It was established that no maintenance is due (to a woman who was divorced with three pronouncements) in the Hadith of Fatimah (RA) daughter of Qais, which has preceded. [Reported by Muslim].

He reported the Prophet as saying when an ass which had been branded on its face passed him, “God curse the one who branded it!” Muslim transmitted it.

Hudhaifa reported God’s messenger as saying, “The devil considers food lawful for him when God’s name is not mentioned over it.” Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Sa'id reported the Prophet as saying, "No one who has been born will be alive a hundred years hence." Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Marthad al-Ghanawi reported God’s messenger as saying, “Do not sit on graves, and do not pray facing them.” Muslim transmitted it.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered Makkah on the day of its conquest and he was wearing a black turban.

Jabir b. Samura told that he heard God’s messenger say, “God called Medina Taba.”( Taj al-'Arus says the objection to the name Yathrib was owing to the fact that the root from which this name comes has the meaning of corruption. Therefore Taba, which comes from a root meaning to be good, sweet, or pure, was considered better. Other forms which have been used are Taiba, al-Mutayyaba (or al-Mutayyiba)) Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir said he heard God's messenger say, “It is not allowable for any of you to carry weapons in Mecca.” Muslim transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar said that God’s messenger hastened to Mecca on the day of sacrifice, then returned and prayed the noon prayer at Mina. Muslim transmitted it.

Al-Bara’ b. ‘Azib reported God's Messenger as saying, “When you prostrate yourself, place the palms of your hands on the ground and raise your elbows.” Muslim transmitted it.

She said, “When the Prophet prayed the two rak'as of the dawn prayer, he would talk to me if I was awake, otherwise he would lie down.” Muslim transmitted it.

She said the Prophet used to pray thirteen rak'as during the night, including the witr and two rak'as of the dawn prayer. Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha said that when the Prophet stood up at night to pray he began his prayer with two short rak'as. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Dharr reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you make soup put in a lot of water and be mindful of your neighbours.” Muslim transmitted it.

He reported the Prophet as saying about one who comes three days later on the game he has shot, “Eat it, provided it has not a stench.” Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir told that God’s messenger forbade striking the face and branding on the face. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "Eating any fanged beast of prey is prohibited." Muslim transmitted it.

Anas told that he saw the Prophet squatting and eating dates. A version says he was eating some quickly. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God's Messenger as saying, “An infidel and the one who killed him will never be brought together in hell.”* * The meaning is probably that one who kills an infidel in the course of jihad will on that account have his sins forgiven, and will therefore not go to hell where the infidel inevitably goes. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Dharr told that he asked God's messenger whether he had seen his Lord and received the reply, "He is Light; how can I see Him?" Muslim transmitted it.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do not eat with the left hand, for the devil eats with the left hand." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "One or two sucks do not make (marriage) unlawful." [Muslim reported it].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "He who shelters a stray (animal) is astray himself if he does not make it known." [Reported by Muslim].

The Prophet (SAW) used to recite in Jumu'ah prayer Surat al-Jumu'ah and al-Munafiqun. [Reported by Muslim].

The Prophet (SAW) prayed for rain pointing the back of his palms to the sky. [Reported by Muslim].

‘A'isha said she never saw God’s messenger fasting during the first ten days of Dhul Hijja. Muslim transmitted it.

Nubaisha al-Hudhali reported God’s messenger as saying, “The days of at-tashriq* are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance of God.” *The three days after the sacrifice on the tenth of Dhul Hijja. The name is said to have been given because the flesh of the victims is cut into strips and put in the sun to dry; but other explanations are also given. Muslim transmitted it.

Ma'mar b. Abdallah told that he used to hear God’s Messenger say, "Food for food, like for like.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Samura reported God's Messenger as saying, “Do not swear by idols or by your fathers.” Muslim transmitted it.

Salama b. al-Akwa' reported God’s Messenger as saying, “He who draws a sword against us does not belong to us.” Muslim transmitted it.

The conduct of the Prophet (PBUH) was entirely according to the Qur'an.

