Sunan an-Nasa'i 5324
It was narrated that Miswar bin Makhramah said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] distributed some Qaba's but he did not give anything to Makhramah. Makhramah said: 'O my son, let us go to the Messenger of Allah [SAW].' So I went with him and he said: 'Go in and call him for me.' So I called him, and he came out wearing one of the Qaba's. He said: 'I kept this for you.' And he looked at him, and Makhramah put it on."
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَقْبِيَةً وَلَمْ يُعْطِ مَخْرَمَةَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ مَخْرَمَةُ يَا بُنَىَّ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ قَالَ ادْخُلْ فَادْعُهُ لِي . قَالَ فَدَعَوْتُهُ فَخَرَجَ إِلَيْهِ وَعَلَيْهِ قِبَاءٌ مِنْهَا فَقَالَ
" خَبَّأْتُ هَذَا لَكَ " . فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَبِسَهُ مَخْرَمَةُ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3530
`Amr bin Murrah said:
“I heard Abu Wa’il say: ‘`Abdullah bin Mas`ud said’ and I said to him: ‘Did you hear it from `Abdullah?’ He said: ‘Yes.’ And he narrated it in Marfu` form that he said: ‘There is none with more Ghirah than Allah, and due to this He prohibited the lewd sins, that which is apparent of them and that which is hidden. And there is none to whom praise is more beloved than Allah, and due to this, He praised Himself.’”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، يَقُولُ قُلْتُ لَهُ أَأَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ نَعَمْ . وَرَفَعَهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
" لاَ أَحَدَ أَغْيَرُ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَلِذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلاَ أَحَدَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَلِذَلِكَ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2922
Narrated Ma'qil bin Yasar:
that the Prophet (SAW) said: "Whoever says three times when he gets up in the morning: 'A'udhu Billahis-Sami Al-'Alim Min Ash-Shaitanir-Rajim' and he recites three Ayat from the end of Surah Al-Hashr - Allah appoints seventy-thousand angels who say Salat upon him until the evening. If he dies on that day, he dies a martyr, and whoever reaches the evening, he holds the same status."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ أَبُو الْعَلاَءِ الْخَفَّافُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعُ بْنُ أَبِي نَافِعٍ، عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ السَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَقَرَأَ ثَلاَثَ آيَاتٍ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْحَشْرِ وَكَّلَ اللَّهُ بِهِ سَبْعِينَ أَلْفَ مَلَكٍ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَإِنْ مَاتَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ مَاتَ شَهِيدًا وَمَنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي كَانَ بِتِلْكَ الْمَنْزِلَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3815
Narrated Jabalah bin Harithah, the brother of Zaid:
"I came to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, send my brother Zaid with me.' He said: 'Here he is.' He said: "'If he goes with you, I will not prevent him.' Zaid said: 'O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I will not choose anyone over you.'" He said: "So I considered the view of my brother to be better than my own view."
حَدَّثَنَا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَغَيْرُ، وَاحِدٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ الرُّومِيِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي جَبَلَةُ بْنُ حَارِثَةَ، أَخُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ابْعَثْ مَعِي أَخِي زَيْدًا . قَالَ " هُوَ ذَا " . قَالَ " فَإِنِ انْطَلَقَ مَعَكَ لَمْ أَمْنَعْهُ " . قَالَ زَيْدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَخْتَارُ عَلَيْكَ أَحَدًا . قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُ رَأْىَ أَخِي أَفْضَلَ مِنْ رَأْيِي . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الرُّومِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3003
Narrated Anas:
"The face of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) was wounded, his incisors were broken, and he was struck by an arrow on his shoulder. While blood was flowing over his face and he was wiping it, he said: 'How can a nation succeed while they are doing this to their Prophet and he is calling them to Allah?' So Allah, Most High revealed: Not for you is the decision; whether He turns in mercy towards them or punishes them; verily they are the wrongdoers (3:128)."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَعَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شُجَّ فِي وَجْهِهِ وَكُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ وَرُمِيَ رَمْيَةً عَلَى كَتِفِهِ فَجَعَلَ الدَّمُ يَسِيلُ عَلَى وَجْهِهِ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُهُ وَيَقُولُ " كَيْفَ تُفْلِحُ أُمَّةٌ فَعَلُوا هَذَا بِنَبِيِّهِمْ وَهُوَ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَى اللَّهِ " . فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : (لَيْسَ لَكَ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ أَوْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَوْ يُعَذِّبَهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ ) . سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ بْنَ حُمَيْدٍ يَقُولُ غَلِطَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ فِي هَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 5669
It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that:
The Prophet [SAW] said: "Whoever drinks Khamr and puts it in his belly, Allah will not accept his Salah for seven (days), if he dies during them" - Muhammad bin Adam (One of the narrators) said: "he will die a Kafir. If he was too intoxicated to offer any of the obligatory" - Ibn Adam said: "or recite Qur'an, his Salah will not be accepted for 40 days, and if he dies during them," And Ibn Adam said: "He will die a Kafir."
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا وَاصِلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ شَرِبَ الْخَمْرَ فَجَعَلَهَا فِي بَطْنِهِ لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ صَلاَةً سَبْعًا إِنْ مَاتَ فِيهَا " . وَقَالَ ابْنُ آدَمَ " فِيهِنَّ مَاتَ كَافِرًا فَإِنْ أَذْهَبَتْ عَقْلَهُ عَنْ شَىْءٍ مِنَ الْفَرَائِضِ " . وَقَالَ ابْنُ آدَمَ " الْقُرْآنِ لَمْ تُقْبَلْ لَهُ صَلاَةٌ أَرْبَعِينَ يَوْمًا إِنْ مَاتَ فِيهَا " . وَقَالَ ابْنُ آدَمَ " فِيهِنَّ مَاتَ كَافِرًا " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3635
It was narrated from Muhammad bin Sa'd, from his father Sa'd bin Malik, that the Prophet came to him when he was sick and he said:
"I do not have any children apart from one daughter. Shall I bequeath all my wealth?" The Prophet said: "No." He said: "Shall I bequeath half of it?" The Prophet said: "No." He said: "Shall I bequeath one-third of it?" He said: "One-third, and one-third is much or large."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَاءَهُ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي وَلَدٌ إِلاَّ ابْنَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَأُوصِي بِمَالِي كُلِّهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ ". قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِنِصْفِهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ ". قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِثُلُثِهِ قَالَ " الثُّلُثَ وَالثُّلُثُ كَثِيرٌ ".

