Sahih al-Bukhari 502
Narrated Yazid bin Al `Ubaid:
I used to accompany Salama bin Al-Akwa` and he used to pray behind the pillar which was near the place where the Qur'ans were kept. I said, "O Abu Muslim! I see you always seeking to pray behind this pillar." He replied, "I saw Allah's Apostle always seeking to pray near that pillar."
حَدَّثَنَا الْمَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ آتِي مَعَ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الأَكْوَعِ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الْمُصْحَفِ. فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ أَرَاكَ تَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ. قَالَ فَإِنِّي رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَهَا.

Narrated Sulaiman Ash-Shaibani:
I heard Ash-Shu`bi saying, "I was told by a man who had passed with the Prophet (p.b.u.h) by a grave that was separate from the other graves that he (the Prophet ) led them in the prayer and they prayed behind him." I said, "O Abu `Amr! Who narrated that to you?" He replied, "Ibn `Abbas."
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ، مَرَّ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى قَبْرٍ مَنْبُوذٍ فَأَمَّهُمْ وَصَلَّوْا خَلْفَهُ. قُلْتُ مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ هَذَا يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ.

Sahih al-Bukhari 1725
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Hafsa said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong with the people; they finished their Ihram after performing `Umra, but you have not finished it after your `Umra?" He replied, "I matted my hair and have garlanded my Hadi. So, I cannot finish my Ihram till I slaughter (my Hadi). "
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، مَا شَأْنُ النَّاسِ حَلُّوا بِعُمْرَةٍ وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ أَنْتَ مِنْ عُمْرَتِكَ قَالَ
" إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي، وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي، فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ ".

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2926
It was narrated from HIsham bin Urwah, from his father, from Umm Salamah, that she said:
"O Messenger of Allah, by Allah! I have not performed the Farewell Tawaf." The Prophet said: "When the Iqamah is said for prayer, perform Tawaf on your camel behind the people." Urwah did not hear from Umm Salamah.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ يا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ مَا طُفْتُ طَوَافَ الْخُرُوجِ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَطُوفِي عَلَى بَعِيرِكِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ النَّاسِ " . عُرْوَةُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ .

It was narrated from Khallad bin As-Sa'ib, from his father that the Messenger of Allah said:
"Jibril came to me and said: 'O Muhammad! Tell your Companions to rise their voices when reciting the Talbiyah."

" جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ فَقَالَ لِي يَا مُحَمَّدُ مُرْ أَصْحَابَكَ أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ " .

It was narrated that Humaid bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf said:
"I heard Mu'awiyah say on the day of 'Ashura when he was on the Mindar: O people of Al-Madinah, where are your scholars? I heard the Messenger of Allah say on this day: "I am fasting, so whoever wants to fast let him do so."
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، يَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ يَا أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ أَيْنَ عُلَمَاؤُكُمْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ
" إِنِّي صَائِمٌ فَمَنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَلْيَصُمْ " .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"Hamzah asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of Allah, should I fast while then fast and if you wish then do not fast."'

" إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ " .

It was narrated that Hamzah bin 'Amr Al-Aslami said:
"O Messenger of Allah, I feel able to fast while traveling." He said: "If you wish then fast and if you wish then do not fast."
أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، وَاللَّيْثُ، وَذَكَرَ، آخَرَ عَنْ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَجِدُ قُوَّةً عَلَى الصِّيَامِ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ
" إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ " .

It was narrated from Shu'bah, from Abu Ishaq who said:
"I heard Abu Al-Ahwas (narrate) that 'Abdullah said: 'Defaming a Muslim is evildoing and fighting him is Kufr.'" So Aban said to him: "O Abu Ishaq! You heard it only from Abu Al-Ahwas?" He said: "Rather, I heard it from Al-Aswad and Hubairah."
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فِسْقٌ وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ . فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبَانُ يَا أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ أَمَا سَمِعْتَهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ أَبِي الأَحْوَصِ قَالَ بَلْ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنَ الأَسْوَدِ وَهُبَيْرَةَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4186
It was narrated from Salamah bin Al-Akwa ' that he entered upon Al-Hajjaj who said:
O son of Al-Akwa, you have turned on your heels (i.e., deserted Islam) by staying in the desert with the Bedouins." He said: "No; the Messenger of Allah gave me permission to stay in the desert with the Bedouins.

it was narrated that 'Adiyy bin Hatim said:
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I shoot game and I follow its tracks after of night. He said: 'If you find your arrow in it, and no predator has eaten from it, then eat it."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرْمِي الصَّيْدَ فَأَطْلُبُ أَثَرَهُ بَعْدَ لَيْلَةٍ . قَالَ
" إِذَا وَجَدْتَ فِيهِ سَهْمَكَ وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ مِنْهُ سَبُعٌ فَكُلْ " .

Narrated 'Ali:
that the Prophet (SAW) said: "Abu Bakr and 'Umar are the masters of the elder people among the inhabitants of Paradise, from the first ones and the last ones, not including the Prophets and the Messengers. Do not inform them O 'Ali."

" أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ سَيِّدَا كُهُولِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنَ الأَوَّلِينَ وَالآخِرِينَ مَا خَلاَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالْمُرْسَلِينَ لاَ تُخْبِرْهُمَا يَا عَلِيُّ " .

Narrated Al-Walid bin 'Abdur-Rahman:
that Ibn 'Umar said to Abu Hurairah: "You used to stick to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) most out of all of us, and you used to best memorize his Ahadith out of us."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَنْتَ كُنْتَ أَلْزَمَنَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَحْفَظَنَا لِحَدِيثِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3666
It was narrated from Sa'd bin 'Ubadah that his mother died. He said:
"O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; can I give charity on her behalf?" He said: "Yes." He said: "What kind of charity is best?" He said: "Providing drinking water." And that is the drinking-fountain of Sa'd in Al-Madinah.
أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّهُ، مَاتَتْ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ عَنْهَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ ". قَالَ فَأَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " سَقْىُ الْمَاءِ ". فَتِلْكَ سِقَايَةُ سَعْدٍ بِالْمَدِينَةِ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3102
It was narrated that Al-Bara' said:
"When the following was revealed: 'Not equal are those of the believers who sit (at home),' [1] Ibn Umm Maktum, who was blind, came and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what about me? I am blind.' He said: 'He did not leave before the following was revealed: Except those who are disabled (by injury or are blind or lame).'" [2]

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ { لاَ يَسْتَوِي الْقَاعِدُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ } جَاءَ ابْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ وَكَانَ أَعْمَى فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ فِيَّ وَأَنَا أَعْمَى قَالَ فَمَا بَرِحَ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ { غَيْرُ أُولِي الضَّرَرِ } .

Sahih Muslim 1433 c
`A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Rifa`a al Qurazi divorced his wife and afterwards `Abd al-Rahman b. al-Zubair married her. She came to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) and said:
Messenger of Allah, Rifa`a has divorced me by three pronouncements. (The rest of the hadith is the same.)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رِفَاعَةَ الْقُرَظِيَّ، طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الزَّبِيرِ فَجَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ رِفَاعَةَ طَلَّقَهَا آخِرَ ثَلاَثِ تَطْلِيقَاتٍ . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ .

It has been reported on the authority of 'Abd al-Rahman b. Samura who said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to me: 'Abd al-Rahman, do not ask for a position of authority, for if you are granted this position as a result of your asking for it, you will be left alone (without God's help to discharge the responsibilities attendant thereon), and it you are granted it without making any request for it, you will be helped (by God in the discharge of your duties).

" يَا عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ لاَ تَسْأَلِ الإِمَارَةَ فَإِنَّكَ إِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ مَسْأَلَةٍ أُكِلْتَ إِلَيْهَا وَإِنْ أُعْطِيتَهَا عَنْ غَيْرِ مَسْأَلَةٍ أُعِنْتَ عَلَيْهَا " .