[Muslim in a long Hadith].

The sandals of the Prophet (saws) had two thongs.

‘Amr said “I heard from Abu Wa’il a tradition which surprised me, he then narrated the tradition to the same effect (as mentioned before).

"And the soil of the earth had been made for us as a means with which to purify ourselves (for prayer), when we cannot find water." Related by Muslim.

Ibn Sirin said, “This knowledge is a religion, so consider from whom you receive your religion.” Muslim transmitted it.

"The Khumus that is for Allah and His Messenger was for the Prophet and His relatives; they did not take anything from the Sadaqah. The Prophet was allocated one-fifth of the Khumus; his relatives were allocated one-fifth of the Khumus; the same was allocated to orphans, the poor and they wayfarers." (Da 'if) Abu Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasi) said: Allah, the Majestic is he and Praised, said: "And know that whatever of spoils of war that you may gain, verily, one-fifth of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger, and to the near relatives ( of the Messenger (Muhammad)), (and also) the orphans, Al-Masakin (the Poor) and the wayfarer." His, the Mighty and Sublime, saying to Allah starts the speech since everything is of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, saying to Allah starts the speech since everything is of Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. And perhaps He only oened His speech about the Fay and the Khumus, mentioning Himself, because that is the noblest of earnings. And He did not attribute Sadaqah to Himself, the Mighty and Sublime, because that is the dirt of people. And Allah knows best. It was said that something should be taken form the spoils of war and placed inside the Kabah, and this is the share that is for Allah, the Mighty and Sublime. The share of the Messenger is to be given to the imam to buy horses and weapons, and to give to whomever he thinks will benefit the people of Islam, and to the people of Hadith, Knowledge, Fiqh and the Quran. The share that is for near relatives should be given to Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttablib, rich and poor alike, or it was said that it should be given to the poor among them and not to the rich, such as orphans and wayfarers. This is the view that is more appropriate in my view, and Allah knows best. And the young and the old, male and female, are equal in that, because Allah, the mighty and sublime, has allocated it to them and the Messenger of Allah distributed it among them, and there is nothing in the Hadith to indicate that he preferred some of them over others. And there is no scholarly dispute, as far as we know, to suggest that if a man bequeaths one-third of his wealth to such a tribe, to be distributed out among them equally, that it should be done otherwise, unless the giver stipulated otherwise. And Allah is the source of strength. And (there is) a share for the orphans among the Muslims, and a share for the poor among the Muslims, and a share for the wayfarers among the ...

Ibn ‘Abbas said that when an eclipse of the sun took place, God’s Messenger prayed performing eight bowings and four prostrations. There is a similar tradition from 'Ali. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Mas'ud reported God’s messenger as saying, “When someone spends on his family seeking his reward for it from God, it counts to him as sadaqa.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He told that God’s messenger sent to Ubayy b. Ka'b a physician who cut a vein of his and cauterized it. Muslim transmitted it.

`Abdallah b. Mas'ud reported God's messenger as saying, "The last hour will come only when people are wicked." Muslim transmitted it.

The Prophet (saw) performed ablution and passed wet hands on his forelock, over the turban and over the two leather socks. [ Reported by Muslim].

Ibn Mas'ud (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, insulting a Muslim is disobedience to Allah, and fighting with him is Kufr (disbelief).” Agreed upon.

He said that when God’s messenger was asked about fasting on Monday he said, “On it I was born and on it the revelation was first sent down to me.”* *The meaning seems to be that as this day is so distinguished, one could not choose a better one. Muslim transmitted it.

“We were with the Prophet (saw) – seven or eight or nine of us – and he said: ‘Will you not give pledge to the Messenger of Allah?’ So we stretched forth our hands and someone said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, we have already given you our pledge. On what basis shall we give this pledge?’ He said: ‘(On the basis that) you will worship Allah and not associate anything with Him, you will establish the five daily prayers, you will listen and obey’ – then he spoke some words under his breath – ‘and you will not ask the people for anything.’ He said: ‘I saw some of that group. If he dropped his whip he would not ask anyone to pick it up for him.’”

