That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Whoever eats from these - the first time, he said garlic, then he said - garlic, onion, and leek, then let him not approach our Masjid."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Umar, Abu Ayyub, Abu Hurairah, Abu Sa'eed, Jabir bin Samurah, Qurrah [bin Iyas Al-Muzani] and Ibn 'Umar.

That on the day of Conquest of Makkah, the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "There is no Hijrah after the conquest, there is only Jihad and intention, and when you are called to go forth (for battle), then go."

[He said:] There are narrations on this topic from Abu Sa'eed, 'Abdullah bin 'Amr, and 'Abdullah bin Hubshi.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Sufyan Ath-Thawri reported it similarly from Mansur bin Al-Mu'tamir.

That the Messenger of Allah stopped in the valley that is in Dhul-Hulaifah and prayed there. (sahih)

"The Messenger of Allah forbade selling loyalty or giving it away." (Sahih)]

Narrated Anas bin Malik (rad): When the cup of the Prophet (saw) got broken, he fixed it with a silver wire at the crack [Reported by Al-Bukhari].

Ibn 'Abbas and Usamah bin Zaid (RAA) narrated, The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) kept on reciting Talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at Jamrat-ul ‘Aqabah..’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

Ibn 'Abbas (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) had himself cupped while he was in a state of Ihram, and had himself cupped while he was fasting.’’ Related by Al-Bukhari.

"He started with the front of his head, moved them (his hands) to the nape of his neck, and then returned them to the place where he started."

"If anyone makes his wife unlawful for himself - it is nothing." He said, "Indeed you have a good example in Allah's Messenger." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

If anyone buys a goat whose udder has been tied up and he returned it, he must return it with one Sa'. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The neighbor has more right (to be given preference) to the property which is near to him." [al-Bukhari reported it, and there is a story related to it].

of Ibn 'Umar (RA) (coming next), which is authenticated by Ibn Khuzaimah. al-Bukhari mentioned it as a Hadith Mu'allaq (missing links from the side of the Haditb collector) and Mawquf (saying of a companion).

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Jannah is nearer to anyone of you than your shoe-lace, and so is the (Hell) Fire".

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah excuses and grants forgiveness to a person until he attains the age of sixty years".

[Al- Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who wears silk clothes in this life shall not wear them in the Hereafter."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When the people of the Book greet you, respond with: 'Wa 'alaikum' (And upon you)".

We (womenfolk) were prohibited from accompanying a funeral procession, but we were not compelled (not to do so).

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Do not keep the fire burning in your homes when you go to bed."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Reviling a Muslim is Fusuq (disobedience of Allah) and killing him is (tantamount to) disbelief."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) performed the pilgrimage on an unsaddled camel which also carried his provisions (i.e., his Zamilah).

The Messenger of Allah said, "When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen."

I came to the Prophet (PBUH) when he was in the mosque, and he said to me, "Perform two Rak'ah prayer."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "He who misses the 'Asr Salat (deliberately), his deeds will be rendered nul and void."

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The first matter concerning which people will be judged on the Day of Resurrection will be the matter of blood."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (he used to drink in three gulps).

I served the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) Zamzam water to drink and he drank it while he was standing.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) disliked going to bed before the 'Isha' (night) prayer and indulging in conversation after it."

Usama b. Zaid rode behind the Prophet on his camel from ‘Arafa to al-Muzdalifa, then he took al-Fadl up behind him from al-Muzdalifa to Mina, and both of them said that the Prophet kept raising his voice in the talbiya till he threw pebbles at the jamra of the ‘Aqaba. Bukhari and Muslim.

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Verily, from what was learnt by the people from the speech of the earliest prophecy is: If you feel no shame, then do as you wish.” [Al-Bukhari]

One day the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) mentioned Al-Masih Dajjal (the Antichrist) in the presence of the people and said, "Verily, Allah is not one-eyed but Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal is blind in the right eye which looks like a swollen grape."

Anas said that the Prophet prayed the noon, afternoon, sunset and evening prayer, after which he had a sleep, in al-Muhassab. (The valley opening on al-Abtah between Mecca and Mina ; so called because of the pebbles in it) He then rode to the House and performed the circumambulation. Bukhari transmitted it.

to be just, to spread greetings to all people and to spend (charitably) out of the little you have. Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 1/82 as a statement of the Companion 'Ammar (RA).