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3869
It was narrated that Rafi' bin Khadij said:
"The Prophet passed by the land of a man from among the Ansar who he knew was in need and said: 'Whose is this land?' He said: 'So and so's; he has given it to us in return for rent.' He said: 'Why did he not give it to his brother?'" Rafi' came to the Ansar and said: "The Messenger of Allah has forbidden something for you which was beneficial, but obedience to the command of the Messenger of Allah is more beneficial for you."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُهَاجِرٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ، قَالَ مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى أَرْضِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ قَدْ عَرَفَ أَنَّهُ مُحْتَاجٌ فَقَالَ " لِمَنْ هَذِهِ الأَرْضُ ". قَالَ لِفُلاَنٍ أَعْطَانِيهَا بِالأَجْرِ. فَقَالَ " لَوْ مَنَحَهَا أَخَاهُ ". فَأَتَى رَافِعٌ الأَنْصَارَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَاكُمْ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ لَكُمْ نَافِعًا وَطَاعَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْفَعُ لَكُمْ.

It was narrated that 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) mentioned:
"The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to like to start with the right whenever he could, when purifying himself and when putting on shoes or combing his hair." (One of the narrators) Shu'bah said: Then I heard Al-Ash'ath in Wasit, saying that he liked to start with the right, and he preferred that in all his affaris. Then I heard him in Al-Kufah saying that he liked to start with the right whenever he could."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الأَشْعَثُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، - رضى الله عنها - وَذَكَرَتْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُحِبُّ التَّيَامُنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ فِي طُهُورِهِ وَنَعْلِهِ وَتَرَجُّلِهِ . قَالَ شُعْبَةُ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُ الأَشْعَثَ بِوَاسِطٍ يَقُولُ يُحِبُّ التَّيَامُنَ فَذَكَرَ شَأْنَهُ كُلَّهُ ثُمَّ سَمِعْتُهُ بِالْكُوفَةِ يَقُولُ يُحِبُّ التَّيَامُنَ مَا اسْتَطَاعَ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 131
It was narrated from 'Amr bin 'Amir that Anas mentioned:
"The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was brought a small vessel (of water) and he performed Wudu'." I said: "Did the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) perform Wudu' for every prayer?" He said: "Yes." He said: "What about you?" He said: "We used to pray all the prayers so long as we did not commit Hadath." He said: "And we used to pray all the prayers with (one) Wudu'."
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّهُ ذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُتِيَ بِإِنَاءٍ صَغِيرٍ فَتَوَضَّأَ . قُلْتُ أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَوَضَّأُ لِكُلِّ صَلاَةٍ قَالَ نَعَمْ . قَالَ فَأَنْتُمْ قَالَ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ مَا لَمْ نُحْدِثْ قَالَ وَقَدْ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 716
It was narrated that Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab said:
"Umar passed by Hassan bin Thabit while he was reciting poetry in the Masjid, and glared at him. He said: 'I recited poetry when there was someone better than you in the Masjid.' Then he turned to Abu Hurairah and said: 'Did you not hear the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) when he said: "Answer back on my behalf. O Allah, help him with the Holy Spirit!'" He said: 'Yes, by Allah.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ مَرَّ عُمَرُ بِحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَهُوَ يُنْشِدُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلَحَظَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَنْشَدْتُ وَفِيهِ مَنْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِنْكَ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ إِلَى أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ أَسَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" أَجِبْ عَنِّي اللَّهُمَّ أَيِّدْهُ بِرُوحِ الْقُدُسِ " . قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3140
It was narrated that Abu 'Umamah Al-Bahili said:
"A man came to the Prophet (PBUH) and said: 'What do you think of a man who fights seeking reward and fame - what will he have?' The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: 'He will not have anything.' He repeated it three times, and the Prophet (PBUH) said to him: 'He will not have anything.' Then he said: 'Allah does not accept any deed, except that which is purely for Him, and seeking His Face.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ هِلاَلٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حِمْيَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ شَدَّادٍ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ رَجُلاً غَزَا يَلْتَمِسُ الأَجْرَ وَالذِّكْرَ مَا لَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ شَىْءَ لَهُ " . فَأَعَادَهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ يَقُولُ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ شَىْءَ لَهُ " . ثُمَّ قَالَ " إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَقْبَلُ مِنَ الْعَمَلِ إِلاَّ مَا كَانَ لَهُ خَالِصًا وَابْتُغِيَ بِهِ وَجْهُهُ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 512
