Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2843
Narrated 'Ali bin Abi Talib:
that he said: "O Messenger of Allah (SAW)! If I have a son after you do you think I could name him your Kunyah?" He said: "Yes." So he said: "So that was permitted for me."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا فِطْرُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُنْذِرٌ، وَهُوَ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وُلِدَ لِي بَعْدَكَ أُسَمِّيهِ مُحَمَّدًا وَأُكْنِيهِ بِكُنْيَتِكَ قَالَ
" نَعَمْ " . قَالَ فَكَانَتْ رُخْصَةً لِي . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3664
It was narrated that Sa'd bin 'Ubadah said:
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died; shall I give in charity on her behalf?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'What kind of charity is best?' He said: 'Providing drinking water.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمِّي مَاتَتْ أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ عَنْهَا قَالَ " نَعَمْ ". قُلْتُ فَأَىُّ الصَّدَقَةِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ " سَقْىُ الْمَاءِ ".

Sahih Muslim 1438 d
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) (was asked if he had heard it himself), to which he said:
Yes. (I heard) Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying: There is no harm if you do not practise it, for it (the birth of the child) is something ordained (by Allah).
وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ، بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لَهُ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ نَعَمْ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ لاَ تَفْعَلُوا فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ الْقَدَرُ" .

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet said to Ubai, "Allah has ordered me to recite to you: 'Those who disbelieve (Surat-al- Bayina 98).' " Ubai said, "Has He mentioned my name?" The Prophet said, "Yes." On hearing this, Ubai started weeping.
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ شُعْبَةَ، سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأُبَىٍّ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ {لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا} ". قَالَ وَسَمَّانِي قَالَ " نَعَمْ " فَبَكَى.

Ibn 'Umar said:
When the Prophet (saws) became fat, Tamim al-Dari said to him: Should I make for you pulpit, Messenger of Allah, that will bear the burden of your body ? He said: Yes. So he made a pulpit consisting of two steps.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمَّا بَدُنَ قَالَ لَهُ تَمِيمٌ الدَّارِيُّ أَلاَ أَتَّخِذُ لَكَ مِنْبَرًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَجْمَعُ - أَوْ يَحْمِلُ - عِظَامَكَ قَالَ
" بَلَى " . فَاتَّخَذَ لَهُ مِنْبَرًا مِرْقَاتَيْنِ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 2218
Narrated `Aisha:
Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas and 'Abu bin Zam`a quarreled over a boy. Sa`d said, "O Allah's Apostle! This boy is the son of my brother (`Utba bin Abi Waqqas) who took a promise from me that I would take him as he was his (illegal) son. Look at him and see whom he resembles." 'Abu bin Zam`a said, "O Allah's Apostle! This is my brother and was born on my father's bed from his slave-girl." Allah's Apostle cast a look at the boy and found definite resemblance to `Utba and then said, "The boy is for you, O 'Abu bin Zam`a. The child goes to the owner of the bed and the adulterer gets nothing but the stones (despair, i.e. to be stoned to death). Then the Prophet said, "O Sauda bint Zama! Screen yourself from this boy." So, Sauda never saw him again.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ أَنَّهَا قَالَتِ اخْتَصَمَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ فِي غُلاَمٍ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ هَذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْنُ أَخِي عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، عَهِدَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ابْنُهُ، انْظُرْ إِلَى شَبَهِهِ. وَقَالَ عَبْدُ بْنُ زَمْعَةَ هَذَا أَخِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وُلِدَ عَلَى فِرَاشِ أَبِي مِنْ وَلِيدَتِهِ. فَنَظَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى شَبَهِهِ، فَرَأَى شَبَهًا بَيِّنًا بِعُتْبَةَ، فَقَالَ
" هُوَ لَكَ يَا عَبْدُ، الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ وَاحْتَجِبِي مِنْهُ يَا سَوْدَةُ بِنْتَ زَمْعَةَ ". فَلَمْ تَرَهُ سَوْدَةُ قَطُّ.

Hammad b. Zaid, reported:
I said to 'Amr b. Dinar: Did you hear Jabir b. 'Abdullah narrating from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) that Allah would bring out people from the Fire through intercession. He said: Yes.

" إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُخْرِجُ قَوْمًا مِنَ النَّارِ بِالشَّفَاعَةِ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ .

Mishkat al-Masabih 760
Salama b. al-Akwa‘said that he told God’s Messenger he was a man who went out hunting, and asked whether he might pray in a single shirt. He replied, “Yes, but fasten it, even if it should be with a thorn.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it and Nasa’i transmitted something similar.
عَن سَلمَة بن الْأَكْوَع قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَصِيدُ أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي الْقَمِيصِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ وَازْرُرْهُ وَلَوْ بِشَوْكَةٍ ". رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَى النَّسَائِيّ نَحوه

Asma’ daughter of ‘Umais said, “Messenger of Go'd, Ja’far’s children are readily susceptible to the influence of the evil eye, so may I use a spell for them?” He replied, “Yes, for if anything could get ahead of the decree the evil eye could.”
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَن أَسمَاء بنت عُميس قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ وَلَدَ جَعْفَرٍ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمُ الْعَيْنُ أَفَأَسْتَرْقِي لَهُمْ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ فَإِنَّهُ لَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابِقُ الْقَدَرِ لَسَبَقَتْهُ العينُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَالتِّرْمِذِيّ وَابْن مَاجَه

