Sunan Abi Dawud 4290 b
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
The Prophet (saws) said: A man called al-Harith ibn Harrath will come forth from Ma Wara an-Nahr. His army will be led by a man called Mansur who will establish or consolidate things for Muhammad's family as Quraysh consolidated them for the Messenger of Allah (saws). Every believer must help him, or he said: respond to his sermons.
وَقَالَ هَارُونُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي قَيْسٍ عَنْ مُطَرِّفِ بْنِ طَرِيفٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ عَنْ هِلاَلِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا - رضى الله عنه - يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ وَرَاءِ النَّهْرِ يُقَالُ لَهُ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ حَرَّاثٍ عَلَى مُقَدِّمَتِهِ رَجُلٌ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَنْصُورٌ يُوَطِّئُ أَوْ يُمَكِّنُ لآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا مَكَّنَتْ قُرَيْشٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَجَبَ عَلَى كُلِّ مُؤْمِنٍ نَصْرُهُ " . أَوْ قَالَ " إِجَابَتُهُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4401
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
Ibn Abbas said: A lunatic woman passed by Ali ibn AbuTalib. He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as Uthman mentioned. This version has: Do you not remember that the Messenger of Allah (saws) has said: There are three whose actions are not recorded: a lunatic whose mind is deranged till he is restored to consciousness, a sleeper till he awakes, and a boy till he reaches puberty?
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي ظَبْيَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ مُرَّ عَلَى عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رضى الله عنه بِمَعْنَى عُثْمَانَ . قَالَ أَوَمَا تَذْكُرُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" رُفِعَ الْقَلَمُ عَنْ ثَلاَثَةٍ عَنِ الْمَجْنُونِ الْمَغْلُوبِ عَلَى عَقْلِهِ حَتَّى يُفِيقَ وَعَنِ النَّائِمِ حَتَّى يَسْتَيْقِظَ وَعَنِ الصَّبِيِّ حَتَّى يَحْتَلِمَ " . قَالَ صَدَقْتَ قَالَ فَخَلَّى عَنْهَا سَبِيلَهَا .

Narrated Abu Firas:
'Umar b. al-Khattab (ra) addressed us and said: I did not send my collectors (of zakat) so that they strike your bodies and that they take your property. If that is done with someone and he appeals to me, I shall take retaliation on him. Amr ibn al-'As said: If any man (i.e. governor) inflicts disciplinary punishment on his subjects, would you take retaliation on him too? He said: Yes, by Him in Whose hand my soul is, I shall take retaliation on him. I saw that the Messenger of Allah (saws) has given retaliation on himself.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي فِرَاسٍ، قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رضى الله عنه فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ عُمَّالِي لِيَضْرِبُوا أَبْشَارَكُمْ وَلاَ لِيَأْخُذُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ فَمَنْ فُعِلَ بِهِ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَرْفَعْهُ إِلَىَّ أَقُصُّهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَدَّبَ بَعْضَ رَعِيَّتِهِ أَتَقُصُّهُ مِنْهُ قَالَ إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ أَقُصُّهُ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَقَصَّ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ .

Narrated AbuHurayrah:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: He then mentioned a tradition like it. This version adds: When they propound that, say: "Say Allah is one. Allah is He to Whom men repair. He has not begotten and He has not been begotten, and no one is equal to Him." Then one should spit three times on his left side and seek refuge in Allah from Satan.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، حَدَّثَنَا سَلَمَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، مَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ " فَإِذَا قَالُوا ذَلِكَ فَقُولُوا { اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ * اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ * لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ * وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ } ثُمَّ لْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلاَثًا وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4912
Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (saws) said: It is not allowable for a believer to keep from a believer for more than three days. If three days pass, he should meet him and give him a salutation, and if he replies to it they will both have shared in the reward; but if he does not reply he will bear his sin (according to Ahmad's version) and the one who gives the salutation will have come forth from the sin of keeping apart.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ السَّرْخَسِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَامِرٍ، أَخْبَرَهُمْ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِلاَلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَحِلُّ لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ مُؤْمِنًا فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ فَإِنْ مَرَّتْ بِهِ ثَلاَثٌ فَلْيَلْقَهُ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ رَدَّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمَ فَقَدِ اشْتَرَكَا فِي الأَجْرِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِالإِثْمِ " . زَادَ أَحْمَدُ " وَخَرَجَ الْمُسَلِّمُ مِنَ الْهِجْرَةِ " .

Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to say when he lay down: O Allah, I seek refuge in Thy noble Person and in Thy perfect Words from the evil of what Thou seizest by its forelock; O Allah! Thou removest debt and sin; O Allah! thy troop's not routed, Thy promise is not broken and the riches of the rich do not avail against Thee. Glory and praise be unto Thee!.

" اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ الْكَرِيمِ وَكَلِمَاتِكَ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَنْتَ آخِذٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ تَكْشِفُ الْمَغْرَمَ وَالْمَأْثَمَ اللَّهُمَّ لاَ يُهْزَمُ جُنْدُكَ وَلاَ يُخْلَفُ وَعْدُكَ وَلاَ يَنْفَعُ ذَا الْجَدِّ مِنْكَ الْجَدُّ سُبْحَانَكَ وَبِحَمْدِكَ " .

Narrated AbuUqbah:
AbdurRahman ibn AbuUqbah quoted his father AbuUqbah who was a client from the people of Persia as saying: I was present at Uhud along with the Messenger of Allah (saws), and on smiting one of the polytheists I said: Take this from me who is the young Persian. The Messenger of Allah (saws) then turned to me and said: Why did you not say: Take this from me who is the young Ansari?

" فَهَلاَّ قُلْتَ خُذْهَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا الْغُلاَمُ الأَنْصَارِيُّ " .

Abu Tha’labah al-khushani said that he asked the Messenger of Allah(may peace be upon him):
We live in the neighbourhood of the People of the Book and they cook in their pots(the flesh of) swine and drink wine in their vessels. The Messenger of Allah(may peace be upon him) said: If you find any other pots, then eat in them and drink. But if you do not find any others, then wash them with water and eat and drink (In them).
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ زَبْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، مُسْلِمِ بْنِ مِشْكَمٍ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِنَّا نُجَاوِرُ أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ وَهُمْ يَطْبُخُونَ فِي قُدُورِهِمُ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَشْرَبُونَ فِي آنِيَتِهِمُ الْخَمْرَ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنْ وَجَدْتُمْ غَيْرَهَا فَكُلُوا فِيهَا وَاشْرَبُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا غَيْرَهَا فَارْحَضُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ وَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا " .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2747
Sulaiman b. Abu ‘Abdallah said he saw Sa'd b. Abu Waqqas seize a man who was hunting in the sacred territory of Medina which God’s messenger had declared to be sacred and take away his clothes from him. His patrons came to him and spoke to him about it, but he replied, “God’s messenger declared this sacred territory to be sacred, saying that if anyone caught someone hunting in it he should take from him what he had, so I will not return to you a provision which God’s messenger has given me; but if you wish I shall pay you its value.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ أَخَذَ رَجُلًا يَصِيدُ فِي حَرَمِ الْمَدِينَةِ الَّذِي حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَلَبَهُ ثِيَابَهُ فَجَاءَهُ مَوَالِيهِ فَكَلَّمُوهُ فِيهِ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَرَّمَ هَذَا الْحَرَمَ وَقَالَ: «مَنْ أَخَذَ أَحَدًا يَصِيدُ فِيهِ فَلْيَسْلُبْهُ» . فَلَا أَرُدُّ عَلَيْكُمْ طُعْمَةً أَطْعَمَنِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَكِنْ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ دفعتُ إِليكم ثمنَه. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 1778
Abu Huraira told how when God’s messenger sent ‘Umar to collect sadaqa people said that Ibn Jamil, Khalid b. al-Walid and al-‘Abbas refused. So God’s messenger said,
“Ibn Jamil is not [so much] objecting, but he was poor and God and His messenger enriched him. * As for Khalid, you are wronging him, for he has kept back his coats of mail and weapons to use them in God’s path. As for al-‘Abbas, I shall be responsible for it and an equal amount along with it.”
Then he said, “Did you not know, ‘Umar, that a man’s paternal uncle is of the same stock as his father?”