Abut Tufail said he saw God’s messenger going round the House, touching the corner with a crooked stick which he had, and kissing the crooked stick. Muslim transmitted it.

‘Uthman told on the authority of God’s messenger that when a man has a complaint in his eyes while he is in the sacred state, he should apply aloes to them. Muslim transmitted it.

He said that the Prophet led him and his mother, or his maternal aunt, in prayer, adding, “He set me at his right and set the woman behind us." Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir reported the Prophet as saying, "A cow serves for seven, and a camel serves for seven.” Muslim and Abu Dawud transmitted it, the wording being the latter’s.

Jabir told that God’s messenger said to him, “There should be bedding for a man, bedding for his wife, and a third for a guest, but a fourth is for the devil.”(It is explainedt that to have more than is necessary suggests fondness for worldly goods, or a desire to make some display. Such practices are blameworthy, and what is blameworthy is connected with the devil). Muslim transmitted it.

Buraida reported the Prophet as saying, "He who plays backgammon is as though he had dipped his hand in a pig’s flesh and blood.” Muslim transmitted it.

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you shoot your arrow and the animal goes out of your sight, eat it when you come upon it, provided it has not a stench.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Jabir said the Prophet ordered people to lick their fingers and the dish, saying, “You do not know in what portion blessing lies.” Muslim transmitted it.

I have given God’s messenger in this cup of mine all kinds of drink: honey, nabidh, water and milk. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The angels do not go along with a travelling company in which there is a dog or a bell." Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir b. Samura told that he heard the Prophet say, "Before the last hour there will be great liars, so beware of them." Muslim transmitted it.

Anas reported God's messenger as saying, "The dajjal will be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls." Muslim transmitted it.

He told that Ibn Sayyad asked the Prophet about the soil of paradise and that he replied it was a white, sifted flour and pure musk. Muslim transmitted it.

(1) with no jealousy, rancour, deceit, or hatred; (2) in trepidation, being on their guard; (3) with complete trust, as birds trust God for their food. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira told that when God's messenger was asked to invoke a curse on the polytheists, he replied, "I was not sent as one given to cursing; I was sent only as a mercy." Muslim transmitted it.

Allah’s Mesenger (saw) said: “The water (of the ghusl) is due to the water (of sexual emission)”. [Reported by Muslim]

Umm Salamah (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The transgressing party will kill 'Ammar ('Ammar bin Yasir).” Related by Muslim.

Abu Dawud narrated a similar hadith that reads, "The slaughtering (of an animal) by any Muslim is Halal (lawful) whether or not he mentioned Allah's name over it." Its narrators are reliable.

"The option to buy a partner's share in property is applicable to everything which is shared, whether land, a dwelling or a garden and it is not lawful to sell before informing one's partner."

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The earnings of a cupper (Hajjam) are impure." [Reported by Muslim].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Offer Witr prayer before it is morning." [Reported by Muslim].

We were commanded to bring out on 'Eidul-Fitr and 'Eidul-Adha, the young women and the menstruating women to participate in the goodness and supplications of the Muslims. However, the menstruating women would refrain from the (actual) place of prayer. [Agreed upon].

‘Abdallah b. ‘Abbas said that he heard God’s messenger say, “When a skin is tanned it is pure." Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Sa'id and Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, “Recite to those of you who are dying, ‘There is no god but God. ’ ” Muslim transmitted it.

He said that God’s Messenger forbade muhaqala, muzabana, mukhabara, mu'awama (Selling a year’s harvest before the crop has grown, or selling the fruit on one’s palm-trees two or three years ahead.) and thunya (An exception the amount of which is not accurately known.), but gave licence for ‘araya (Plural of ‘ariya. A palm-tree assigned by its owner to another who is in need, for him to eat its fruit for a year. It is said that a poor man who had no money to buy fresh dates might buy the fruit on a palm-tree for dry dates.) Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir said that God’s Messenger forbade hiring a camel to cover a she-camel and selling water and land to be tilled (This is really mukhabara). Muslim transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Every fault but a debt will be forgiven to a martyr.” Muslim transmitted it.