Sahih Muslim 1873 b
'Urwat al-Bariqi reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said this:
Good is tied to the forelock of the horses. It Was said to him: Messenger of Allah, why is it so? He (the Holy Prophet said): For reward and booty until the Day of Judgment.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، وَابْنُ، إِدْرِيسَ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنِ
الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الْخَيْرُ مَعْقُوصٌ
بِنَوَاصِي الْخَيْلِ " . قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بِمَ ذَاكَ قَالَ " الأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ
" .

Thauban reported that Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) slaughtered his sacrificial animal and then said:
Thauban, make his meat usable (for journey), and I continuously served him that until he arrived in Medina.

" يَا ثَوْبَانُ أَصْلِحْ لَحْمَ هَذِهِ " . فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُطْعِمُهُ مِنْهَا حَتَّى قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ .

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

'Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: The one who makes a false statement of that which one has not been given is like one who wears a garment of falsehood.

So why should you write it? (Or leave it in the Qur'an)?" `Uthman said. "O son of my brother! I will not shift anything of it from its place."
حَدَّثَنِي أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ قُلْتُ لِعُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ {وَالَّذِينَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنْكُمْ وَيَذَرُونَ أَزْوَاجًا} قَالَ قَدْ نَسَخَتْهَا الآيَةُ الأُخْرَى فَلِمَ تَكْتُبُهَا أَوْ تَدَعُهَا قَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، لاَ أُغَيِّرُ شَيْئًا مِنْهُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ.

Hafsah, wife of the Prophet (saws) said Apostle of Allaah(saws), how is it that the people have put off their ihram and you did not put off your ihram after your ‘Umrah. He said I have matted my hair and garlanded my sacrificial animal, so I shall not put off my ihram till I sacrifice my sacrificial animals.

" إِنِّي لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَقَلَّدْتُ هَدْيِي فَلاَ أَحِلُّ حَتَّى أَنْحَرَ الْهَدْىَ " .

Ibn Juraij said “O ye who believe, Obey Allaah and obey the Apostle and those charged with authority amongst you.” This verse was revealed about ‘Abd Allaah bin Qais bin ‘Adi whom the Prophet (saws) sent along with a detachment. Ya’la narrated it to me from Sa’id bin Jubair on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas.
حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ، قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ } فِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ بَعَثَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي سَرِيَّةٍ أَخْبَرَنِيهِ يَعْلَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ .

" بَلَى " . فَاتَّخَذَ لَهُ مِنْبَرًا مِرْقَاتَيْنِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1137
This tradition has also been narrated by Umm 'Atiyyah in a similar manner through a different chain. She added:
The menstruating women should keep themselves away from the place of prayer of the Muslims. She did not mention the garment. She narrated this tradition from Hafsah mentioning a woman who asked about another woman saying: O Messenger of Allah ....She then reported the tradition like that narrated by Musa mentioning the garment.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ قَالَ
" وَيَعْتَزِلُ الْحُيَّضُ مُصَلَّى الْمُسْلِمِينَ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الثَّوْبَ . قَالَ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ تُحَدِّثُهُ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ أُخْرَى قَالَتْ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُوسَى فِي الثَّوْبِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2501
Narrated Sahl ibn al-Hanzaliyyah:
On the day of Hunayn we travelled with the Messenger of Allah (saws) and we journeyed for a long time until the evening came. I attended the prayer along with the Messenger of Allah (saws).
A horseman came and said: Messenger of Allah, I went before you and climbed a certain mountain where saw Hawazin all together with their women, cattle, and sheep, having gathered at Hunayn.
The Messenger of Allah (saws) smiled and said: That will be the booty of the Muslims tomorrow if Allah wills. He then asked: Who will be on guard tonight?
Anas ibn AbuMarthad al-Ghanawi said: I shall , Messenger of Allah. He said: Then mount your horse. He then mounted his horse, and came to the Messenger of Allah (saws).
The Messenger of Allah said to him: Go forward to this ravine till you get to the top of it. We should not be exposed to danger from your side. In the morning the Apostle of of Allah (saws) came out to his place of prayer, and offered two rak'ahs. He then said: Have you seen any sign of your horseman?
They said: We have not, Messenger of Allah. The announcement of the time for prayer was then made, and while the Messenger of Allah (saws) was saying the prayer, he began to glance towards the ravine. When he finished his prayer and uttered salutation, he said: Cheer up, for your horseman has come. We therefore began to look between the trees in the ravine, and sure enough he had come.
He stood beside the Messenger of Allah (saws), saluted him and said: I continued till I reached the top of this ravine where the Messenger of Allah (saws) commanded me, and in the morning I looked down into both ravines but saw no one.
The Messenger of Allah (saws) asked him: Did you dismount during the night?
He replied: No, except to pray or to relieve myself. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: You have ensured your entry to (Paradise). No blame will be attached to you supposing you do not work after it.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلاَّمٍ - عَنْ زَيْدٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلاَّمٍ - أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا سَلاَّمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي السَّلُولِيُّ أَبُو كَبْشَةَ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ سَهْلُ ابْنُ الْحَنْظَلِيَّةِ، أَنَّهُمْ سَارُوا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ فَأَطْنَبُوا السَّيْرَ حَتَّى كَانَتْ عَشِيَّةً، فَحَضَرْتُ الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَارِسٌ فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي انْطَلَقْتُ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ حَتَّى طَلَعْتُ جَبَلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَإِذَا أَنَا بِهَوَازِنَ عَلَى بَكْرَةِ آبَائِهِمْ بِظُعُنِهِمْ وَنَعَمِهِمْ وَشَائِهِمُ اجْتَمَعُوا إِلَى حُنَيْنٍ . فَتَبَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ : " تِلْكَ غَنِيمَةُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ غَدًا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَنْ يَحْرُسُنَا اللَّيْلَةَ " . قَالَ أَنَسُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْثَدٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ : أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ : " فَارْكَبْ " . فَرَكِبَ فَرَسًا لَهُ فَجَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " اسْتَقْبِلْ هَذَا الشِّعْبَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ فِي أَعْلاَهُ وَلاَ نُغَرَّنَّ مِنْ قِبَلِكَ اللَّيْلَةَ " . فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْنَا خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى مُصَلاَّهُ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ : " هَلْ أَحْسَسْتُمْ فَارِسَكُمْ " . قَالُوا : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَحْسَسْنَاهُ . فَثُوِّبَ بِالصَّلاَةِ فَجَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ يَلْتَفِتُ إِلَى الشِّعْبِ حَتَّى إِذَا قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَبْشِرُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ فَارِسُكُمْ " . فَجَعَلْنَا نَنْظُرُ إِلَى خِلاَلِ الشَّجَرِ فِي الشِّعْبِ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدْ جَاءَ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : إِنِّي انْطَلَقْتُ حَتَّى كُنْتُ فِي أَعْلَى هَذَا الشِّعْبِ حَيْثُ أَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحْتُ اطَّلَعْتُ الشِّعْبَيْنِ كِلَيْهِمَا فَنَظَرْتُ فَلَمْ أَرَ أَحَدًا . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " هَلْ نَزَلْتَ اللَّيْلَةَ " . قَالَ : لاَ إِلاَّ مُصَلِّيًا أَوْ قَاضِيًا حَاجَةً . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : " قَدْ أَوْجَبْتَ فَلاَ عَلَيْكَ أَنْ لاَ تَعْمَلَ بَعْدَهَا " .

