Sunan Abi Dawud 2464
'Aishah said:
When the Messenger of Allah (saws) intended to observe I'tikaf, he prayed the fajr prayer and then entered his place of seclusion. Once he intended to observe I'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan. She said: He ordered to pitch a tent for him, and it was pitched. She said: The other wives of the Prophet (saws) also ordered to pitch tents for them and they were pitched. When he offered the fajr prayer, he saw the tents, and said: What is this ? Did you intend to do an act of virtue ? She said: He then ordered to demolish his tent, and it was demolished. Then his wives also ordered to demolish their tents and they were demolished. He then postponed I'tikaf till the first ten days, that is of Shawwal.
Abu Dawud said: This tradition has been transmitted by Ibn Ishaq and al-Auza'i from Yahya b. Sa'id in a similar manner, and Malik narrated it from Yahya b. Sa'id, saying: He observed I'tikaf during twenty days of Shawwal.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَيَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ مُعْتَكَفَهُ . قَالَتْ وَإِنَّهُ أَرَادَ مَرَّةً أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ . قَالَتْ فَأَمَرَ بِبِنَائِهِ فَضُرِبَ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ أَمَرْتُ بِبِنَائِي فَضُرِبَ . قَالَتْ وَأَمَرَ غَيْرِي مِنْ أَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِبِنَائِهِ فَضُرِبَ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى الْفَجْرَ نَظَرَ إِلَى الأَبْنِيَةِ فَقَالَ
" مَا هَذِهِ آلْبِرَّ تُرِدْنَ " . قَالَتْ فَأَمَرَ بِبِنَائِهِ فَقُوِّضَ وَأَمَرَ أَزْوَاجُهُ بِأَبْنِيَتِهِنَّ فَقُوِّضَتْ ثُمَّ أَخَّرَ الاِعْتِكَافَ إِلَى الْعَشْرِ الأُوَلِ يَعْنِي مِنْ شَوَّالٍ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ رَوَاهُ ابْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَالأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ نَحْوَهُ وَرَوَاهُ مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ اعْتَكَفَ عِشْرِينَ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ .

The Prophet (saws) said: When a man has two wives and he is inclined to one of them, he will come on the Day of resurrection with a side hanging down.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، سَمِعَ سُفْيَانَ، أَخْبَرَنَا سَالِمٌ أَبُو النَّضْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُمَيْرًا، مَوْلَى أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ، قَالَتْ شَكَّ النَّاسُ فِي صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ، فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ بِإِنَاءٍ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ فَشَرِبَ. فَكَانَ سُفْيَانُ رُبَّمَا قَالَ شَكَّ النَّاسُ فِي صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ. فَإِذَا وُقِفَ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ هُوَ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ.

" لاَ يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لأْوَاءِ الْمَدِينَةِ وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلاَّ كُنْتُ لَهُ شَفِيعًا أَوْ شَهِيدًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَسُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ وَسُبَيْعَةَ الأَسْلَمِيَّةِ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَصَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ أَخُو سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ .

the Prophet said: "Whoever died while he had a month to fast, then a needy person should be fed on his behalf in place of every day."

" مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامُ شَهْرٍ فَلْيُطْعِمْ عَنْهُ مَكَانَ كُلِّ يَوْمٍ مِسْكِينًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مَرْفُوعًا إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَالصَّحِيحُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مَوْقُوفٌ قَوْلُهُ . وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ يُصَامُ عَنِ الْمَيِّتِ . وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ قَالاَ إِذَا كَانَ عَلَى الْمَيِّتِ نَذْرُ صِيَامٍ يَصُومُ عَنْهُ وَإِذَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاءُ رَمَضَانَ أَطْعَمَ عَنْهُ . وَقَالَ مَالِكٌ وَسُفْيَانُ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ لاَ يَصُومُ أَحَدٌ عَنْ أَحَدٍ . قَالَ وَأَشْعَثُ هُوَ ابْنُ سَوَّارٍ . وَمُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ عِنْدِي ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى .

Would you be happy if you went back to your vessels and found that what was in them had been taken away? Do you think that is fair?' They said: 'No.' He said: 'This is like that.' We said: 'What do you think if we are in need of food and drink?' He said: 'Eat but do not carry any away: drink but do not carry any away."'
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ سَلِيطِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطُّهَوِيِّ، عَنْ ذُهَيْلِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ شَمَّاخٍ الطُّهَوِيِّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فِي سَفَرٍ إِذْ رَأَيْنَا إِبِلاً مَصْرُورَةً بِعِضَاهِ الشَّجَرِ فَثُبْنَا إِلَيْهَا فَنَادَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَرَجَعْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ هَذِهِ الإِبِلَ لأَهْلِ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ هُوَ قُوتُهُمْ وَيُمْنُهُمْ بَعْدَ اللَّهِ أَيَسُرُّكُمْ لَوْ رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَى مَزَاوِدِكُمْ فَوَجَدْتُمْ مَا فِيهَا قَدْ ذُهِبَ بِهِ أَتُرَوْنَ ذَلِكَ عَدْلاً " . قَالُوا لاَ . قَالَ " فَإِنَّ هَذَا كَذَلِكَ " . قُلْنَا أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنِ احْتَجْنَا إِلَى الطَّعَامِ وَالشَّرَابِ فَقَالَ " كُلْ وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ وَاشْرَبْ وَلاَ تَحْمِلْ " .

Musnad Ahmad 304
It was narrated that Anas bin Seereen said:
I asked Ibn `Umar about his wife whom he divorced. He said: I divorced her when she was menstruating, and I told ‘Umar about that, and he told the Prophet (ﷺ) , who said: `Tell him to take her back, then when she becomes pure, he may divorce her when she is pure.” He said: So I took her back, then I divorced her when she was pure. I said: Was that divorce that you gave her when she was menstruating counted as such?` He said: Why wouldn`t I count it? It must be counted even if I failed and acted foolishly.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ طَلَاقِكَ، امْرَأَتَكَ قَالَ طَلَّقْتُهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَذَكَرَهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا فَإِذَا طَهُرَتْ فَلْيُطَلِّقْهَا فِي طُهْرِهَا قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ هَلْ اعْتَدَدْتَ بِالَّتِي طَلَّقْتَهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ قَالَ فَمَا لِي لَا أَعْتَدُّ بِهَا وَإِنْ كُنْتُ قَدْ عَجَزْتُ وَاسْتَحْمَقْتُ.

Mishkat al-Masabih 3713
Abu Dharr told that God’s Messenger said to him for six days, “Comprehend, Abu Dharr, what will be said to you afterwards.” Then when the seventh day came he said, “I counsel you to observe fear of God both secretly and openly; when you do wrong do a good deed; do not ask anyone for anything, even if your whip falls;* do not accept a trust; and do not give a decision between two people.”
Ahmad.
* This means that help is to be asked only from God and that one should not ask another human being for even the smallest help.
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ اعْقِلْ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَا يُقَالُ لَكَ بَعْدُ» فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْيَوْمُ السَّابِعُ قَالَ: «أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللَّهِ فِي سِرِّ أَمْرِكَ وَعَلَانِيَتِهِ وَإِذَا أَسَأْتَ فَأَحْسِنْ وَلَا تَسْأَلَنَّ أَحَدًا شَيْئًا وَإِنْ سَقَطَ سَوْطُكَ وَلَا تَقْبِضْ أَمَانَةً وَلَا تَقْضِ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ»

Mishkat al-Masabih 5936
'Amr b. Akhtab al-Ansari said:
One day God's messenger led us in the dawn prayer, and mounting the pulpit addressed us till the time for the noon prayer came. He then descended and prayed, after which he mounted the pulpit and addressed us till the time for the afternoon prayer came. He then descended and prayed, after which he mounted the pulpit till the sun set. He informed us of what is to happen up to the day of resurrection, and the one of us who knows most is the one who committed most to memory.
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَن عَمْرو بن أخطَب الْأنْصَارِيّ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمًا الْفجْر وَصعد الْمِنْبَرِ فَخَطَبَنَا حَتَّى حَضَرَتِ الظُّهْرُ فَنَزَلَ فَصَلَّى ثمَّ صعِد الْمِنْبَر فَخَطَبَنَا حَتَّى حَضَرَتِ الْعَصْرُ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ حَتَّى غَرَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَأَخْبَرَنَا بِمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَأَعْلَمُنَا أحفظنا. رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1268
Al-Fadil ibn Muslim reported that his father said, "When 'Ali,
may Allah be pleased with him, went out through the Bab al-Qasr, he saw
some backgammon players. He took them and locked them up from morning to
night. Some of them he only locked up for half the day. Those he locked
up until night were those who used silver. Those he locked up for half
the day were those who played it. He also commanded that they should not
be greeted."