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As said that the Prophet came upon Sa'd when he was performing ablution and asked, “What is the meaning of this extravagance, Sa'd?” He replied, “Is there extravagance in ablution?” He said, “Yes, even if you are beside a flowing river.’’
Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَرَّ بِسَعْدٍ وَهُوَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَقَالَ: «مَا هَذَا السَّرَفُ يَا سَعْدُ» . قَالَ: أَفِي الْوُضُوءِ سَرَفٌ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ عَلَى نَهْرٍ جَارٍ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَابْن مَاجَه

It was
narrated that ‘Ubaid bin Rifa’ah Az-Zuraqi said:
“Asma’ said:
‘O Messenger of Allah! The children of Ja’far have been afflicted
by
the evil eye, shall I recite Ruqyah* for them?’ He said: ‘Yes,
for if
anything were to overtake the Divine decree it would be the
evil
eye.’”

It was
narrated that Anas bin Malik said:
“The Prophet (SAW) entered
upon
a sick person to visit him. He said: ‘Do you long for anything?
Do
you long for Ka’k (a type of bread)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ So they
sent
someone to bring some Ka’k for him.”
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ عَلَى مَرِيضٍ يَعُودُهُ فَقَالَ
" أَتَشْتَهِي شَيْئًا أَتَشْتَهِي كَعْكًا " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . فَطَلَبُوا لَهُ .

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
Purple saddle cloths and wearing a blend of linen and silk and gold rings were forbidden, Muhammad said: I mentioned that to my brother Yahya bin Seereen and he said: Did you not hear this? Yes, and borders of silk brocade.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نُهِيَ عَنْ مَيَاثِرِ الْأُرْجُوَانِ، وَلُبْسِ الْقَسِّيِّ، وَخَاتَمِ الذَّهَبِ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَخِي يَحْيَى بْنِ سِيرِينَ فَقَالَ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ هَذَا نَعَمْ وَكِفَافِ الدِّيبَاجِ.

Narrated `Aisha:
(the wife of the Prophet) I told Allah's Apostle that Safiya bint Huyai had got her menses. He said, "She will probably delay us. Did she perform Tawaf (Al-Ifada) with you?" We replied, "Yes." On that the Prophet told her to depart.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَىٍّ قَدْ حَاضَتْ. قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَعَلَّهَا تَحْبِسُنَا، أَلَمْ تَكُنْ طَافَتْ مَعَكُنَّ ". فَقَالُوا بَلَى. قَالَ " فَاخْرُجِي ".

I asked Abu Huraira "By Allah! Tell me the truth whether you heard the Prophet saying, 'O Hassan! Reply on behalf of Allah's Apostle. O Allah! Help him with the Holy Spirit." Abu Huraira said, "Yes . "
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ حَسَّانَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ، يَسْتَشْهِدُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ أَنْشُدُكَ اللَّهَ هَلْ سَمِعْتَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" يَا حَسَّانُ، أَجِبْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، اللَّهُمَّ أَيِّدْهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ ". قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ نَعَمْ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1924
It was narrated from Muhammad that:
a funeral passed by Al-Hasan bin 'Ali and Ibn 'Abbas. Al-Hasan stood up but Ibn 'Abbas did not/ Al-Hasan said: 'Didn't the Messenger of Allah stand up for the funeral of a Jew?' Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Yes, then he sat down."'
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّ جَنَازَةً، مَرَّتْ بِالْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَامَ الْحَسَنُ وَلَمْ يَقُمِ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِجَنَازَةِ يَهُودِيٍّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ نَعَمْ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ .

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَقْرَأَ عَلَيْكَ : ( لَمْ يَكُنِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ) " . قَالَ وَسَمَّانِي قَالَ " نَعَمْ " . فَبَكَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 5615
It was narrated that Sulaiman At-Taimi and Ibrahim bin Maisarah said:
"We heard Tawus say: 'A man came to Ibn 'Umar and said: Did the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbid soaking (fruits) in earthenware jars? He said: 'Yes.' Ibrahim added in his Hadith: "And Ad-Dubba' (gourds).'"

It was narrated from 'Aishah that she said to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH):
"Safiyyah bint Huyai began menstruating." The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Perhaps she has detained us. Did she not circumambulate the House with you?" She said: "Yes." He said: "Then you can leave."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ حُيَىٍّ قَدْ حَاضَتْ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَعَلَّهَا تَحْبِسُنَا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ طَافَتْ مَعَكُنَّ بِالْبَيْتِ " . قَالَتْ بَلَى . قَالَ " فَاخْرُجْنَ " .

Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:
"When the slave (of Allah) lies, the angel goes a mile away from him because of the stench of what he has done."Yahya said: "(I asked) 'Abdur-Rahim bin Harun if he approved of it,and he said 'Yes'."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ بْنِ هَارُونَ الْغَسَّانِيِّ حَدَّثَكُمْ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

I asked Zainab bint Abi Salama (i.e. daughter of the wife of the Prophet, "Tell me about the Prophet . Did he belong to the tribe of Mudar?" She replied, "Yes, he belonged to the tribe of Mudar and was from the offspring of An-Nadr bin Kinana."

