The Prophet (SAW) prostrated in Surat an-Najm (Chapter 53). [Reported by al-Bukhari].

'two Rak'at after Jumu'ah prayer in his house.'

And it's basic meaning is in Al-Bukhari and Muslim from the narration of Aisha (with the wording) "that Hamza bin 'Amro asked".

We have been forbidden to go into excess.

Rabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanah wa fi ‘l-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā `adhāban-nār. Our Lord, grant us the good things in this world, and the good things in the next life, and save us from the punishment of the Fire. Abu Umāmah said he heard Allah’s Messenger ﷺ say, “Recite the Qur’an, for on the Day of Resurrection it will come as an intercessor for those who recite it. Recite the two bright ones, al-Baqarah and Sūrah ale-Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who recite them. Recite Sūrah al-Baqarah, for to take recourse to it is a blessing and to give it up is a cause of grief, and the magicians cannot confront it.” Reference: Sahih Muslim 804a

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Wearing silk and gold has made unlawful for the males of my Ummah and lawful for its females.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from 'Umar, 'Ali, 'Uqbah bin 'Amir, Anas, Umm Hani, Hudhaifah, 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, 'Imran bin Husain, 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair, Jabir, Abu Raihanah, Ibn 'Umar, Al-Bara', and Wathilah bin Al-Asqa', and this Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Two Companions of the Prophet (PBUH) left his home in a very dark night with something like lights in front of them; when they separated, each of them had one light in front of him till they arrived home.

Other narrations reported in Al-Bukhari say that the two men were Usaid bin Hudhair and 'Abbad bin Bishr (May Allah be pleased with them).

Al-Maisur bin Makhramah (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) sacrificed his animal before he shaved and commanded his companions to do so.’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

Innī ṣā'im, innī ṣā'im. I am fasting. I am fasting. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-BAri 4/103, Muslim 2/806.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prohibited the price of a dog, the earning of an prostitute, and the money given to a soothsayer.

A man said on the day of the Fath, "O Messenger of Allah, I have vowed that if Allah opens the conquest of Makkah at your hands I shall pray in Jerusalem." He replied, "Pray here." He asked him again and he replied, "Pray here." He asked him again and he replied, "It's up to you, then." [Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Rafi' bin Khadij and Sahl bin Abi Hathmah narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited Al-Muzabanah sales, (buying) fruits with dried dates, except for those who practice Al-'Araya - for he permitted it for them - and from buying grapes with raisins, and from every fruit by its estimation.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib from this route.

Abu Rimthah narrated, ‘I came to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) with my son and he asked me, “Who is this?” I answered, ‘This is my son, and I swear on it.’ The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “He will not carry your burdens (sins) and you will not carry his burdens.” Related by An-Nasa’i and Abu Dawud. Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn al-Garud graded it as Sahih.

'Ali (RAA) narrated, 'Allah's Messenger (PBUH) enjoined us to pay great attention to the eye and the ear and not sacrifice a one-eyed animal with a slit which leaves something hanging at the front or back of the ear, or with a perforation in the ear, or an animal with broken front teeth.' Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

Narrated Mutarrif bin Abdullah bin Shikhkhir (RA) from his father, who said, "I saw Allah's Messenger (SAW) when he was engaged in prayer, and heard a sound from his chest, like the bubbling of a pot, from weeping." [Reported by al-Khamsah except Ibn Majah, and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Allāhummak-finī biḥalālika `an ḥarāmik, wa 'aghninī bi faḍlika `amman siwāk. O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You. Reference: At-Tirmidhi 5/560. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/180.

the Messenger of Allah (SAW) forbade Mulamasah and Munabadhah. (Sahih) Sahl added: "Sufyan said: 'Mulamasah means when a man touches something with his hand without seeing it, and Munabadhah means when he says: "Toss me what you have, and I will toss you what have."

from 'Uthman bin 'Affan that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The best of you is he who learns the Qur'an and teaches it." Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: "So that is why I sit at this seat of mine." And he taught the Qur'an during the time of 'Uthman until Al-Hajjaj bin Yusuf came. (Sahih)

"During the year of the conquest, when the Prophet (saws) reached Marr Zahran, he told us that we would meet the enemy. So he ordered us to break the fast, and we [all] broke our fast."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, and there is something on this topic from Ibn 'Umar.