* This sentence has given commentators trouble, and several explanations of the meaning are given. It appears best to understand it as a seeming defence of Ibn Jamil which is really a rebuke. The idea is therefore that the seriousness of his action is not so much in his actual objection to paying zakat as in his being induced to do this by ingratitude to God who has enriched him.
عَن أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ. قَالَ: بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُمَرَ عَلَى الصَّدَقَةِ. فَقِيلَ: مَنَعَ ابْنُ جَمِيلٍ وَخَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ وَالْعَبَّاسُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا يَنْقِمُ ابْنُ جَمِيلٍ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ كَانَ فَقِيرًا فَأَغْنَاهُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ. وَأَمَّا خَالِدٌ فَإِنَّكُمْ تَظْلِمُونَ خَالِدًا. قَدِ احْتَبَسَ أَدْرَاعَهُ وَأَعْتُدَهُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ. وَأَمَّا الْعَبَّاسُ فَهِيَ عَلَيَّ. وَمِثْلُهَا مَعَهَا» . ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يَا عُمَرُ أَمَا شَعَرْتَ أَن عَم الرجل صنوا أَبِيه؟»

Mishkat al-Masabih 4622
Abu Razin al-‘Uqaili reported God’s messenger as saying:
“A believer’s vision is a forty-sixth part of prophecy. It flutters over a man as long as he does not talk about it, but when he talks about it it settles.”
And I think he said, “Talk only to a friend or one with sound judgment."
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
In Abu Dawud’s version he said, The vision flutters over a man as long as it is not interpreted, but when it is interpreted it settles.” And I think he said, “Tell it only to one who loves him or one who has judgment.”
عَن أبي رزين العقيليِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ سِتَّةٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنَ النُّبُوَّةِ وَهِيَ عَلَى رِجْلِ طَائِرٍ مَا لَمْ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا فَإِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَا وَقَعَتْ» . وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ: «لَا تُحَدِّثْ إِلَّا حَبِيبًا أَوْ لَبِيبًا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ قَالَ: «الرُّؤْيَا عَلَى رِجْلِ طَائِرٍ مَا لَمْ تُعْبَرْ فَإِذَا عُبِرَتْ وَقَعَتْ» . وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ: «وَلَا تَقُصَّهَا إِلَّا عَلَى وَادٍّ أَوْ ذِي رأيٍ»

`Abdallah b. Mas'ud reported God's messenger as saying, "The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man of my family whose name will be the same as mine.'
Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
In a version by the latter he said, "If only one day of this world remained God would lengthen that day till He raised up in it a man who belongs to me (or, to my family) whose name is the same as mine and whose fathers name is the same as my father's, who will fill the earth with equity and justice as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny."
Aba Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أهلِ بَيْتِي يُواطِىءُ اسمُه اسْمِي» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ.
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُ: «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللَّهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ رَجُلًا مِنِّي - أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي - يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِيَ وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وجورا»

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "A man visited a brother of his in a village, so
Allah put an angel in wait for him on the road. He asked, 'Where are you
going?' He replied, 'To a brother of mine in this village.' He said, 'Is
he responsible for some blessing you have?' He said, 'No, I love him for
Allah.' He said, 'I am a messenger of Allah to you. Allah loves you as
you love him.'"
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: زَارَ رَجُلٌ أَخًا لَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ، فَأَرْصَدَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَلَكًا عَلَى مَدْرَجَتِهِ، فَقَالَ: أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ؟ قَالَ: أَخًا لِي فِي هَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ، فَقَالَ: هَلْ لَهُ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ تَرُبُّهَا؟ قَالَ: لاَ، إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فِي اللهِ، قَالَ: فَإِنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ إِلَيْكَ، أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَحَبَّكَ كَمَا أَحْبَبْتَهُ.

Ibn 'Umar said, "We were on a raid and the people fled. We said,
'How can we meet the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
when we have run away? It has been revealed, "unless he is withdrawing
to rejoin the fight" (8:16)." We said, 'We will not go to Madina and
then no one will see us.' Then we said, 'Perhaps we should go.' The Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came from the Fajr prayer and
we said, 'We fled.' He said, 'You are those rejoining the fight."' We kissed
his hand. He said, 'I am your group.*'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي غَزْوَةٍ، فَحَاصَ النَّاسُ حَيْصَةً، قُلْنَا: كَيْفَ نَلْقَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ فَرَرْنَا؟ فَنَزَلَتْ: {إِلاَّ مُتَحَرِّفًا لِقِتَالٍ}، فَقُلْنَا: لاَ نَقْدِمُ الْمَدِينَةَ، فَلاَ يَرَانَا أَحَدٌ، فَقُلْنَا: لَوْ قَدِمْنَا، فَخَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ، قُلْنَا: نَحْنُ الْفَرَّارُونَ، قَالَ: أَنْتُمُ الْعَكَّارُونَ، فَقَبَّلْنَا يَدَهُ، قَالَ: أَنَا فِئَتُكُمْ.

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri and Abu Hurairah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) appointed a man over Khaibar and he brought him dates of a very fine quality. Allah's Messenger (SAW) asked, "Are all the dates of Khaibar like this?" He replied, "I swear by Allah that they are certainly not, O Allah's Messenger. We take one Sa' of this kind for two, and even for three (of lesser quality). So Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Do not do so. Sell the mixed dates for Dirhams, then buy the very fine dates with the Dirhams." And he said that the same applies when things are sold by weight.

وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ, وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- { ;أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -اِسْتَعْمَلَ رَجُلًا عَلَى خَيْبَرٍ, فَجَاءَهُ بِتَمْرٍ جَنِيبٍ, فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَكُلُّ تَمْرِ خَيْبَرَ هَكَذَا?
" فَقَالَ: لَا, وَاَللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ, إِنَّا لَنَأْخُذُ اَلصَّاعَ مِنْ هَذَا بِالصَّاعَيْنِ وَالثَّلَاثَةِ 1 فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -" لَا تَفْعَلْ، بِعِ اَلْجَمْعَ بِالدَّرَاهِمِ, ثُمَّ اِبْتَعْ بِالدَّرَاهِمِ جَنِيبًا } وَقَالَ فِي اَلْمِيزَانِ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 2 .

