Sunan Abi Dawud 1594
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Prophet (saws) said: No sadaqah is due on a horse or a slave except that given at the breaking of the fast (at the end of Ramadan).

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:
Ubayy ibn Ka'b made me read the following verse as the Messenger of Allah (saws) made him read: "in a spring of murky water" (fi 'aynin hami'atin) with short vowel a after h.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
The Prophet (saws) said: When you hear the barking of dogs and the braying of asses at night, seek refuge in Allah, for they see which you do not see.

Sunan Abi Dawud 1773
Anas said :
Messenger of Allah (SWAS) prayed four rak’ahs at Madinah and prayed two rak’ahs of afternoon prayer at Dhu-al Hulaifah. He then passed the night at Dhu-al Hulaifah till the morning came. When he rode on his mount and it stood up on its back, he raised his voice in talbiyah.

Perform bowing and prostration well. By Allah, I see you even if you are behind me, or he said: (I see you) behind my back when you bow or prostrate.

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said:
"Some meat from the shoulder of a sheep was brought to the Messenger of Allah and he ate some of it, then he performed prayer without touching water (for ablution)."

some people raided the she-camels of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) , so the Prophet(SAW) cut off their hands and feet (on opposite sides) and lanced (gouged out) their eyes.

Sunan Ibn Majah 990
It was
narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As said:
“The Messenger of
Allah (saw) said: ‘I hear an infant crying so I make the prayer
short.’”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي كَرِيمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُلاَثَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" إِنِّي لأَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ فَأَتَجَوَّزُ فِي الصَّلاَةِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1137
It was
narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw)
said: ‘On Friday there is a time when no Muslim man happens to
stand
in prayer at that time, asking Allah for good things, but He
will give
that to him.” And he gestured with his hand to indicate
how short that
time is.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" إِنَّ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ سَاعَةً، لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ، قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ فِيهَا خَيْرًا، إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ " . وَقَلَّلَهَا بِيَدِهِ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1464
It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said:
“If I had known then what I know
now,
no one would have washed the Prophet (SAW) but his wives.”

Sunan Ibn Majah 3965
It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Prophet (saw) said:
“When
one Muslim wields his weapon against his brother, both of them are at
the edge of Hell, and if one of them kills the other, they will both
enter it.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ
" إِذَا الْمُسْلِمَانِ حَمَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَلَى أَخِيهِ السِّلاَحَ فَهُمَا عَلَى جُرُفِ جَهَنَّمَ فَإِذَا قَتَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ دَخَلاَهَا جَمِيعًا " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4225
It was
narrated from Abu Dharr:
“I said to the Prophet (saw): ‘(What
do
you say about when) a man does a deed for the sake of Allah, and
people love him for it?’ He said: ‘That is the immediate glad
tidings
of the believer.’”

narrated from Bahz bin Hakim, from his father, that his
grandfather
said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘On the Day of
Resurrection, we will complete seventy nations, of whom we are the
last and the best.’”

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to me: “Do not follow one glance with another; you may be allowed the first but not the second.`

Narrated Nafi`:
Ibn `Umar said, The Prophet said, 'Do the opposite of what the pagans do. Keep the beards and cut the moustaches short.' Whenever Ibn `Umar performed the Hajj or `Umra, he used to hold his beard with his hand and cut whatever remained outside his hold.

Riyad as-Salihin 490
'Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:
The family of Muhammad (PBUH) never ate to the fill the bread of barley for two successive days until he died.

Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "O Messenger of Allah! How should we supplicate for you?" He (PBUH) replied, "Say: 'Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi, kama sallaita 'ala Ibrahima; wa barik 'ala Muhammadin wa 'ala azwajihi wa dhurriyyatihi, kama barakta 'ala Ibrahima, innaka Hamidum-Majid (O Allah sent Your Salat (O Allah, exalt the mention of Muhammad and his wives and offspring as You exalted the mention of the family of Ibrahim, and bless Muhammad and the wives and the offspring of Muhammad as you blessed the family of Ibrahim. You are the Praised, the Glorious'."

It was narrated that Abu Humaid As-Sa'idi said:
"When the Prophet (SAW) fell to the ground during prostration, he held his arms away from his sides and bent his toes."

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that Hafsah said:
"When dawn came, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) would not pray anything but two brief rak'ahs."