Narrated Abdullah ibn Zayd:
The Prophet (saws) intended to do many things for calling (the people) to prayer, but he did not do any of them. Then Abdullah ibn Zayd was taught in a dream how to pronounce the call to prayer. He came to the Prophet (saws) and informed him. He said: Teach it to Bilal. He then taught him, and Bilal made a call to prayer. Abdullah said: I saw it in a dream and I wished to pronounce it, but he (the Prophet) said: You should pronounce iqamah.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ أَرَادَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي الأَذَانِ أَشْيَاءَ لَمْ يَصْنَعْ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا قَالَ فَأُرِيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الأَذَانَ فِي الْمَنَامِ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ " أَلْقِهِ عَلَى بِلاَلٍ " . فَأَلْقَاهُ عَلَيْهِ فَأَذَّنَ بِلاَلٌ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنَا رَأَيْتُهُ وَأَنَا كُنْتُ أُرِيدُهُ قَالَ " فَأَقِمْ أَنْتَ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1141
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
The Prophet (saws) stood on the day of the breaking of the fast ('Id) and offered prayer. He began the prayer before the sermon. He then addressed the people. When the Prophet (saws) finished the sermon, he descended (from the pulpit) and went to women. He gave them an exhortation while he was leaning on the hand of Bilal. Bilal was spreading his garment in which women were putting alms; some women put their rings and others other things.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَامَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ فَصَلَّى فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلاَةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ ثُمَّ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَزَلَ فَأَتَى النِّسَاءَ فَذَكَّرَهُنَّ وَهُوَ يَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَى يَدِ بِلاَلٍ وَبِلاَلٌ بَاسِطٌ ثَوْبَهُ تُلْقِي فِيهِ النِّسَاءُ الصَّدَقَةَ قَالَ تُلْقِي الْمَرْأَةُ فَتَخَهَا وَيُلْقِينَ وَيُلْقِينَ وَقَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ فَتَخَتَهَا .

Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) bought a camel from me for two 'uqiyas and a dirham or two dirhams. As he reached Sirar (a village near Medina), he commanded a cow to be slaughtered and it was slaughtered, and they ate of that, and as he (the Holy Prophet) reached Medina he ordered me to go to the mosque and offer two rak'ahs of prayer, and he measured for me the price of the camel and even made an excess payment to me.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَارِبٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ اشْتَرَى مِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعِيرًا بِوُقِيَّتَيْنِ وَدِرْهَمٍ أَوْ دِرْهَمَيْنِ - قَاَلَ - فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ صِرَارًا أَمَرَ بِبَقَرَةٍ فَذُبِحَتْ فَأَكَلُوا مِنْهَا فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ أَمَرَنِي أَنْ آتِيَ الْمَسْجِدَ فَأُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَوَزَنَ لِي ثَمَنَ الْبَعِيرِ فَأَرْجَحَ لِي .

Aishah, the Mother of the Believers, narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah came to me saying, 'Do you have anything for breakfast?' I said: 'No.' Then he said: 'I am fasting.'" She said: "One day he came to me and I said: 'O Messenger of Allah; I have received a gift for us.' He said: 'What is it?'" She said: "I said 'Hais' He said: 'I began the day fasting'" She said: "Then he ate."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ السَّرِيِّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْتِينِي فَيَقُولُ " أَعِنْدَكِ غَدَاءٌ " . فَأَقُولُ لاَ . فَيَقُولُ " إِنِّي صَائِمٌ " . قَالَتْ فَأَتَانِي يَوْمًا فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ قَدْ أُهْدِيَتْ لَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ . قَالَ " وَمَا هِيَ " . قَالَتْ قُلْتُ حَيْسٌ . قَالَ " أَمَا إِنِّي قَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ صَائِمًا " . قَالَتْ ثُمَّ أَكَلَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Thabit narrated from Anas, that:
The Prophet entered upon a young man while he was dying. So he said: "How do you feel?" He said: "By Allah! O Messenger of Allah! Indeed I hope in Allah and I fear from my sins." So the Messenger of Allah said: "These two will not be gathered in a worshipper's heart at a time such as this, except that Allah will grant him what he hopes and make him safe from what he fears."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، وَهَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَزَّازُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ، هُوَ ابْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَخَلَ عَلَى شَابٍّ وَهُوَ فِي الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ " كَيْفَ تَجِدُكَ " . قَالَ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَإِنِّي أَخَافُ ذُنُوبِي . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَجْتَمِعَانِ فِي قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ فِي مِثْلِ هَذَا الْمَوْطِنِ إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ مَا يَرْجُو وَآمَنَهُ مِمَّا يَخَافُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَقَدْ رَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُرْسَلاً .

'Abdullah bin Mas'ud narrated "The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) drew a square line (on the ground) forus, and in the middle of the (square) line he drew another line, and he drew another line going out of the (square) line.Around the one that was in the middle, he drew (various) lines. Then he said:
'This is the son of Adam, and this is his life-span encircling him, and this one in the middle in the person, and these lines are his obstacles, if he escapes this one, this one ensnares him, and the line extending outside is his hope.'"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي يَعْلَى، عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ خَطَّ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَطًّا مُرَبَّعًا وَخَطَّ فِي وَسَطِ الْخَطِّ خَطًّا وَخَطَّ خَارِجًا مِنَ الْخَطِّ خَطًّا وَحَوْلَ الَّذِي فِي الْوَسَطِ خُطُوطًا فَقَالَ
" هَذَا ابْنُ آدَمَ وَهَذَا أَجَلُهُ مُحِيطٌ بِهِ وَهَذَا الَّذِي فِي الْوَسَطِ الإِنْسَانُ وَهَذِهِ الْخُطُوطُ عُرُوضُهُ إِنْ نَجَا مِنْ هَذَا يَنْهَشُهُ هَذَا وَالْخَطُّ الْخَارِجُ الأَمَلُ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Muharib bin Dithar:
Jabir bin `Abdullah said, "When Allah's Apostle arrived at Medina, he slaughtered a camel or a cow." Jabir added, "The Prophet bought a camel from me for two Uqiyas (of gold) and one or two Dirhams. When he reached Sirar, he ordered that a cow be slaughtered and they ate its meat. When he arrived at Medina, he ordered me to go to the Mosque and offer two rak`at, and weighed (and gave) me the price of the camel."

Narrated `Abdullah:
I asked the Prophet, "What is the greatest sin in the Sight of Allah?" He said, "That you set up a rival unto Allah though He Alone created you." I said, "That is indeed a great sin." Then asked, "What is next?" He said, "To kill your son lest he should share your food with you." I asked, "What is next?" He said, "To commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor."

Abu al-Malih reported on the authority of a man :
I was riding on a mount behind the prophet (May peace be upon him). It stumbled. Thereupon I said: May the devil perish! He said: do not say; may the devil perish! For you say that, he will swell so much so that he will be like a house, and say: by my power. But say: in the name of Allah; for when you say that, he will diminish so much so that he will be like a fly.
حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ - عَنْ خَالِدٍ، - يَعْنِي الْحَذَّاءَ - عَنْ أَبِي تَمِيمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ رَدِيفَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَعَثَرَتْ دَابَّتُهُ فَقُلْتُ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ . فَقَالَ
" لاَ تَقُلْ تَعِسَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ تَعَاظَمَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مِثْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيَقُولَ بِقُوَّتِي وَلَكِنْ قُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّكَ إِذَا قُلْتَ ذَلِكَ تَصَاغَرَ حَتَّى يَكُونَ مِثْلَ الذُّبَابِ " .