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "A Muslim is the one from whose tongue and hands the Muslims are safe; and a Muhajir (Emigrant) is the one who refrains from what Allah has forbidden".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "I looked into Jannah and saw that most of its dwellers are the poor; and I looked into Hell and saw that most of its inmates were women."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not indulge in loose talk nor did he like to listen to it. He used to say, "The best of you is the best among you in conduct."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was even shier than a virgin behind her veil. When he saw something which he disliked, we could perceive it on his face.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

A man asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH): "Which act in Islam is the best?" He (PBUH) replied, "To give food, and to greet everyone, whether you know or you do not."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "A slave who worships his Rubb (Allah) well and discharges efficiently and faithfully the duties which are assigned to him by his master, will have a double reward."

[Al-Bukhari].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Read the Qur'an regularly. By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, it escapes from memory faster than a camel does from its tying ropes."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) heard a person lauding another person or praising him too much. Thereupon he said, "You killed the man," or he said, "You ruined the man."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

From Al-Hasan, from Samurah, that the Prophet (saws) said: "Upon the hand is what it took, until it is returned." Qatadah said: "Then Al-Hasan forgot, so he said: 'It is something you entrusted, he is not liable for it.' " Meaning the borrowed property.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Some of the people pf knowledge, among the Companions of the Prophet (saws) and others, followed this Hadith. They said that the possessor of the borrowed thing is liable. This is the view of Ash-Shafi'i and Ahmad. Some of the people of knowledge among the Companions and others said that the possessor of the borrowed this is not liable unless there is dispute. This is the view of Sufyan Ath-Thawri and the people of Al-Kufah, and it is the view of Ishaq.

Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri reported God’s Messenger as saying, “No prayer is to be said after the morning prayer until the sun rises, or after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets.”. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

O Malik, let your Lord put an end to us” (Al-Qur’an; 43:77). (Bukhari and Muslim.)

The Prophet (SAW) considered Shahadah az-Zur (giving false testimony) among the most serious of major sins. [al-Bukhari and Muslim reported it in a long Hadith].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade us from eating and drinking from gold and silver vessels, and from wearing or siting upon silk or brocade. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

O Muslim women, never belittle any gift you give your neighbour even if it is a hoof of a sheep".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The person who severs the bond of kinship will not enter Jannah".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to supplicate: "O Allah, make the provisions of family of Muhammad (PBUH) bare subsistence."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Do not hoard; otherwise, Allah will withhold from you."

The Prophet (PBUH) used to do the same.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "You will covet for getting a position of authority, but remember that it will be a cause of humiliation and remorse on the Day of Resurrection."

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "It is also charity to utter a good word."

It is part of a narration that has preceded in its entirety.

At the time of giving the pledge of allegiance, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) took from us an oath that we would not wail.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "People will continue to adhere to good as long as they hasten to break the Saum (fasting)."

The Prophet (PBUH) set out on Thursday for the expedition of Tabuk. He liked to set out on a journey on Thursdays.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) ordered me to kill chameleon. He also said, "It blew (fire) on Prophet Ibrahim.

I asked Anas: "Did the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) use to shake hands?'' He said: "Yes.''

[Al-Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Spitting in the mosque is a sin, and its expiation is that the spittle should be buried in earth."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Swearing produces a ready sale for a commodity, but blots out the blessing."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

(Another chain) with a similar report narrated from Ibn 'Abbas. (sahih)

Ibn Mas'ud said that the Prophet recited "By the star”(Al-Qur’an; 53) prostrating himself when doing so, as did those who were with him with the exception of an old man of Quraish who took a handful of pebbles or dust and raised it to his forehead saying. "This is enough for me.” ‘Abdallah (i.e. Ibn Mas’ud) said that he later saw him killed as an infidel. (Bukhari and Muslim.) Bukhari added in a version that he was Umayya b. Khalaf.