Sahih al-Bukhari 389
Narrated Hudhaifa that he saw a person bowing and prostrating imperfectly. When he finished his Salat, Hudhaifa told him that he had not offered Salat. The subnarrator added, "I think that Hudhaifa also said:
Were you to die you would die on a "Sunna" (legal way) other than that of Muhammad (saws)."
أَخْبَرَنَا الصَّلْتُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَهْدِيٌّ، عَنْ وَاصِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، رَأَى رَجُلاً لاَ يُتِمُّ رُكُوعَهُ وَلاَ سُجُودَهُ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاَتَهُ قَالَ لَهُ حُذَيْفَةُ مَا صَلَّيْتَ ـ قَالَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ ـ لَوْ مُتَّ مُتَّ عَلَى غَيْرِ سُنَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said:
When a woman spends the night away from the bed of her husband, the angels curse her until morning.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ الْمُثَنَّى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ، بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِذَا بَاتَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ هَاجِرَةً فِرَاشَ زَوْجِهَا لَعَنَتْهَا الْمَلاَئِكَةُ حَتَّى تُصْبِحَ " .

Narrated Abu Wail:
Hudhaifa said, "I saw a person not performing his bowing and prostrations perfectly. When he completed the prayer, I told him that he had not prayed." I think that Hudhaifa added (i.e. said to the man), "Had you died, you would have died on a tradition other than that of the Prophet Muhammad."

It was narrated that Abu Salamah said:
"I asked 'Aishah about that and she said: 'The Messenger of Allah got married (and married his daughters) for twelve Uqiyah and a Nashsh'" which is five hundred Dirhams.

"For a boy there shoud be an 'Aqiqah, so shed blood for him, and remove the harm from him."

" فِي الْغُلاَمِ عَقِيقَةٌ فَأَهْرِيقُوا عَنْهُ دَمًا وَأَمِيطُوا عَنْهُ الأَذَى " .

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin Mughaffal that the Prophet said:
"Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for hunting, herding livestock or farming, one Qurat will be deducted from his reward each day."

" مَنِ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا إِلاَّ كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ أَوْ زَرْعٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطٌ " .

It was narrated that Hakim bin Hizam said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: "Do not sell food until you have bought it and taken possession of it."'

It was narrated that 'Ali said:
"I felt too shy to ask the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about prostatic fluid because of Fatimah, so I told Al-Miqdad bin Al-Aswad to ask about it, and he (the Prophet (PBUH)) said: 'Perform Wudu' for that.'"

"Tell her to perform Ghusl and enter Ihram."

Ja'far ibn Muhammad reported that his father said:
"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) died on Monday, after which he remained that day and Tuesday night, and he was buried during the night.”
According to Sufyan [ibn 'Uyaina], someone else said: “The sound of the iron shovels could be heard during the latter part of the night.”

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:
Ata' ibn AbuRabah asked Aisha: Can women offer prayer on a riding beast? She replied: They were not permitted to do so in hardship or comfort. Muhammad ibn Shu'ayb said: This (prohibition) applies to the obligatory prayers.
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ الْمُنْذِرِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَائِشَةَ - رضى الله عنها - هَلْ رُخِّصَ لِلنِّسَاءِ أَنْ يُصَلِّينَ عَلَى الدَّوَابِّ قَالَتْ لَمْ يُرَخَّصْ لَهُنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ فِي شِدَّةٍ وَلاَ رَخَاءٍ . قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ هَذَا فِي الْمَكْتُوبَةِ .

" أَخِّرِيهِ عَنِّي " . قَالَتْ
فَأَخَّرْتُهُ فَجَعَلْتُهُ وَسَائِدَ .

This hadith has been reported by Miqdam b. Shuraih b. Hani with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition:
" 'A'isha mounted upon a wild camel and she began to make that go round and round. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: You should show kindness, and then he made a mention of this hadith.
حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،
سَمِعْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ وَزَادَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ رَكِبَتْ عَائِشَةُ بَعِيرًا
فَكَانَتْ فِيهِ صُعُوبَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تُرَدِّدُهُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ
" . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ .

Whoever claimed that (the Prophet) Muhammad saw his Lord, is committing a great fault, for he only saw Gabriel in his genuine shape in which he was created covering the whole horizon.

Narrated Yahya b. Yazid al-Hannani:
I asked Anas b. Malik about the shortening of the prayer (while travelling). He said: When the Messenger of Allah (saws) went out on a journey of three miles or three farsakh (the narrator Shu'bah doubted), he used to pray two rak'ahs.

Malik b. Ghurfatah says :
I heard ‘Abd Khair say: I saw a chair was brought to ‘Ali who sat on it. A vessel of water was then brought to him. He washed his hands three times ; he then rinsed his mouth and snuffed up water with one handful of water. He narrated the tradition completely.

when one of you prostrates himself he must not kneel in the manner of camel, but should put down his hands before his knees.