Al-Ahnaf said:
"I came to Al-Madinah, and I was performing Hajj, and while we were in our camping place unloading our mounts, someone came to us and said: 'The people have gathered in the Masjid.' I looked and found the people gathered, and in the midst of them was a group; there I saw 'Ali bin Abi Talib, Az-Zubair, Talhah and Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah have mercy on them. When I got there, it was said that 'Uthman bin 'Affan had come. He came, wearing a yellowish cloak. I said to my companion: Stay where you are until I find out what is happening. 'Uthman said: Is 'Ali here? Is Az-Zubair here? Is Talhah here? Is Sa'd here? They said: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, beside Whom there is none worthy of worship, are you aware that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever buys the Mirbad of Banu so and so, Allah will forgive him, and I bought it, then I came to the Messenger of Allah and told him, and he said: Add it to our Masjid and the reward for it will be yours? They said: Yes. He said: I adjure you by Allah, beside Whom there is none worthy of worship, are you aware that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever buys the well of Rumah, Allah will forgive him, so I came to the Messenger of Allah and said: I have bought the well of Rumah. He said: Give it to provide water for the Muslims, and the reward for it will be yours? They said: Yes. He said: 'I adjure you by Allah, beside Whom there is none worthy of worship, are you aware that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever equips the army of Al-'Usrah (i.e. Tabuk), Allah will forgive him, so I equipped them until they were not lacking even a rope or a bridle?' They said: Yes. He said: O Allah, bear witness, O Allah, bear witness, O Allah, bear witness."

It was narrated that Al-Ahnaf bin Qais said:
"We set out for Hajj, and came to Al-Madinah intending to perform Hajj. He said: 'I adjure you by Allah, beside Whom there is none worthy of worship, are you aware that the Messenger of Allah said: Whoever buys the well of Rumah, Allah will forgive him, so I bought it for such and such an amount, then I came to the Messenger of Allah and told him, and he said: Give it to provide water for the Muslims, and the reward for it will be yours?' They said: By Allah, yes. Sahih Muslim 1785 a
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Wa'il who said:
Sahal b. Hunaif stood up on the Day of Siffin and said: O ye people, blame yourselves (for want of discretion) ; we were with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) on the Day of Hudaibiya. If we had thought it fit to fight, we could fight. This was in the truce between the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and the polytheists. Umar b. Khattab came, approached the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and said: Messenger of Allah, aren't we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: By all means. He asked: Are not those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed. from their side in the Fire? He replied: Yes. He said: Then why should we put a blot upon our religion and return, while Allah has not decided the issue between them and ourselves? He said: Son of Khattab, I am the Messenger of Allah. Allah will never ruin me. (The narrator said): Umar went away, but he could not contain himself with rage. So he approached Abu Bakr and said: 'Abu Bakr, aren't we fighting for truth and they for falsehood? He replied: Yes. He asked: Aren't those killed from our side in Paradise and those killed from their side in the Fire? He replied: Why not? He (then) said: Why should we then disgrace our religion and return while God has not yet decided the issue between them and ourselves? Abu Bakr said: Son of Khattab, verily, he is the Messenger of Allah, and Allah will never ruin him. (The narrator continued): At this (a Sura of) the Qur'an (giving glad tidings of the victory) was revealed to the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). He sent for Umar and made him read it. He asked: Is (this truce) a victory? He (the Messenger of Allah) replied: Yes. At this Umar was pleased, and returned.

