties, increasing the number of steps one takes towards the mosque, (and waiting for the next prayer after prayer)."

" كَفَّارَاتُ الْخَطَايَا إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عَلَى الْمَكَارِهِ وَإِعْمَالُ الأَقْدَامِ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلاَةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلاَةِ " .

" الأَرْضُ يُطَهِّرُ بَعْضُهَا بَعْضًا " .

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that:
"a man entered the masjid, and the Messenger of Allah(SAW) was sitting in a corner of the mosque. He prayed, then he came and greeted him with Salam(peace), and he said: 'Wa 'alaikassalm."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ جَالِسٌ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ
" وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلاَمُ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 3678
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah(SAW) said:
"O Allah, bear witness that I have issued a warning concerning (failure to fulfill) the rights of the two weak ones: Orphans and women.'"

Sunan Ibn Majah 2044
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the:
Messenger of Allah (SAW) said : "Allah has forgiven my nation for the evil suggestions of their hearts, so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it, and for what they are forced to do."
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَجَاوَزَ لأُمَّتِي عَمَّا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ صُدُورُهَا . مَا لَمْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ أَوْ تَتَكَلَّمْ بِهِ وَمَا اسْتُكْرِهُوا عَلَيْهِ " .

“Whoever finds his exact property with a man who has become bankrupt, and then he has more right to it than anyone else.”

livestock.”

removes filth from iron.’”

Abu Hurairah narrated that :
Allah's Messenger said: "When one of you is in the Masjid, and he senses wind between his buttocks then he should not exit until he hears a sound or smells an odor."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَوَجَدَ رِيحًا بَيْنَ أَلْيَتَيْهِ فَلاَ يَخْرُجْ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدَ رِيحًا " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَعَلِيِّ بْنِ طَلْقٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الْعُلَمَاءِ أَنْ لاَ يَجِبَ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدَثٍ يَسْمَعُ صَوْتًا أَوْ يَجِدُ رِيحًا . وَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ إِذَا شَكَّ فِي الْحَدَثِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْوُضُوءُ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِنَ اسْتِيقَانًا يَقْدِرُ أَنْ يَحْلِفَ عَلَيْهِ . وَقَالَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ قُبُلِ الْمَرْأَةِ الرِّيحُ وَجَبَ عَلَيْهَا الْوُضُوءُ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَإِسْحَاقَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1678
It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"My closest friend advised me to do three things: 'To pray witr at the beginning of the night, to pray two rak'ahs of Fajr and to fast three days of each month.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أَوْصَانِي خَلِيلِي صلى الله عليه وسلم بِثَلاَثٍ الْوِتْرِ أَوَّلَ اللَّيْلِ وَرَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ وَصَوْمِ ثَلاَثَةِ أَيَّامٍ مِنْ كُلِّ شَهْرٍ .

"Whoever keeps a dog that is not a dog used for hunting, herding livestock or guarding land, two qirats will be deducted from his reward each day."

" مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِكَلْبِ صَيْدٍ وَلاَ مَاشِيَةٍ وَلاَ أَرْضٍ فَإِنَّهُ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ قِيرَاطَانِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ " .

" أَيُّمَا امْرِئٍ أَفْلَسَ ثُمَّ وَجَدَ رَجُلٌ عِنْدَهُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِعَيْنِهَا فَهُوَ أَوْلَى بِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِهِ " .

The Prophet [SAW] said: "The perfume for men is that whose scent is apparent while its color is hidden, and the perfume for women is that whose color is apparent, while its scent is hidden."

" مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَجِيبَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَ الشَّدَائِدِ وَالْكُرَبِ فَلْيُكْثِرِ الدُّعَاءَ فِي الرَّخَاءِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِنَّ لِلَّهِ تِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ اسْمًا مِائَةً غَيْرَ وَاحِدٍ مَنْ أَحْصَاهَا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " .
قَالَ يُوسُفُ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبِيدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَسْرِقُ السَّارِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلَكِنِ التَّوْبَةُ مَعْرُوضَةٌ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . - وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا زَنَى الْعَبْدُ خَرَجَ مِنْهُ الإِيمَانُ فَكَانَ فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ كَالظُّلَّةِ فَإِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْعَمَلِ عَادَ إِلَيْهِ الإِيمَانُ " . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذَا خَرَجَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ إِلَى الإِسْلاَمِ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الزِّنَا وَالسَّرِقَةِ " مَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَأُقِيمَ عَلَيْهِ الْحَدُّ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةُ ذَنْبِهِ وَمَنْ أَصَابَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا فَسَتَرَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَهُوَ إِلَى اللَّهِ إِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَإِنْ شَاءَ غَفَرَ لَهُ " . رَوَى ذَلِكَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَعُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ وَخُزَيْمَةُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ ...