‘A’ishah said :
Every night when he prophet (May peace be upon him) went to his bed, he joined his hands and breathed into them, reciting into them:”say: he is Allah, One” and say ; I seek refuge in the Lord of the dawn and Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of men. Then he would wipe as much of his body as he could with his hands, beginning with his head, his face and the front of his body, doing that three times.
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ، - يَعْنِيَانِ ابْنَ فَضَالَةَ - عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ جَمَعَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ نَفَثَ فِيهِمَا وَقَرَأَ فِيهِمَا { قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ } وَ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ } وَ { قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ } ثُمَّ يَمْسَحُ بِهِمَا مَا اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ يَبْدَأُ بِهِمَا عَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَوَجْهِهِ وَمَا أَقْبَلَ مِنْ جَسَدِهِ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4271
Khalid b. Dihqan said:
I asked Yahya b. Yahya al-Ghassani about the word i'tabata bi qatlihi spoken by him (as mentioned in the previous tradition). He said: It means those people who fight during the period of commotion (fitnah), and one of them kills (the other people) presuming that he is in the right, so he does not beg pardon of Allah of that (sin).
Abu Dawud said: And he said: The word fa'tabata means "he shed blood profusely"
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُبَارَكٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، أَوْ غَيْرُهُ قَالَ قَالَ خَالِدُ بْنُ دِهْقَانَ سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ يَحْيَى الْغَسَّانِيَّ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ
" اعْتَبَطَ بِقَتْلِهِ " . قَالَ الَّذِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي الْفِتْنَةِ فَيَقْتُلُ أَحَدُهُمْ فَيَرَى أَنَّهُ عَلَى هُدًى لاَ يَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ - يَعْنِي - مِنْ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ فَاعْتَبَطَ يَصُبُّ دَمَهُ صَبًّا .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1923
Hisham bin ‘Urwah reported on the authority of his father Usamah bin Zaid was asked when I was sitting along with him, how did the Apostle of Allaah(saws) travel during the Farewell Pilgrimage when he proceeded from ‘Arafah to Al Muzdalifah? He replied he was travelling at a quick pace and when he found an opening he urged on his Camel. Hisham said “Nass(running or urging on the Camel) is above ‘anaq(going at a quick pace).”
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ سُئِلَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ، كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَسِيرُ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ حِينَ دَفَعَ قَالَ كَانَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ . قَالَ هِشَامٌ النَّصُّ فَوْقَ الْعَنَقِ .

A Jewess brought a poisoned sheep to the Messenger of Allah (saws), and he ate of it. She was then brought to the Messenger of Allah (saws) who asked her about it. She said: I intended to kill you. He said: Allah will not give you control over it ; or he said : over me. They (the Companions) said: Should we not kill her ? He said: No. He (Anas) said: I always found it in the uvula of the Messenger of Allah (saws)
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، يَهُودِيَّةً أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِشَاةٍ مَسْمُومَةٍ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهَا فَجِيءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَهَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ أَرَدْتُ لأَقْتُلَكَ . فَقَالَ " مَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُسَلِّطَكِ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " . أَوْ قَالَ " عَلَىَّ " . قَالَ فَقَالُوا أَلاَ نَقْتُلُهَا قَالَ " لاَ " . فَمَا زِلْتُ أَعْرِفُهَا فِي لَهَوَاتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

'Aishah said; When the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) intended to take a bath because of sexual defilement, he would begin with his hands and wash them. Then he would wash the joints of his limbs and pour water upon him when he cleansed both his (hands), he would rub them on the wall (to make them perfectly clean with the dust). Then he would perform ablution and pour water over his head.

They(the people) said “Yes”. He said “I am inclined to invoke a curse on him which will enter his grave with him. How can he make it (the child) an heir when it is not lawful for him? How can he take it into his service when that is not lawful for him?”

'Imran b. Husain said:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) was on his journey. They (the people) slept abandoning the Fajr prayer. They awoke by the heat of the sun. Then they travelled a little until the sun rose high. He (the Prophet) commanded the mu'adhdhin (one who called for prayer) to call for prayer. He then offered two rak'ahs of prayer (sunnah prayer) before the (obligatory) fajr prayer. Then he (the mu'adhdhin) announced for saying the prayer in congregation (i.e. he uttered iqamah). Then he led them in the morning prayer.

I came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) when he was at Mina, or at Arafat. He was surrounded by the people. When the bedouins came and saw his face, they would say: This is a blessed face. He said: He (the Prophet) appointed Dhat Irq as the place of putting on ihram for the people of Iraq.

A man asked the Prophet (saws) whether one who was fasting could embrace (his wife) and he gave him permission; but when another man came to him, and asked him, he forbade him. The one to whom he gave permission was an old man and the one whom he forbade was a youth.

‘A’isha said that God’s Messenger used to pray sitting, and would recite the Qur’an while sitting; then when about thirty or forty verses of his recitation remained he stood up and recited while standing. Then he bowed, then he prostrated himself, and after that he did the same kind of thing in the second rak'a.
Muslim transmitted it.

Buhaisa quoted her father as saying that he asked God’s messenger what was the thing which it is unlawful to refuse and was told that it was water.
He repeated the question to God’s Prophet and was told that it was salt.
When he asked God’s Prophet a third time he received the reply, “To do good is better for you.”

وَعَنْ بُهَيْسَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ: يَا رَسُول الله مَا لشَيْء الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ: «الْمَاءُ» . قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّيْءُ الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ: «الْمِلْحُ» . قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ الله مَا لاشيء الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ؟ قَالَ: «أَنْ تَفْعَلَ الْخَيْر خير لَك» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

great.'"

Narrated Abu Huraira (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “When one of you wakes up from his sleep, he must not put his hand in a utensil till he washed it three times, for he does not know where his hand was (while he slept)”.

وَعَنْهُ: { إِذَا اِسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسُ يَدَهُ فِي اَلْإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدَهُ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَهَذَا لَفْظُ مُسْلِم ٍ 1 .

Narrated 'Aishah (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) swore that he would stay away from his wives for a period. He made something unlawful (for himself) (i.e. something not in itself unlawful). So, he made the lawful unlawful, and he made atonement for breaking an oath.