Mishkat al-Masabih 2120
Abū Umāma said he heard God’s messenger say, “Recite the Qur’ān, for on the day of resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite it. Recite the two shining ones, Baqara and sūra Āl Imrān (Qur’ān, 2 and 3). for on the day of resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks* pleading for those who recite them. Recite sūra al-Baqara, for using it produces blessing and abandoning it produces regret, and the slothful are unable to recite it.”
*The alternative may indicate that the transmitter was not sure which word was used, “clouds” or "shades”.

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم يَقُول: «اقْرَءُوا الْقُرْآنَ فَإِنَّهُ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَفِيعًا لِأَصْحَابِهِ اقْرَءُوا الزَّهْرَاوَيْنِ الْبَقَرَةَ وَسُورَةَ آلِ عِمْرَانَ فَإِنَّهُمَا تَأْتِيَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَمَامَتَانِ أَوْ كَأَنَّهُمَا غَيَايَتَانِ أَو فِرْقَانِ مِنْ طَيْرٍ صَوَافَّ تُحَاجَّانِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِهِمَا اقْرَءُوا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ فَإِنَّ أَخْذَهَا بَرَكَةٌ وَتَرْكَهَا حَسْرَةٌ وَلَا تستطيعها البطلة» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Mishkat al-Masabih 2302
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying that if anyone says a hundred times in a day, “There is no god but God alone who has no partner, to whom dominion belongs, to whom praise is due, who is omnipotent”, he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred blessings recorded for him, a hundred evil deeds obliterated from him; it will be a protection for him from the devil all that day till evening, and no one will bring anything more excellent than he brings, except a man who has done more than he has.

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسلم:

Sahih Muslim 804 a
Abu Umama said he heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say:
Recite the Qur'an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite It. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqara and Surah Al 'Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Surah al-Baqara, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it. (Mu'awiya said: It has been conveyed to me that here Batala means magicians.)

It was
narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:
“The Messenger of
Allah
(saw) sent us, (we were) three hundred men, carrying our provisions on our
necks. Our provisions ran out until there would be for (every) man
among us one date (a day).” Then it was said: “O Abu ‘Abdullah,
how
can one date satisfy a man?” He said: “When we no longer had
it, we
realized how much it was worth. Then we came to the sea and
found a
whale that had been thrown up by the sea, and we ate from it
for
eighteen days.”
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَنَحْنُ ثَلاَثُمِائَةٍ نَحْمِلُ أَزْوَادَنَا عَلَى رِقَابِنَا فَفَنِيَ أَزْوَادُنَا حَتَّى كَانَ يَكُونُ لِلرَّجُلِ مِنَّا تَمْرَةٌ . فَقِيلَ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَيْنَ تَقَعُ التَّمْرَةُ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ وَجَدْنَا فَقْدَهَا حِينَ فَقَدْنَاهَا وَأَتَيْنَا الْبَحْرَ فَإِذَا نَحْنُ بِحُوتٍ قَدْ قَذَفَهُ الْبَحْرُ فَأَكَلْنَا مِنْهُ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا .

Musnad Ahmad 1119
It was narrated from Shuraih bin Hani’ that He asked `A`ishah (رضي الله عنها) about wiping over the khuffain (leather slippers). She said:
Ask ’Ali (رضي الله عنه) about that, for he used to go out on campaign with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). So he asked him and he said: `For the traveller, three days and nights; for one who is not travelling, one day and night.` It was said to Muhammad: Did he attribute it to the Prophet (ﷺ)” He said: He thought that it was marfoo` [attributed to the Prophet (ﷺ)] but he was afraid to say so.

Zaynab said, "I went to the house of Zaynab bint Jahsh, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when her brother had died. She called for perfume and put some on and said, 'By Allah! I have no need of perfume, but I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, 'It is not halal for a woman who trusts in Allah and the Last Day to abstain from adornment in mourning for someone who has died for more than three nights, except for four months and ten days for a husband.' "
قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ ثُمَّ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ تُوُفِّيَ أَخُوهَا فَدَعَتْ بِطِيبٍ فَمَسَّتْ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ مَا لِي بِالطِّيبِ حَاجَةٌ غَيْرَ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" لاَ يَحِلُّ لاِمْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيْتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثِ لَيَالٍ إِلاَّ عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا " .

Ibn 'Umar (May Allah bepleased with them) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should not oppress him nor should he hand him over to (his satan or to his self which is inclined to evil). Whoever fulfills the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever removes the troubles of his brother, Allah will remove one of his troubles on the Day of Resurrection; and whoever covers up the fault of a Muslim, Allah will cover up his fault on the Day of Resurrection".

وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
"المسلم أخو المسلم، لا يظلمه، ولايسلمه، من كان في حاجة أخيه كان الله في حاجته، ومن فرج عن مسلم كربة فرج الله عنه بها كربة من كرب يوم القيامة، ومن ستر مسلمًا ستره الله يوم القيامة" ((متفق عليه)) .

Sahih al-Bukhari 313
Narrated Um-`Atiya:
We were forbidden to mourn for a dead person for more than three days except in the case of a husband for whom mourning was allowed for four months and ten days. (During that time) we were not allowed to put kohl (Antimony eye power) in our eyes or to use perfumes or to put on colored clothes except a dress made of `Asr (a kind of Yemen cloth, very coarse and rough). We were allowed very light perfumes at the time of taking a bath after menses and also we were forbidden to go with the funeral procession .
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ـ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَوْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ ـ قَالَتْ كُنَّا نُنْهَى أَنْ نُحِدَّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ، إِلاَّ عَلَى زَوْجٍ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا، وَلاَ نَكْتَحِلَ وَلاَ نَتَطَيَّبَ وَلاَ نَلْبَسَ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا إِلاَّ ثَوْبَ عَصْبٍ، وَقَدْ رُخِّصَ لَنَا عِنْدَ الطُّهْرِ إِذَا اغْتَسَلَتْ إِحْدَانَا مِنْ مَحِيضِهَا فِي نُبْذَةٍ مِنْ كُسْتِ أَظْفَارٍ، وَكُنَّا نُنْهَى عَنِ اتِّبَاعِ الْجَنَائِزِ. قَالَ رَوَاهُ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Narrated Abu Musa:
The Prophet said, "The example of Muslims, Jews and Christians is like the example of a man who employed laborers to work for him from morning till night. They worked till midday and they said, 'We are not in need of your reward.' So the man employed another batch and said to them, 'Complete the rest of the day and yours will be the wages I had fixed (for the first batch). They worked until the time of the `Asr prayer and said, 'Whatever we have done is for you.' He employed another batch. They worked for the rest of the day till sunset, and they received the wages of the two former batches."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَثَلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْيَهُودِ وَالنَّصَارَى كَمَثَلِ رَجُلٍ اسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا يَعْمَلُونَ لَهُ عَمَلاً إِلَى اللَّيْلِ، فَعَمِلُوا إِلَى نِصْفِ النَّهَارِ، فَقَالُوا لاَ حَاجَةَ لَنَا إِلَى أَجْرِكَ، فَاسْتَأْجَرَ آخَرِينَ فَقَالَ أَكْمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِكُمْ، وَلَكُمُ الَّذِي شَرَطْتُ، فَعَمِلُوا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ حِينَ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ قَالُوا لَكَ مَا عَمِلْنَا. فَاسْتَأْجَرَ قَوْمًا فَعَمِلُوا بَقِيَّةَ يَوْمِهِمْ حَتَّى غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَاسْتَكْمَلُوا أَجْرَ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ ".