" آيَةُ الْمُنَافِقِ ثَلاَثٌ إِذَا حَدَّثَ كَذَبَ وَإِذَا وَعَدَ أَخْلَفَ وَإِذَا اؤْتُمِنَ خَانَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْعَلاَءِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَجَابِرٍ .
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سُهَيْلِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو سُهَيْلٍ هُوَ عَمُّ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَاسْمُهُ نَافِعُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَبِي عَامِرٍ الأَصْبَحِيُّ الْخَوْلاَنِيُّ .

the Messenger of Allah said: "Do no precede the month of Ramadan by fasting a day or two before it, unless it is the case of a man who normally performs some fast, then let him fast it."

" مَنْ وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ مَا بَيْنَ لَحْيَيْهِ وَشَرَّ مَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى أَبُو حَازِمٍ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ اسْمُهُ سَلْمَانُ مَوْلَى عَزَّةَ الأَشْجَعِيَّةِ وَهُوَ كُوفِيٌّ وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ الَّذِي رَوَى عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ هُوَ أَبُو حَازِمٍ الزَّاهِدُ مَدَنِيٌّ وَاسْمُهُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .

"The people of Paradise are without body hair, Murd, with Kuhl(on their eyelids), their youth does not come to an end, and their clothes do not wear out."

The Prophet (saws) as saying: Walk quickly with a funeral, for if the dead person was good it is a good condition to which you are sending him on, but it he was otherwise it is an evil of which you are riding yourselves.

Mishkat al-Masabih 1829
Abu Rafi' said God’s messenger sent a man of the B. Makhzum to collect sadaqa and he asked him to accompany him so that he might get some of it; but he refused to do so till he went to God's messenger and asked him. He went to the Prophet and asked him, and he said,
“The sadaqa is not lawful for us, and the clients of a people are treated as being of their number.” *
Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
* Abu Rafi’ had been a slave of the Prophet by whom he was set free. The point of the tradition is that the rules which apply to any people apply to their freedmen as well, and so Abu Rafi' was not entitled to receive sadaqa.
عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ رَجُلًا مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ فَقَالَ لِأَبِي رَافِعٍ: اصْحَبْنِي كَيْمَا تُصِيبُ مِنْهَا. فَقَالَ: لَا حَتَّى أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْأَلَهُ. فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ الصَّدَقَةَ لَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا وَإِنَّ مَوَالِيَ الْقَوْمِ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ

Umm Salama reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
Whenever you visit the sick or the dead, supplicate for good because angels say" Amen" to whatever you say. She added: When Abu Salama died, I went to the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and said: Messenger of Allah, Abu Salama has died. He told me to recite:" O Allah! forgive me and him (Abu Salama) and give me a better substitute than he." So I said (this), and Allah gave me in exchange Muhammad, who is better for me than him (Abu Salama).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِذَا حَضَرْتُمُ الْمَرِيضَ أَوِ الْمَيِّتَ فَقُولُوا خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ يُؤَمِّنُونَ عَلَى مَا تَقُولُونَ " . قَالَتْ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ قَدْ مَاتَ قَالَ " قُولِي اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَلَهُ وَأَعْقِبْنِي مِنْهُ عُقْبَى حَسَنَةً " . قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ فَأَعْقَبَنِي اللَّهُ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لِي مِنْهُ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Abu Hurairah said:
"I knew that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] was fasting on certain days, so I prepared some Nabidh for him to break his fast, and made it in a gourd. When evening came I brought it to him, and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I knew that you were fasting today, so I prepared this Nabidh for you to break your fast.' He said: 'Bring it to me, O Abu Hurairah.' I brought it to him, and it turned out to be something bubbling. He said: 'Take this and throw it against the wall (throw it away), for this is the drink of one who does not believe in Allah or the Last Day.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ حِصْنٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَصُومُ فِي بَعْضِ الأَيَّامِ الَّتِي كَانَ يَصُومُهَا فَتَحَيَّنْتُ فِطْرَهُ بِنَبِيذٍ صَنَعْتُهُ فِي دُبَّاءٍ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْمَسَاءُ جِئْتُهُ أَحْمِلُهَا إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّكَ تَصُومُ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ فَتَحَيَّنْتُ فِطْرَكَ بِهَذَا النَّبِيذِ . فَقَالَ " أَدْنِهِ مِنِّي يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ " . فَرَفَعْتُهُ إِلَيْهِ فَإِذَا هُوَ يَنِشُّ فَقَالَ " خُذْ هَذِهِ فَاضْرِبْ بِهَا الْحَائِطَ فَإِنَّ هَذَا شَرَابُ مَنْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَلاَ بِالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ " . وَمِمَّا احْتَجُّوا بِهِ فِعْلُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رضى الله عنه .