Mishkat al-Masabih 345
Abu Musa said:
One day when I was with the Prophet he wanted to pass water, so he went to some soft ground at the foot of a wall and did it, after which he said, "When any of you wishes to pass water, he should look for [a place like this] to do it in.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَبُولَ فَأَتَى دَمِثًا فِي أَصْلِ جِدَارٍ فَبَال ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَبُولَ فليرتد لبوله» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 3231
She said that during the illness of which God’s Messenger died he was asking, “Where do I go tomorrow? Where do I go tomorrow?” That was on ‘A’isha’s day. His wives therefore permitted him to go where he wished, and he stayed in ‘A’isha’s house till he died there.
Bukhari transmitted it.
وَعَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَسْأَلُ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ: «أَيْنَ أَنَا غَدًا؟» يُرِيدُ يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ أَزْوَاجُهُ يَكُونُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ فَكَانَ فِي بَيْتِ عَائِشَةَ حَتَّى مَاتَ عِنْدَهَا. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ

Sahih Muslim 458 b
Simak asked Jabir b. Samura about the prayer of the Apostle (may peace be upon him). He said:
He (the Holy Prophet) shortened the prayer and he did not pray like these people then, and he informed me that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to recite" Qaf. By the (Glorious) Qur'an," and a passage of similar length.
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ رَافِعٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ كَانَ يُخَفِّفُ الصَّلاَةَ وَلاَ يُصَلِّي صَلاَةَ هَؤُلاَءِ . قَالَ وَأَنْبَأَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْفَجْرِ بـ { ق وَالْقُرْآنِ} وَنَحْوِهَا .

Abu Qatada reported that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was in a journey he got down for rest at night, and he used to lie down on his right side, and when he lay down for rest before the dawn, he used to stretch his forearm and place his head over his palm.

Waki' bin Hudus narrated that his paternal uncle Abu Razin said:
"I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, where was our Lord before He created His creation?' He said: He was above the clouds, below which was air, and above which was air and water. Then He created His Throne above the water.'"

Sunan Ibn Majah 2392
It was narrated from 'Umar, meaning, from his father, his grandfather 'Umar, that :
he gave a horse in charity at the time of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), then he saw its owner selling it for a low price. He went to the Prophet (SAW) and asked him about that, and he said: “Do not buy what you gave in charity.”
حَدَّثَنَا تَمِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ يَعْنِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ تَصَدَّقَ بِفَرَسٍ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَبْصَرَ صَاحِبَهَا يَبِيعُهَا بِكَسْرٍ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ
" لاَ تَبْتَعْ صَدَقَتَكَ " .

narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“Jibril (as) promised the
Messenger
of Allah (saw) that he would come to him at a certain hour,

was late. The Prophet (saw) went out and there was Jibril
standing at
the door. He said: ‘What kept you from entering?’ He said:
‘There
is a dog in the house, and we do not enter a house in which
there is
a dog or an image.’”

" مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ " . قَالَ إِنَّ فِي الْبَيْتِ كَلْبًا وَإِنَّا لاَ نَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلاَ صُورَةٌ .

It was
narrated from Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman that he heard the
Messenger of
Allah (saw) say when he bowed:
“Subhana Rabbiyal-‘Azim
(Glory is
to my Lord, the Most Great)” three times, and when he
prostrated he
said: “Subhana Rabbiyal-A’la (Glory is to my Lord the
Most High)”
three times.

It was
narrated that ‘Ali bin Abu Talib said that when he washed the
Messenger of Allah (SAW) he looked for what which is usually looked
for on the deceased (i.e., dirt), and he found none. He said:
“May
my
father be sacrificed for you, you are pure; you were pure in life
and
you are pure in death.”
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خِذَامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا غَسَّلَ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ذَهَبَ يَلْتَمِسُ مِنْهُ مَا يَلْتَمِسُ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ فَلَمْ يَجِدْهُ . فَقَالَ بِأَبِي الطَّيِّبُ طِبْتَ حَيًّا وَطِبْتَ مَيِّتًا .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1529
It was
narrated from ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amir bin Rabi’ah, from his
father,
that a black woman died and the Prophet (SAW) was not told
about
that. Then he was informed of it, and he said:
“Why did you not
tell me?” Then he said to his Companions: “Line up in rows to
pray for
her,” and he offered the funeral prayer for her.
حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً، سَوْدَاءَ مَاتَتْ و لَمْ يُؤْذَنْ بِهَا النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ فَأُخْبِرَ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ " هَلاَّ آذَنْتُمُونِي بِهَا " . ثُمَّ قَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ " صُفُّوا عَلَيْهَا " . فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا .

Musnad Ahmad 553
It was narrated from Humran bin Aban that He saw `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) do wudoo` one day; he rinsed his mouth and his nose, and he washed his face three times... and he narrated a hadeeth from the Prophet (ﷺ) similar to the hadeeth of Ibn Ja`far from Sa’eed.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ تَوَضَّأَ يَوْمًا فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَحَدَّثَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ.