It was narrated from Muhammed bin 'Abdullah bin Zaid that his father said that:
The Messenger of Allah was thinking of a horn, and he commanded that a bell be made and it was done. Then 'Abdullah bin Zaid had a dream. He said: "I saw a man wearing two green garments, carrying a bell. I said to him, 'O slave of Allah, will you sell the bell?' He said; 'What will you do with it?' I said, 'I will call (the people) to prayer.' He said, 'Shall I not tell you of something better than that?' I said, 'What is it?' he said, 'Say: Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah; Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah, Ash-hadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah; Hayya 'alas-salah, Hayya 'alas-salah; Hayya 'alal-falah, Hayya 'alal-falah; Allahu Akbar Allahu Akbar; La ilaha illallah (Allah is The Most Great, Allah is The Most Great; Allah is The Most Great, Allah is The Most Great; I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah; I bear witness that Muhammed is the Messenger of Allah, I bear witness that Muhammed is the Messenger of Allah; Come to the Prayer, Come to the Prayer; Come to the prosperity, Come to the prosperity; Allah is the Most great, Allah is the Most Great; None has the right to be worshipped but Allah)." 'Abdullah bin Zaid went out and came to the Messenger of Allah, and told him what he had seen. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I saw a man wearing two green garments carrying a bell," and he told him the story. The Messenger of Allah said, "Your companion has had a dream. Go out with Bilal to the mosque and teach it to him, for he has a louder voice than you." I ('Abdullah) went out with Bilal to the mosque, and I started teaching him the words and he was calling them out. 'Umar Al-Khattab heard the voice and came out saying, "O Messenger of Allah! By Allah, I saw the same (dream) as him." (Hasan)Abu 'Ubaid said: "Abu Bakr Al-Hakami told me that 'Abdullah bin Zaid Al-Ansari said concerning that:
'I praise Allah, the Possessor of majesty and honor,
A great deal of praise for the Adhan.
Since the news of it came to me from Allah,
So due to it, I was honored by the information.
During the three nights.
Each of which increased me in honor.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَدْ هَمَّ بِالْبُوقِ وَأَمَرَ بِالنَّاقُوسِ فَنُحِتَ فَأُرِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ فِي الْمَنَامِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَجُلاً عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ يَحْمِلُ نَاقُوسًا فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ تَبِيعُ النَّاقُوسَ قَالَ وَمَا تَصْنَعُ بِهِ قُلْتُ أُنَادِي بِهِ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ . قَالَ أَفَلاَ أَدُلُّكَ عَلَى خَيْرٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ وَمَا هُوَ قَالَ تَقُولُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الصَّلاَةِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَلاَحِ حَىَّ عَلَى الْفَلاَحِ . اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ . قَالَ فَخَرَجَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَتَّى أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا رَأَى . قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رَأَيْتُ رَجُلاً عَلَيْهِ ثَوْبَانِ أَخْضَرَانِ يَحْمِلُ نَاقُوسًا . فَقَصَّ عَلَيْهِ الْخَبَرَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" إِنَّ صَاحِبَكُمْ قَدْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا فَاخْرُجْ مَعَ بِلاَلٍ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَأَلْقِهَا عَلَيْهِ وَلْيُنَادِ بِلاَلٌ فَإِنَّهُ أَنْدَى صَوْتًا مِنْكَ " . قَالَ فَخَرَجْتُ مَعَ بِلاَلٍ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَجَعَلْتُ أُلْقِيهَا عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يُنَادِي بِهَا . قَالَ فَسَمِعَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بِالصَّوْتِ فَخَرَجَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ الَّذِي رَأَى . قَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ فَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحَكَمِيُّ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ قَالَ فِي ذَلِكَ أَحْمَدُ اللَّهَ ذَا الْجَلاَلِ وَذَا الإِكْرَامِ حَمْدًا عَلَى الأَذَانِ كَثِيرًا إِذْ أَتَانِي بِهِ الْبَشِيرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ فَأَكْرِمْ بِهِ لَدَىَّ بَشِيرًا فِي لَيَالٍ وَالَى بِهِنَّ ثَلاَثٍ كُلَّمَا جَاءَ زَادَنِي تَوْقِيرًا

