"I saw the Messenger of Allah (SAW) saying the takir every time he went down or came up, or stood or sat, and he said the salam to his right and to his left: As-salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah, peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah) until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen . And I saw Abu Bakr and 'Umar, may Allah (WT) be pleased with them, doing likewise."

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no man who has wealth and does not pay the dues of his wealth, but a baldheaded Shuja'a will be made to encircle his neck, and he will run away from the Book of Allah: 'And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them of His Bounty (wealth)' think that it is good for them (and so they do not pay the obligatory Zakah). Nay, it will be worse for them; the things which they covetously withheld, shall be tied toothier necks like a collar on the Day of Resurrection."'

"People say: 'When you sit to relieve yourself, do not face the Qiblah.' But one day I climbed up onto the roof of our house, and I saw the Messenger of Allah sitting on two bricks (to relieve himself), facing the direction of Baitul-Maqdis (Jerusalem)." This is a Hadith narrated by Yazid bin Harun.

His father who was under the care of Abu Sa'eed said: "Abu Sa'eed said to me: 'If you are in the desert, raise your voice when you say the Adhan, for I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'No jinn, human, tree or rock will hear it, but it will bear witness for you.'"

“The Messenger of Allah (saw) broke his fast with Sa’d bin Mu’adh and said: ‘Aftara ‘indakumus-saimun, wa akala ta’amakumul-abrar, wa sallat ‘alaikumul- mala’ikah (May fasting people break their fast with you, may the righteous eat your food, and may the angels send blessing upon you).”

“I asked Jabir bin ‘Abdullah about hyenas: ‘Are they game (that can be hunted)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Can I eat them?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ I said: ‘Is this something that you heard from the Messenger of Allah (saw)?’ He said: ‘Yes.’”

“O Messenger of Allah, why don’t you buy this two piece suit (to wear for meeting) the delegations, and on Fridays?” The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “This is only worn by one who has no share in the Hereafter.”

“I said to ‘Abdullah bin Abi Awfa: ‘Did you see Ibrahim, the son of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)?’ He said: ‘He died when he was small, and if it had been decreed that there should be any Prophet after Muhammad (SAW), his son would have lived. But there is no Prophet after him.’”

“When the following was reveled: “Then on that Day you shall be asked about the delights (you indulged in, in this world)! [102:8] Zubair said: ‘What delights shall we be asked about? It is only the two black ones, dates and water.’ He said: ‘It is going to happen.’”

“Lest they become as those who received the Scripture before, and the term was prolonged for them and so their hearts were hardened? And many of them were rebellious.” [57:16]

"I saw Umar bin Al-Khattab kissing the (Black) Stone and saying: 'I am kissing you while I know that you are just a stone, and if I had not seen the Messenger of Allah kissing you, I would not kiss you.'"

‘Abdallah b. Abu Aufa told that God’s messenger said in the morning, "We have reached the morning, and in the morning the dominion belongs to God; praise is due to God; majesty and might belong to God; the creation, the command, night and day and what is at rest by night and day belong to God. O God, make the beginning of this day uprightness, its middle success, and its end attainment, O most merciful among those who show mercy." Nawawi mentioned it in Kitab al-adhkar by the transmission of Ibn as-Sunni.

‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud said that God’s Messenger used to turn to the right when giving the salutation, “Peace and God’s mercy be upon you,” so that the whiteness of his right cheek could be seen; also to the left when giving the salutation, “Peace and God’s mercy be upon you,” so that the whitness of his left cheek could be seen. Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Nasa’i transmitted it, but Tirmidhi did not mention, “So that the whiteness of his cheek could be seen.” Ibn Majah transmitted it from ‘Ammar b. Yasir.

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Beware of stopping to rest and praying in the middle of the road, for it is the refuge of snakes and carnivorous animals, and beware of relieving yourselves in the middle of the road, for this is an act that provokes curses.'"

It was narrated from Jabir bin ‘Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (saw) ordered that a piece from every camel that had been slaughtered be brought and placed in a pot, then they ate from its meat and drank some of the broth.

“We used to recite the Opening of the Book and a Surah behind the Imam in the first two Rak’ah of the Zuhr and the ‘Asr, and in the last wo Rak’ah (we would recite) the Opening of the Book.”

“The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘The best rows for men are the front rows and the worst rows are the back rows, and the best rows for women are the back rows and the worst are the front rows.’”

“The Prophet (saw) said: ‘When you perform prayer, do not spit in front of you or to your right, but spit to your left or beneath your feet.’”

“Sulaik Ghatafani entered the mosque when the Prophet (saw) was delivering the sermon. He said: ‘Have you prayed?’ He said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Then perform two Rak’ah.’”

“If a child utters a sound (after being born), the funeral prayer should be offered for him and (his relatives) may inherit from him.”

The Prophet said: 'Rinse your mouths after drinking milk for there is some greasiness in it."

that the Prophet cursed men who imitate women and woman who imitate men.

“There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.”