It was narrated from ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) that The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
`No one (truly) believes until he believes in four things; until he believes that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah Who sent me with the truth, and until he believes in the resurrection after death, and until he believes in the divine will and decree.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ عَبْدٌ حَتَّى يُؤْمِنَ بِأَرْبَعٍ حَتَّى يَشْهَدَ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بَعَثَنِي بِالْحَقِّ وَحَتَّى يُؤْمِنَ بِالْبَعْثِ بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَحَتَّى يُؤْمِنَ بِالْقَدَرِ.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 32
Abdullah bin Zaid narrated that:
"Allah's Messenger wiped over his head with his hands, going over the front with them and the rear. He began with the front of his head until they went to the nape of his neck. Then he brought them back again to the place where he began. Then he washed his feet."

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Allah's Apostle visited a household among the Ansars, and he took a meal with them. When he intended to leave, he asked for a place in that house for him, to pray so a mat sprinkled with water was put and he offered prayer over it, and invoked for Allah's Blessing upon them (his hosts).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلاَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم زَارَ أَهْلَ بَيْتٍ فِي الأَنْصَارِ فَطَعِمَ عِنْدَهُمْ طَعَامًا، فَلَمَّا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ أَمَرَ بِمَكَانٍ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ، فَنُضِحَ لَهُ عَلَى بِسَاطٍ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَدَعَا لَهُمْ.

Narrated Hudhaifa:
From among the people, Ibn Um `Abd greatly resembled Allah's Apostles in solemn gate and good appearance of piety and in calmness and sobriety from the time he goes out of his house till he returns to it. But we do not know how he behaves with his family when he is alone with them.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَكُمُ الأَعْمَشُ، سَمِعْتُ شَقِيقًا، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُذَيْفَةَ، يَقُولُ إِنَّ أَشْبَهَ النَّاسِ دَلاًّ وَسَمْتًا وَهَدْيًا بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَبْنُ أُمِّ عَبْدٍ، مِنْ حِينَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ إِلَى أَنْ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْهِ، لاَ نَدْرِي مَا يَصْنَعُ فِي أَهْلِهِ إِذَا خَلاَ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 880
It was narrated from Malik bin Al-Huwairith- who was one of the companions of the Prophet (SAW)- that:
When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) prayed he would raise his hands-when he said the Takbir- until they were parallel to his ears, and when he wanted to bow and when he raised his head from bowing.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَصْرَ بْنَ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، وَكَانَ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ يُكَبِّرُ حِيَالَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1258
It was narrated that Ibrahim said:
"Alqamah prayed five (rak'ahs) and when he said the taslim, Ibrahim bin Suwaid said : 'O Abu Shibl, you prayed five!' He said: 'Is that true, O odd-eyed one?' Then he prostrated two prostrations of forgetfulness, then he said: 'This is what the Messenger of Allah (SAW) did.'"

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
Whenever the Prophet (saws) started on a journey before noon, he used to delay the Zuhr prayers till the time for the 'Asr prayer and then he would dismount and offer them together; and whenever the sun declined before he started on a journey he used to offer the Zuhr prayers and then ride (for journey).
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَزِيغَ الشَّمْسُ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا، فَإِنْ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Said ibn al- Musayyab said, "If someone dedicates an animal voluntarily and then it is injured and he kills it and gives everyone a free hand in eating it, he owes nothing. If, however, he eats some of it himself, or tells certain other people to eat it, then he owes compensation."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ سَاقَ بَدَنَةً تَطَوُّعًا فَعَطِبَتْ فَنَحَرَهَا ثُمَّ خَلَّى بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ النَّاسِ يَأْكُلُونَهَا فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْهِ شَىْءٌ وَإِنْ أَكَلَ مِنْهَا أَوْ أَمَرَ مَنْ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا غَرِمَهَا .

Narrated `Abdullah:
We used to greet the Prophet while he was praying and he used to answer our greetings. When we returned from An-Najashi (the ruler of Ethiopia), we greeted him, but he did not answer us (during the prayer) and (after finishing the prayer) he said, "In the prayer one is occupied (with a more serious matter)."

"When one of you dies, he is shown his place morning and evening. If he is one of the people of Paradise then he is one of the people of Paradise, and if he is one of the people of Hell. It is said: 'This is your place, until Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, raises you up on the Day of Resurrection."'

The Prophet [SAW] said: "The adulterer is not a believer at the moment when he is committing adultery, and the thief is not a believer at the moment when he is stealing, and the wine drinker is not a believer at the moment when he is drinking wine, and the robber is not a believer at the moment when he is robbing and taking something valuable by force while the Muslims are looking at it.'"

