Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "O Muslim women, a woman neighbor should not consider even a goat's hoof too insignificant a gift to give to her neighbor."

Narrated Abu Mahdhura (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) taught him the Adhan (call to prayer) and he (the narrator) mentioned the Tarji' in it.
[Muslim reported it, but mentioned the phrase (Takbir) "Allah is the Most Great" at its beginning just twice.

Sunan Abi Dawud 1566
The aforesaid tradition has also been narrated by ‘Umar bin Ya’la through a different chain of narrators, like the tradition of ring. Sufyan, a narrator, was asked How do you pay zakat on it. He said You may combine it with other (ornaments).

Narrated Anas:
The Prophet (saws) as saying: There is no infection* and no evil omen, and I like a good omen. Good omen means a good word.
* The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false.

We used to employ people to till land for a share of its produce* and see no harm in it till Rafi' b. Khadij asserted that the Prophet forbade it, so we abandoned it on that account.

Narrated Jabir (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) was standing while delivering the Khutbah (religious talk, sermon) on Friday when a caravan from Syria arrived. The people flocked towards it till no one was left [with the Prophet (SAW)] except twelve men.

Sahih Muslim 1361 b
Nafi' b. Jubair reported that Marwan b. al-Hakam (Allah be pleased with him) addressed people and made mention of Mecca and its inhabitants and its sacredness, but he made no mention of Medina, its inhabitants and its sacredness. Rafi' b. Khadij called to him and said:
What is this that I hear you making mention of Mecca and its inhabitants and its sacredness, but you did not make mention of Medina and its inhabitants and its sacredness, while the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) has also declared sacred (the area) between its two lava lands (Medina)? And (we have record of this) with us written on Khaulani parchment. If you like, I can read it out to you. Thereupon Marwan became silent, and then Said: I too have heard some part of it.
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ قَعْنَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، أَنَّ مَرْوَانَ بْنَ الْحَكَمِ، خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَذَكَرَ مَكَّةَ وَأَهْلَهَا وَحُرْمَتَهَا وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَهْلَهَا وَحُرْمَتَهَا فَنَادَاهُ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ فَقَالَ مَا لِي أَسْمَعُكَ ذَكَرْتَ مَكَّةَ وَأَهْلَهَا وَحُرْمَتَهَا وَلَمْ تَذْكُرِ الْمَدِينَةَ وَأَهْلَهَا وَحُرْمَتَهَا وَقَدْ حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا بَيْنَ لاَبَتَيْهَا وَذَلِكَ عِنْدَنَا فِي أَدِيمٍ خَوْلاَنِيٍّ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَقْرَأْتُكَهُ . قَالَ فَسَكَتَ مَرْوَانُ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَدْ سَمِعْتُ بَعْضَ ذَلِكَ .

Narrated Jabalah bin Suhaim :
That a man asked Ibn 'Umar about the Udhiyah, "Is it obligatory?" So he said: "The Messenger of Allah (saws) performed the Udhiyah as did the Muslims." He repeated the question. So he said: "Do you understand ?" The Messenger of Allah (saws) slaughtered as did the Muslims."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الأُضْحِيَةِ، أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ فَقَالَ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ . فَأَعَادَهَا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَتَعْقِلُ ضَحَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّ الأُضْحِيَةَ لَيْسَتْ بِوَاجِبَةٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا سُنَّةٌ مِنْ سُنَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُسْتَحَبُّ أَنْ يُعْمَلَ بِهَا وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ .

Narrated 'Ali:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "There are six courtesies due from a Muslim to another Muslim: To give Salam to him when he meets him, to accept his invitation when he invites him, to reply to him when he sneezes, to visit him when he is ill, to follow his funeral when he dies, and to love for him what he loves for himself."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ سِتٌّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ وَيَتْبَعُ جَنَازَتَهُ إِذَا مَاتَ وَيُحِبُّ لَهُ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي أَيُّوبَ وَالْبَرَاءِ وَأَبِي مَسْعُودٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي الْحَارِثِ الأَعْوَرِ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4803
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:
"A man killed another man during the time of the Messenger of Allah, and the Prophet set the Diyah at twelve thousand. And he mentioned His saying: And they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His Bounty. concerning them taking the Dyah." (Hasan)

Narrated Furat ibn Hayyan:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) commanded to kill him: he was a spy of AbuSufyan and an ally of a man of the Ansar. He passed a circle of the Ansar and said: I am a Muslim. A man from the Ansar said, Messenger of Allah, he is saying that he is a Muslim. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: There are people among you in whose faith we trust. Furat ibn Hayyan is one of them.

" إِنَّ مِنْكُمْ رِجَالاً نَكِلُهُمْ إِلَى إِيمَانِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ فُرَاتُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ " .

Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (saws) said: Conciliation between Muslims is permissible. The narrator Ahmad added in his version: "except the conciliation which makes lawful unlawful and unlawful lawful." Sulayman ibn Dawud added: The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: Muslims are on (i.e. stick to) their conditions.