Abdullah b Mas'ud reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) addressed us and then supported his back (by reclining) against a leather tent and said: Behold, no one but a believing person would enter Paradise. O Allah, (see) have I conveyed (it not)? 0 Allah, be witness (to it that I have conveyed it). (Then addressing the companions) he said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise? We said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He again said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise? They said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: I hope that you would constitute one- half of the inhabitants of Paradise and you would be among the peoples of the world, like a black hair on (the body of) a white ox or like a white hair on the body of a black ox.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، - وَهْوَ ابْنُ مِغْوَلٍ - عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَسْنَدَ ظَهْرَهُ إِلَى قُبَّةِ أَدَمٍ فَقَالَ " أَلاَ لاَ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلاَّ نَفْسٌ مُسْلِمَةٌ اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ اللَّهُمَّ اشْهَدْ . أَتُحِبُّونَ أَنَّكُمْ رُبُعُ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . فَقُلْنَا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ " أَتُحِبُّونَ أَنْ تَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . قَالُوا نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " إِنِّي لأَرْجُو أَنْ تَكُونُوا شَطْرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مَا أَنْتُمْ فِي سِوَاكُمْ مِنَ الأُمَمِ إِلاَّ كَالشَّعْرَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ فِي الثَّوْرِ الأَبْيَضِ أَوْ كَالشَّعْرَةِ الْبَيْضَاءِ فِي الثَّوْرِ الأَسْوَدِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2597
It was narrated from Ishaq bin Abu Talhah:
“I heard Abu Mundhir, the freed slave of Abu Dharr, say that Abu Umayyah narrated to him, that a thief was brought to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and he admitted his crime, although the stolen goods were not found with him. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'I do not think you stole them.’ He said: 'Yes I did.' Then he said (again): ‘I do not think that you stole them.’ and he said: 'Yes I did.' Then he ordered that his hand be cut off. The Prophet (SAW) ' Say: I seek Allah's forgiveness and I repent to Him.' So he (the thief) said: 'I seek Allah's forgiveness and I repent to him.' He (the Prophet (SAW) said twice: 'O Allah! Accept his repentance.”
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ، - مَوْلَى أَبِي ذَرٍّ - يَذْكُرُ أَنَّ أَبَا أُمَيَّةَ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِلِصٍّ فَاعْتَرَفَ اعْتِرَافًا وَلَمْ يُوجَدْ مَعَهُ الْمَتَاعُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا إِخَالُكَ سَرَقْتَ " . قَالَ بَلَى . ثُمَّ قَالَ " مَا إِخَالُكَ سَرَقْتَ " . قَالَ بَلَى . فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَقُطِعَ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قُلْ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ " . قَالَ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ . قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ تُبْ عَلَيْهِ " . مَرَّتَيْنِ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 4730
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:
Allah's Apostle said, "On the Day of Resurrection Death will be brought forward in the shape of a black and white ram. Then a call maker will call, 'O people of Paradise!' Thereupon they will stretch their necks and look carefully. The caller will say, 'Do you know this?' They will say, 'Yes, this is Death.' By then all of them will have seen it. Then it will be announced again, 'O people of Hell !' They will stretch their necks and look carefully. The caller will say, 'Do you know this?' They will say, 'Yes, this is Death.' And by then all of them will have seen it. Then it (that ram) will be slaughtered and the caller will say, 'O people of Paradise! Eternity for you and no death O people of Hell! Eternity for you and no death."' Then the Prophet, recited:-- 'And warn them of the Day of distress when the case has been decided, while (now) they are in a state of carelessness (i.e. the people of the world) and they do not believe.' (19.39)
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يُؤْتَى بِالْمَوْتِ كَهَيْئَةِ كَبْشٍ أَمْلَحَ فَيُنَادِي مُنَادٍ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ، فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ فَيَقُولُ هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَ هَذَا فَيَقُولُونَ نَعَمْ هَذَا الْمَوْتُ، وَكُلُّهُمْ قَدْ رَآهُ، ثُمَّ يُنَادِي يَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ، فَيَشْرَئِبُّونَ وَيَنْظُرُونَ، فَيَقُولُ هَلْ تَعْرِفُونَ هَذَا فَيَقُولُونَ نَعَمْ هَذَا الْمَوْتُ، وَكُلُّهُمْ قَدْ رَآهُ، فَيُذْبَحُ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ يَا أَهْلَ الْجَنَّةِ، خُلُودٌ فَلاَ مَوْتَ، وَيَا أَهْلَ النَّارِ، خُلُودٌ فَلاَ مَوْتَ ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ} وَهَؤُلاَءِ فِي غَفْلَةٍ أَهْلُ الدُّنْيَا {وَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ} "

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3287
It was narrated from Umm Habibah that she said:
"O Messenger of Allah, what do you think of my sister?" He said: "What for?" She said: "For marriage." He said: "Would you like that?" She said: "Yes; I do not have you all to myself, and I would like to share this goodness with my sister." He said: "She is not permissible for me (to marry)." She said: "But I heard that you want to marry Durrah, the daughter of Umm Salamah." He said: "The daughter of Umm Salamah?" She said: "Yes." He said: "By Allah, even if she were not my stepdaughter she would not be permissible for me (to marry), because she is the daughter of my brother through breast-feeding. Do not offer your daughters and sisters to me in marriage."
أَخْبَرَنَا هَنَّادُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لَكَ فِي أُخْتِي قَالَ " فَأَصْنَعُ مَاذَا " . قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجُهَا . قَالَ " فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْكِ " . قَالَتْ نَعَمْ لَسْتُ لَكَ بِمُخْلِيَةٍ وَأَحَبُّ مَنْ يَشْرَكُنِي فِي خَيْرٍ أُخْتِي . قَالَ " إِنَّهَا لاَ تَحِلُّ لِي " . قَالَتْ فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ بَلَغَنِي أَنَّكَ تَخْطُبُ دُرَّةَ بِنْتَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ . قَالَ " بِنْتُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ " . قَالَتْ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " وَاللَّهِ لَوْ لَمْ تَكُنْ رَبِيبَتِي مَا حَلَّتْ لِي إِنَّهَا لاَبْنَةُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ فَلاَ تَعْرِضْنَ عَلَىَّ بَنَاتِكُنَّ وَلاَ أَخَوَاتِكُنَّ " .