It was narrated that 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah said:
"I entered upon Aisha and said: 'Will you not tell me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah (saws)?' She said: 'When the Messenger of Allah (saws), became seriously ill, he said: "Have the people prayed?" We said: "No, they are waiting for you, 0 Messenger of Allah (saws)" He said: "Put some water in a tub for me." We did that and he performed Ghusl, then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then he came to us and said: "Have the people prayed?" We said: "No, they are waiting for you, 0 Messenger of
Allah (saws)." He said: "Put some water in
a tub for me." We did that and he performed Ghusl, then he tried to get up but he fainted. Then for the third time he said the same thing. She said: The people were in the Masjid, waiting for the Messenger of Allah (saws) to lead the prayer. The Messenger of Allah (saws) sent word to Abu Bakr, telling him to lead the people in prayer, so the messenger came to him and said: "The Messenger of Allah (saws) is telling you to lead the people in prayer." Abu Bakr was a tenderhearted man, he said: "0 'Umar. lead the
in prayer." But ('Umar) said: "You have more right to that." So Abu Bakr led them in prayer during those days. When the Messenger of Allah (saws) felt a little better, he came with
the help of two men, one of whom was Al-'Abbas, to pray Zuhr. When Abu Bakr saw him, he wanted to step back, but the Messenger of Allah (saws) gestured to him not to step back. He told them (the two men) to seat him beside Abu Bakr, and Abu Bakr started to pray standing. The people were following the prayer of Abu Bakr and the Messenger of Allah (saws) was praying sitting."'
"I ('Ubaidullah) entered upon Ibn Abbas and said 'Shall I not tell you what Aisha narrated to me about the sickness of the Messenger of Allah (saws)?' He said: 'Yes.' So I told him and he did not deny any of it, but he said: 'Did she tell you the name of the man who was with Al-'Abbas?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'That
was Ali, may Allah honor his face."'
أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ أَلاَ تُحَدِّثِينِي عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَتْ لَمَّا ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ " . فَقُلْنَا لاَ وَهُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ " . فَفَعَلْنَا فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ فَقَالَ " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ " . قُلْنَا لاَ هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ " . فَفَعَلْنَا فَاغْتَسَلَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ ثُمَّ أُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ مِثْلَ قَوْلِهِ قَالَتْ وَالنَّاسُ عُكُوفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَنْتَظِرُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِصَلاَةِ الْعِشَاءِ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ " أَنْ صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ " . فَجَاءَهُ الرَّسُولُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَجُلاً رَقِيقًا فَقَالَ يَا عُمَرُ صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ . فَقَالَ أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِذَلِكَ . فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ تِلْكَ الأَيَّامَ ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَجَدَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ خِفَّةً فَجَاءَ يُهَادَى بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَبَّاسُ لِصَلاَةِ الظُّهْرِ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ذَهَبَ لِيَتَأَخَّرَ فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ لاَ يَتَأَخَّرَ وَأَمَرَهُمَا فَأَجْلَسَاهُ إِلَى جَنْبِهِ فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي قَائِمًا وَالنَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ بِصَلاَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا . فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقُلْتُ أَلاَ أَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكَ مَا حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ نَعَمْ . فَحَدَّثْتُهُ فَمَا أَنْكَرَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَسَمَّتْ لَكَ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي كَانَ مَعَ الْعَبَّاسِ قُلْتُ لاَ . قَالَ هُوَ عَلِيٌّ كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2985
Narrated AbdulMuttalib ibn Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith:
AbdulMuttalib ibn Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith said that his father, Rabi'ah ibn al-Harith, and Abbas ibn al-Muttalib said to AbdulMuttalib ibn Rabi'ah and al-Fadl ibn Abbas: Go to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and tell him: Messenger of Allah, we are now of age as you see, and we wish to marry. Messenger of Allah, you are the kindest of the people and the most skilled in matchmaking. Our fathers have nothing with which to pay our dower. So appoint us collector of sadaqah (zakat), Messenger of Allah, and we shall give you what the other collectors give you, and we shall have the benefit accruing from it. Ali came to us while we were in this condition.
He said: The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: No, I swear by Allah, he will not appoint any of you collector of sadaqah (zakat).
Rabi'ah said to him: This is your condition; you have gained your relationship with the Messenger of Allah (saws) by marriage, but we did not grudge you that. Ali then put his cloak on the earth and lay on it.
He then said: I am the father of Hasan, the chief. I swear by Allah, I shall not leave this place until your sons come with a reply (to the question) for which you have sent them to the Prophet (saws).
AbdulMuttalib said: So I and al-Fadl went towards the door of the apartment of the Prophet (saws). We found that the noon prayer in congregation had already started. So we prayed along with the people. I and al-Fadl then hastened towards the door of the apartment of the Prophet (saws). He was (staying) with Zaynab, daughter of Jahsh, that day. We stood until the Messenger of Allah (saws) came. He caught my ear and the ear of al-Fadl.
He then said: Reveal what you conceal in your hearts. He then entered and permitted me and al-Fadl (to enter). So we entered and for a little while we asked each other to talk. I then talked to him, or al-Fadl talked to him (the narrator, Abdullah was not sure).
He said: He spoke to him concerning the matter about which our fathers ordered us to ask him. The Messenger of Allah (saws) remained silent for a moment and raised his eyes towards the ceiling of the room. He took so long that we thought he would not give any reply to us. حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَنْبَسَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ وَعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ قَالاَ لِعَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَلِلْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ائْتِيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُولاَ لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ بَلَغْنَا مِنَ السِّنِّ مَا تَرَى وَأَحْبَبْنَا أَنْ نَتَزَوَّجَ وَأَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَبَرُّ النَّاسِ وَأَوْصَلُهُمْ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدَ أَبَوَيْنَا مَا يُصْدِقَانِ عَنَّا فَاسْتَعْمِلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الصَّدَقَاتِ فَلْنُؤَدِّ إِلَيْكَ مَا يُؤَدِّي الْعُمَّالُ وَلْنُصِبْ مَا كَانَ فِيهَا مِنْ مِرْفَقٍ . قَالَ فَأَتَى إِلَيْنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَنَحْنُ عَلَى تِلْكَ الْحَالِ فَقَالَ لَنَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ وَاللَّهِ لاَ نَسْتَعْمِلُ مِنْكُمْ أَحَدًا عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ " . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَبِيعَةُ هَذَا مِنْ أَمْرِكَ قَدْ نِلْتَ صِهْرَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ نَحْسُدْكَ عَلَيْهِ . فَأَلْقَى عَلِيٌّ رِدَاءَهُ ثُمَّ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَنَا أَبُو حَسَنٍ الْقَرْمُ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَرِيمُ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْكُمَا ابْنَاكُمَا بِجَوَابِ مَا بَعَثْتُمَا بِهِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ عَبْدُ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَانْطَلَقْتُ أَنَا وَالْفَضْلُ إِلَى بَابِ حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى نُوَافِقَ صَلاَةَ الظُّهْرِ قَدْ قَامَتْ فَصَلَّيْنَا مَعَ النَّاسِ ثُمَّ أَسْرَعْتُ أَنَا وَالْفَضْلُ إِلَى بَابِ حُجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَوْمَئِذٍ عِنْدَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ فَقُمْنَا بِالْبَابِ حَتَّى أَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخَذَ بِأُذُنِي وَأُذُنِ الْفَضْلِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَخْرِجَا مَا تُصَرِّرَانِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ فَأَذِنَ لِي وَلِلْفَضْلِ فَدَخَلْنَا فَتَوَاكَلْنَا الْكَلاَمَ قَلِيلاً ثُمَّ كَلَّمْتُهُ أَوْ كَلَّمَهُ الْفَضْلُ - قَدْ شَكَّ فِي ذَلِكَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ - قَالَ كَلَّمَهُ بِالأَمْرِ الَّذِي أَمَرَنَا بِهِ أَبَوَانَا فَسَكَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَاعَةً وَرَفَعَ بَصَرَهُ قِبَلَ سَقْفِ الْبَيْتِ حَتَّى طَالَ عَلَيْنَا أَنَّهُ لاَ يَرْجِعُ إِلَيْنَا شَيْئًا حَتَّى رَأَيْنَا زَيْنَبَ تَلْمَعُ مِنْ وَرَاءِ الْحِجَابِ بِيَدِهَا تُرِيدُ أَنْ لاَ تَعْجَلاَ وَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي أَمْرِنَا ثُمَّ خَفَّضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا " إِنَّ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةَ إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَوْسَاخُ النَّاسِ وَإِنَّهَا لاَ تَحِلُّ لِمُحَمَّدٍ وَلاَ لآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ ادْعُوا لِي نَوْفَلَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ " . فَدُعِيَ لَهُ نَوْفَلُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ فَقَالَ " يَا نَوْفَلُ أَنْكِحْ عَبْدَ الْمُطَّلِبِ " . فَأَنْكَحَنِي نَوْفَلٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " ادْعُوا لِي مَحْمِيَةَ بْنَ جَزْءٍ " . وَهُوَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي زُبَيْدٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اسْتَعْمَلَهُ عَلَى الأَخْمَاسِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِمَحْمِيَةَ " أَنْكِحِ الْفَضْلَ " . فَأَنْكَحَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قُمْ فَأَصْدِقْ عَنْهُمَا مِنَ الْخُمُسِ كَذَا وَكَذَا " . لَمْ يُسَمِّهِ لِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ .

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا : لا تُحَدِّثِينِي عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَتْ : بَلَى، ثَقُلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ " قُلْنَا : لَا، هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ : " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ ".
قَالَتْ : فَفَعَلْنَا، فَاغْتَسَلَ، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ، فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ " فَقُلْنَا : لَا، هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ : " ضَعُوا لِي مَاءً فِي الْمِخْضَبِ ".
فَفَعَلْنَا، ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ لِيَنُوءَ، فَأُغْمِيَ عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَفَاقَ، فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَّى النَّاسُ؟ " فَقُلْنَا : لَا، هُمْ يَنْتَظِرُونَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ.
قَالَتْ : وَالنَّاسُ عُكُوفٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ يَنْتَظِرُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ.
قَالَتْ : فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ.
قَالَتْ : فَأَتَاهُ الرَّسُولُ، فَقَالَ : إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُكَ بِأَنْ تُصَلِّيَ بِالنَّاسِ.
فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَكَانَ رَجُلًا رَقِيقًا : يَا عُمَرُ، صَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ.
فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ : أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِذَلِكَ.
قَالَتْ : فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ أَبُو بَكْرٍ تِلْكَ الْأَيَّامَ.
قَالَتْ : ثُمَّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجَدَ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ خِفَّةً فَخَرَجَ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا الْعَبَّاسُ لِصَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ، فَلَمَّا رَآهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ذَهَبَ لِيَتَأَخَّرَ، فَأَوْمَأَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَتَأَخَّرَ، وَقَالَ لَهُمَا : " أَجْلِسَانِي إِلَى جَنْبِهِ ".
فَأَجْلَسَاهُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ.
قَالَتْ :فَجَعَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ بِصَلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَالنَّاسُ يُصَلُّونَ بِصَلَاةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدٌ ".
قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ : فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فَقُلْتُ لَهُ : أَلَا أَعْرِضُ عَلَيْكَ مَا حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ : هَاتِ، فَعَرَضْتُ حَدِيثَهَا عَلَيْهِ، فَمَا أَنْكَرَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَسَمَّتْ لَكَ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي كَانَ مَعَ الْعَبَّاسِ؟ قُلْتُ : لَا، فَقَالَ : هُوَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ

Sumurah bin Jundub (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) very often used to ask his Companions, "Do any one of you has seen a dream?" So dreams would be narrated to him by those whom Allah willed to relate. One day he (PBUH) said, "Last night I had a vision in which two men (angels) came to me and woke me up and said to me, 'Proceed!' I set out with them and we came across a man lying down, and behold, another man was standing over his head, holding a big rock. Behold, he was throwing the rock at the man's head, smashing it. When he struck him, the stone rolled away and he went after it to get it, and no sooner had he returned to this man, his head was healed and restored to its former condition. The thrower (of the rock) then did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions, 'Subhan-Allah! Who are these?' They said: 'Proceed, proceed.' So we proceeded and came to a man lying in a prone position and another man standing over his head with an iron hook, and behold, he would put the hook in one side of the man's mouth and tear off that side of his face to the back (of the neck), and similarly tear his nose from front to back, and his eyes from front to back. Then he turned to the other side of the man's face and did just as he has done with the first side. He had hardly completed that (second) side when the first returned to its normal state. I said to my two companions, 'Subhan-Allah! Who are these?' They said, 'Proceed, proceed.' So we proceeded and came across something like a Tannur (a kind of baking oven, a pit usually clay-lined for baking bread)." I (the narrator) think the Prophet (PBUH) said, "In that oven there was much noise and voices." The Prophet (PBUH) added, "We looked into it and found naked men and women, and behold, a flame of fire was reaching to them from underneath, and when it reached them they cried loudly. I asked, 'Who are these?' They said to me, 'Proceed, proceed.' And so we proceeded and came across a river." I (the narrator) think he said, "-- red like blood." The Prophet (PBUH) added, "And behold, in the river there was a man swimming, and on the bank there was a man who had collected many stones. Behold, while the other man was swimming, he went near him. The former opened his mouth and the latter (on the bank) threw a stone into his mouth whereupon he went swimming again. Then again he (the former) returned to him (the latter), and every time the former returned, he opened his mouth, ...
وعن سمرة بن جندب رضي الله عنه قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مما يكثر أن يقول لأصحابه:((هل رأى أحد منكم رؤيا؟)) فيقص عليه من شاء الله أن يقص، وإنه قال لنا ذات غداة:((إنه أتاني الليلة آتيان، وإنهما قالا لي: انطلق، وإني انطلقت معهما، وإنا أتينا على رجل مضطجع، وإذا آخر قائم عليه بصخرة، وإذا هو يهوي بالصخرة لرأسه، فيثلغ رأسه، فيتدهده الحجر ها هنا، فيتبع الحجر فليأخذه، فلا يرجع إليه حتى يصح رأسه كما كان، ثم يعود عليه، فيفعل به مثل ما فعل المرة الأولى!" قال: "قلت لهما: سبحان الله! ما هذان؟ قالا لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا، فأتينا على رجل مستلق لقفاه، وإذا آخر قائم عليه بكلوب من حديد، وإذا هو يأتي أحد شقي وجهه فيشرشر شدقه إلى قفاه، ومنخره إلى قفاه، وعينه إلى قفاه، ثم يتحول إلى الجانب الآخر، فيفعل به مثل ما فعل بالجانب الأول، فما يفرغ من ذلك الجانب حتى يصح ذلك الجانب كما كان، ثم يعود عليه، فيفعل مثل ما فعل في المرة الأولى" قال: قلت: سبحان الله؟ ما هذان؟ قال: قالا لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا، فأتينا على مثل التنور" فأحسب أنه قال: "فإذا فيه: لغط وأصوات، فاطلعنا فيه فإذا فيه رجال ونساء عراة، وإذا هم يأتيهم لهب من أسفل منهم فإذا أتاهم ذلك اللهب ضوضئوا. قلت: ما هؤلاء؟ قالا لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا فأتينا على نهر" حسبت أنه كان يقول: "أحمر مثل الدم، وإذا في النهر رجل سابح يسبح، وإذا على شط النهر رجل قد جمع عنده حجارة كثيرة، وإذا ذلك السابح يسب ما يسبح، ثم يأتي ذلك الذي قد جمع عنده الحجارة، فيفغر له فاه، فيلقمه حجرًا، فينطلق فيسبح، ثم يرجع إليه، كلما رجع إليه، فغر له فاه، فألقمه حجرًا، قلت لهما: ما هذان؟ قالا لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا، فأتينا على رجل كريه المرآة، أو كأكره ما أنت راء رجلا مرأى فإذا هو عنده نارٌ يحشها ويسعى حولها. قلت لهما: ما هذا؟ قال لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا فأتينا على روضة معتمة فيها من كل نور الربيع، وإذا بين ظهري الروضة رجل طويل لا أكاد أرى رأسه طولا في السماء، وإذا حول الرجل من أكثر ولدان رأيتهم قط، قلت: ما هذا! وما هؤلاء؟ قالا لي: انطلق انطلق، فانطلقنا، فأتينا إلى دوحة عظيمة لم أرَ دوحة قط أعظم منها، ولا أحسن! قالا لي: ارقَ لي: ارقَ فيها، فارتقينا فيها إلى مدينة مبنية بلبن ذهب ولبن فضة، فأتينا باب المدينة فاستفتحنا، ففتح لنا، فدخلناها، فتلقانا رجال شطر من خلقهم كأحسن ما أنت راء! وشطر منهم كأقبح ما أنت راء! قالا لهم: اذهبوا فقعوا في ذلك النهر، وإذا هو نهر معترض يجري كأن ماءه المحض في البياض، فذهبوا فوقعوا فيه. ثم رجعوا إلينا قد ذهب ذلك السوء عنهم، فصاروا في أحسن صورة. قال: قالا لي: هذه جنة عدن، وهذاك منزلك، فسما بصري صعدًا، فإذا قصر مثل الربابة البيضاء. قالا لي: هذاك منزلك؟ قلت لهما: بارك الله فيكما، فذراني فأدخله. قالا: أما الآن فلا، وأنت داخله. قلت لهما: فإني رأيت منذ الليلة عجبًا؟ فما هذا الذي رأيت؟ قالا لي: أما إنا سنخبرك: أما الرجل الأول الذي أتيت عليه يثلغ رأسه بالحجر، فإنه الرجل يأخذ القرآن فيرفضه وينام عن الصلاة المكتوبة، وأما الرجل الذي أتيت عليه يشرشر شدقه إلى قفاه، ومنخره إلى قفاه، وعينه إلى قفاه، فإنه الرجل يغدو من بيته فيكذب الكذبة تبلغ الآفاق. وأما الرجال والنساء العراة الذين هم في مثل بناء التنور، فإنهم الزناة والزواني، وأما الرجل الذي أتيت عليه يسبح في النهر، ويلقم الحجارة، فإنه آكل الربا، وأما الرجل الكرية المرآة الذي عند النار يحشها ويسعى حولها، فإنه مالك خازن جهنم، وأما الرجل الطويل الذي في الروضة، فإنه إبراهيم، وأما الولدان الذين حوله، فكل مولود مات على الفطرة" وفي رواية البرقاني: "ولد على الفطرة" فقال بعض المسلمين: يا رسول الله، وأولاد المشركين؟ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "وأولاد المشركين، وأما القوم الذين كانوا شطر منهم حسن، وشطر منهم قبيح، فإنهم قوم خلطوا عملا صالحًا وآخر سيئًا، تجاوز الله عنهم" ((رواه البخاري)).
وفي رواية له: "رأيت الليلة رجلين أتياني فأخرجاني إلى أرض مقدسة" ثم ذكره وقال: "فانطلقنا إلى نقب مثل التنور، أعلاه ضيق وأسفله واسع؛ يتوقد تحته نارًا، فإذا ارتفعت ارتفعوا حتى كادوا أن يخرجوا، وإذا خمدت، رجعوا فيها، وفيها رجال ونساء عراة". وفيها: "حتى أتينا على نهر من دم" ولم يشك "فيه رجل قائم على وسط النهر، وعلى شط النهر رجل، وبين يديه حجارة، فأقبل الرجل الذي في النهر، فإذا أراد أن يخرج، رمى الرجل بحجر في فيه، فرده حيث كان، فجعل كلما جاء ليخرج جعل يرمي في فيه بحجر، فيرجع كما كان". وفيها: "فصعدا بي الشجرة، فأدخلاني دارًا لم أرَ قط أحسن منها، فيها رجال شيوخ وشباب". وفيها: "الذي رأيته يشق شدقه فكذاب، يحدث بالكذبة فتحمل عنه حتى تبلغ الآفاق، فيصنع به ما رأيت إلى يوم القيامة" وفيها: "الذي رأيته يشدخ رأسه فرجل علمه الله القرآن، فنام عنه بالليل، ولم يعمل فيه بالنهار، فيفعل به إلى يوم القيامة، والدار الأولى التي دخلت دار عامة المؤمنين، وأما هذه الدار فدار الشهداء، وأنا جبريل، وهذا ميكائيل، فارفع رأسك، فرفعت رأسي، فإذا فوقي مثل السحاب، قالا: ذاك منزلك، قلت: دعاني أدخل منزلي، قالا: إنه بقي لك عمر لم تستكمله، فلو استكملته، أتيت منزلك" ((رواه البخاري)).قوله: «يثلغ رأسه» هو بالثاء المثلثة والغين المعجمة، أي: يشدخه ويشقه. قوله: «يتدهده» أي: يتدحرج. و «الكلوب» بفتح الكاف وضم اللام المشددة، وهو معروف. قوله: «فيشرشر» : أي: يقطع. قوله: «ضوضوا» وهو بضادين معجمتين: أي صاحوا. قوله: «فيفغر» هو بالفاء والغين المعجمة، أي: يفتح. قوله «المرآة» هو بفتح الميم، أي: المنظر. قوله: «يحشها» هو بفتح الياء وضم الحاء المهملة والشين المعجمة، أي: يوقدها. قوله: «روضة معتمة» هو بضم الميم وإسكان العين وفتح التاء وتشديد الميم، أي: وافية النبات طويلته. قوله: «دوحة» وهي بفتح الدال وإسكان الواو وبالحاء المهملة: وهي الشجرة الكبيرة. قوله: «المحض» هو بفتح الميم وإسكان الحاء المهملة وبالضاد المعجمة، وهو: اللبن. قوله «فسما بصري» أي: ارتفع. و «صعدا» بضم الصاد والعي، أي: مرتفعا. و «الربابة» بفتح الراء وبالباء الموحدة مكررة، وهي: السحابة