Lā ilāha illallāh wallāhu Akbar, lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdah, lā ilāha illallāh waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lā ilāha illallāh lahu ‘l-mulku wa lahu ‘l-ḥamd, lā ilāha illallāh wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Allah is the Most Great. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, His is the dominion and His is the praise. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, there is no power and no might but by Allah. A’ishah (RAA) reported That Abu Bakr kissed the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) after he had died.’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade Muhaqalah, Mukhadarah, Mulamasah, Munabadhah and Muzabamah. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

It also has another Mawquf (saying of a Companion) narration from 'Abdullah bin Salam (RA) reported by al-Bukhari.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) would accept a gift and give something in return for it. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

"Making gestures with his head and he did not do that (pray while mounted) with obligatory prayers."

"Twenty-five degrees (more)."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond and he (the husband) spends the night angry with her, the angels curse her until morning".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In another narration: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When a woman spends the night away from the bed of her husband, the angels curse her until morning".

In another narration: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "By Him in Whose Hand is my life, when a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond, the One Who is above the heaven becomes displeased with her until he (her husband) becomes pleased with her".

Al-Bara’ said that he heard the Prophet recite at the evening prayer, “By the fig and the olive”* and that he had never heard anyone with a more beautiful voice. *Al-Qur’an; 95. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Bārakallāhu laka fī ahlika wa mālik. May Allah bless you in your family and your property. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-BAri 4/88.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who observes the Fajr and 'Asr (prayers) will enter Jannah."

I came to the Prophet (PBUH) once and noticed the tip of Miswak (tooth-stick) on his tongue.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: "There will be among my followers some people who will consider dultery (al-Hir) and the use of silk (al-Harir) lawful." [Reported by Abu Dawud, and its basic meaning is in al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Give gifts to one another and you will love one another." [al-Bukhari reported it in al-Adab al-Mufrad; Abu Ya'la reported it with a Hasan (good) chain of narrators].

I heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying, "He who recites the two Ayat at the end of Surat Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "As for me, I do not eat while reclining."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Ali, 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, and 'Abdullah bin Al-'Abbas.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, we do not know of it except as a narration of 'Ali bin Al-Aqmar. Zakariyya bin Abi Za'idah, Sufyan bin Sa'eed, and other reported this Hadith from 'Ali bin Al-Aqmar. And Shu'bah reported this Hadith from Sufyan Ath-Thawri from 'Ali bin Al-Aqmar.

Abdullah was asked about a man who married a woman and died without having consummated the marriage with her, nor stipulating the dowry. Abdullah said: “The dowry is hers, and the inheritance is hers and she has to observe the waiting period.” Ma'qil bin Sinan Al-Ashja'i said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) pass a similar ruling concerning Birwa' bint Washiq.” (Sahih) Another chain from 'Alqamah, from Abdullah, with similar wording. It was narrated from Masruq that: Abdullah was asked about a man who married a woman and died without having consummated the marriage with her, nor stipulating the dowry. Al-Bukhari and Muslim transmitted in the hadith of Umm Hani’, “We have given protection to whom you have granted (protection).”

The Prophet's oath (SAW) used to be: "No, by Him Who turns (changes) the hearts." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade the sale of a stallion's semen (to use for impregnation). [Reported by al-Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was the best of all the people in behaviour.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prohibited the practice of Najsh.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "War is deception."

The Prophet (PBUH) never refused a gift of perfume.

an administrator of Zakah, a man who buys Zakah holdings with his money, a person who is in debt, a fighter in the cause of Allah, or a rich person who is given a present by a needy (miskin) person which the latter had been given as Zakah.” Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and Al-Hakim regarded it as Sahih.

"We would eat during the time of the Messenger of Allah (saws) while we were walking, and we would drink while we were standing."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib as a narration of 'Ubaidullah bin 'Umar, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar. 'Imran bin Hudair reported this Hadith from Abu Al-Bazari, from Ibn 'Umar. Abu Al-Bazari's name is Yazid bin 'Utarid.

The Prophet (SAW) gave a ruling regarding Hamza's daughter in favor of her maternal aunt, saying, "The maternal aunt is in the position of the mother." [al-Bukhari reported it].

A slave-girl of Al-Madinah would take hold of the hand of the Prophet (PBUH) and take him wherever she desired.