" لاَ يَزْنِي الزَّانِي حِينَ يَزْنِي وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَسْرِقُ السَّارِقُ حِينَ يَسْرِقُ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَشْرَبُ الْخَمْرَ حِينَ يَشْرَبُهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ وَلاَ يَنْتَهِبُ نُهْبَةً ذَاتَ شَرَفٍ يَرْفَعُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَبْصَارَهُمْ وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 642
It was narrated from Anas that someone asked the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) about the time of Subh. The Messenger of Allah (S.A.W) commanded Bilal to call the Adhan when dawn broke. Then the next day he delayed Fajr until it was very light, then he told him to call the Adhan and he prayed. Then he said:
"This is the time for the prayer."

" هَذَا وَقْتُ الصَّلاَةِ " .

"Are you weeping when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is sitting here?" He said: "Let them weep so long as he is among them, but if he dies no one should weep for him."

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Three will not be spoken to by Allah on the Day of Judgement, nor will they be purified, and for them is a painful torment: A man that gave a pledge to an Imam, and if he gives to him he fulfills it, and if he does not give to him he does not fulfill not fulfill it."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" ثَلاَثَةٌ لاَ يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلاَ يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ رَجُلٌ بَايَعَ إِمَامًا فَإِنْ أَعْطَاهُ وَفَى لَهُ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطِهِ لَمْ يَفِ لَهُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَعَلَى ذَلِكَ الْأَمْرُ بِلَا اخْتِلَافٍ.

Narrated 'Aishah:
We were seated in our house in the noonday heat. Someone said to Abu Bakr: Here is the Messenger of Allah (saws) coming to us shading his head at the hour when he would not generally come. The Messenger of Allah (saws) then came; he asked for permission and he gave him permission and he entered.

Abu Qatadah said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was leading the people in prayer with Umamah daughter of Zainab daughter of the Messenger of Allah(may peace be upon him) (in his lap). When he prostrated, he put her down and when he got up(after prostration) he lifted her up.

Umm al-Fadl, daughter of al-Harith, said:
On the day of 'Arafah some people near her argued whether the Messenger of Allah (saws) was fasting, some saying that he was, and others saying that he was not. I, therefore, sent him a cup of milk while he was observing the halt at 'Arafah on his camel, and he drank it.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ، عَنْ عُمَيْرٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ، أَنَّ نَاسًا، تَمَارَوْا عِنْدَهَا يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ هُوَ صَائِمٌ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ لَيْسَ بِصَائِمٍ . فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحِ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ وَاقِفٌ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَ .

The Prophet (saws) said: If anyone swears an oath and makes an exception, he may fulfil it if he wishes and break it if he wishes without any accountability for breaking.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ayyub and he made an addition in the hadith narrated by Ibn Ulayya in which he said:
Ibn Umar abandoned it afterwards and he did not rent it (the land).

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى الْجُمُعَةَ انْصَرَفَ فَصَلَّى سَجْدَتَيْنِ فِي بَيْتِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1201
Aishah narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah swore Ila from his wives, and he made something unlawful and he made himself unlawful what was lawful, and he made atonement for his oath."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَزَعَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ، أَنْبَأَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ آلَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ نِسَائِهِ وَحَرَّمَ فَجَعَلَ الْحَرَامَ حَلاَلاً وَجَعَلَ فِي الْيَمِينِ كَفَّارَةً . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ وَأَبِي مُوسَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ رَوَاهُ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ وَغَيْرُهُ عَنْ دَاوُدَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . مُرْسَلاً . وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مَسْلَمَةَ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ . وَالإِيلاَءُ هُوَ أَنْ يَحْلِفَ الرَّجُلُ أَنْ لاَ يَقْرُبَ امْرَأَتَهُ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ فَأَكْثَرَ . وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِيهِ إِذَا مَضَتْ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِذَا مَضَتْ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ يُوقَفُ فَإِمَّا أَنْ يَفِيءَ وَإِمَّا أَنْ يُطَلِّقَ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِذَا مَضَتْ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ فَهِيَ تَطْلِيقَةٌ بَائِنَةٌ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2254
It was narrated from Hudhaifah, that the Messenger of Allah(s.a.w) said:
"It is not for the believer to humiliate himself." They said: "How does he humiliate himself?" He said: "By taking on a trial which he can not bear."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ جُنْدُبٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يُذِلَّ نَفْسَهُ " . قَالُوا وَكَيْفَ يُذِلُّ نَفْسَهُ . قَالَ " يَتَعَرَّضُ مِنَ الْبَلاَءِ لِمَا لاَ يُطِيقُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 2860
Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (saws) said: He said: He who sticks to a king is perverted. This version adds: The nearer a servant (of Allah) goes to a king, the farther he keeps away from Allah.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ النَّخَعِيُّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ شَيْخٍ، مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَعْنَى مُسَدَّدٍ قَالَ " وَمَنْ لَزِمَ السُّلْطَانَ افْتُتِنَ " . زَادَ " وَمَا ازْدَادَ عَبْدٌ مِنَ السُّلْطَانِ دُنُوًّا إِلاَّ ازْدَادَ مِنَ اللَّهِ بُعْدًا " .