Jubair bin Mut’im reported the Prophet (saws) as saying about the prisoners taken at Badr. If Mut’im bin ‘Adi had been alive and spoken to me about these filthy ones, I would have left them for him.

Sa'id b. Yazid said:
The call to the (Friday) prayer was made at the gate of the mosque in front of the Messenger of Allah (saws) when he sat on the pulpit, and of Abu Bakr and 'Umar. The narrator then repeated the same tradition as reported by Yunus.

Sunan Abi Dawud 1137
This tradition has also been narrated by Umm 'Atiyyah in a similar manner through a different chain. She added:
The menstruating women should keep themselves away from the place of prayer of the Muslims. She did not mention the garment. She narrated this tradition from Hafsah mentioning a woman who asked about another woman saying: O Messenger of Allah ....She then reported the tradition like that narrated by Musa mentioning the garment.

" وَيَعْتَزِلُ الْحُيَّضُ مُصَلَّى الْمُسْلِمِينَ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الثَّوْبَ . قَالَ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ تُحَدِّثُهُ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ أُخْرَى قَالَتْ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُوسَى فِي الثَّوْبِ .

I observed prayer along with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and with Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with all of them), but I never heard any one of them reciting Bismillah-ir-Rahman-ir-Rahim loudly.

The water from as-Suqya' was considered sweetest by the Prophet (saws). Qutaybah said: it was a well on two days' journey from Medina.

Abu Humaid as-Sa‘idi said that when some people asked God’s Messenger how they should invoke blessings on him he told them to say, “O God, bless Muhammad, his wives and his offspring as Thou didst bless Abraham; and grant favours to Muhammad, his wives and his offspring as Thou didst grant favours to the family of Abraham. Thou art indeed praiseworthy and glorious.”

Abu Musa reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, heard a man praise another man and he was using exaggeration
in his praise of him. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,
said, "You have destroyed - or broken - the man's back."

'Abda ibn Hazn said, "The people of camels and the people of sheep
vied with one another for glory. The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, 'Musa was sent, and he was a shepherd. Da'ud was sent,
and he was a shepherd. I was sent, and I used to herd sheep for my people
at Ajyad.'"

'A'isha reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) died (in this very state) that he observed most of his (Nafl) prayers in a sitting position.

Anas reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying to Ubayy b. Ka`b:
Allah has commanded me to recite to you:" Those who disbelieve were not..." (al-Qur'an, xcviii. 1). He said: Did He mention me by name? He (the Holy Prophet said): Yes. Upon this he shed tears (of gratitude).

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
Seek it (Lailat-ul-Qadr) in the last (ten nights). If one among you shows slackness and weakness (in the earlier part of Ramadan), it should not be allowed to prevail upon him in the last week.

the Prophet (SAW) set the blood money at twelve thousand (Dirham). He said: “This is what Allah says: 'And they could not find any cause to do so except that Allah and his Messenger (SAW) had enriched them of His bounty.'” He said: “By their taking the blood money.”

" يَا عُمَرُ هَاهُنَا تُسْكَبُ الْعَبَرَاتُ " .

used to recite “Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High,”
[Al-A’la (87)] and “Has there come to you the narration of the
overwhelming?” [Al-Ghashiyah (88)] in the ‘Eid prayer.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَشِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ بِـ {سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى} وَ {هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ} .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1551
It was
narrated that Abu Rafi’ said:
“The Messenger of Allah (SAW)
placed Sa’d gently in his grave and sprinkled water on it.”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا مِنْدَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ سَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ سَعْدًا وَرَشَّ عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مَاءً .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4147
It was
narrated that Anas bin Malik said:
“I heard the Messenger of
Allah
(saw) say several times: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul
of
Muhammad, the family of Muhammad does not have a Sa’ of food grains
or a Sa’ of dates.’ And at that time he had nine wives.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ مِرَارًا
" وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا أَصْبَحَ عِنْدَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاعُ حَبٍّ وَلاَ صَاعُ تَمْرٍ " . وَإِنَّ لَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ تِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ .

Sunan Ibn Majah 4326
It was
narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (saw) said:
“The
Fire
will consume all of the son of Adam except the mark of
prostration.
Allah has forbidden the Fire to consume the mark of
prostration.’”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَادَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ
" تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ ابْنَ آدَمَ إِلاَّ أَثَرَ السُّجُودِ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ عَلَى النَّارِ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ أَثَرَ السُّجُودِ " .

Sunan Ibn Majah 1794
It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said:
"There is no Sadaqah on less than five camels; there is no Sadaqah on less than five Awaq; and there is no Sadaqah on less than five Awsaq."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
" لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسَاقٍ صَدَقَةٌ " .