[Al- Bukhari].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Goodness is tied to the foreheads of horses until the Day of Resurrection, i.e., reward (in the Hereafter) and spoils."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who is killed while defending his property is a martyr."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Taking a bath (before coming to Friday prayers) is obligatory on every adult."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who The observes Al-Bardan (i.e., Fajr and 'Asr prayers) will enter Jannah."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

’Urwah bin Mudarras (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Anyone who offered this prayer -at al-Muzdalifah- along with us, and waited with us until we returned to Mina, and he stayed at 'Arafat (on the 9th ) before that by night or day, he would have completed the prescribed duties of Hajj." Related by the five Imams. At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Khuzaimah graded it as Sahih.

'Amro bin Shu’aib narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “For a wound which exposes a bone five camels are paid (in compensation).’’ Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. Ahmad added the following statement, “And the fingers and toes are all equal- in Diyah· ten camels.” Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn al-Garud graded it as Sahih.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Usury has seventy-three categories, the least one in sin is as that of a man who marries (has sexual relations with) his mother, and the very essence of usury is the (violation of the) honor of a Muslim man." [Ibn Majah reported it in a short form and al-Hakim in a complete one. The latter also graded it Sahih (authentic)].

The Prophet (SAW) visited a sick man and saw him praying on a cushion, he threw it away and said, "Pray on the ground, if you can, or else pray by gestures and make your prostration lower than your bowing." [al-Baihaqi reported it and Abu Hatim graded it Sahih (authentic) in Mawquf form (as a saying of a companion, i.e. Jabir)].

Alhamdu lillāhi ‘l-ladhī aṭ`amanī hādhā, wa razaqanīhi min ghayri ḥawlin minnī wa lā quwwah. Praise is to Allah Who has given me this food, and sustained me with it though I was unable to do it and powerless. Reference: At-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Ibn Majah. See also Al-Albani, Sahih At-Tirmidhi 3/159.

I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and said: "Alaikas-Salamu ya Rasulallah! (Upon you be peace, O Messenger of Allah)!" He said, "Do not say: 'Alaikas-Salamu (Upon you be peace).' This is the Salam to the dead."

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi, who classified the hadith as Hasan Sahih].

"I heard 'Ali saying: 'The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited Al-Qassi, the red Mitharah, and wearing rings on this and this.' And he pointed to the index and middle fingers."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ibn Abi Musa is Abu Burdah bin Abi Musa and his name is 'Amir bin 'Abdullah bin Qais.

"Al-Hasan bin Muhammad was the more acceptable of the two." And he mentioned similarly. Others besides Sa'eed bin 'Abdur-Rahman narrated from Ibn 'Uyainah: "Abd 'Abdullah bin Muhammad was the more acceptable of the two."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Prophet (saws) prohibited blowing into the drink. A man said: "What about if one sees something floating in the vessel?" He said: "Spill it out (removing that)." He said: "I can not drink in one breath." He said: "Then remove the cup away from your mouth."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Whoever prepares a fighter in Allah's cause, he has participated in a military expedition, and whoever looks after the family of a fighter, he has participated in a military expedition."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, and it has been reported through more than one route.

"al-Qudat (judges) are of three types, two of whom will go to Hell and one to Paradise. The one who will go to Paradise is a man who knows what is right and gives judgement accordingly. However, a man who knows what is right, and does not give judgement accordingly and acts unjustly in his judgement, will be in the Hell-fire. Likewise, a man who does not know what is right and judges people with ignorance, will be in the Hell-fire." [Reported by al-Arba'a, and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Al-Nawwās Ibn Sam’ān reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “The Qur’an will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, along with its companions who used to act by it, at the front being Sūrah al-Baqarah and Al ‘Imran. He (the Messenger ﷺ) likened them (the two suwar) to three things which I did not forget. He said they will be like two clouds, or two black canopies with light between them, or like two flocks of birds in ranks pleading for one who recited them. Reference: Sahih Muslim 805

Al-Nawwās Ibn Sam’ān reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said “The Qur’an will be brought on the Day of Resurrection, along with its companions who used to act by it, at the front being Sūrah al-Baqarah and Al ‘Imran. Al-Bara’ b. ‘Azib said that God’s messenger performed the ‘umra twice in Dhul Qa'da before performing the hajj. Bukhari transmitted it.

Jabir bin ’Abdullah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Every act of goodness is (considered as) Sadaqah.” Related by Al-Bukhari.

’Abdur Rahman bin 'Auf (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) took the Jizyah from the Magians of Hajar.’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "A people who make a woman their ruler will never be successful." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (SAW) said, "A man must not be alone with a woman except in the presence of a Mahram." [al-Bukhari reported it].