Ibn 'Umar (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said “Do you realize Ibn Umm ’Abd what the ruling of Allah is concerning those who rebel against the ruler in this Ummah?’ I said, ‘Allah and His Messenger know best. ‘He said, “A wounded man among them is not to be given the last stroke (that kills him), their captive is not killed, the one who runs away is not followed and their booties are not divided (among other Muslims).” Related by Al-Bazzar and al-Hakim. The latter graded it as Sahih but he was mistaken as Kawthar bin Hakim (one of the narrators) is a rejected narrator.

'Abdullah bin 'Amro bin al-'As (RAA) narrated, 'The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was asked about dated which are still hanging on the palm tree, he then said, "If a needy person eats some dates, but without taking a supply away in his garment, he is not to be blamed, but if anyone takes away any of it, he is to be fined and punished. And if anyone takes away any of it (the dates) after it has been put in the place where it is going to be dried, and it amounts to the price of a shield, he must have his hand cut off." Related by Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

When prices were high in al-Madinah in the time of Allah's Messenger (SAW), the people said, "O Allah's Messenger, prices have become high, so fix them for us." Allah's Messenger (SAW) replied, Allah is the One Who fixes prices, Who withholds, gives lavishly and provides. And I hope that when I meet Allah, the Most High, none of you will have any claim on me for an injustice regarding blood or property." [Reported by al-Khamsah excluding an-Nasa'i; Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

" "Some Bedouins came to Al-Madinah at the time of (Eid) Al-Adha and the Messenger of Allah said: 'Eat, and store (the meat) for three days.' After that they said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the people used to benefit form their sacrifices by melting down the fat, and (also) making water skins from them.' He said: 'Why are you asking?' He said: 'Because you forbade us form keeping the meat of the sacrificial animals.' He said: 'I only forbade that because of the Bedouins who came. (Now) eat it, store it and give it in charity," (Sahih )

"On the day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited every predator possessing canines, and the Mujath-thamah, and the domestic donkey."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Ali, Jabir, Al-Bara', Ibn Abi Awfa, Anas, Al-'Irbad bin Sariyah, Abu Tha'labah, Ibn 'Umar and Abu Sa'eed.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

'Abdul-'Aziz bin Muhammad and others reported this Hadith from Muhammad bin 'Amr, and they only mentioned one phrase: "The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited every predator possessing canines."

"I heard Ibn Abi Laila narrating that Hudhaifah asked for water, so someone brought him a vessel made from silver. He threw it, and said: 'I have indeed forbade him, but he refused to stop! Indeed the Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited drinking from silver and gold vessels, and from wearing silk and Dibaj, and he (saws) said: "If is for them in this world, and for you in the Hereafter."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from Umm Salamah, Al-Bara', and 'Aishah.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "There are six things with Allah for the martyr. He is forgiven with the first flow of blood (he suffers), he is shown his place in Paradise, he is protected from punishment in the grave, secured from the greatest terror, the crown of dignity is placed upon his head - and its gems are better than the world and what is in it - he is married to seventy two wives along Al-Huril-'Ayn of Paradise, and he may intercede for seventy of his close relatives."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

The Prophet (SAW) said, "Pray before Maghrib, pray before Maghrib" then he said at the third time, "Whoever wishes (to)". He said so, because he did not like the people to take it as a Sunnah. [Reported by al-Bukhari].

Whenever we went up a hill we would say Allāhu Akbar (Allah is the Most Great) and when we descended we would say Subḥānallāh (Glory is to Allah). Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 6/135.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to go by way of Ash-Shajarah and return by way of Al-Mu'arras. He would also enter Makkah through the Higher Pass and would leave it through the Lower Pass.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

a married man who committed adultery, a man who kills another Muslim intentionally for which he must be killed (in Qisas or retaliation), and a man who abandons Islam and fights against Allah and His Messenger, in which case he should be either killed, crucified, or exiled.” Related by Abu Dawud and An-Nasa’i. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

“Safiyyah was given to Dihyah Al-Kalbi (as his share of the war booty), then she was given to the Messenger of Allah after that. He married her, and made her ransom (i.e., freedom from slavery) her dowry.” (Sahih)Hammad said: “Abdul-'Aziz said to Thabit: 'O Abu Muhammad! Did you ask Anas what her bridal-money was?' He said: 'Her bridal-money was her freedom.' ”

"On the day of Hunain the Messenger of Allah took a hair from the side of a camel and said: 'O you people, it is not permissible for me to take even the equivalent of this from the Fay' that Allah has bestowed upon you, except the Khumus, and the Khumus will come back to you." (Sahih) Abu 'Abdur-Rahman (An-Nasa'i) said: Abu Sallam's name is Mamtur and he is Ethiopian, and Abu Umamah's name is Sudai bin 'Ajlan.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Whoever grants respite to an indigent or alleviates it for him, Allah will shade him on the Day of Judgement under His Throne, a Day in which there is no shade except His shade."