I said: Messenger of Allah, should we not build a house or a building which shades you from the sun? He replied: No, it is a place for the one who reaches there earlier.

Narrated AbuUmamah:
A man said: Messenger of Allah, allow tourism for me. The Prophet (saws) said: The tourism of my people is striving in the path of Allah, the Exalted.

" إِنَّ سِيَاحَةَ أُمَّتِي الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4289
Umm salamah reported the Prophet (saws) as saying about the swallowing up an army by the earth. I asked:
How will a man who comes against his will (be swallowed up by the earth), Messenger of Allah ? He replied: All will be swallowed up, but each will be raised according to his intention on the Day of Resurrection.

Narrated Imran ibn Husayn:
A servant of some poor people cut off the ear of the servant of some rich people. His people came to the Prophet (saws) and said: Messenger of Allah! we are poor people. So he imposed no compensation on them.

Mishkat al-Masabih 3649
Anas quoted Abu Talha as saying he told God’s Prophet he had bought wine for orphans who were in his charge, and he replied, “Pour out the wine and break the wine-jars.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, but declared it weak.
In Abu Dawud’s version it says he asked the Prophet about orphans who had inherited wine and he said, “Pour it out.” He asked if he might not make vinegar of it and he told him he must not.

Abu Humaid as-Sa‘idi said that when some people asked God’s Messenger how they should invoke blessings on him he told them to say, “O God, bless Muhammad, his wives and his offspring as Thou didst bless Abraham; and grant favours to Muhammad, his wives and his offspring as Thou didst grant favours to the family of Abraham. Thou art indeed praiseworthy and glorious.”

Abud Darda' and Abu Dharr reported God’s Messenger as stating that God who is blessed and exalted said, “Son of Adam, if you perform four rak'as for me at the beginning of the day, I will supply what you need till the end of it.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it from Nu'aim b. Hammar al-Ghatafani, and Ahmad from them all.
وَعَن أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:

Mishkat al-Masabih 4262
Abu Waqid al-Laithi told that a man said, "Messenger of God, we live in a land where we are afflicted by hunger, so when may we eat animals which have died a natural death?" He replied, "As long as you do not have a morning drink or an evening drink or gather vegetables you may eat them," meaning that when you do not find a morning drink or an evening drink, or find a vegetable to eat, animals which have died a natural death are allowable to you.
Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ أَنْ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا نَكُونُ بِأَرْضٍ فَتُصِيبُنَا بهَا المخصمة فَمَتَى يحلُّ لنا الميتةُ؟ قَالَ: «مَا لم تصطبحوا وتغتبقوا أَوْ تَحْتَفِئُوا بِهَا بَقْلًا فَشَأْنَكُمْ بِهَا» . مَعْنَاهُ: إِذَا لَمْ تَجِدُوا صَبُوحًا أَوْ غَبُوقًا وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا بَقْلَةً تَأْكُلُونَهَا حَلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ. رَوَاهُ الدَّارمِيّ

Buraida told that while God’s Messenger was walking a man who had an ass came to him and, moving to the back of the animal, invited him to mount, but he said, “No; you have more right to ride in front on your animal unless you grant that right to me." The man replied that he did, and so he mounted.
Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَن بُرَيْدَة قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْشِي إِذا جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مَعَهُ حِمَارٌ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ارْكَبْ وَتَأَخَّرَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا أَنْتَ أَحَقُّ بِصَدْرِ دَابَّتِكَ إِلَّا أَنْ تَجْعَلَهُ لِي» . قَالَ: جَعَلْتُهُ لَكَ فَرَكِبَ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ

Mishkat al-Masabih 5685
Anas reported the Prophet as saying, "O people, weep, but if you are unable to do so, then pretend to weep, for the inhabitants of hell will weep in hell till their tears flow on their faces as though they were streams, and when the tears stop blood will flow and the eyes will be made sore. If ships were blown along in them, they could sail."
It is transmitted in Sharh as-sunna.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ابْكُوا فَإِنْ لَمْ تَسْتَطِيعُوا فَتَبَاكَوْا فَإِنَّ أَهْلَ النَّارِ يَبْكُونَ فِي النَّارِ حَتَّى تَسِيلَ دُمُوعُهُمْ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ كَأَنَّهَا جَدَاوِلُ حَتَّى تَنْقَطِعَ الدُّمُوعُ فَتَسِيلَ الدِّمَاءُ فَتَقَرَّحَ الْعُيُونُ فَلَوْ أَنَّ سُفُنًا أُزْجِيَتْ فِيهَا لجَرَتْ» . رَوَاهُ فِي «شرح السّنة»

Yazid b. Abu `Ubaid said:
I saw the mark of a blow on the leg of Salama b. al-Akwa' and asked, "What is this blow, Abu Muslim?" He replied, "It is a blow I received at the battle for Khaibar which made the people say I had been killed. I went to the Prophet who blew spittle on it three times, and up to now I have been having no trouble with it."
Bukhari transmitted it.
عَن يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ ضَرْبَةٍ فِي سَاقِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا مُسلم مَا هَذِه الضَّربةُ؟ فَقَالَ: هَذِه ضَرْبَةٌ أَصَابَتْنِي يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ أُصِيبَ سَلَمَةُ فَأَتَيْتُ الْنَبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَفَثَ فِيهِ ثَلَاثَ نَفَثَاتٍ فَمَا اشْتَكَيْتُهَا حَتَّى السَّاعَة. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ

Zayd ibn Aslam reported from his father that 'Umar used to say
on the minbar, "O people! Improve your homes but be careful about these
house snakes [which are a form of jinn] before they make you afraid. Those
among them which are Muslim will not be clear to you and, by Allah, we
have not made peace with them since the time when we treated them as an
enemy."

"Do not make your buildings tall. That will come about in

Bulugh al-Maram 781
A’ishah (RAA) narrated, 'The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) went to visit. Duba’ah bint Az-Zubair bin 'Abdul Muttalib. She said to him, ‘O Messenger of Allah I have made the intention to perform Hajj but I am suffering from an illness.’ He said to her, “Perform Hajj but set a condition that you shall be relieved of the Ihram whenever you are prevented (due to illness, etc.).” Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { دَخَلَ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَلَى ضُبَاعَةَ بِنْتِ اَلزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا, فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! إِنِّي أُرِيدُ اَلْحَجَّ, وَأَنَا شَاكِيَةٌ، فَقَالَ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -
" حُجِّي وَاشْتَرِطِي: أَنَّ مَحَلِّي 1 حَيْثُ حَبَسْتَنِي " } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. 2 .