One night I missed Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) from the bed, and when I sought him my hand touched the soles of his feet while he was in the state of prostration; they (feet) were raised and he was saying:" O Allah, I seek refuge in Thy pleasure from Thy anger, and in Thy forgiveness from Thy punishment, and I seek refuge in Thee from Thee (Thy anger). I cannot reckon Thy praise. Thou art as Thou hast lauded Thyself."

" اللَّهُمَّ أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لاَ أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ " .

The time of the noon prayer (lasts) as long as it is not afternoon, and the time of the afternoon prayer (lasts) as long as the sun does not turn pale and the time of the evening prayer (lasts) as long as the spreading appearance of the redness above the horizon after sunset does not sink down, and the, time of the night prayer (lasts) by midnight and the time of the morning prayer (lasts) as long as the sun dots not rise.

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When it is hot, make delay (in the noon prayer) till it cools down, for the intensity of beat is from the Exhalation of Hell; and he also mentioned that Hellfire complained to the Lord (about the congested atmosphere) and so it was permitted to take two exhalations during the whole year, one exhalation during the winter and one exhalation during the summer.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى الأَنْصَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، مَوْلَى الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِذَا كَانَ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فَيْحِ جَهَنَّمَ " . وَذَكَرَ " أَنَّ النَّارَ اشْتَكَتْ إِلَى رَبِّهَا فَأَذِنَ لَهَا فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ بِنَفَسَيْنِ نَفَسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ " .

" لاَ حَسَدَ إِلاَّ فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَالاً فَسَلَّطَهُ عَلَى هَلَكَتِهِ فِي الْحَقِّ وَرَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ حِكْمَةً فَهُوَ يَقْضِي بِهَا وَيُعَلِّمُهَا " .

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
We are the last (but) we would be the first on the Day of Resurrection, and we would be the first to enter Paradise, but that they were given the Book before us and we were given after them. They disagreed and Allah guided us aright on whatever they disagreed regarding the truth. And it was this day of theirs about which they disagreed, but Allah guided us to it, and that is Friday for us; the next day is for the Jews and the day following for the Christians.

" نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ الأَوَّلُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَنَحْنُ أَوَّلُ مَنْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ بَيْدَ أَنَّهُمْ أُوتُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِنَا وَأُوتِينَاهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ فَاخْتَلَفُوا فَهَدَانَا اللَّهُ لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ فَهَذَا يَوْمُهُمُ الَّذِي اخْتَلَفُوا فِيهِ هَدَانَا اللَّهُ لَهُ - قَالَ يَوْمُ الْجُمُعَةِ - فَالْيَوْمُ لَنَا وَغَدًا لِلْيَهُودِ وَبَعْدَ غَدٍ لِلنَّصَارَى " .

'A'isha reported:
Abu Bakr came to see me and I had two girls with me from among the girls of the Ansar and they were singing what the Ansar recited to one another at the Battle of Bu'ath. They were not, however, singing girls. Upon this Abu Bakr said: What I (the playing of) this wind instrument of Satan in the house of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and this too on 'Id day? Upon this the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Abu Bakr, every people have a festival and it is our festival (so let them play on).

'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was wrapped in a Yamani wrapper which belonged to 'Abdullah b Abu Bakr; then it was removed from him, and he was shrouded in three cotton sheets of white Yamani stuff from Sahul among which was neither a shirt nor a turban. 'Abdullah took up the Hullah and said:
I would be shrouded in it, but then said: How is it that I should be shrouded in it in which the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was not shrouded! So he gave it in charity.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أُدْرِجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حُلَّةٍ يَمَنِيَّةٍ كَانَتْ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ نُزِعَتْ عَنْهُ وَكُفِّنَ فِي ثَلاَثَةِ أَثْوَابٍ سُحُولٍ يَمَانِيَةٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا عِمَامَةٌ وَلاَ قَمِيصٌ فَرَفَعَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْحُلَّةَ فَقَالَ أُكَفَّنُ فِيهَا . ثُمَّ قَالَ لَمْ يُكَفَّنْ فِيهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأُكَفَّنُ فِيهَا . فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا .

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported that when Mu'awiya prescribed half a sa' of wheat equal to one sa' of dates, he (Abu Sa'id al-Khudri) objected to it, and said:
I would take out (Sadaqat-ul-Fitr) but that which I used to bring forth during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) one sa' of dates, or one sa' of raisins, or one sa' of barley, or one sa' of cheese.

Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: Spend according to your means; and do not hoard, for Allah will withhold from you.

" ارْضَخِي مَا اسْتَطَعْتِ وَلاَ تُوعِي فَيُوعِيَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ " .

Sahih Muslim 1156 e
'A'isha, the Mother of the Believers (Allah be pleased with her), reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to fast (so continuously) that we said that he would not break, and did not fast at all till we said that he would not fast. And I did not see the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) completing the fast of a month, but that of Ramadan, and I did not see him fasting more in any other month than that of Sha'ban.

Abu Bakr bin Qais Al-Ash'ari narrated that his father said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Two gardens of silver, their vessels and everything in them; and two gardens of gold, their vessels and everything in them, and nothing between the people and their seeing their Lord, the Blessed and Exalted, except the Veil of Pride covering His Face in the Garden of Eden (Jannat 'Adn)."

It was narrated that Abu Musa said:
"The Messenger of Allah stood up among us and said five things. He said: 'Allah does not sleep, and it is not befitting that He should sleep. He lowers the Scales and raises them. The deed done during the day is taken up to Him before the deed done during the night, and the deed done during the night before the deed done during the day. His Veil is Light, and if He were to remove it, the glory of his Face would burn everything of His creation, as far as His gaze reaches.'"

" إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنَامُ وَلاَ يَنْبَغِي لَهُ أَنْ يَنَامَ يَخْفِضُ الْقِسْطَ وَيَرْفَعُهُ يُرْفَعُ إِلَيْهِ عَمَلُ اللَّيْلِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ النَّهَارِ وَعَمَلُ النَّهَارِ قَبْلَ عَمَلِ اللَّيْلِ حِجَابُهُ النُّورُ لَوْ كَشَفَهُ لأَحْرَقَتْ سُبُحَاتُ وَجْهِهِ مَا انْتَهَى إِلَيْهِ بَصَرُهُ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ " .

It was narrated from Mundhir bin Jarir that his father said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever introduces a good practice that is followed, he will receive its reward and a reward equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their reward in their slightest. And whoever introduces a bad practice that is followed, he will receive its sin and a burden of sin equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their burden in the slightest.'"

" مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَمِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهَا وَوِزْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا " .

It was narrated from Abu Umamah that:
The Messenger of Allah said: "Use the tooth stick, for the tooth stick purifies the mouth and is pleasing to the Lord. Jibril never came to me but he advised me to use the tooth stick, until I feared that it would be made obligatory for me and my Ummah. Were it not that I fear that it would be too difficult for my Ummah, I would have enjoined it upon them. And I use the tooth stick until I fear that I may make the front of my mouth sore.' (i.e. my gums) (or cause my teeth to fall out due to brushing them so often)."

