Some people used to allot some date palm trees to the Prophet as gift till he conquered Banu Quraiza and Bani An-Nadir, where upon he started returning their date palms to them.

The Prophet said Al-Qunut after Bowing (i.e. Ar-Ruku') for one month, invoking evil upon (the tribes of) Ril and Dhakwan. He used to say, "Usaiya disobeyed Allah and His Apostle."

This tradition is narrated by Abu Kuraib, Ibn Numair, Abu Tahir, Ibn Wahb, Yahya b. 'Abdullah b. Salim, Malik b. Anas, 'Amr b. Harith on the authority of Hisham b. 'Urwa, with the same chain of transmitters like one transmitted by Yahya b. Sa'id like the above-mentioned.

The Prophet (saws) said: When a man has two wives and he is inclined to one of them, he will come on the Day of resurrection with a side hanging down.

"Alcoholic drinks were prohibited at the time we could rarely find wine made from grapes in Medina, for most of our liquors were made from unripe and ripe dates.

I served the Prophet for ten years, and he never said to me, "Uf" (a minor harsh word denoting impatience) and never blamed me by saying, "Why did you do so or why didn't you do so?"

Whenever Allah's Apostle greeted somebody, he used to greet him three times, and if he spoke a sentence, he used to repeat it thrice.

Whenever the Prophet went to the lavatory, he used to say: "Allahumma inni a`udhu bika min al-khubuthi wal khaba'ith."

The Prophet did not eat at a table till he died, and he did not eat a thin nicely baked wheat bread till he died.

Whenever the Prophet went to answer the call of nature, I used to bring water with which he used to clean his private parts.

The Prophet used to visit all his wives in one night and he had nine wives at that time.

Allah's Apostle used to offer the `Asr prayer when the sunshine had not disappeared from my chamber.

Allah's Apostle said, "If the supper is served start having it before praying the Maghrib prayer and do not be hasty in finishing it."

The Prophet offered four rak`at of the Zuhr prayer in Medina and two rak`at of the `Asr prayer in Dhul-Hulaifa and I heard them (the companions of the Prophet) reciting Talbiya together loudly to the extent of shouting.

The Prophet never returned to his family from a journey at night. He used to return either in the morning or in the afternoon.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: These privies are frequented by the jinns and devils. So when anyone amongst you goes there, he should say: "I seek refuge in Allah from male and female devils."

The Prophet (saws) said: Stand close together in your rows, bring them near one another, and stand neck to neck, for by Him in Whose hand my soul is, I see the devil coming in through openings in the row just like a small black sheep.

A similar tradition has been transmitted by a different chain of narrators, on the same authority with a slight difference In the wording.

Anas b. Malik reported that a Jewess brought poisoned meat and then served it to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)

Anas reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) was at az-Zaura' and a vessel containing water was brought to him in which his finger could not be completely dipped or completely covered; the rest of the hadith is the same.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Anas through another chain of transmitters, but with a small variation of wording.

The Prophet had informed us of the death of Ja`far and Zaid before the news of their death reached us, and his eyes were shedding tears.

The Prophet said, "The sign of Belief is to love the Ansar, and the sign of hypocrisy is to hate the Ansar."

Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet took Safiya as a captive. He manumitted her and married her." Thabit asked Anas, "What did he give her as Mahr (i.e. marriage gift)?" Anas replied. "Her Mahr was herself, for he manumitted her."

When the Prophet (saws) congratulated a man on his marriage, he said: May Allah bless for you, and may He bless on you, and combine both of you in good (works).

The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to command us to fast the days of the white (nights): thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth of the month. He said: This is like keeping perpetual fast.

We four persons, came to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and we (i.e. each one of us) had horses. He therefore, allotted one portion for each of us, and two portions for his horse.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) read the verse: "eye for eye" (al-'aynu bil-'ayn).

I had a hanging lock of hair. My mother said to me: I shall not cut it, for the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to stretch it our and hold it.

I never saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) that some dispute which involved retaliation was brought to him but he commanded regarding it for remission.