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
"A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) while he was delivering a Khutbah from the Minbar, and he said: 'If I fight in the cause of Allah with patience and seeking reward, facing the enemy and not running away, do you think that Allah will forgive my sins?' He said: 'Yes.' Then he fell silent for a while. Then he said: 'Where is the one who was asking just now?' The man said: 'Here I am.' He said: 'What did you say?' He said: 'What did you say?' He said: 'I said: I said: If I fight in the cause of Allah with patience and seeking reward,facing the enemy and not running away, do you think that Allah will forgive my sins?' He said: 'Yes, except for debt. Jibril told me that just now.'"

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A desert Arab came to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said: My wife has given birth to a dark-complexioned child and I have disowned him. Thereupon Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said: Have you any camels? He said: Yes. He said: What is their colour? He said? They are red. He said: Is there anyone dusky among them? He said: Yes. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: How has it come about? He said: Messenger of Allah, it is perhaps due to the strain to which it has reverted, whereupon the Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: It (the birth) of the black child may be due to the strain to which he (the child) might have reverted.
وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَرْمَلَةَ - قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ، وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّصلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ امْرَأَتِي وَلَدَتْ غُلاَمًا أَسْوَدَ وَإِنِّي أَنْكَرْتُهُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ إِبِلٍ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " مَا أَلْوَانُهَا " . قَالَ حُمْرٌ . قَالَ " فَهَلْ فِيهَا مِنْ أَوْرَقَ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَأَنَّى هُوَ " . قَالَ لَعَلَّهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَكُونُ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ لَهُ . فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَهَذَا لَعَلَّهُ يَكُونُ نَزَعَهُ عِرْقٌ لَهُ " .

'Abdullah reported:
I visited Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as he was running a high temperature. I touched his body with my hand and said to him: Allah's Messenger, you are running a high temperature, whereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Yes, it is so. I comparatively have a more severe fever than any one of you. I said: Is it because there is a double reward in store for you? Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Yes, it is so. And Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) again said: When a Muslim falls ill, his compensation is that his minor sins are obliterated just as leaves fall (in autumn). In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Zubair there is (no mention of these words):" I touched his body with my hands."

فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَتُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم "
أَجَلْ إِنِّي أُوعَكُ كَمَا يُوعَكُ رَجُلاَنِ مِنْكُمْ " . قَالَ فَقُلْتُ ذَلِكَ أَنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَيْنِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ
اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَجَلْ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مِنْ
مُسْلِمٍ يُصِيبُهُ أَذًى مِنْ مَرَضٍ فَمَا سِوَاهُ إِلاَّ حَطَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ سَيِّئَاتِهِ كَمَا تَحُطُّ الشَّجَرَةُ وَرَقَهَا
" . وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ زُهَيْرٍ فَمَسِسْتُهُ بِيَدِي .

Ibn 'Umar said:
'Umar asked the verdict of the Shari'ah from the Apostle (may peace be upon him) thus: Is it permissible for any one of us to sleep in a state of impurity? He (the Holy Prophet said: Yes, he must perform ablution and then sleep and take a bath when he desires.

I heard Anas as saying that the Companion of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) dozed off and then offered prayer and did not perform ablution. He (the narrator) said: I asked him if he had actually heard it from Anas. He said: By Allah. yes.
وَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْحَارِثِ - حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا، يَقُولُ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنَامُونَ ثُمَّ يُصَلُّونَ وَلاَ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ قَالَ قُلْتُ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ إِي وَاللَّهِ .

Narrated Adi ibn Hatim:
Messenger of Allah, one of us shoots at the game, and follows its mark for two or three days, and then finds it dead, and there is his arrow (pierced) in it, may he eat it? He said: Yes, if he wishes, or he said: he may eat if he wishes.
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ خُلَيْفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَحَدُنَا يَرْمِي الصَّيْدَ فَيَقْتَفِي أَثَرَهُ الْيَوْمَيْنِ وَالثَّلاَثَةَ ثُمَّ يَجِدُهُ مَيِّتًا وَفِيهِ سَهْمُهُ أَيَأْكُلُ قَالَ " نَعَمْ إِنْ شَاءَ " . أَوْ قَالَ " يَأْكُلُ إِنْ شَاءَ " .

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
A woman said: Messenger of Allah, my mother suddenly died; if it had not happened, she would have given sadaqah (charity) and donated (something). Will it suffice if I give sadaqah on her behalf? The Prophet (saws) said: Yes, give sadaqah on her behalf.
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أُمِّيَ افْتُلِتَتْ نَفْسُهَا وَلَوْلاَ ذَلِكَ لَتَصَدَّقَتْ وَأَعْطَتْ أَفَيُجْزِئُ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" نَعَمْ فَتَصَدَّقِي عَنْهَا " .

Umm Sulaim, the wife Abu Talha said, “O Allah’s Messenger! Allah is not ashamed of the truth. Is a Ghusl (bath) compulsory for a woman when she has a sexual dream?” He (saw) replied, “Yes! When she sees signs of liquid” [Agreed upon].
] وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ; أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ -وَهِيَ اِمْرَأَةُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ- قَالَتْ: { يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! إِنَّ اَللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنْ اَلْحَقِّ, فَهَلْ عَلَى اَلْمَرْأَةِ اَلْغُسْلُ إِذَا اِحْتَلَمَتْ? قَالَ:
"نَعَمْ. إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ" } اَلْحَدِيثَ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 [ .