"He gave the land in Sadaqah (as an endowment) that must not be sold or gifted, but its produce must be spent (as Sadaqah)."

Ḥasbunallāhu wa ni`mal-wakīl. Allah is sufficient for us and the best of those on whom to depend. Reference: Al-Bukhari, 5/172.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said God’s messenger forbade fasting on the day of breaking the fast of Ramadan and on the day of sacrifice. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

The Prophet (PBUH) forbade breathing into the vessel while drinking.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade shaving a part of the head.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade animals being tied (as targets).

Talhah bin ‘AbduIlah bin ‘Auf (RAA) narrated, ‘I offered a funeral prayer led by Ibn ‘Abbas. He recited al-Fatihah and said, ‘You should know that it (reciting al-Fatihah) is a Sunnah of the Prophet (P.B.U.H.).’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that as-Sa'b bin Jaththamah al-Laithi (RA) informed him that the Prophet (SAW) had said, "There is no preserve except what belongs to Allah and His Messenger." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

"By Allah, I seek the forgiveness of Allah, and repent to Him more than seventy times in a day. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 11/101.

In the battle of Mu'tah, seven swords were broken in my hand, and all that remained with me was a Yemeni sword.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade turning the water-skin upside down and drinking directly from its mouth.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Khawlah al-Ansariyah (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Some men acquire Allah’s Property (such as the funds of the Muslim state treasury, Zakah etc.) and they will go to Hell on the Day of Resurrection.” Related Al-Bukhari.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) sent him with a Dinar to buy a sacrificial animal for him. [The reporter mentioned the rest of the Hadith. al-Bukhari reported it in the context of another previously mentioned Hadith].

Rabbanā wa lakal-ḥamd, ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīh. Our Lord, praise is Yours, abundant, good and blessed praise. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 2/284.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Permission is to be sought thrice. If permission is granted, you may enter; otherwise, go back."

I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Truffle (edible fungus) is a species of Al-Manna and their water cures eye diseases."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not wear silk (clothes). For whoever wears (them) in this life will be deprived of them in the Hereafter."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

"And perform ablution for every Salat (prayer)". Abu Dawud and others transmitted a similar narration.

'Then [(Allah's Messenger (SAW)] emigrated and it was prescribed as four, but prayer while travelling was left according to the original prescription (of two Rak'at).'

‘A'isha reported God's messenger as saying, “Seek lailat al-qadr on an old number night among the last ten in Ramadan.” Bukhari transmitted it.

The Prophet (PBUH) said: "O Allah, there is no true life but the life of the Hereafter".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The mattress of Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was a piece of tanned skin stuffed with palm fibres.

[Al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Trim the moustaches and let the beard grow."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) prohibited men from wearing saffron-dyed clothes.

[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].

Rabi'a b. Ka‘b al-Aslami said he used to spend the night near the Prophet’s inner chamber and hear him say when he got up during the night, “Glory be to the Lord of the universe" for a long time. Then he would say, “Glory be to God and praise be to Him" for a longtime. Nasa’i transmitted it, and Tirmidhi who has something similar says that this is a hasan sahih tradition.

'Amro bin Shu’aib narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather (RAA), That the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “A slave who entered into an agreement to buy his freedom is still a slave as long as a Dirham of the agreed price remains to be paid.” Related by Abu Dawud with a good chain of narrators. The full hadith is related by Ahmad and the three Imams. Al-Hakim graded it to be Sahih.

Sahl bin Hunaif (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “He who assists a Mujahid for Allah’s sake, a debtor who is in distress (being unable to pay his debt) or a slave who had made an agreement to buy his freedom, Allah will shade him, with His Shade, on the Day when there will be no shade but His.” Related by Ahmad and Al- Hakim graded it as Sahih.

O Allah, You are the Pardoner and You love to pardon, so pardon me." Related by the five Imams except for Abu Dawud. At-Tirmidhi and Al-Hakim reported it as Sahih.

Fatima bint Abu Hubaish used to have a prolonged flow of blood (Istihadah) and so Allah’s Messenger (Peace be upon him)· told her, "If it is the blood of menstruation it will be dark (almost black) and recognizable (by women). If it is that, then leave the prayer. If it is other than that, then make ablution and pray." [Reported by Abu Da'ud and An-Nasa’i. Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it Sahih (sound).]