Abu Bakr reported:
(He called for) the barber and, pointing towards the right side of his head, said: (Start from) here, and then distributed his hair among those who were near him. He then pointed to the barber (to shave) the left side and he shaved it, and he gave (these hair) to Umm Sulaim (Allah be pleased with her). And in the narration of Abu Kuraib (the words are):" He started from the right half (of his head), and he distributed a hair or two among the people. and then (asked the barber) to shave the left side and he did similarly, and he (the Holy Prophet) said: Here is Abu Talha and he gave these (hair) to Abu Talha."
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَابْنُ، نُمَيْرٍ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالُوا أَخْبَرَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ، غِيَاثٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ أَمَّا أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ فِي رِوَايَتِهِ لِلْحَلاَّقِ " هَا " . وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْجَانِبِ الأَيْمَنِ هَكَذَا فَقَسَمَ شَعَرَهُ بَيْنَ مَنْ يَلِيهِ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ أَشَارَ إِلَى الْحَلاَّقِ وَإِلَى الْجَانِبِ الأَيْسَرِ فَحَلَقَهُ فَأَعْطَاهُ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ . وَأَمَّا فِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ فَبَدَأَ بِالشِّقِّ الأَيْمَنِ فَوَزَّعَهُ الشَّعَرَةَ وَالشَّعَرَتَيْنِ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ قَالَ بِالأَيْسَرِ فَصَنَعَ بِهِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ ثُمَّ قَالَ " هَا هُنَا أَبُو طَلْحَةَ " . فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1463
Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir:
White I was travelling with the Messenger of Allah (saws) between al-Juhfah and al-Abwa', a wind and intense darkness enveloped us, whereupon the Messenger of Allah (saws) began to seek refuge in Allah, reciting: "I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn," and "I seek refuge in the Lord of men."
He then said: Uqbah, use them when seeking refuge in Allah, for no one can use anything to compare with them for the purpose.
Uqbah added: I heard him reciting them when he led the people in prayer.

Narrated AbdurRahman ibn Safwan:
When the Messenger of Allah (saws) conquered Mecca, I said (to myself): I shall put on my clothes, and my house lay on the way, I shall watch how the Messenger of Allah (saws) behaves. So I went out. I saw that the Prophet (saws) and his Companions had come out from the Ka'bah and embraced the House (the Ka'bah) from its entrance (al-Bab) to al-Hatim. They placed their cheek on the House (the Ka'bah) while the Messenger of Allah (saws) was amongst them.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ، قَالَ لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَكَّةَ قُلْتُ لأَلْبَسَنَّ ثِيَابِي - وَكَانَتْ دَارِي عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ - فَلأَنْظُرَنَّ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْكَعْبَةِ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ وَقَدِ اسْتَلَمُوا الْبَيْتَ مِنَ الْبَابِ إِلَى الْحَطِيمِ وَقَدْ وَضَعُوا خُدُودَهُمْ عَلَى الْبَيْتِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَسْطَهُمْ .

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:
Marthad ibn AbuMarthad al-Ghanawi used to take prisoners (of war) from Mecca (to Medina). At Mecca there was a prostitute called Inaq who had illicit relations with him. (Marthad said:) I came to the Prophet (saws) and said to him: May I marry Inaq, Messenger of Allah? The narrator said: He kept silence towards me. Then the verse was revealed:"....and the adulteress none shall marry save and adulterer or an idolater." He called me and recited this (verse) to me, and said: Do not marry her.

Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab:
Malik ibn Aws al-Hadthan said: One of the arguments put forward by Umar was that he said that the Messenger of Allah (saws) received three things exclusively to himself: Banu an-Nadir, Khaybar and Fadak. The Banu an-Nadir property was kept wholly for his emergent needs, Fadak for travellers, and Khaybar was divided by the Messenger of Allah (saws) into three sections: two for Muslims, and one as a contribution for his family. If anything remained after making the contribution of his family, he divided it among the poor Emigrants.

Mishkat al-Masabih 2516
Ibn ‘Abbas said that God’s messenger appointed the following places for putting on the ihram:
Dhul Hulaifa for the people of Medina, al- Juhfa for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of the Yemen ; so these spots are for these regions and for people of other regions who come to them intending to perform the hajj and the ‘umra. The place where those who live nearer to Mecca should put on the ihram (The pilgrim dress) is where they live, and so on and so on up to the inhabitants of Mecca itself who put on the ihram in it.

'Abdallah b. ‘Adi b. Hamra’ said he saw God’s messenger standing at al-Hazwara (Taj al-'Arus gives two statements about this place, one saying it was a place at the gate of the wheat sellers, the other saying it was the market of Mecca which was later incorporated in the mosque when it was enlarged) and saying, “I swear by God that you are the best part of God’s earth and the part dearest to Him. Had I not been expelled from you I would not have gone out.”
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Abbas said:
A prostration when reciting Sad (Al-Qur’an; 38) is not one of those which are divinely commanded, but I have seen the Prophet prostrate himself when it was recited. In a version Mujahid said that he asked Ibn ‘Abbas whether he should prostrate himself when reciting Sad, whereupon he recited, “And among his progeny David and Solomon . . . so copy the guidance they received,” (Al-Qur’an; 6:84-90) and said, “Your prophet was one of those who were commanded to copy them.”
Bukhari transmitted it.
وَعَن ابْن عَبَّاس قَالَ: (سَجْدَةُ (ص)

It was narrated from `Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, you deny (Him by disbelief)` [al-Waqi`ah 56.82]: you say, ‘We were given rain by such-and-such a star.”
It was narrated from `Ali, in a marfoo’ report: `And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you` [al-Waqi`ah 56.82]. Muʼammal said: I said to Sufyan: Isra`eel narrated it in a marfoo` report (i.e., attributed to the Prophet (ﷺ). He said: Boys, boys.

Al-Bara' b. 'Azib reported:
I said prayer with the Apostle (may peace be upon him) turning towards Bait-ul-Maqdis for sixteen months till this verse of Surah Baqara wis revealed:" And wherever you are turn your faces towards it" (ii. 144). This verse was revealed when the Apostle (may peace be upon him) had said prayer. A person amongst his people passed by the people of Ansar as they were engaged in prayer. He narrated to them (this command of Allah) and they turned their faces towards the Ka'ba.

There was no Adhan on the (occasion) of Id-ul-Fitr and Id-ul-Adha. I (Ibn Juraij) said: I asked him after some time about it. He ('Ata', one of the narrators) said: Jabir b. 'Abdullah al-Ansari told me: There is neither any Adhan on Id-ul-Fitr when the Imam comes out, nor even after his coming out; their is neither lqama nor call nor anything of the sort of calling on that day and nor Iqama.

'A'isha reported (that whenever it was her turn for Allah's Messenger [may peace be upon him] to spend the night with her) he would go out towards the end of the night to al-Baqi' and say:
Peace be upon you, abode of a people who are believers. What you were promised would come to you tomorrow, you receiving it after some delay; and God willing we shall join you. O Allah, grant forgiveness to the inhabitants of Baqi' al-Gharqad. Qutaiba did not mention his words:" would come to you".

narrated that ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr said:
“A man died in
Al-
Madinah, and he was one of those who were born in Al-Madinah. The
Prophet (SAW) offered the funeral prayer for him and said: “Would
that
he had died somewhere other than his birthplace.” A man among
the
people said: “Why, O Messenger of Allah?” He said: “If a
man dies
somewhere other than his birthplace, a space will be
measured for him
in Paradise (as big as the distance) from the place
where he was born
to the place where he died.”
حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي حُيَىُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعَافِرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ مِمَّنْ وُلِدَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَقَالَ: " يَا لَيْتَهُ مَاتَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْلِدِهِ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ وَلِمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: " إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ إِذَا مَاتَ فِي غَيْرِ مَوْلِدِهِ قِيسَ لَهُ مِنْ مَوْلِدِهِ إِلَى مُنْقَطَعِ أَثَرِهِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .

!t was narrated that 'Umar bin al-Khattab رضي الله عنه said:
The wealth of Banu an-Nadeer was among the fai' that Allah bestowed upon His Messenger ﷺ, for which the Muslims made no expedition with either cavalry or camelry (cf. al-Hashr 59:6). It was only for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he used to spend from it on his family's annual expenses-and on one occasion he said: his annual
food supply -and what was left he spent on horses and weapons in preparation for jihad for the sake of Allah, may He be glorified and exalted,

It was narrated that Ya'la bin Umayyah said:
I said to 'Umar bin al Khattab رضي الله عنه , `And when you (Muslims) travel in
the land, there is no sin on you if you shorten AsSalah (the prayer) if you fear that the disbelievers may put you in
trial (attack you)` (al Nisa' 4:101]. But now the people are safe. He said: I wondered the same thing as you are
wondering, and I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about that. He said: “It is a charity that Allah has bestowed upon
you, so accept His charity.`

It was narrated from Al-Hasan that `Umar bin Al-Khattab (رضي الله عنه) wanted to stone an insane woman, but ‘Ali said to him:
You do not have the right to do that. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “The Pen has been lifted from three: from the sleeper until he wakes up, from the child until he reaches adolescence, and from the insane person until he recovers, or comes to his senses.` So `Umar (رضي الله عنه) pardoned her.

Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Said ibn al-Musayyab said, "I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said to a man from the Aslam tribe called Hazzal, 'Hazzal, had you veiled him with your cloak, it would have been better for you.' "
Yahya ibn Said said, "I related this hadith in an assembly among whom was Yazid ibn Nuaym ibn Hazzal al-Aslami. Yazid said, 'Hazzal was my grandfather. This hadith is true.' "

Malik related to me from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman that Umar ibn al-Khattab spoke about a man who went out with his wife's slave- girl on a journey and had intercourse with her and then the wife became jealous and mentioned that to Umar ibn al-Khattab. Umar questioned him about it. He said, "She gave her to me." Umar said, "Bring me a clear proof or I will stone you." Rabia added, "The wife confessed that she had given her to him."
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ خَرَجَ بِجَارِيَةٍ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ مَعَهُ فِي سَفَرٍ فَأَصَابَهَا فَغَارَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ . فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ وَهَبَتْهَا لِي . فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لَتَأْتِينِي بِالْبَيِّنَةِ أَوْ لأَرْمِيَنَّكَ بِالْحِجَارَةِ . قَالَ فَاعْتَرَفَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ أَنَّهَا وَهَبَتْهَا لَهُ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 180
Jabir bin Abdullah narrated:
"On the Day of Al-Khandaq (the battle of the Trench), Umar bin Al-Khattab came cursing the disbelievers of Quraish and said: 'O Allah's Messenger! I could not offer he Asr prayer until the sun was about to set.' The Prophet said: 'By Allah! I too have not offered the Salat.'" So he said: "We descended into Buthan, Allah's Messenger performed Wudu and we too performed Wudu. Allah's Messenger prayed Asr after the sun had set, then after it he prayed Maghrib."
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، بُنْدَارٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ وَجَعَلَ يَسُبُّ كُفَّارَ قُرَيْشٍ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا كِدْتُ أُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" وَاللَّهِ إِنْ صَلَّيْتُهَا " . قَالَ فَنَزَلْنَا بُطْحَانَ فَتَوَضَّأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتَوَضَّأْنَا فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْعَصْرَ بَعْدَ مَا غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَهَا الْمَغْرِبَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle said, "Shall I tell you of the best families among the Ansar?" They (the people) said, "Yes, O Allah's Apostle!" The Prophet said, "The best are Banu- An-Najjar, and after them are Banu `Abdil Ash-hal, and after them are Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj, and after them are Banu Sa`ida." The Prophet then moved his hand by closing his fingers and then opening them like one throwing something, and then said, "Anyhow, there is good in all the families of the Ansar. "
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَلاَ أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِ دُورِ الأَنْصَارِ ". قَالُوا بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. قَالَ " بَنُو النَّجَّارِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْخَزْرَجِ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ ". ثُمَّ قَالَ بِيَدِهِ، فَقَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ، ثُمَّ بَسَطَهُنَّ كَالرَّامِي بِيَدِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ ".