" نَعَمْ وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَكُمَا نِصْفَانِ " .

narrated that Anas bin Malik said:
“They said: ‘O Messenger of
Allah, is Hajj (required) every year?’ He said: ‘If I were to say
yes,
it would have become obligatory, and if it were to become
obligatory,
you would not (be able to) do it, and if you did not do
it you would
be punished.’”

Narrated Abu Jamra:
I heard Ibn `Abbas (giving a verdict) when he was asked about the Mut'a with the women, and he permitted it (Nikah-al-Mut'a). On that a freed slave of his said to him, "That is only when it is very badly needed and women are scarce." On that, Ibn `Abbas said, "Yes."

I visited the Prophet ({PBUH) while he was suffering. I said: "(O Messenger of Allah!) You suffer too much.'' He said, "Yes, I suffer as much as two men of you.''

"A Bedouin came to the Prphet and said:
'I have sighted the crescent.' He said: 'Do you bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger?' He said: 'Yes.' So the Prophet gave the call saying: 'Fast."'

"While we were with Mu'awiyah on one of his pilgrimages, he gathered together a group of the Companions of Muhammad [SAW] and said to them: 'Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade wearing gold unless it was broken (into smaller pieces)?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.'"

A man asked the Prophet (saw), “Should I perform ablution after eating mutton?” He replied, “If you wish so”, he then asked, “Should I perform ablution after eating camel meat?” He (saw) said, “Yes”.

Sunan Ibn Majah 1835
It was narrated that:
Umm Salamah said: “The Messenger of Allah enjoined charity upon us. Zainab, the wife of Abdullah said: 'Will it be accepted as charity on my part if I give charity to my husband who is poor, and to the children of a brother of mine who are orphans, spending such and such on them, and in all circumstances?' He said: 'Yes.'”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِالصَّدَقَةِ . فَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ امْرَأَةُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَيُجْزِينِي مِنَ الصَّدَقَةِ أَنْ أَتَصَدَّقَ عَلَى زَوْجِي وَهُوَ فَقِيرٌ وَبَنِي أَخٍ لِي أَيْتَامٍ وَأَنَا أُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِمْ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا وَعَلَى كُلِّ حَالٍ قَالَ
" نَعَمْ " . قَالَ وَكَانَتْ صَنَاعَ الْيَدَيْنِ .

Al-Khawlani narrated that a man asked Abu Darda’:
“Should I
recite when the Imam is reciting?” He said: “A man asked the
Prophet
(saw) whether there was recitation in every prayer. The
Messenger of
Allah (saw) said: ‘Yes.’ A man among the people
said: ‘It has become
obligatory.’”

Sunan Ibn Majah 4115
It was
narrated from Mu’adh bin Jabal that the Messenger of Allah
(saw)
said:
“Shall I not tell you about the kings of Paradise?’ I
said:
‘Yes.’ He said: ‘A weak and oppressed man who wears tattered
clothes and is not paid any heed. If he swears (an oath) by Allah,
Allah fulfills it.’”

Narrated Ka`b bin 'Ujara:
The Prophet passed by me while I was kindling a fire under a (cooking) pot. He said, "Do the lice of your head trouble you?" I said, "Yes." So he called a barber to shave my head and ordered me to make expiation for that."

" أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ ". قُلْتُ نَعَمْ. فَدَعَا الْحَلاَّقَ فَحَلَقَهُ ثُمَّ أَمَرَنِي بِالْفِدَاءِ.

Narrated Um Salama:
Um Sulaim came to Allah's Apostle and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Verily, Allah does not feel shy to tell the truth. If a woman gets a nocturnal sexual discharge (has a wet dream), is it essential for her to take a bath? He replied, "Yes if she notices a discharge."

" نَعَمْ إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ ".

"A Bedouin come to the Prophet and said; 'I have sighted the crescent tonight.' He said: 'Do you bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Messenger?' He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'O Bilal, announce to the people that they should fast tomorrow. "'
أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ أَبْصَرْتُ الْهِلاَلَ اللَّيْلَةَ . قَالَ " أَتَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ " . قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " يَا بِلاَلُ أَذِّنْ فِي النَّاسِ فَلْيَصُومُوا غَدًا " .

I said: You heard it from Him? He said: Yes. (Sahih )

It was narrated from Abu Himman:
That when Mu'awiyah went on Hajj, he gathered together a group of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah [SAW] at the Ka'bah and said to them: "I adjure you by Allah, did the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbid wearing gold?" They said: "Yes." He said: "And I bear witness to that."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو شَيْخٍ الْهُنَائِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي حِمَّانَ، أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَامَ حَجَّ جَمَعَ نَفَرًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَنْشُدُكُمُ اللَّهَ أَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ قَالُوا نَعَمْ . قَالَ وَأَنَا أَشْهَدُ . خَالَفَهُ حَرْبُ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ رَوَاهُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ عَنْ أَخِيهِ حِمَّانَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3649
It was narrated from 'Aishah that a man said to the Messenger of Allah:
"My mother died unexpectedly; if she had been able to speak she would have given charity. Should I give charity on her behalf?" The Messenger of Allah said: "Yes." So he gave charity on her behalf.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْقَاسِمِ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِنَّ أُمِّي افْتُلِتَتْ نَفْسُهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَوْ تَكَلَّمَتْ تَصَدَّقَتْ أَفَأَتَصَدَّقُ عَنْهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" نَعَمْ ". فَتَصَدَّقَ عَنْهَا.