O Muslim women, never belittle any gift you give your neighbour even if it is a hoof of a sheep".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "O Muslim women! No one of you should consider insignificant (a gift) to give to her neighbour even if it is (a gift of) the trotters of a sheep".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Reviling a Muslim is Fusuq (disobedience of Allah) and killing him is (tantamount to) disbelief."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

"The wealth of Banu An-Nadir was among the Fay' that Allah bestowed upon His Messenger, in cases where the Muslims did not go out on and expedition with horses and camels. From it he kept for himself food for one year, and what was left he spent on cavalry and weapons equipment for the cause of Allah."

"A free man should not be subjected to retaliation in return for a slave."

"They would not recite Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim, neither in the beginning of the recitation nor at the end of it."

Qatadah reported on the authority of Al Hasan the uttering of the words “Your matter is in your hand” amounts to three pronouncements of divorce.

"I heard Sufyan Ath-Thawri narrating this Hadith. He said: 'A man came to the Prophet [SAW] and said: "What if a man comes to me and wants to take my wealth?" He said: "Remind him of Allah." He said: "What if he pays no heed?" He said: "Seek the help of the Muslims around you against him." He said: "What if there are no Muslims around me?" He said: "Seek the help of the ruler against him." He said: "What if the ruler is far away from me?" He said: "Fight to defend your wealth until you either become one of the martyrs of the Hereafter, or you protect your wealth (successfully)."

"A deceased man would be brought to the Messenger of Allah while a debt was due upon him. So he would say: 'Has he left anything to pay off his debt?' If he was told that he had left something to pay it then he would pray (the funeral prayer) for him. Otherwise he would tell the Muslims: 'Pray for your companion.' So when Allah granted him the victories, he stood and said: 'I am more worthy in the case of the believers than they themselves are. So whoever among the believers dies and leaves a debt behind, then it is up to me to fulfill it. And whoever leaves wealth behind, then it is for his heirs.'"

‘Amr b. Huraith said the Prophet preached on Friday wearing a black turban the ends of which he let hang between his shoulders. Muslim transmitted it.

Allah’s Messenger (saw) used to mention Allah’s Name (praise Him) at all times. [Reported by Muslim and Al-Bukhari recorded it as Mu’allaq (suspended)].

A’ishah (RAA) narrated, ‘By Allah the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) offered funeral prayer in the mosque for the sons of Baida (Sahl and Suhail).’ Related by Muslim

The Prophet (saws) forbade that a man should drink while standing.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Two characteristics are suspended on the necks of those who call the adhan for the Muslims, their fasting and their prayer.” Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “No woman who has used incense maybe present with us at the last evening prayer.” Muslim transmitted it.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “When any of you eats he should eat with his right hand, and when he drinks he should drink with his right hand.” Muslim transmitted it.

Ka'b b. Malik said that God's messenger used to eat with three fingers and lick his hand before wiping it. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "None of you must drink standing, and if anyone forgets he must vomit." Muslim transmitted it.

“There is a medicine for every disease, and when the medicine is applied to the disease it is cured by God’s permission.” Muslim transmitted it.

He told that when Sa'id b. Mu'adh was shot in the median vein of his arm the Prophet with his own hand cauterized it with a broad arrow head. Afterwards it swelled up and he cauterized it a second time. Muslim transmitted it.

He told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “If anyone knows how to shoot and gives it up he does not belong to us,” or, “he has been disobedient.” Muslim transmitted it.

Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (rad): The Prophet (saw) used to bath with the water left over by Maimuna (rad) [Muslim reported it].

Jabir (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “When one of you is in charge of shrouding his brother, he should give him the best shroud he can (i.e. clean, covering the whole body, but not necessarily expensive as this is disliked.)” Related by Muslim.

'A’ishah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The most despicable amongst people in the sight of Allah is the ruthless argumentative (person).” Related by Muslim.
