Sahih Muslim 274 m
This hadith is narrated by Hamza b. Mughira by another chain of trans- mitters (but with the addition of these words):
I made up my mind to hold Abd al-Rahman b. 'Auf back, but the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Leave him."

Jabir b. Samura reported:
The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to recite in the noon prayer:" By the night when it envelopes" (xcii.), and in the afternoon like this, but he prolonged the morning prayer as compared to that (noon and afternoon prayers).

Yazid reported:
Salama sought to say prayer near the pillar which was by that place where copies of the Qur'an were kept. I said to him: Abu Muslim. I see you striving to offer your prayer by this pillar. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) seeking to pray by its side.
حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مَكِّيٌّ، قَالَ يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا قَالَ كَانَ سَلَمَةُ يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ الَّتِي عِنْدَ الْمُصْحَفِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ يَا أَبَا مُسْلِمٍ أَرَاكَ تَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ الأُسْطُوَانَةِ . قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَتَحَرَّى الصَّلاَةَ عِنْدَهَا .

Mu'aiqib quoted the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) mentioning the removal of pebbles from the ground where he prostrated himself. He (the Prophet) said:
It you must do so, do it only once.

The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said the afternoon" prayer as the sun shone in my apartment, and the afternoon shadow did not extend further. Abu Bakr said: The afternoon shadow did not appear to extend further.

'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), reported:
The prayer was prescribed as two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs both in journey and at the place of residence. The prayer while travelling remained as it was (originally prescribed), but an addition was made in the prayer (observed) at the place of residence.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) as saying:
He who offered prayer over the dead, but did not follow the bier, for him is the reward of one qirat, and he who followed it, for him is the reward of two qirats. It was asked what the qirats were. He said: The smaller amongst the two is equivalent to Uhud.
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنِي سُهَيْلٌ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَى جَنَازَةٍ وَلَمْ يَتْبَعْهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ فَإِنْ تَبِعَهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ " . قِيلَ وَمَا الْقِيرَاطَانِ قَالَ " أَصْغَرُهُمَا مِثْلُ أُحُدٍ " .

The month is thus and thus and thus (i. e. pointing with his fingers thrice), and he held back his thumb at the third time (in order to show that it can also consist of twenty-nine days).

narrated from Abu ‘Umar, the freed slave of Asma’, from Asma’
bint Abi Bakr, that she brought out a cloak edged with brocade and
said:
“The Prophet (saw) used to wear this when he met the enemy.”

stopped reciting the Talbiyah.’”

“There is no harm in that.”

It was
narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet (saw) said:
“One
prayer
in this mosque of mine is better than one thousand prayers in

other mosque except the Sacred Mosque.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1531
It was
narrated from Anas that the Prophet (SAW) offered the funeral
prayer
at a grave after the burial.

It was
narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“A funeral has passed by the
Prophet (SAW) and he stood up and said: ‘Stand up out of
recognition
of the enormity of death.’”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1595
It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“A Jewish woman had died, and the
Prophet (SAW) heard the weeping for her. He said: ‘Her family is
weeping for her, and she is being punished in her grave.’”
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ إِنَّمَا كَانَتْ يَهُودِيَّةٌ مَاتَتْ. فَسَمِعَهُمُ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا قَالَ:
" فَإِنَّ أَهْلَهَا يَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنَّهَا تُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهَا " .

narrated from ‘Abdullah that the Prophet (saw) said:
“Whoever
sees me in a dream, has seen me in reality, for Satan cannot appear
in
my form.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 3938
It was narrated that Tha’labah bin Hakam said:
“We came across
some
of the enemy’s sheep and plundered them, and set up our
cooking pots.
The Prophet (saw) passed by the pots and ordered that
they be
overturned, then he said: ‘Plunder is not permissible.’”

" إِنَّ النُّهْبَةَ لاَ تَحِلُّ " .

It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that they suffered from hunger and
they
were seven. He said:
“Then the Prophet (saw) gave me seven dates,
one date for each man.”

It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (saw) said:
“If
you
were to commit sin until your sins reach the heaven, then you were
to
repent, your repentance would be accepted.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 4272
It was
narrated from Jabir that the Prophet (saw) said:
“When the
deceased
enters the grave, the sun is made to appear as if it is
setting. He
sits up, wipes his eyes and says: ‘Let me pray.’”

" إِذَا أُدْخِلَ الْمَيِّتُ الْقَبْرَ مُثِّلَتِ الشَّمْسُ لَهُ عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا فَيَجْلِسُ يَمْسَحُ عَيْنَيْهِ وَيَقُولُ : دَعُونِي أُصَلِّي " .

Abdur-Razzaq said:
The people of Makkah say: Ibn Juraij learned the prayer from 'Ata' and `Ata` learned it from Ibn az-Zubair and Ibn az-Zubair learned it from Abu Bakr and Abu Bakr learned it from the Prophet (ﷺ). I have never seen anyone who prays better than Ibn Juraij.
This is a report praising Ibn Juraij and is not a hadeeth; this was stated by Ahmad Shakir
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ يَقُولُونَ أَخَذَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ الصَّلَاةَ مِنْ عَطَاءٍ وَأَخَذَهَا عَطَاءٌ مِنْ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَأَخَذَهَا ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ مِنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَأَخَذَهَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مِنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَحْسَنَ صَلَاةً مِنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ.

from miserliness, cowardice, the tribulations of the heart (grudges, envy, bad attitude and bad beliefs), the torment of the grave and old age.

`The deceased is tormented in his grave because of being wailed over.` Al-Hajjaj said: `...because of the wailing over him.`