" تَسَوَّكُوا فَإِنَّ السِّوَاكَ مَطْهَرَةٌ لِلْفَمِ مَرْضَاةٌ لِلرَّبِّ وَمَا جَاءَنِي جِبْرِيلُ إِلاَّ أَوْصَانِي بِالسِّوَاكِ حَتَّى لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ يُفْرَضَ عَلَىَّ وَعَلَى أُمَّتِي وَلَوْلاَ أَنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي لَفَرَضْتُهُ لَهُمْ وَإِنِّي لأَسْتَاكُ حَتَّى لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ أُحْفِيَ مَقَادِمَ فَمِي " .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Ten things are connected to the Fitrah: trimming the mustache, letting the beard grow, using the tooth stick, rinsing out the nostrils with water, clipping the nails, washing the joints, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubic hairs, washing the private parts with water.'"(One of the narrators) Zakariyya said: "Mus'ab said: 'I have forgotten the tenth thing, but it may have been rinsing out the mouth.'"

" عَشْرٌ مِنَ الْفِطْرَةِ قَصُّ الشَّارِبِ وَإِعْفَاءُ اللِّحْيَةِ وَالسِّوَاكُ وَالاِسْتِنْشَاقُ بِالْمَاءِ وَقَصُّ الأَظْفَارِ وَغَسْلُ الْبَرَاجِمِ وَنَتْفُ الإِبِطِ وَحَلْقُ الْعَانَةِ وَانْتِقَاصُ الْمَاءِ " . يَعْنِي الاِسْتِنْجَاءَ . قَالَ زَكَرِيَّا قَالَ مُصْعَبٌ وَنَسِيتُ الْعَاشِرَةَ إِلاَّ أَنْ تَكُونَ الْمَضْمَضَةَ .

Zuhri said:
"I had dinner with Walid or Abdul-Malik. When the time for prayer came, I got up to perform ablution. Ja'far bin 'Amr bin Umayyah said: 'I bear witness that my father bore witness, that the Messenger of Allah ate food that had been changed by fire, then he performed prayer, and he did not perform ablution.' (Sahih)
And 'Ali bin 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas said: 'And I bear witness to similar from my father.'"

وَقَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ، عَلَى أَبِي بِمِثْلِ ذَلِكَ .

It was narrated that 'Ubaid bin 'Umair said:
"Aishah heard that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr was telling his wives to undo their braids (when they bathed). She said: 'How odd that Ibn 'Amr would do that! Why does he not tell them to shave their heads? The Messenger of Allah and I used to bathe from a single vessel, and I never did more than pour three handfuls of water over my head.'"

The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever says, when he hears the Mu'adh-dhin, 'Wa ana Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wahdahu la sharika lahu, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu, radaytu Billahi rabban wa bil-islami dinan wa bi muhammadin nabiyyan (And I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, and I am content with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion and Muhammad as my Prophet),' his sins will be forgiven to him."

" مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ رَضِيتُ بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيًّا غُفِرَ لَهُ ذَنْبُهُ " .

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever says when he hears the call to the prayer: "Allahumma Rabba hadhihid-da'watit-tammah was-salatil-qa'imah, ati Muhammadanil-wasilata wal-fadilah, wab'athhu maqaman mahmudanilladhi wa'adtah (O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the prayer to be offered, grant Muhammad the privilege (of intercession) and also the eminence, and resurrect him to the praised position that You have promised)," my intercession for him will be permitted on the Day of Resurrection.'"

It was narrated from Nu'man bin Bashir that :
the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "What you mention of glory of Allah, of Tabsih (Subhan-Allah), Tahlil (Allahu-Akbar) and Tahmid (Al-Hamdu lillah), revolves around the Throne, buzzing like bees, reminding of the one who said it. Wouldn't any one of you like to have, or continue to have, something that reminds of him (in the presence of Allah)?'"

" إِنَّ مِمَّا تَذْكُرُونَ مِنْ جَلاَلِ اللَّهِ التَّسْبِيحَ وَالتَّهْلِيلَ وَالتَّحْمِيدَ يَنْعَطِفْنَ حَوْلَ الْعَرْشِ لَهُنَّ دَوِيٌّ كَدَوِيِّ النَّحْلِ تُذَكِّرُ بِصَاحِبِهَا أَمَا يُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ - أَوْ لاَ يَزَالَ لَهُ - مَنْ يُذَكِّرُ بِهِ " .

It was narrated that Abu Sa'eed bin Mu'alla said:
"The Messenger of Allah(SAW) said to me: 'Shall I not teach you the greatest Surah in the QUran before I leave the masjid?' Then the Propeht(SAW) went to leave, so I reminded him, and he said: Al-hamdulillahi Rabbil-Alameen (All the praise is to Allah, the Lord of all that exists). It is the Seven Oft-Recited Verses, and it is the Grand Quran that has been given to me.'"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُعَلَّى، قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " أَلاَ أُعَلِّمُكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ " . قَالَ فَذَهَبَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ لِيَخْرُجَ فَأَذْكَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ " { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} وَهِيَ السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي وَالْقُرْآنُ الْعَظِيمُ الَّذِي أُوتِيتُهُ " .

It was narrated that Uqbah bin Amir said:
"We said to the Messenger of Allah(SAW): ' You send us and we stay with people who do not show us any hospitality. WHat do you think of that?' The MEssenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'If you stay with people and they give you what a guest deserves, then accept it. If they do not do that , then take from them what they should have offered, which a guest is entitled to.'"

" إِنْ نَزَلْتُمْ بِقَوْمٍ فَأَمَرُوا لَكُمْ بِمَا يَنْبَغِي لِلضَّيْفِ فَاقْبَلُوا وَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلُوا فَخُذُوا مِنْهُمْ حَقَّ الضَّيْفِ الَّذِي يَنْبَغِي لَهُمْ " .

It was narrated that:
Umm Salamah said: “The Messenger of Allah enjoined charity upon us. Zainab, the wife of Abdullah said: 'Will it be accepted as charity on my part if I give charity to my husband who is poor, and to the children of a brother of mine who are orphans, spending such and such on them, and in all circumstances?' He said: 'Yes.'”

" نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَكَانَتْ صَنَاعَ الْيَدَيْنِ .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) swore that he would not enter upon his wives for a month, and he stayed for twenty-nine days until, on the eve of the thirtieth, he entered upon me. I said: 'You swore not to enter upon us for a month.' He said: 'The month may be like this,' and he held up his (ten) fingers three times; 'or the month may be like this,' and he held up his fingers three times, keeping one finger down on the third time."
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَقْسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ لاَ يَدْخُلَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا فَمَكَثَ تِسْعَةً وَعِشْرِينَ يَوْمًا حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ مَسَاءَ ثَلاَثِينَ دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ أَقْسَمْتَ أَنْ لاَ تَدْخُلَ عَلَيْنَا شَهْرًا . فَقَالَ " شَهْرٌ هَكَذَا " . يُرْسِلُ أَصَابِعَهُ فِيهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ " وَشَهْرٌ هَكَذَا " . وَأَرْسَلَ أَصَابِعَهُ كُلَّهَا وَأَمْسَكَ إِصْبَعًا وَاحِدًا فِي الثَّالِثَةِ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2317
It was narrated from Umm Salamah that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
“You refer your disputes to me and I am only human. Perhaps some of you may be more eloquent in presenting your case than others, so I rule in your favor because of what I hear from you. If I pass a judgement in favor of one of you that detracts from his brother's rights, then he should not take it, because it is a piece of fire that is given to him which he will bring forth on the Day Resurrection.”

" إِنَّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ إِلَىَّ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ وَإِنَّمَا أَقْضِي بَيْنَكُمْ عَلَى نَحْوٍ مِمَّا أَسْمَعُ مِنْكُمْ فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ شَيْئًا فَلاَ يَأْخُذْهُ فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنَ النَّارِ يَأْتِي بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2595
It was narrated from Abdullah bin Safwan that :
his father slept in the mosque, using his upper wrap as a pillow, and it was taken from beneath his head. He brought the thief to the Prophet (SAW) and the Prophet (SAW) ordered that his hand be cut off. Safwan said: “O Messenger of Allah , (SAW) I did not want this! I give my upper wrap to him in charity.” The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Why did you not give it to him before you brought him to me?”

" فَهَلاَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ " .

It was narrated that Bara bin Azib said:
“My maternal uncle passed by me - (one of the narrators) Hushaim named him in his narration as Harith bin Amr - and the Prophet (SAW) had given him a banner to carry. I said to him: 'Where are you going?’ He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (SAW) has sent me to a man who married his father's wife after he died, and has commanded me to strike his neck (i.e. execute him).”

(One of the narrators) Ibn Abi Mulaikah said: "When he broke his fast, I heard 'Abdullah bin 'Amr say: 'O Allah! I ask You by Your mercy, which encompasses all things, to forgive me.'"

" إِنَّ لِلصَّائِمِ عِنْدَ فِطْرِهِ لَدَعْوَةً مَا تُرَدُّ " . قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ إِذَا أَفْطَرَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ بِرَحْمَتِكَ الَّتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي .

It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw)
said:
“When the first night of Ramadan comes, the satans and
mischievous
jinns are chained up, and the gates of the Fire are
closed, and none
of its gates are opened. The gates of Paradise are
opened and none of
its gates are closed. And a caller cries out: ‘O
seeker of good,
proceed, O seeker of evil, stop.’ And Allah has necks
(people) whom
He frees (from the Fire), and that happens every day.”

" إِذَا كَانَتْ أَوَّلُ لَيْلَةٍ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ صُفِّدَتِ الشَّيَاطِينُ وَمَرَدَةُ الْجِنِّ وَغُلِّقَتْ أَبْوَابُ النَّارِ فَلَمْ يُفْتَحْ مِنْهَا بَابٌ. وَفُتِحَتْ أَبْوَابُ الْجَنَّةِ فَلَمْ يُغْلَقْ مِنْهَا بَابٌ. وَنَادَى مُنَادٍ: يَا بَاغِيَ الْخَيْرِ أَقْبِلْ. وَيَا بَاغِيَ الشَّرِّ أَقْصِرْ. وَلِلَّهِ عُتَقَاءُ مِنَ النَّارِ. وَذَلِكَ فِي كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 3122
It was
narrated from ‘Aishah and Abu Hurairah that when the Messenger

Allah (saw) wanted to offer a sacrifice, he brought two large, fat,
horned, black-and-white, castrated rams. He slaughtered one on behalf
of his nation, for whoever testified to Allah with monotheism and
that
he had conveyed (the Message), and he slaughtered the other on
behalf
of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (saw).

Sunan Ibn Majah 3199
It was
narrated that Abu Sa’eed said:
“We asked the Messenger of
Allah
(saw) about the fetus. He said: ‘Eat it if you wish, for it is
considered legally slaughtered with the slaughtering of its mother.’”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، وَأَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ وَعَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَنِ الْجَنِينِ فَقَالَ
" كُلُوهُ إِنْ شِئْتُمْ فَإِنَّ ذَكَاةَ الْجَنِينِ ذَكَاةُ أُمِّهِ " .
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ سَمِعْتُ الْكَوْسَجَ إِسْحَقَ بْنَ مَنْصُورٍ يَقُولُ فِي قَوْلِهِمْ فِي الذَّكَاةِ لَا يُقْضَى بِهَا مَذِمَّةٌ قَالَ مَذِمَّةٌ بِكَسْرِ الذَّالِ مِنْ الذِّمَامِ وَبِفَتْحِ الذَّالِ مِنْ الذَّمِّ.

Sunan Ibn Majah 3205
It was
narrated from ‘Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Messenger of
Allah
(saw) said:
“Were it not that dogs form one of the communities
(or
nations – of creatures), I would have commanded that they be
killed. But kill those that are all black. There are no people who
keep a dog, except for dogs used for herding livestock, hunting or
farming, but two Qirat will be deducted from their reward each day.”

" لَوْلاَ أَنَّ الْكِلاَبَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الأُمَمِ لأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا فَاقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا الأَسْوَدَ الْبَهِيمَ وَمَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ اتَّخَذُوا كَلْبًا إِلاَّ كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ أَوْ كَلْبَ حَرْثٍ إِلاَّ نَقَصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ " .

narrated that Sufyan bin Abu Zuhair said:
“I heard the Prophet
(saw) say: ‘Whoever keeps a dog that he does not need for farming
or
herding, one Qirat will be deducted from his (good) deeds each
day.’”

" مَنِ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لاَ يُغْنِي عَنْهُ زَرْعًا وَلاَ ضَرْعًا نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ " . فَقِيلَ لَهُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ إِي وَرَبِّ هَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 3282
It was
narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said:
“During the time of
the
Messenger of Allah (saw) we often did not find anything to eat,
and
if we did, we did not have handkerchiefs, except our hands, arms
and
feet. Then we would pray without performing ablution.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 3464
It was
narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d As-Sa’idi said:
“The Messenger of
Allah (saw) was wounded on the Day of Uhud. His molar was broken and
his helmet was crushed on his head. Fatimah was washing the blood
from
him and ‘Ali was pouring water on him from a shield. When
Fatimah
realized that the water was only making the bleeding worse,
she took a
piece of a mat and burnt it, and when it had turned to
ashes, she
applied it to the wound to stop the bleeding.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ، قَالَ جُرِحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَكُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ وَهُشِمَتِ الْبَيْضَةُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ فَكَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ تَغْسِلُ الدَّمَ عَنْهُ وَعَلِيٌّ يَسْكُبُ عَلَيْهِ الْمَاءَ بِالْمِجَنِّ فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ لاَ يَزِيدُ الدَّمَ إِلاَّ كَثْرَةً أَخَذَتْ قِطْعَةَ حَصِيرٍ فَأَحْرَقَتْهَا حَتَّى إِذَا صَارَ رَمَادًا أَلْزَمَتْهُ الْجُرْحَ فَاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 3515
It was
narrated that Jabir said:
“There was a family among the Ansar,
called Al ‘Amr bin Hazm, who used to recite Ruqyah for the scorpion
sting, but the Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade Ruqyah. They came to
him and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah! You have forbidden Ruqyah, but
we
recite Ruqyah against the scorpion’s sting.’ He said to them:
‘Recite
it to me.’ So they recited it to him, and he said: ‘There
is nothing
wrong with this, this is confirmed.’”