“The Messenger of Allah (SAW) passed judgement on the basis of a witness along with an oath by the claimant.

“Whoever changes his religion, execute him.”

“Do not carry out the legal punishment in the mosque.”

“Teeth are all the same; the incisor and the molar are the same.”

“This and this are the same” - meaning the pinky finger, ring finger and thumb.

“Do not keep looking at those who have leprosy.”

“The Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade drinking (directly) from the mouth of a water skin.”

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (saw) did not perform any ‘Umrah except in Dhul-Qa’dah.”

“I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones.”

“Perform your prayer at your camps.”

“The Messenger of Allah (saw) used to have a bath on the day of Fitr and the day of Adha.”

“The Prophet (saw) used to pray the night prayer two Rak’ah by two Rak’ah.”

“The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: ‘The niche-grave is for us and the ditch-grave is for others.”

AbulBakhtari said: I heard from a man a tradition which I liked. I said to him: Write it down for me. So he brought it clearly written to me.

(It says): Al-Abbas and Ali entered upon Umar when Talhah, az-Zubayr, AbdurRahman and Sa'd were with him. They (Abbas and Ali) were disputing.

Umar said to Talhah, az-Zubayr, AbdurRahman and Sa'd: Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: All the property of the Prophet (saws) is sadaqah (alms), except what he provided for his family for their sustenance and their clothing. We are not to be inherited.

They said: Yes, indeed. He said: The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to spend from his property on his family, and give the residue as sadaqah (alms). The Messenger of Allah (saws) then died, and AbuBakr ruled for two years. He would deal with it in the same manner as the Messenger of Allah (saws) did. He then mentioned a little from the tradition of Malik ibn Aws.

I, al-Abbas, Fatimah and Zayd ibn Harithah gathered with the Prophet (saws) and I said: Messenger of Allah, if you think to assign us our right (portion) in this fifth ( of the booty) as mentioned in the Book of Allah, and this I may divide during your lifetime so that no one may dispute me after you, then do it. He said: He did that. He said: I divided it during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (saws). AbuBakr then assigned it to me. During the last days of the caliphate of Umar a good deal of property came to him and took out our portion. I said to him: We are well to do this year; but the Muslims are needy, so return it to them. He, therefore, returned it to them. No one called me after Umar. I met al-Abbas when I came out from Umar. He said: Ali, today you have deprived us of a thing that will never be returned to us. He was indeed a man of wisdom.

"Aishah heard that 'Abdullah bin 'Amr was telling his wives to undo their braids (when they bathed). She said: 'How odd that Ibn 'Amr would do that! Why does he not tell them to shave their heads? The Messenger of Allah and I used to bathe from a single vessel, and I never did more than pour three handfuls of water over my head.'"

“Imran bin Husain said to me: ‘I will tell you a Hadith, that Allah may benefit you thereby after this day. Know that Allah’s Messenger (saw) had a group from his family perform ‘Umrah during the ten (days) of Dhul-Hijjah, and the Messenger of Allah (saw) did not forbid that, and no abrogation of that was revealed, and it does not matter what anyone else suggests.’”

The Prophet thereupon recited a verse at which a prostration should be made, then prostrated himself, and I heard him saying the words the man told him the tree had said. Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, but Ibn Majah did not mention, "and accept it from me as Thou didst accept it from Thy servant David.” Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition.

"Between the two prostrations, the Prophet would say: (Allahummaghfir li, warhamni, wajburni, wahdini, warzuqni). 'O Allah! Pardon me, have mercy on me, help me, guide me, and grant me sustenance.'"

That the Prophet (saws) said to a delegation from 'Abdul-Qais: "I order you to give the Khumus from your spoils of war."

He said: There is a story with this Hadith

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "No one of you should meet a woman in privacy unless she is accompanied by a Mahram (i.e., a relative within the prohibited degrees)."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Blessing descends upon food in its middle, so eat from the sides of the vessel and do not eat from its middle."

[Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi].

'Umar said: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a journey and a man said: No, by my father. Another man said: “Do not swear by your fathers.` I turned and saw that it was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.

Ibn ‘Abbas said, "I never saw the Prophet singling out any day’s fast and considering it more excellent than another, except this day, the day of ‘Ashura’,* and this month, meaning the month of Ramadan." *The 10th of Muharram. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn ‘Abbas said that it was the custom of God’s messenger not to eat on the middle days* of the month whether travelling or not. *Literally, the days of the white (nights). These are the days following the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth nights of the month, the nights when there is most moonlight. Nasa’i transmitted it.

It is related in munqati’ form on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas that the Prophet said, “No legacy is to be left to an heir unless the other heirs are agreeable.” This is the wording in al-Masabih, but in Daraqutni’s version he said, “A legacy to an heir is not allowable unless the other heirs are agreeable.”

Ibn ‘Abbas told that Sa'd b. ‘Ubada asked the Prophet for a decision about a vow taken by his mother who had died before fulfilling it, and that he gave decision that he should fulfil it on her behalf. (Bukhari and Muslim.)