'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'as (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Four are the qualities which, when found in a person, make him a sheer hypocrite, and one who possesses one of them, possesses one characteristic of hypocrisy until he abandons it. These are: When he is entrusted with something, he betrays trust; when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he acts treacherously; and when he argues, he behaves in a very imprudent, insulting manner."

'Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
I donated a horse in the way of Allah. Its new possessor did not treat it properly. I made my mind to buy it because I thought that he would sell it at a cheap price (now that it became weak and emaciated). I asked the Prophet (PBUH) about it, whereupon he said, "Do not buy it and do not get back your charity, for one who gets back the charity is like a dog that eats its own vomit."

وعن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه قال: حملت على فرس في سبيل الله فأضاعه الذي كان عنده، فأردت أن أشتريه، وظننت أنه يبيعه برخص، فسألت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: "لا تشتره ولا تعد في صدقتك وإن أعطاكه بدرهم، فإن العائد في صدقته كالعائد في قيئه" ((متفق عليه)).
قوله: "حملت على فرس في سبيل الله" معناه: تصدقت به على بعض المجاهدين.

These are: when he is entrusted with something, he proves dishonest; when he speaks, he tells a lie; when he makes a covenant, he proves treacherous; and when he quarrels, he behaves in very imprudent, evil, insulting manner."

Hammam bin Al- Harith (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A person began to praise 'Uthman (May Allah be pleased with him), and Al-Miqdad (May Allah be pleased with him) sat upon his knees and began to throw pebbles upon the flatterer's face. 'Uthman (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "What is the matter with you?" He said: "Verily, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, 'When you see those who shower undue praises upon others throw dust upon their faces."'

وعن همام بن الحارث، عن المقداد، رضي الله عنه أم رجلا جعل يمدح عثمان رضي الله عنه ، فعمد المقداد، فجثا على ركبتيه، فجعل يحثو في وجهه الحصباء، فقال له عثمان: ما شأنك؟ فقال: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “إذا رأيتم المادحين، فاحثوا في وجوههم التراب" ((رواه مسلم)).
فهذه الأحاديث في النهي، وجاء في الإباحة أحاديث كثيرة صحيحة.
قال العلماء: وطريق الجمع بين الأحاديث أن يقال: إن كان الممدوح عنده كمال إيمان ويقين، ورياضة نفس، ومعرفة تامة بحيث لا يفتن، ولا يغتر بذلك، ولا تلعب به نفسه، فليس بحرام ولا مكروه، وإن خيف عليه شيء من هذه الأمور، كره مدحه في وجهه كراهة شديدة، وعلى هذا التفصيل تنزل الأحاديث المختلفة في ذلك. ومما جاء في الإباحة قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم لأبي بكر رضي الله عنه: “أرجو أن تكون منهم" أي من الذين يُدعون من جميع أبواب الجنة لدخولها، وفي الحديث الآخر: "لست منهم" أي: لست من الذين يُسبلون أُزرهم خيلاء. وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم لعمر رضي الله عنه: “ما رآك الشيطان سالكًا فجًا إلا سلك فجًا غير فجك” والأحاديث في الإباحة كثيرة، وقد ذكرت جملة من أطرافها في كتاب: "الأذكار".

It was narrated that Muslim bin Abi Bakrah said:
"My father used to say following every prayer: 'Allahumma inni a-udhu bika min al-kufri wal-faqri wa 'adhab al-qabr. ( O Allah, I seek refuge with You from Kufr, poverty, and the torment of the grave)' and I used to say them (these words). My father said: 'O my son, from whom did you learn this?' I said: 'From you. He said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to say them following the prayer.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ الشَّحَّامِ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ أَبِي يَقُولُ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلاَةِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ وَالْفَقْرِ وَعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ فَكُنْتُ أَقُولُهُنَّ فَقَالَ أَبِي أَىْ بُنَىَّ عَمَّنْ أَخَذْتَ هَذَا قُلْتُ عَنْكَ . قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقُولُهُنَّ فِي دُبُرِ الصَّلاَةِ .