It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“Jibril (as) promised the
Messenger
of Allah (saw) that he would come to him at a certain hour,
but he
was late. The Prophet (saw) went out and there was Jibril
standing at
the door. He said: ‘What kept you from entering?’ He said:
‘There
is a dog in the house, and we do not enter a house in which
there is
a dog or an image.’”

" مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ " . قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْبَيْتِ كَلْبًا وَإِنَّا لاَ نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلاَ صُورَةٌ .

narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that Dhu’aib Al-Khuza’i narrated that
the Prophet (saw) used to send the sacrificial animals with him, then
he would say:
“If any of them becomes unfit and you are afraid that
it
will die, then slaughter it, dip the sandal (tied around its neck)
in
its blood and place it on its side, but neither you nor any of
your
companions should eat anything from it.”

narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said:
“We said: ‘O Messenger
of Allah! We know what it means to send greetings upon you, but what
does it mean to send peace and blessings upon you?’ He said: ‘Say:
“Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin ‘abdika wa Rasulika kama
salayta ‘ala Ibrahima, wa barik ‘ala Muhammad (wa ‘ala ali
Muhammadin) kama barakta ‘ala Ibrahima [O Allah, send Your grace,
honor and mercy upon Muhammad, Your slave and Messenger, as You sent
Your (grace, honour and mercy) upon Ibrahim, and send Your blessings
upon Muhammad (and the family of Muhammad) as You sent Your blessings
upon Ibrahim].”

It was
narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman Al-A’raj that Ibn Buhainah told
him
that the Prophet (saw) stood up in the second Rak’ah of Zuhr and
forgot to sit. When he had finished his prayer, and before he said
the
Salam, he performed the two prostrations for forgetfulness (Sahw)
and
said the Salam.

It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) fell
ill and some of his Companions came to visit him. The Messenger of
Allah (saw) performed prayer while sitting down, and they prayed
behind him standing up. He gestured them to sit down, and when he
finished he said: ‘The Imam is appointed to be followed. When he
bows,
then bow; when he stands up again, then stand up, and if he
prays
sitting down then pray sitting down.’”

It was
narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
“Good men among whom was ‘Umar
bin Khattab, and the best of them in my view is ‘Umar, testified
before me that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘There is no
prayer
after Fajr until the sun has risen, and there is no prayer
after the
‘Asr until the sun has set.’”

It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed said:
“The Messenger of Allah
(saw)
said, during the Farewell Pilgrimage: ‘Is not the most sacred
of your
days this day, is not the most sacred of your months this
month, is
not the most sacred of your lands this land? Your blood and
your
wealth are as sacred to you as this day of yours in this month
of
yours. Have I not conveyed (the message)?’ They said: ‘Yes.”
He said:
‘O Allah, bear witness.’”

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw)

“The adulterer, at the time he is committing adultery, is not

believer; (the wine drinker) at the time he is drinking, is not a
believer; the thief, at the time he is stealing, is not a believer;
the plunderer, at the time he is plundering with the people looking
on, is not a believer.”

It was narrated that Mughirah bin Shu'bah said:
"No one asked
the
Prophet (saw) about Dajjal more than I did." (One of the
narrators)
Ibn Numair said (in his version): "(No one asked)
more difficult
questions than I did." - "He said to me:
'What are you asking about
him?' I said: 'They say he will have food
and drink with him.' He
said: 'He is too insignificant before Allah
for that.'"

narrated that Sahl bin Sa’d As-Sa’idi said:
“A man came to the
Prophet (saw) and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, show me a deed
which,
if I do it, Allah will love me and people will love me. The
Messenger
of Allah (saw) said: “Be indifferent towards this world,
and Allah
will love you. Be indifferent to what is in people’s
hands, and they
will love you.”

" ازْهَدْ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُحِبَّكَ اللَّهُ وَازْهَدْ فِيمَا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ يُحِبُّوكَ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4244
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw)
said:
“When the believer commits sin, a black spot appears on his
heart.
If he repents and gives up that sin and seeks forgiveness, his
heart
will be polished. But if (the sin) increases, (the black spot)
increases. That is the Ran that Allah mentions in His Book: “Nay!
But
on their hearts is the Ran (covering of sins and evil deeds)
which
they used to earn.” [83:14]

am the leader of the sons of Adam, and it is no boast. I will

first one for whom the earth will be split open on the Day of
Resurrection, and it is no boast. I will be the first to intercede
and
the first whose intercession will be accepted, and it is no
boast. The
banner of praise will be in my hand on the Day of
Resurrection, and it
is no boast.”

Musnad Ahmad 53
It was narrated from Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq that he delivered a khutbah and said:
0 people, you recite this verse but you quote it inappropriately: “O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the (right) guidance [and enjoin what is right (Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam orders one to do) and forbid what is wrong (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden)] no hurt can come to you from those who are in error` (al-Ma'idah 5:105]. I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: `If the people see evil and do not denounce it, soon Allah will send His punishment upon them ali.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ خَطَبَ فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ تَقْرَءُونَ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ وَتَضَعُونَهَا عَلَى غَيْرِ مَا وَضَعَهَا اللَّهُ {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ مَنْ ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ} سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوْا الْمُنْكَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرُوهُ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمْ اللَّهُ بِعِقَابِهِ.

It was narrated from Abu 'Ubaidah that Abu Bakr stood up one year after the death of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) stood among us last year and said: `The son of Adam has not been given anything better than well-being, so ask Allah for well-being. You should be truthful and righteous, for they lead to Paradise, and you should beware of lying and immorality, for they lead to Hell.`
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بَعْدَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَامٍ فَقَالَ قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَامَ الْأَوَّلِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنَ آدَمَ لَمْ يُعْطَ شَيْئًا أَفْضَلَ مِنْ الْعَافِيَةِ فَاسْأَلُوا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالصِّدْقِ وَالْبِرِّ فَإِنَّهُمَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْكَذِبَ وَالْفُجُورَ فَإِنَّهُمَا فِي النَّارِ.

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, forbids you to swear by your fathers,` 'Umar said: By Allah, I never swore by them since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid it, and I never uttered (such words) whether I was swearing an oath or describing someone else doing so.

It was narrated from Zaid bin Uthai`, a man from Hamdan:
We asked `Ali (رضي الله عنه) With what were you sent, i.e., on the day the Prophet (ﷺ) sent you with Abu Bakr (رضي الله عنه) for Hajj? He said: I was sent with four things. No one will enter Paradise except a believing soul; no one should circumambulate the Ka’bah naked; whoever had a covenant with the Prophet (ﷺ) it would remain in effect until the agreed time; and the mushrikeen were not to perform Hajj with the Muslims after that year.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أُثَيْعٍ، رَجُلٍ مِنْ هَمْدَانَ سَأَلْنَا عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِأَيِّ شَيْءٍ بُعِثْتَ يَعْنِي يَوْمَ بَعَثَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فِي الْحَجَّةِ قَالَ بُعِثْتُ بِأَرْبَعٍ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا نَفْسٌ مُؤْمِنَةٌ وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ وَمَنْ كَانَ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَهْدٌ فَعَهْدُهُ إِلَى مُدَّتِهِ وَلَا يَحُجُّ الْمُشْرِكُونَ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ بَعْدَ عَامِهِمْ هَذَا.

He said: `From mating a male donkey with a mare, and this is what is produced.` I said: Should we mate [a donkey] with [a mare]? He said: `No, this is only done by those who do not know.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَغْلٌ أَوْ بَغْلَةٌ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا قَالَ بَغْلٌ أَوْ بَغْلَةٌ قُلْتُ وَمِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ هُوَ قَالَ يُحْمَلُ الْحِمَارُ عَلَى الْفَرَسِ فَيَخْرُجُ بَيْنَهُمَا هَذَا قُلْتُ أَفَلَا نَحْمِلُ فُلَانًا عَلَى فُلَانَةَ قَالَ لَا إِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ.

Musnad Ahmad 771
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
I heard a man praying for forgiveness for his parents, who were mushrikeen. I said: Would a man pray for forgiveness for his parents when they are mushrikeen? He said: Didn`t Ibrahim (عليه السلام) pray for forgiveness for his father? I mentioned that to the Prophet (ﷺ) and the words `It is not proper for the Prophet and those who believe to ask Allah`s forgiveness for the Mushrikoon, even though they be of kin, after it has become clear to them that they are the dwellers of the Fire (because they died in a state of disbelief). And Ibrahim`s (Abraham) (عليه السلام) invoking (of Allah) for his father`s forgiveness was only because of a promise he [Ibrahim (Abraham]] had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him that he (his father) is an enemy of Allah, he dissociated himself from him” At- Tawbah [9:113-114] were revealed. He [the Prophet (ﷺ) ] said: `[That was] when he died.`
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا، يَسْتَغْفِرُ لِأَبَوَيْهِ وَهُمَا مُشْرِكَانِ فَقُلْتُ أَيَسْتَغْفِرُ الرَّجُلُ لِأَبَوَيْهِ وَهُمَا مُشْرِكَانِ فَقَالَ أَوَلَمْ يَسْتَغْفِرْ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَزَلَتْ {مَا كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرُوا لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {تَبَرَّأَ مِنْهُ} قَالَ لَمَّا مَاتَ فَلَا أَدْرِي قَالَهُ سُفْيَانُ أَوْ قَالَهُ إِسْرَائِيلُ أَوْ هُوَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ لَمَّا مَاتَ.

Musnad Ahmad 1231
It was narrated from `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) that A slave woman of the Prophet (ﷺ) gave birth to an illegitimate child. The Prophet (ﷺ) sent me to carry out the hadd punishment, but I found that her postpartum bleeding had not stopped. So I went back to the Prophet (ﷺ) and told him, and he said to me:
“When her postpartum bleeding stops, give her the hadd punishment of flogging.” Then he said: “Carry out the hadd punishment on those whom your right hands possess.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الثَّعْلَبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ جَارِيَةً، لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نُفِسَتْ مِنْ الزِّنَا فَأَرْسَلَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأُقِيمَ عَلَيْهَا الْحَدَّ فَوَجَدْتُهَا فِي الدَّمِ لَمْ يَجِفَّ عَنْهَا فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ لِي إِذَا جَفَّ الدَّمُ عَنْهَا فَاجْلِدْهَا الْحَدَّ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَقِيمُوا الْحُدُودَ عَلَى مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ.

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed me to sacrifice two rams on his behalf, and I like to do that. Muhammad bin `Ubaid al-Muharibi said in his hadeeth: He sacrificed two rams, one on behalf of the Prophet (ﷺ) and one on behalf of himself. Something was said to him (concerning that) and he said: “He ordered me to do it and I will never omit to do it.”

“Abdul Jabbar bin Ward added, narrating from Ibn Abi Mulaikah, that Talhah said: “How good are the family: ‘Abdullah, the father of `Abdullah and the mother of `Abdullah.`

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from Zaynab bint Abi Salama from Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "I am but a man to whom you bring your disputes. Perhaps one of you is more eloquent in his proof than the other, so I give judgement according to what I have heard from him. Whatever I decide for him which is part of the right of his brother, he must not take any of it, for I am granting him a portion of the Fire."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ وَإِنَّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ إِلَىَّ فَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَأَقْضِيَ لَهُ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا أَسْمَعُ مِنْهُ فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ بِشَىْءٍ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ فَلاَ يَأْخُذَنَّ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنَ النَّارِ " .

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever, after listening to the Adhan (for the prayer) says, 'O Allah, the Lord of this complete call and of this prayer, which is going to be established! Give Muhammad Al-Wasila and Al-Fadila and raise him to Al-Maqam-al-Mahmud which You have promised him,' will be granted my intercession for him on the Day of Resurrection."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يَسْمَعُ النِّدَاءَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ، آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ، وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ، حَلَّتْ لَهُ شَفَاعَتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ". رَوَاهُ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Hassan came to Aisha and said the following poetic Verse: 'A chaste pious woman who arouses no suspicion. She never talks against chaste heedless women behind their backs.' `Aisha said, "But you are not," I said (to `Aisha), "Why do you allow such a person to enter upon you after Allah has revealed: "...and as for him among them who had the greater share therein'?" (24.11) She said, "What punishment is worse than blindness?" She added, "And he used to defend Allah's Apostle against the pagans (in his poetry).
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ حَسَّانُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَشَبَّبَ وَقَالَ حَصَانٌ رَزَانٌ مَا تُزَنُّ بِرِيبَةٍ وَتُصْبِحُ غَرْثَى مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَوَافِلِ قَالَتْ لَسْتَ كَذَاكَ. قُلْتُ تَدَعِينَ مِثْلَ هَذَا يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكِ وَقَدْ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ {وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَهُ مِنْهُمْ} فَقَالَتْ وَأَىُّ عَذَابٍ أَشَدُّ مِنَ الْعَمَى وَقَالَتْ وَقَدْ كَانَ يَرُدُّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Khaula bint Hakim was one of those ladies who presented themselves to the Prophet for marriage. `Aisha said, "Doesn't a lady feel ashamed for presenting herself to a man?" But when the Verse: "(O Muhammad) You may postpone (the turn of) any of them (your wives) that you please,' (33.51) was revealed, " `Aisha said, 'O Allah's Apostle! I do not see, but, that your Lord hurries in pleasing you.' "

Narrated Abu Huraira:
(The Prophet) Solomon son of (the Prophet) David said, "Tonight I will go round (i.e. have sexual relations with) one hundred women (my wives) everyone of whom will deliver a male child who will fight in Allah's Cause." On that an Angel said to him, "Say: 'If Allah will.' " But Solomon did not say it and forgot to say it. Then he had sexual relations with them but none of them delivered any child except one who delivered a half person. The Prophet said, "If Solomon had said: 'If Allah will,' Allah would have fulfilled his (above) desire and that saying would have made him more hopeful."
حَدَّثَنِي مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ " قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ـ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلاَمُ ـ لأَطُوفَنَّ اللَّيْلَةَ بِمِائَةِ امْرَأَةٍ، تَلِدُ كُلُّ امْرَأَةٍ غُلاَمًا، يُقَاتِلُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْمَلَكُ قُلْ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ. فَلَمْ يَقُلْ وَنَسِيَ، فَأَطَافَ بِهِنَّ، وَلَمْ تَلِدْ مِنْهُنَّ إِلاَّ امْرَأَةٌ نِصْفَ إِنْسَانٍ ". قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَوْ قَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَمْ يَحْنَثْ، وَكَانَ أَرْجَى لِحَاجَتِهِ ".