Narrated Salman al-Farsi:
It was said to Salman: Your Prophet teaches you everything, even about excrement. He replied: Yes. He has forbidden us to face the qiblah at the time of easing or urinating, and cleansing with right hand, and cleansing with less than three stones, or cleansing with dung or bone.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ سَلْمَانَ، قَالَ قِيلَ لَهُ لَقَدْ عَلَّمَكُمْ نَبِيُّكُمْ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَتَّى الْخِرَاءَةَ . قَالَ أَجَلْ لَقَدْ نَهَانَا صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ نَسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ أَوْ بَوْلٍ وَأَنْ لاَ نَسْتَنْجِيَ بِالْيَمِينِ وَأَنْ لاَ يَسْتَنْجِيَ أَحَدُنَا بِأَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلاَثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ أَوْ يَسْتَنْجِيَ بِرَجِيعٍ أَوْ عَظْمٍ .

وَحَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، قَالَ سَأَلَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَطَاءً فَقَالَ أَحَدَّثَكَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا أَوْ لِيُزْرِعْهَا أَخَاهُ وَلاَ يُكْرِهَا " . قَالَ نَعَمْ .

Ikrimah narrated from Ibn Abbas that :
a man said: "O Messenger of Allah! My mother died, will it benefit her if I give charity on her behalf?" He said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I have a Makhraf, so bear witness that I have given it in charity on her behalf.'"

" نَعَمْ " . قَالَ فَإِنَّ لِي مَخْرَفًا فَأُشْهِدُكَ أَنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ بِهِ عَنْهَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ . يَقُولُونَ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ يَصِلُ إِلَى الْمَيِّتِ إِلاَّ الصَّدَقَةُ وَالدُّعَاءُ . وَقَدْ رَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُرْسَلاً . قَالَ وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ إِنَّ لِي مَخْرَفًا . يَعْنِي بُسْتَانًا .

I asked 'Aishah: Would the Messenger of Allah (saws) fast three days every month ? She replied: Yes. I asked: Which days in the month he used to fast ? She replied: He did not care which days of the month he fasted.

Anas said to Thabit :
Should I not use the spell of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) for you ? He said : Yes. He then said : O Allah, Lord of men, Remover of the harm, heal, Thou art the healer. There is no healer but Thou; given him a remedy which leaves no disease behind.

" اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ مُذْهِبَ الْبَاسِ اشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لاَ شَافِيَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ اشْفِهِ شِفَاءً لاَ يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا " .

Abu'd-Darda' reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "Shall I tell you a degree better than prayer, fasting
and sadaqa?" "Yes," they replied. He went to say, Improving a state of
friendship. Causing discord in a state of friendship is what shaves things
away."

"The Messenger of Allah (saas) said to me: "Shall I not tell you of a treasure which is one of the treasures of Paradise?' I said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah (There is no power and no strength except with Allah).'" (sahih)

narrated that ‘Amr bin ‘Abasah said:
“I came to the Messenger

with you?’ He said: ‘A free man and a slave.’ I said: ‘Is
there any
hour of the night that is closer to Allah than another?’
He said:
‘Yes, the last half of the night.’”

It was narrated that Qatadah said. `Abdullah bin Shaqeeq said:
`Uthman used to forbid mut’ah (of Hajj, i.e., tamattu`) and ‘Ali used to enjoin it. `Uthman said something to `Ali, then `Ali said: You know that we did tamattu` with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) . He said: Yes, but we were in a state of fear then.

It was narrated that Ibn al Hanafiyyah said:
`Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), if I have a son after you are gone, I will call him by your name and give him your kunyah. He said: `Yes.` That was a concession from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to `Ali.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:
Allah's Apostle entered upon sick man to pay him a visit, and said to him, "Don't worry, Allah willing, (your sickness will be) an expiation for your sins." The man said, "No, it is but a fever that is boiling within an old man and will send him to his grave." On that, the Prophet said, "Then yes, it is so."

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"I asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW) about the torment of the grave, and he siad: 'Yes, the torment of the grave is real.'" 'Aishah said: "After that I never saw the Messenger of Allah (SAW) offer any prayer but he would seek refuge with Allah (SWT) from the torment of the grave."

Sa, id b. jubair reported that it was said to Ibn 'Abbas that Nauf al-Bikali was of the opinion that Moses who went in search of knowledge was not the Moses of Bani Isra'il. He said:
Sa'id, did you hear it from him? I said: Yes. Thereupon he said that Nauf had not stated the fact.

Jabir told that when they were with God’s messenger at Marr az-Zahran and were plucking the fruit of the arak tree he said, “Keep to its black ones, for they are the most pleasant.” He was asked if he had shepherded sheep and replied, “Yes; has there been a prophet who did not shepherd them?”

