‘A’ishah said; the prophet (may peace be upon him) prayed in a single (piece of) cloth whose one part was upon me.

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Harb bin ‘Ubaid Allah from the Prophet (saws) to the same effect through a different chain of narrators. This version has the word kharaj(land tax) instead of ‘ushr (tithes).

فَقَالَ : لَعَلَّكَ يَا حِطَّانُ قُلْتَهَا؟ قَالَ : مَا أَنَا قُلْتُهَا، وَقَدْ خِفْتُ أَنْ تَبْكَعَنِي بِهَا.
فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ : أَنَا قُلْتُهَا، وَمَا أَرَدْتُ بِهَا إِلَّا الْخَيْرَ.
فَقَالَ أَبُو مُوسَى : أَوَ مَا تَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي صَلَاتِكُمْ؟ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَنَا فَعَلَّمَنَا صَلَاتَنَا، وَبَيَّنَ لَنَا سُنَّتَنَا.
قَالَ : أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ :" إِذَا أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلَاةُ، فَلْيَؤُمَّكُمْ أَحَدُكُمْ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ، فَكَبِّرُوا، وَإِذَا قَالَ : # غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلا الضَّالِّينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 7 #، فَقُولُوا : آمِينَ، يُجِبْكُمْ اللَّهُ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ، وَرَكَعَ فَكَبِّرُوا، وَارْكَعُوا، فَإِنَّ الْإِمَامَ يَرْكَعُ قَبْلَكُمْ وَيَرْفَعُ قَبْلَكُمْ "، قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَتِلْكَ بِتِلْكَ، فَإِذَا قَالَ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَقُولُوا : اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ أَوْ قَالَ : رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ عَلَى لِسَانِ نَبِيِّهِ : سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ وَسَجَدَ، فَكَبِّرُوا وَاسْجُدُوا، فَإِنَّ الْإِمَامَ يَسْجُدُ قَبْلَكُمْ، وَيَرْفَعُ قَبْلَكُمْ "، قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " فَتِلْكَ بِتِلْكَ، فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْقَعْدَةِ فَلْيَكُنْ مِنْ أَوَّلِ قَوْلِ أَحَدِكُمْ : التَّحِيَّاتُ الطَّيِّبَاتُ الصَّلَوَاتُ لِلَّهِ، السَّلَامُ أَوْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ أَوْ سَلَامٌ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللَّهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ "

I visited 'A'isha and asked her to tell about the illness of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). She agreed and said: The Apostle (may peace be upon him) was seriously ill and he asked whether the people had prayed. We said: No, they are waiting for you, Messenger of Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Put some water in the tub for me. We did accordingly and he (the Holy Prophet) took a bath;and, when he was about to move with difficulty, he fainted. When he came round, he again said: Have the people said prayer? We said: No, they are waiting for you, Messenger of Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) again said: Put some water for me in the tub. We did accordingly and he took a bag, but when he was about to move with difficultyhe fainted. When he came round, he asked whether the people had prayed. We said: No, they are waiting for you, Messenger of Allah. He said: Put some water for me in the tub. We did accordingly and he took a bath and he was about to move with difficulty when he fainted. When he came roundhe said: Have the people saidprayer? We said: No, they are waiting for you, Messenger of Allah. She ('A'isha) said: The people were staying in the mosque and waiting for the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) to lead the last (night) prayer. She ('A'isha) said: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent (instructions) to Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer. When the messenger came, he told him (Abd Bakr): The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) has ordered you to lead the people in prayer. Abu Bakr who was a man of very tenderly feelings asked Umar to lead the prayer. 'Umar said: You are more entitled to that. Abu Bakr led the prayers during those days. Afterwards the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) felt some relief and he went out supported by two men, one of them was al-'Abbas, to the noon prayer. Abu Bakr was leading the people in prayer. When Abu Bakr saw him. he began to withdraw, but the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) told him not to withdraw. He told his two (companions) to seat him down beside him (Abu Bakr). They seated him by the side of Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr said the prayer standing while following the prayer of the Apostle (may peace be upon him) and the people Bald prayer (standing) while following the prayer of Abu Bakr. Mishkat al-Masabih 1379
Ibn ‘Abbas reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone neglects the Friday prayer except in case of necessity, he will be inscribed as a hypocrite in a book which will not be obliterated or changed.” Some versions have “three times."*
*Meaning that the Prophet said these words three times.

‘A’isha said that a man told the Prophet his mother had died suddenly adding that he thought she would have given sadaqa if she had been able to speak. He therefore asked if she would have a reward supposing he gave sadaqa on her behalf, and was told that she would.

Mishkat al-Masabih 4426
Nafi‘ quoted Ibn ‘Umar as saying he had heard the Prophet forbidding qaza'. Nafi' was asked what qaza’ was and replied that it was having part of a boy’s head shaved arid leaving part unshaven.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "None of you should say, 'May time (ad-Dahr)
be disappointed. Allah is time (ad-Dahr)."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: لاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ: يَا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الدَّهْرُ.

Ibn 'Abbas said that Juwayriyya's name had been Barra and the Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, had renamed her Juwayriyya.
حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى آلِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ اسْمَ جُوَيْرِيَةَ كَانَ بَرَّةَ، فَسَمَّاهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جُوَيْرِيَةَ.

حَدَّثَنَا أَصْبَغُ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ فَضَالَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: يُسَلِّمُ الْفَارِسُ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ.

'Abdullah ibn Busr reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, passed by 'Abdullah's father who threw the Prophet
a rug on which he sat.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ عَلَى أَبِيهِ، فَأَلْقَى لَهُ قَطِيفَةً فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهَا.