Who was the son of Um Salama, the wife of the Prophet: Once I ate a meal with Allah's Apostle and I was eating from all sides of the dish. So Allah's Apostle said to me, "Eat of the dish what is nearer to you."

" كُلْ مِمَّا يَلِيكَ ".

Narrated `Aisha:
A necklace belonging to Asma' was lost, and the Prophet sent men in its search. The time for the prayer became due and they were without ablution and they could not find water; therefore they prayed without ablution, They mentioned that to the Prophet . Then Allah revealed the Verse of Tayammum. (`Aisha added: that she had borrowed (the necklace) from Asma').
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ هَلَكَتْ قِلاَدَةٌ لأَسْمَاءَ، فَبَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَلَبِهَا رِجَالاً، فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَلَيْسُوا عَلَى وُضُوءٍ وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا مَاءً، فَصَلَّوْا وَهُمْ عَلَى غَيْرِ وُضُوءٍ، فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ آيَةَ التَّيَمُّمِ. زَادَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ اسْتَعَارَتْ مِنْ أَسْمَاءَ.

Narrated Abu Bakra:
A man was mentioned before the Prophet and another man praised him greatly The Prophet said, "May Allah's Mercy be on you ! You have cut the neck of your friend." The Prophet repeated this sentence many times and said, "If it is indispensable for anyone of you to praise someone, then he should say, 'I think that he is so-and-so," if he really thinks that he is such. Allah is the One Who will take his accounts (as He knows his reality) and no-one can sanctify anybody before Allah." (Khalid said, "Woe to you," instead of "Allah's Mercy be on you.")
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ رَجُلٌ خَيْرًا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَيْحَكَ قَطَعْتَ عُنُقَ صَاحِبِكَ ـ يَقُولُهُ مِرَارًا ـ إِنْ كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ مَادِحًا لاَ مَحَالَةَ فَلْيَقُلْ أَحْسِبُ كَذَا وَكَذَا. إِنْ كَانَ يُرَى أَنَّهُ كَذَلِكَ، وَحَسِيبُهُ اللَّهُ، وَلاَ يُزَكِّي عَلَى اللَّهِ أَحَدًا ". قَالَ وُهَيْبٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ " وَيْلَكَ ".

Narrated Abu Musa:
that when Allah's Apostle sent him and Mu`adh bin Jabal to Yemen, he said to them, "Facilitate things for the people (treat the people in the most agreeable way), and do not make things difficult for them, and give them glad tidings, and let them not have aversion (i.e. to make the people hate good deeds) and you should both work in cooperation and mutual understanding, obey each other." Abu Musa said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are in a land in which a drink named Al Bit' is prepared from honey, and another drink named Al-Mizr is prepared from barley." On that, Allah's Apostle said, "All intoxicants (i.e. all alcoholic drinks) are prohibited."
حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ لَمَّا بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ قَالَ لَهُمَا " يَسِّرَا وَلاَ تُعَسِّرَا، وَبَشِّرَا وَلاَ تُنَفِّرَا، وَتَطَاوَعَا ". قَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ يُصْنَعُ فِيهَا شَرَابٌ مِنَ الْعَسَلِ، يُقَالُ لَهُ الْبِتْعُ، وَشَرَابٌ مِنَ الشَّعِيرِ، يُقَالُ لَهُ الْمِزْرُ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " كُلُّ مُسْكِرٍ حَرَامٌ ".

that he heard Hassan bin Thabit Al-Ansari asking the witness of Abu Huraira, saying, "O Abu- Huraira! I beseech you by Allah (to tell me). Did you hear Allah's Apostle saying' 'O Hassan ! Reply on behalf of Allah's Apostle. O Allah ! Support him (Hassan) with the Holy Spirit (Gabriel).'?" Abu Huraira said, "Yes."

" يَا حَسَّانُ أَجِبْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ أَيِّدْهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ ". قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ نَعَمْ.

Narrated `Ali:
We were with the Prophet in a funeral procession, and he started scraping the ground with a small stick and said, "There is none amongst you but has been assigned a place (either) in Paradise and (or) in the Hell-Fire." The people said (to him), "Should we not depend upon it?" He said: carry on doing (good) deeds, for everybody will find easy such deeds as will lead him to his destined place. He then recited: "As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah.." (92.5)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، وَمَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي جَنَازَةٍ فَجَعَلَ يَنْكُتُ الأَرْضَ بِعُودٍ، فَقَالَ " لَيْسَ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلاَّ وَقَدْ فُرِغَ مِنْ مَقْعَدِهِ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ ". فَقَالُوا أَفَلاَ نَتَّكِلُ قَالَ " اعْمَلُوا فَكُلٌّ مُيَسَّرٌ ". {فَأَمَّا مَنْ أَعْطَى وَاتَّقَى} الآيَةَ.

Narrated Abu Haraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "A lady slave should not be given in marriage until she is consulted, and a virgin should not be given in marriage until her permission is granted." The people said, "How will she express her permission?" The Prophet said, "By keeping silent (when asked her consent)." Some people said, "If a man, by playing a trick, presents two false witnesses before the judge to testify that he has married a matron with her consent and the judge confirms his marriage, and the husband is sure that he has never married her (before), then such a marriage will be considered as a legal one and he may live with her as husband."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُنْكَحُ الأَيِّمُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْمَرَ، وَلاَ تُنْكَحُ الْبِكْرُ حَتَّى تُسْتَأْذَنَ ". قَالُوا كَيْفَ إِذْنُهَا قَالَ " أَنْ تَسْكُتَ ". وَقَالَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ إِنِ احْتَالَ إِنْسَانٌ بِشَاهِدَىْ زُورٍ عَلَى تَزْوِيجِ امْرَأَةٍ ثَيِّبٍ بِأَمْرِهَا، فَأَثْبَتَ الْقَاضِي نِكَاحَهَا إِيَّاهُ، وَالزَّوْجُ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْهَا قَطُّ، فَإِنَّهُ يَسَعُهُ هَذَا النِّكَاحُ، وَلاَ بَأْسَ بِالْمُقَامِ لَهُ مَعَهَا.

Riyad as-Salihin 584
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "None of you should wish for death. If he is righteous, perhaps he may add to (his) good works, and if he is a sinner, possibly he may repent (in case he is given a longer life)."
[Al-Bukhari].
In Muslim, Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported : Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Let none of you wish for death, nor he ask for it before it comes to him, because when he dies, his actions will be terminated; certainly the age of a (true) believer does not add but good."
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “لا يتمن أحدكم الموت إما محسناً فلعله يزداد، وإما مسيئاً فلعله يستعتب” ((متفق عليه)) .وهذا لفظ البخاري
وفى رواية لمسلم عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: “لا يتمن أحدكم الموت، ولا يدع به من قبل أن يأتيه، إنه إذا مات انقطع عمله، وإنه لا يزيد المؤمن عمره إلا خيراً”.