Sahl bin Sa'd (RAA) narrated, A man came to the Prophet and said, “O Allah`s Messenger (P.B.U.H.), direct me to a deed which if I do it, I shall be loved by Allah and by people.” He replied, “If you practice abstinence in this world, Allah will love you, and if you abstain from (desiring) what people have, they will love you.” Related by Ibn Majah and others with a good chain of narrators.
1473: وَعَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: { جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى اَلنَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! دُلَّنِي عَلَى عَمَلٍ إِذَا عَمِلْتُهُ أَحَبَّنِي اَللَّهُ, وَأَحَبَّنِي اَلنَّاسُ. [فـ] قَالَ: اِزْهَدْ فِي اَلدُّنْيَا يُحِبُّكَ اَللَّهُ, وَازْهَدْ فِيمَا عِنْدَ اَلنَّاسِ يُحِبُّكَ اَلنَّاسُ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ مَاجَه, وَسَنَدُهُ حَسَنٌ 1 .

Jabir (RAA) narrated, 'A thief was brought to the Prophet (PBUH) and he said to them, "Kill him." The people said, 'He has just stolen O Messenger of Allah!' He then said, "Cut off his hand." He was brought to him the second time and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) also said, "Kill him." They said the same and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to them, 'Cut off his hand." The same man was brought a third time and a fourth time and same was said. When they brought him the fifth time, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Kill him." Related by Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i who regarded it as Munkar (a type of weak hadith).
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: جِيءَ بِسَارِقٍ إِلَى اَلنَّبِيِّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَقَالَ: { "اُقْتُلُوهُ". فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! إِنَّمَا سَرَقَ. قَالَ: "اِقْطَعُوهُ" فَقَطَعَ, ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِهِ اَلثَّانِيَةِ, فَقَالَ "اُقْتُلُوهُ" فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ, ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِهِ اَلرَّابِعَةِ كَذَلِكَ, ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِهِ اَلْخَامِسَةِ فَقَالَ: "اُقْتُلُوهُ" } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَالنِّسَائِيُّ, وَاسْتَنْكَرَه ُ 1 .

Bulugh al-Maram 1425
Narrated Abu Umamah al-Harithi (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said. "If anyone seized - by his oath - what rightly belongs to a Muslim, Allah has made the Hell-fire compulsory for him and forbidden for him the Paradise." A man asked, "O Allah's Messenger, even if it were something insignificant?" He replied, "Even if it were a stick from an Arak tree."
[Reported by Muslim].
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ اَلْحَارِثِيُّ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { " مَنْ اِقْتَطَعَ حَقَّ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ بِيَمِينِهِ, فَقَدْ أَوْجَبَ اَللَّهُ لَهُ اَلنَّارَ, وَحَرَّمَ عَلَيْهِ اَلْجَنَّةَ" . فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: وَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْئًا يَسِيرًا يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ? قَالَ: "وَإِنْ قَضِيبٌ مِنْ أَرَاكٍ" } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم ٌ 1 .

Narrated Kharijah bin Hudhaifah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Allah the Exalted has given you an extra prayer which is better for you than the red camels (high breed camels)." We asked, "What is it O Allah's Messenger." He said, "The Witr between the 'Isha' prayer and up till the break of dawn."
[Reported by al-Khamsah except an-Nasa'i and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ خَارِجَةَ بْنِ حُذَافَةَ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِنَّ اَللَّهَ أَمَدَّكُمْ بِصَلَاةٍ هِيَ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ مِنْ حُمُرِ اَلنَّعَمِ
" قُلْنَا : وَمَا هِيَ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ? قَالَ : " اَلْوِتْرُ , مَا بَيْنَ صَلَاةِ اَلْعِشَاءِ إِلَى طُلُوعِ اَلْفَجْرِ } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا النَّسَائِيَّ وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ . 1

Narrated Anas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) was delivering the Khutbah (religious talk, sermon) while standing on a Friday when a man came into the mosque and said, "O Messenger of Allah! The livestock have died and the roads are cut off, so supplicate Allah to send us down rain." Allah's Messenger (SAW) raised his hands and then said, "O Allah! send us down rain, O Allah! send us down rain, O Allah! send us down rain."
And the reporter mentioned the complete Hadith, which contains supplication to stop the rain.

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ اَلْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ اَلْجُمُعَةِ, وَالنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ. فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ, هَلَكَتِ اَلْأَمْوَالُ, وَانْقَطَعَتِ اَلسُّبُلُ, فَادْعُ اَللَّهَ] عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] يُغِيثُنَا, فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ, ثُمَّ قَالَ:
"اَللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا, اَللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا..." } فَذَكَرَ اَلْحَدِيثَ، وَفِيهِ اَلدُّعَاءُ بِإِمْسَاكِهَا مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 474
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “None of you must pass water into standing water that is not flowing, then wash in it.”
(Bukhari and Muslim.) In a version by Muslim he said, “None of you must wash in standing water when he is sexually defiled.” Abu Huraira was asked how it was to be done, and said that it was to be taken out in handfuls.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَبُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ الَّذِي لَا يجْرِي ثمَّ يغْتَسل فِيهِ»

He said that the Prophet used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays, and when someone remarked on this to him he said, “On Monday and Thursday God forgives every Muslim except two who are at variance, for He says they must be left till they make peace with one another.”

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ. فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ. فَقَالَ:

Abu Sa'id reported God’s messenger as saying, “When a corpse is placed on a bier and men carry it on their shoulders, if it was a good man it says, ‘Take me quickly’; but if it was not good it says to its bearers, ‘Woe to it, where are you taking it?’ Everything but mankind hears its voice, and were a human being to hear it he would faint.”
Bukhari transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" إِذَا وُضِعَتِ الْجَنَازَةُ فَاحْتَمَلَهَا الرِّجَالُ عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَإِنْ كَانَتْ صَالِحَةً قَالَتْ: قَدِّمُونِي وَإِنْ كَانَتْ غَيْرَ صَالِحَةٍ قَالَت لأَهْلهَا: يَا وَيْلَهَا أَيْن يذهبون بِهَا؟ يَسْمَعُ صَوْتَهَا كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا الْإِنْسَانَ وَلَو سمع الْإِنْسَان لصعق ". رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 1730
He reported God’s messenger as saying to some women of the Ansar, “None of you will lose three children by death and seek a reward from God without entering paradise.” One of them asked, “Or two, messenger of God?” He replied, “Or two.”
Muslim transmitted it. Bukharl and Muslim have a version which says, “three who were not old enough to sin.”
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِنِسْوَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ:
" لَا يَمُوتُ لِإِحْدَاكُنَّ ثَلَاثَةٌ من الْوَلَد فتحتسبه إِلَّا دخلت الْجنَّة. فَقَالَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْهُنَّ: أَوِ اثْنَانِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: أَوْ اثْنَانِ ". رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهما: «ثَلَاثَة لم يبلغُوا الْحِنْث»

Abu Dharr reported the Prophet as saying, “There are three to whom God will not speak on the day of resurrection, at whom He will not look, and whom He will not declare pure, and they will have a painful punishment.” Abu Dharr said, “They are losers and disappointed. Who are they, Messenger of God?” He replied, “The one who wears a trailing robe, the one who takes account of what he gives*, and the one who produces a ready sale of a commodity by false swearing.”
Muslim transmitted it.
* This is the type of person who keeps reminding people of his generosity to them.
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «ثَلَاثَةٌ لَا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَلَا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ» . قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ: خَابُوا وَخَسِرُوا مَنْ هُمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ: «الْمُسْبِلُ وَالْمَنَّانٌ وَالْمُنَفِّقُ سِلْعَتَهُ بِالْحلف الْكَاذِب» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Rafi' b. 'Amr al-Ghifari said:
When I was a boy I used to throw stones at the palm-trees belonging to the Ansar and was brought to the Prophet. He asked, “Why do you throw stones at the palm-trees, boy?” and when I replied that it was to get something to eat he said, “Do not' throw stones, but you may eat anything that falls below them.” Then passing his hand over my head he said, “O God, fill his belly.”
Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَن رَافع بن عَمْرو الْغِفَارِيّ قَالَ: كُنْتُ غُلَامًا أَرْمِي نَخْلَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَأُتِيَ بِيَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا غُلَامُ لِمَ تَرْمِي النَّخْلَ؟» قُلْتُ: آكُلُ قَالَ: «فَلَا تَرْمِ وَكُلْ مِمَّا سَقَطَ فِي أَسْفَلِهَا» ثُمَّ مَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ أَشْبِعْ بَطْنَهُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ

Bahz b. Hakim, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather reported God’s Messenger as saying, "Cover your private parts, except from your wife or your female slave,” and said he asked him to tell him what a man might do when alone. He replied, "God has most right to modesty from you.”

وَعَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «احْفَظْ عَوْرَتَكَ إِلَّا مِنْ زَوْجَتِكَ أَو مَا ملكت يَمِينك» فَقلت: يَا رَسُول الله أَفَرَأَيْت إِن كَانَ الرَّجُلُ خَالِيًا؟ قَالَ: «فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يستحيى مِنْهُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ

Hakim b. Hizam said God's Messenger forbade him to sell anything which was not in his possession.

In a version by Abu Dawud and Nasa’i, he had said, “Messenger of God, a man comes to me and wants me to sell him something, but I do not have it and so I buy it for him from the market.” He replied, “Do not sell what you do not possess.”
وَعَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَ: نَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَبِيعَ مَا ليسَ عندِي. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ فِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُ وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ: قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَأْتِينِي الرَّجُلُ فَيُرِيدُ مِنِّي الْبَيْعَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي فَأَبْتَاعُ لَهُ مِنَ السُّوقِ قَالَ: «لَا تبِعْ مَا ليسَ عندَكَ»

Anas told of a man coming to the Prophet and saying, “Messenger of God, I intend to make a journey, so give me provisions.” He replied, “May God provide you with piety!” He asked for more, so he added, “And forgive your sin.” He said, “Say more, you for whom I would give my father and mother as ransom,” and he added, “And give you abundance of good wherever you are,”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَزَوِّدْنِي فَقَالَ: «زَوَّدَكَ اللَّهُ التَّقْوَى» . قَالَ: زِدْنِي قَالَ: «وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ» قَالَ: زِدْنِي بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي قَالَ: «وَيَسَّرَ لكَ الْخَيْر حيثُما كُنْتَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

Abdullah b. Abi Aufa (Allah be pleased with him) reported:
We travelled with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) as he had been observing fast. When the sun sank he said: So and so, get down and prepare barley meal for us. The rest of the hadith is the same.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
It was said: "O Messenger of Allah, we want to come to the mosque, but the path that we walk upon is impure." The Messenger of Allah said: "Some parts of the earth purify others."

It was narrated that Jabir said:
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I live in a cold land, so how should I have a bath to cleanse myself from sexual impurity?' He said: 'As for me, I pour three handfuls of water over my head.'"

It was narrated from 'Aishah that:
The Messenger of Allah would become sexually impure then sleep as he was, without touching water. (Da'if)Sufyan said: "I mentioned this Hadith one day, and Isma'il said to me: 'O young man, you should support this Hadith with something else.'"

It was narrated that Anas said:
"Banu Salimah wanted to move from their homes to somewhere near the mosque, but the Prophet did not want the outskirts of Al-madinah to be left vacant, so he said: 'O Banu Salimah, do you not hope for the reward of your footsteps?' So they stayed (where they were)."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أَرَادَتْ بَنُو سَلِمَةَ أَنْ يَتَحَوَّلُوا، مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ إِلَى قُرْبِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَكَرِهَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ يُعْرُوا الْمَدِينَةَ فَقَالَ
" يَا بَنِي سَلِمَةَ أَلاَ تَحْتَسِبُونَ آثَارَكُمْ " . فَأَقَامُوا .

Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with them, said that:
Allah's Messenger said: "They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whom should I treat kindly?' He said: 'Your mother.' He said: 'Then who?' He said :'Your mother." He said: 'Then who?' He said: 'Your father'. He said : 'Then who?' He said: 'The next closest and the next closest.'"

Sunan Ibn Majah 2243
It was narrated from 'Aishah that:
a man bought a slave and put him to work, then he found some defect in him, so he returned him. He (the seller) said: "O Messenger of Allah he put my slave to work." The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "A slave's earnings belong to his guarantor."

It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed said:
"Prices rose at the time of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and they said: 'Why do you not fix the food prices, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I hope that when I leave you, no one among you will be demanding restitution for a wrong that I have done to him."'

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Buraidah that his father said:
“A woman came to-the Prophet (SAW) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah (SAW), I gave my mother a slave girl of mine, and she has died.' The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Allah (SWT) has rewarded you, and returned to you your inheritance (without your seeking that.' ”

It was
narrated from ‘Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, that some
people said:
“O Messenger of Allah, some people bring us meat, and
we
do not know whether the Name of Allah has been mentioned over it
or
not.” He said: “Say: Bismillah and eat.’ They were new in
Islam.

It was
narrated that ‘Adi bin Hatim said:
“I said: ‘O Messenger of
Allah, we hunt game but we cannot find anything but the sharp edge of
a stone or stick (with which to slaughter it).’ He said: ‘Cause
the
blood to flow with whatever you want, and mention the Name of
Allah
over it.’”

narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:
“Some honey was given

a gift to the Prophet (saw), and he shared among us spoonful by
spoonful. I took my spoonful then I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah,
can I
have another?’ He said: ‘Yes.’”

" نَعَمْ " .

narrated from Mughirah bin Shu’bah that the Messenger of Allah
(saw) said:
“O Sufyan bin Sahl, do not let your garment hang, for
Allah does not like those who let their garments hang below the
ankles.’”

narrated that Anas bin Malik said:
“They said: ‘O Messenger of
Allah, is Hajj (required) every year?’ He said: ‘If I were to say

it would have become obligatory, and if it were to become
obligatory,
you would not (be able to) do it, and if you did not do
it you would
be punished.’”

It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
Husain bin ‘Awf told me: I
said:
“O Messenger of Allah, the command for Hajj has come but my
father
cannot perform Hajj unless he is tied to a saddle.” Some time
passed, then he said: “Perform Hajj on behalf of your father.”

" حُجَّ عَنْ أَبِيكَ " .

turned to face the Stone, then he put his lips on it and wept for a
long time. Then he turned and saw ‘Umar bin Khattab weeping. He
said:
‘O ‘Umar, this is the place where tears should be shed.’”

" يَا عُمَرُ هَاهُنَا تُسْكَبُ الْعَبَرَاتُ " .

circumambulating this House or praying at any time he wants of the

or night.”

narrated from Ziyad bin ‘Ilaqah that he heard Mughirah say:
“The
Messenger of Allah (saw) stood (in prayer) until his feet became
swollen. It was said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, Allah has forgiven you
your past and future sins.’ He said: ‘Should I not be a thankful
slave?’”
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلاَقَةَ، سَمِعَ الْمُغِيرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ حَتَّى تَوَرَّمَتْ قَدَمَاهُ . فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ . قَالَ
" أَفَلاَ أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4114
It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw)
took
hold of some part of my body and said: ‘O ‘Abdullah, be in this
world like a stranger, or one who is passing through, and consider
yourself as one of the people of the graves.’”
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِبَعْضِ جَسَدِي فَقَالَ
" يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ كُنْ فِي الدُّنْيَا كَأَنَّكَ غَرِيبٌ أَوْ كَأَنَّكَ عَابِرُ سَبِيلٍ وَعُدَّ نَفْسَكَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقُبُورِ " .