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1185
'Abdullah ibn Zayd ibn 'Asim al-Mazini said, "I saw him." Malik
ibn Isma'il asked Ibn 'Uyayna (who had transmitted this to him), "The Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace?" He replied, "Yes, lying down
with one of his feet over the other."
حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يُحَدِّثُهُ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُهُ، قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ: النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ مُسْتَلْقِيًا، وَاضِعًا إِحْدَى رِجْلَيْهِ عَلَى الأُخْرَى.

Bulugh al-Maram 1420
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said to a man, "Do you see the sun?" He replied, "Yes." He said, "Give witness in a similar case [which is as clear as the sun], or leave it."
[Ibn 'Adi reported it with a Da'if (weak) chain or narrators, and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic), but he was mistaken].
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ لِرَجُلٍ: "تَرَى اَلشَّمْسَ ?" قَالَ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: "عَلَى مِثْلِهَا فَاشْهَدْ, أَوْ دَعْ" } أَخْرَجَهُ اِبْنُ عَدِيٍّ بِإِسْنَادٍ ضَعِيفٍ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ فَأَخْطَأ َ 1 .

Sahih Muslim 1001 a
Umm Salama said:
I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) whether there is a reward for me if I spend on Abu Salama's sons, and I am not going to abandon them in this state (of helplessness) for they are my sons. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Yes. For you is the reward for what you spend on them.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِي أَجْرٌ فِي بَنِي أَبِي سَلَمَةَ أُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَسْتُ بِتَارِكَتِهِمْ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا إِنَّمَا هُمْ بَنِيَّ . فَقَالَ
" نَعَمْ لَكِ فِيهِمْ أَجْرُ مَا أَنْفَقْتِ عَلَيْهِمْ " .

Sufyan reported:
I said to 'Abd al-Rahman b. Qasim: Have you heard from your father narrating from 'A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) that he kissed her while observing fast? He ('Abd al-Rahman b. Qasim) kept silence for a short while and then said:" Yes."
حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ أَسَمِعْتَ أَبَاكَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُقَبِّلُهَا وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ فَسَكَتَ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَ نَعَمْ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2082
lt was narrated that Abul Hasan, the freed slave of Banu Nawfal, said:
"Ibn 'Abbas was asked about a slave who divorces his wife twice, then (they are freed). Can he marry her? He said: 'Yes.' It was said to him: 'On what basis?' He said: 'The Messenger of Allah (SAW) passed such a judgement .' " (D a' if)

It was
narrated that Abu Masruq said:
“I heard Fadalah bin ‘Ubaid
Al-
Ansari narrating that the Prophet (saw) came out to them on a day
when
he was fasting. He called for a vessel and drank. We said: ‘O
Messenger of Allah, you were fasting today.’ He said: ‘Yes, but I
vomited.’”

" أَجَلْ. وَلَكِنِّي قِئْتُ " .

Narrated Um Salama:
I said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall I get a reward (in the Hereafter) if I spend on the children of Abu Salama and do not leave them like this and like this (i.e., poor) but treat them like my children?" The Prophet said, "Yes, you will be rewarded for that which you will spend on them."

Narrated `Abdullah:
I visited the Prophet during his ailments and he was suffering from a high fever. I said, "You have a high fever. Is it because you will have a double reward for it?" He said, "Yes, for no Muslim is afflicted with any harm but that Allah will remove his sins as the leaves of a tree fall down."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَرَضِهِ وَهْوَ يُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا، وَقُلْتُ إِنَّكَ لَتُوعَكُ وَعْكًا شَدِيدًا. قُلْتُ إِنَّ ذَاكَ بِأَنَّ لَكَ أَجْرَيْنِ. قَالَ
" أَجَلْ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يُصِيبُهُ أَذًى، إِلاَّ حَاتَّ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَطَايَاهُ، كَمَا تَحَاتُّ وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ ".

Narrated Um Salama:
While I was lying with the Prophet under a woolen sheet, I got my menses. I slipped away and put on the clothes for menses. The Prophet said, "Have you got your menses?" I replied, "Yes." He called me and I slept with him under the woolen sheet.
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ ابْنَةِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ بَيْنَا أَنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم مُضْطَجِعَةً فِي خَمِيلَةٍ حِضْتُ، فَانْسَلَلْتُ فَأَخَذْتُ ثِيَابَ حِيضَتِي فَقَالَ
" أَنُفِسْتِ ". فَقُلْتُ نَعَمْ. فَدَعَانِي فَاضْطَجَعْتُ مَعَهُ فِي الْخَمِيلَةِ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3406
It was narrated from Ibn Tawus, from his father, that Abu As-Sahba' came to Ibn 'Abbas and said:
"O Ibn 'Abbas! Did you not know that the threefold divorce during the time of the Messenger of Allah and Abu Bakr, and during the early part of 'Umar's Caliphate, used to be counted as one divorce?" He said: "Yes."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ أَبَا الصَّهْبَاءِ، جَاءَ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ الثَّلاَثَ، كَانَتْ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَصَدْرًا مِنْ خِلاَفَةِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا تُرَدُّ إِلَى الْوَاحِدَةِ قَالَ نَعَمْ .