[He said:] There are narrations on this topic from Abu Al-Yasar, Abu Qatadah, Hudhaifah, Abu Mas'ud, 'Ubadah, and Jabir.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith if Abu Hurairah is a Hasan Sahih Gharib Hadith from this route.

When a drinker was brought in the time of God’s Messenger, during Abu Bakr’s Caliphate and in the beginning of ‘Umar’s Caliphate, we beat him with our hands, sandals and cloaks, but at the end of ‘Umar’s Caliphate he inflicted forty stripes, and when people were immoderate and excessively wicked he inflicted eighty stripes. Bukhari transmitted it.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr b. al-‘As reported God’s Messenger as saying to him, “Don’t be like so and so, ‘Abdallah. He used to get up during the night, then abandoned the practice.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The keys of the unseen are five.” He then recited, “God has knowledge of the Hour, and He sends down the rain . . .” (Al-Qur’an; 31:34). Bukhari transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, "The reason why al Khidr was so called was because he sat on some white waste land and it sprouted green (khadra') behind him." Bukhari transmitted it.

Ibn 'Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘On the Day of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) allotted two shares for a horse, and one share (from the war booty) for the fighter. Agreed upon and the wording is from Al-Bukhari.

Ibn 'Abbas (RAA) narrated, "The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) cursed men who are effeminate and women who take the similitude of men, and said, "Get them out of your homes." Related by Al-Bukhari.

I asked Allah's Messenger (SAW) about looking around during prayer and he said, "It is something which the devil snatches from a person's prayer." [Reported by al-Bukhari].

On an 'Eid day, Allah's Messenger (SAW) would return by a different road from the one he had taken when going out (for the 'Eid prayer.) [Reported by al-Bukhari].

‘A’isha reported the Prophet as saying, “He who develops land which has no owner has the best right to it.” ‘Urwa said that ‘Umar gave decision accordingly during his caliphate. Bukhari transmitted it.

Seven classes of women are prohibited by reason of consanguinity and seven by reason of relationship by marriage. He then recited, "Prohibited to you are your mothers ...” (Al-Qur’an 4:23). Bukhari transmitted it.

I made my covenant with Messenger of Allah (PBUH) on the observance of Salat, payment of Zakat, and giving counsel to Muslim."

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "I am not leaving behind me a more harmful trial for men than women".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Abu Bakr (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "Show reverence to Messenger of Allah (PBUH) by honouring the members of his family."

[Al- Bukhari].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "(Prophet) Dawud (PBUH) ate only out of that which he earned through his manual work."

[Al-Bukhari].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Protect yourself from Hell-fire even by giving a piece of date as charity."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Allah, the Exalted, says, 'Spend, O son of Adam, you will also be spent upon."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Hear and obey even if an Abyssinian slave whose head is like a raisin is placed in authority over you."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) liked to use his right hand in all matters: in combing his hair and wearing his shoes.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) visited us and we brought water for him in a brass vessel for his ablution and he performed ablution.

The body of Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was shrouded in three white Yemeni cotton garments, among which was neither a gown nor a turban.

I saw Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sitting in the compound of the Holy Ka'bah, with the thighs against the stomach and arms around his legs.

[Al- Bukhari].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "There is no infection and no evil omen; but if there is anything (that may be a source of trouble) then it could be a house, a horse, and a woman."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not abuse the dead, because they have attained that which they had forwarded (i.e., their deeds, good or bad)."

[Al-Bukhari].

A man sought permission for audience with the Prophet (PBUH). He said, "Give him permission but he is a bad member of his tribe."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