Sunan Abi Dawud 3605
Ash-Sha'bi said:
A Muslim was about to die at Daquqa', but he did not find any Muslim to call him for witness to his will. So he called two men of the people of the Book for witness. Then they came to Kufah, and approaching AbuMusa al-Ash'ari they informed him (about his) will. They brought his inheritance and will. Al-Ash'ari said: This is an incident (like) which happened in the time of the Messenger of Allah (saws) and never occurred after him. So he made them to swear by Allah after the afternoon prayer to the effect that they had not misappropriated, nor told a lie, nor changed, nor concealed, nor altered, and that it was the will of the man and his inheritance. He then executed their witness.
حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ بِدَقُوقَاءَ هَذِهِ وَلَمْ يَجِدْ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُشْهِدُهُ عَلَى وَصِيَّتِهِ فَأَشْهَدَ رَجُلَيْنِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ فَقَدِمَا الْكُوفَةَ فَأَتَيَا أَبَا مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيَّ فَأَخْبَرَاهُ وَقَدِمَا بِتَرِكَتِهِ وَوَصِيَّتِهِ . فَقَالَ الأَشْعَرِيُّ هَذَا أَمْرٌ لَمْ يَكُنْ بَعْدَ الَّذِي كَانَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَأَحْلَفَهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ بِاللَّهِ مَا خَانَا وَلاَ كَذِبَا وَلاَ بَدَّلاَ وَلاَ كَتَمَا وَلاَ غَيَّرَا وَإِنَّهَا لَوَصِيَّةُ الرَّجُلِ وَتَرِكَتُهُ فَأَمْضَى شَهَادَتَهُمَا .

Narrated 'Abd Allah b. 'Amr:
The Prophet (saws) as saying to him: Complete the recitation of the Qu'ran in one month. He said: I have more strength. He (the Prophet) said: Complete the recitation in twenty days. He again said: I have more energy. He said : Recite in fifteen days. He again said: I have more energy. He said: Recite in ten days. He again said: I have more energy. He said: Recite in seven days, do not add to it.
Abu Dawud said: The tradition narrated by Muslim is more perfect.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2159
The aforesaid tradition has also been transmitted by Ibn Ishaq through a different chain of narrators. This version has the traditional word “a menstrual course” in the phrase “till she is free from a menstrual course”. This is a misunderstanding on the part of the narrator Abu Mu’awiyah. This is correct in the tradition of Abu Sa’id Al Khudri. This version has the additional words “he who believes in Allaah and the Last Day should not ride on a mount belonging to the spoil of Muslims and when he makes it emaciated returns it; he who believes in Allaah and the Last Day should not put on cloth belonging to the spoils of Muslims and when makes it old (shabby) returns it.
Abu Dawud said “The word “menstrual course” is not guarded. This is a misunderstanding on the part of Abu Mu’awiyah”
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ " حَتَّى يَسْتَبْرِئَهَا بِحَيْضَةٍ " . زَادَ فِيهِ { بِحَيْضَةٍ وَهُوَ وَهَمٌ مِنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَهُوَ صَحِيحٌ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ زَادَ } " وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلاَ يَرْكَبْ دَابَّةً مِنْ فَىْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَعْجَفَهَا رَدَّهَا فِيهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلاَ يَلْبَسْ ثَوْبًا مِنْ فَىْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى إِذَا أَخْلَقَهُ رَدَّهُ فِيهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْحَيْضَةُ لَيْسَتْ بِمَحْفُوظَةٍ وَهُوَ وَهَمٌ مِنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1018
‘Imran b. Husain said :
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) gave the salutation at the end of three rakahs in the afternoon prayer, then went into the apartment (according to the version of maslamah). A man called al-Khirbaq who had long arms got up and said ; has the prayer been shortened, Messenger of Allah ? He came out angrily trailing his cloak and said : Is he telling the truth ? they said; Yes. He then prayed that rakah, then gave the salutation, then made two prostrations, then gave the salutation.

" أَصَدَقَ " . قَالُوا نَعَمْ . فَصَلَّى تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْهَا ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2920
Abu Sa'id al-Khudrl said that a corpse was brought to the Prophet on a bier for him to pray over it and he asked the people whether their friend owed anything. On being told that he did, he asked whether he had left anything to discharge it, and when they replied that he had not, he told them to pray over him. But ‘Ali b. Abu Talib said, “I shall be responsible for his debt, Messenger of God,” so he went forward and prayed over him. A version has something to the same effect, adding that he said, “May God redeem your pledges from hell as you have redeemed the pledges of your brother Muslim! No Muslim will discharge his brother’s debt without God redeeming his pledges on the day of resurrection.”
It is transmitted in Sharh as- sunna.

Sahih Muslim 42 b
Ibrahim b. Sa'id al-Jauhari has narrated this hadith with the same words in addition to these. The Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) was asked as to who amongst the Muslims is better, and the rest of the hadith was narrated like this.

Salamah bin Al-Akwa' (May Allah be pleased with him) reported on the authority of his father:
A man ate with his left hand in the presence of Messenger of Allah (PBUH), whereupon he said, "Eat with your right hand." The man said: "I cannot do that." Thereupon he (the Prophet (PBUH)) said, "May you not be able to do that." It was vanity that prevented him from doing it and he could not raise it (the right hand) up to his mouth afterwards.

Abu Huraira said that a man came to the Prophet and told him he had contracted to marry a woman of the Ansar, to which he replied, “Then look at her, for there is something in the eyes of the Ansar.”*
* Meaning that some of them have features which cause aversion.

عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ: «فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّ فِي أَعْيُنِ الْأَنْصَارِ شَيْئًا» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Abu Dharr told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “If anyone claims what is not his he does not belong to us, and let him come to his seat in hell.”

وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنِ ادَّعَى مَا لَيْسَ لَهُ فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