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2482
It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:
"If Allah gives a person wealth and he does not pay Zakah on it, his wealth will appear to him on the Day of Resurrection as a bald-heated Shuja'a with two dots above its eyes. It will take hold of the corners of his mouth on the Day of Resurrection and will say: 'I am your wealth, I am your hoarded treasure.' The he recited this verse: 'And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them of His Bounty (wealth) and think that it is good for them (and so they do not pay the obligatory Zakah)."'
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَشْيَبُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مَالاً فَلَمْ يُؤَدِّ زَكَاتَهُ مُثِّلَ لَهُ مَالُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شُجَاعًا أَقْرَعَ لَهُ زَبِيبَتَانِ يَأْخُذُ بِلِهْزِمَتَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيَقُولُ أَنَا مَالُكَ أَنَا كَنْزُكَ " . ثُمَّ تَلاَ هَذِهِ الآيَةَ { وَلاَ يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ } الآيَةَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2317
It was narrated from 'Ata from Ibn 'Abbas:
concerning this verse "And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskin (poor person) (for every day)." That for those who can fast with difficulty means they find it hard; to feed a Miskin means feeding one poor person for each day. But whoever does good of his own accord means feeding another poor person. This is not abrogated, and it is bette for him. And: that "you fast is better for you" means there is no concession regarding this except for those who are not able to fast, or who are incurably sick.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ يُطِيقُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ } يُطِيقُونَهُ يُكَلَّفُونَهُ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ وَاحِدٍ { فَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا } طَعَامُ مِسْكِينٍ آخَرَ لَيْسَتْ بِمَنْسُوخَةٍ { فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ وَأَنْ تَصُومُوا خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ } لاَ يُرَخَّصُ فِي هَذَا إِلاَّ لِلَّذِي لاَ يُطِيقُ الصِّيَامَ أَوْ مَرِيضٍ لاَ يُشْفَى .

'A’isha, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be well pleased with her), said:
"The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to come to me and say: “Do you have something for lunch?” I would say: “No,” so he would say: “I am fasting.” When he came to me one day, I said: “O Messenger of Allah, we have been given a gift!” He said: “What is it?” I said: “It is a meal of dates mixed with butter and curds.” He said: “As for me,
I began the day fasting.” But then he ate.”
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْتِينِي فَيَقُولُ: أَعِنْدَكِ غَدَاءٌ؟ فَأَقُولُ: لا قَالَتْ: فَيَقُولُ: إِنِّي صَائِمٌ قَالَتْ: فَأَتَانِي يَوْمًا، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهُ أُهْدِيَتْ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ، قَالَ: وَمَا هِيَ؟ قُلْتُ: حَيْسٌ، قَالَ: أَمَا إِنِّي أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِمًا، قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ أَكَلَ.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1694
Narrated 'Urwah Al-Bariqi:
That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Goodness will remain in the forelocks of horses until the Day of Judgement: (They bring about) Rewards and spoils of war."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Ibn 'Umar, Abu Sa'eed, Jarir, Abu Hurairah, Asma' bin Yazid, Al-Mughira bin Shu'bah, and Jabir.
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. 'Urwah is Ibn Al-Ja'd Al-Bariqi, and they say he is 'Urwah bin Al-Ja'd. Ahmad bin Hanbal said: "The Fiqh of this Hadith is that Jihad is with every Imam until the Day of Judgement."

" الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَجَرِيرٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ يَزِيدَ وَالْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ وَجَابِرٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَعُرْوَةُ هُوَ ابْنُ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ الْبَارِقِيُّ وَيُقَالُ هُوَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ . قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ وَفِقْهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنَّ الْجِهَادَ مَعَ كُلِّ إِمَامٍ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ .

Mus'ab b. Sa'd reported that his father told him that he had been in the company of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) that he said:
Is one amongst you powerless to get one thousand virtues every day. Amongst those who had been sitting there, one asked: How one amongst us can get one thousand virtues every day? He said: Recite:" Hallowed be Allah" one hundred times for (by reciting them) one thousand virtues are recorded (to your credit) and one tbousand vices are blotted out.

أَحَدُنَا أَلْفَ حَسَنَةٍ قَالَ " يُسَبِّحُ مِائَةَ تَسْبِيحَةٍ فَيُكْتَبُ لَهُ أَلْفُ حَسَنَةٍ أَوْ يُحَطُّ عَنْهُ أَلْفُ خَطِيئَةٍ
" .

Abu Al-Khair said, "As-Sanabih, I asked (me), 'When did you migrate?' I (i.e. Abu Al-Khair) said, 'We went out from Yemen as emigrants and arrived at Al-Juhfa, and there came a rider whom I asked about the news. The rider said: We buried the Prophet five days ago." I asked (As-Sanabihi), 'Did you hear anything about the night of Qadr?' He replied, 'Bilal, the Mu'adh-dhin of the Prophet informed me that it is on one of the seven nights of the last ten days (of Ramadan).
حَدَّثَنَا أَصْبَغُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنِ الصُّنَابِحِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَهُ مَتَى هَاجَرْتَ قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مِنَ الْيَمَنِ مُهَاجِرِينَ، فَقَدِمْنَا الْجُحْفَةَ، فَأَقْبَلَ رَاكِبٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ الْخَبَرَ فَقَالَ دَفَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُنْذُ خَمْسٍ. قُلْتُ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ شَيْئًا قَالَ نَعَمْ أَخْبَرَنِي بِلاَلٌ مُؤَذِّنُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ فِي السَّبْعِ فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2302
‘Umm Athiyah reported the Prophet(saws) as saying “A woman must not observe mourning for more than three (days) except for four months and ten days in the case of a husband and she must not wear a dyed garment except one of the types made of dyed yarn or apply collyrium or touch perfume except for a little costus or azfar when she has been purified after her menstrual courses.
The narrator Ya’qub mentioned the words “except washed clothes” instead of the words “one of the types made of dyed yarn”. Ya’qub also added “She must not apply Henna”

Mishkat al-Masabih 2651
‘A’isha said she was applying to God’s messenger a perfume containing musk before he put on the ihram, and before he went round the House on the day of sacrifice.

Mishkat al-Masabih 635
Concerning God’s words, “The recitation of the dawn is witnessed,” (Al-Qur’an, 17:78). Abu Huraira quoted the Prophet as saying, "The angels of the night and the angels of the day are present at it.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: (إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا)
قَالَ: «تَشْهَدُهُ مَلَائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 4155
Ibn ‘Abbas told that God’s messenger sacrificed a ram on the seventh day for both al-Hasan and al-Husain.
Abu Dawud transmitted it. Nasa’i says two rams each.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَقَّ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ كَبْشًا كَبْشًا. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَعِنْدَ النَّسَائِيِّ: كبشين كبشين

Mishkat al-Masabih 5481
Abu Bakra reported the Prophet as saying, "The terror of the antichrist[*] will not enter Medina, which will on that day have seven gates with two angels at each gate."
*i.e., the dajjal

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, said, "On the Day of Rising, retaliation will
be taken from anyone who gives a beating."

Abu Hurayrah reported the Messenger of Allah (saws) as saying, "if a thorn pricks a Muslim in this world and he hopes for the reward against it then Allah forgives him his sins on the day of Resurrection".
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُشَاكُ شَوْكَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا يَحْتَسِبُهَا، إِلاَّ قُصَّ بِهَا مِنْ خَطَايَاهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.

'Abdullah Ibn Mas’ud (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The first issues to be judged among people on the Day of Resurrection, are those of unlawful blood-shed.” Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أَوَّلُ مَا يُقْضَى بَيْنَ اَلنَّاسِ يَوْمَ اَلْقِيَامَةِ فِي اَلدِّمَاءِ . } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

Ibn ’Adi and Ad-Daraqutni also related on the authority of Ibn'Umar but with a weak chain of narrators, “Save them (i.e. the poor) wondering around (in the markets and the streets asking for food) on that day.”
وَلِابْنِ عَدِيٍّ ] مِنْ وَجْهٍ آخَرَ [, وَاَلدَّارَقُطْنِيِّ بِإِسْنَادٍ ضَعِيفٍ: { اغْنُوهُمْ عَنِ اَلطَّوَافِ فِي هَذَا اَلْيَوْمِ } 1 .

Al-Hakim transmitted on the authority of Abu Hurairah, “Whoever breaks his fast during Ramadan due to forgetfulness is not to make up for the day later or perform an expiation.” It is a sound hadith.
وَلِلْحَاكِمِ: { مَنْ أَفْطَرَ فِي رَمَضَانَ نَاسِيًا فَلَا قَضَاءَ عَلَيْهِ وَلَا كَفَّارَةَ } وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ 1 .

Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd (RA):
We would not have a siesta (mid-day nap) nor lunch till after the Friday prayer.

وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: { مَا كُنَّا نَقِيلُ وَلَا نَتَغَدَّى إِلَّا بَعْدَ اَلْجُمُعَةِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ, وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُسْلِمٍ . 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2177
‘Atā b. Abū Rabāh told of hearing that God’s messenger said, “If anyone recites Yā’ Sīn at the beginning of the day, his wants will be supplied.”
Dārimī transmitted it in mursal form.
وَعَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ: بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ (يس)
فِي صَدْرِ النَّهَارِ قضيت حَوَائِجه» رَوَاهُ الدَّارمِيّ مُرْسلا
