Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) cursed those men who behave effeminately and those women whose behavior is masculine."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، وَأَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمُخَنَّثِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالْمُتَرَجِّلاَتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ .

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Do not turn your houses into graves. Indeed Ash-Shaitan does not enter the house in which Surat Al-Baqarah is recited."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ تَجْعَلُوا بُيُوتَكُمْ مَقَابِرَ وَإِنَّ الْبَيْتَ الَّذِي تُقْرَأُ فِيهِ الْبَقَرَةُ لاَ يَدْخُلُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad is equal to a third of the Qur'an."
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلُ بْنُ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم (قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ) تَعْدِلُ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated 'Ali:
"When I would ask the Messenger of Allah (SAW), he would give me, and when I would be silent, he would initiate (speech or giving) with me."
حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ هِنْدٍ الْجَمَلِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ كُنْتُ إِذَا سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْطَانِي وَإِذَا سَكَتُّ ابْتَدَأَنِي .هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

"We called Zaid bin Harithah nothing but 'Zaid bin Muhammad' until the Qur'an was revealed (ordering): Call them by their fathers, that is more just according to Allah. (33:5)"

that a man spoke negatively of 'Aishah before 'Ammar bin Yasir so he said: "Be gone as one despicable and rejected! Do you insult the beloved of the Messenger of Allah (SAW)?"

" لاَ يَبْغَضُ الأَنْصَارَ أَحَدٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخِرِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ الطَّائِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْقَاهِرِ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَكْرَهُ ثَلاَثَةَ أَحْيَاءٍ ثَقِيفًا وَبَنِي حَنِيفَةَ وَبَنِي أُمَيَّةَ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:
that the Prophet (SAW) said: "The major sins are associating others with Allah, disobeying the parents" or he said, "the false oath". Shu'bah (a narrator in the chain) was in doubt.

"The moon was cleft asunder during the time of the Messenger of Allah (SAW), so the Prophet (SAW) said to us: 'Bear witness.'"

" اشْهَدُوا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Anas:
"The people of Makkah asked the Prophet (SAW) for a sign, so the moon was cleft asunder in Makkah two times (meaning two parts), so the following was revealed: 'The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft asunder, up to his saying: 'Magic, Mustamir (54:1 & 2)' meaning 'Going away.'"
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ سَأَلَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم آيَةً فَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ بِمَكَّةَ مَرَّتَيْنِ فَنَزَلَت : (اقتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ ) إِلَى قَوْلِهِ : (سحْرٌ مُسْتَمِرٌّ ) يَقُولُ ذَاهِبٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

"I asked Zirr bin Hubaish about the saying of Allah the Might and Sublime: And was a distance of two bow lengths or less (53:9). So he said: 'Ibn Mas'ud informed me that the Prophet (SAW) saw Jibra'il, and he had six-hundred wings.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زِرَّ بْنَ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ : (فكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى ) فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ وَلَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Riyad as-Salihin 47
Mu'adh bin Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The one who suppresses anger and has the power to give effect to it, will be called out by Allah, the Exalted, to the forefront of the creatures on the Day of Resurrection and he will be asked to choose any of the virgins (Hur) of his liking".

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah, in the Hadith of Asma' bint 'Umair, when she gave birth in Dhul-Hulaifah, that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to Abu Bakr:
"Tell her to perform Ghusl and enter Ihram."

"A man shall remain exalting himself until he is written among the tyrants, so that he suffers from their afflictions."

This hadith is reported on the authority of Jabir b. 'Abdullah that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) took hold of his hand and led him to his residence as narrated above up to the words:
" Vinegar is a good condiment." But in the hadith transmitted through this chain of transmitters, there is no mention of the subsequent part.

"I dislike shackles," up to the end of his statement, but he made no mention of this: "A vision is a forty-sixth part of Prophecy."

This hadith has been reported by Miqdam b. Shuraih b. Hani with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition:
" 'A'isha mounted upon a wild camel and she began to make that go round and round. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: You should show kindness, and then he made a mention of this hadith.
حَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ، بَشَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،

فَكَانَتْ فِيهِ صُعُوبَةٌ فَجَعَلَتْ تُرَدِّدُهُ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ
" . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِهِ .

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Sulaiman Taimi with the same chain of transmitters that a person had taken liberty with a woman less than fomication. He came to 'Umar b. Khattab and he took it to be a serious offence. Then he came to Abu Bakr and he also took it to be a serious offence. Then he came the Allahs Apostle (may peace be upon him) and he made a mention of this to him. The rest of the hadith is the same.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ

What is Islam? He replied : It means saying prayer, payment of zakat, performing HAJJ, fasting during RAMADAN, and taking a bath on account of sexual defilement.
Abu Dawud said: 'Alqamah was a Murji'i.

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Prophet (saws) as saying - the narrator Isma'il transmitted it from Abu Hurairah, and mentioned the tradition about the coming down of revelation-: "So far (is this the case) that when terror is removed from their hearts."

This tradition has also been narrated by Ya’la bin Umayyah through a different chain of narrators. This version adds The Prophet (saws) said to him “Take off your tunic”. He then took it off from his head. The narrator then narrated the rest of the tradition.

Abu Dawud said : A similar tradition has been narrated by Abu Ayyub and Habib b. al-Shahid on the authority of Muhammad.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
An eclipse of the sun took place. the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) prayed along with the people. He stood up for a long time nearly equal to the recitation of Surah al Baqarah. H then bowed. The narrator then transmitted the rest of the tradition.

I heard ‘Abd Khair say: I saw a chair was brought to ‘Ali who sat on it. A vessel of water was then brought to him. He washed his hands three times ; he then rinsed his mouth and snuffed up water with one handful of water. He narrated the tradition completely.

Sa'id b. Yazid said:
The call to the (Friday) prayer was made at the gate of the mosque in front of the Messenger of Allah (saws) when he sat on the pulpit, and of Abu Bakr and 'Umar. The narrator then repeated the same tradition as reported by Yunus.
حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ كَانَ يُؤَذَّنُ بَيْنَ يَدَىْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا جَلَسَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عَلَى بَابِ الْمَسْجِدِ وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ . ثُمَّ سَاقَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1090
Sa'ib said:
There was no other mu'adhdhin of the Messenger of Allah (saws). He then narrated the tradition which is incomplete.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ ابْنَ أُخْتِ، نَمِرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم غَيْرُ مُؤَذِّنٍ وَاحِدٍ . وَسَاقَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ وَلَيْسَ بِتَمَامِهِ .

Sunan Abi Dawud 1137
This tradition has also been narrated by Umm 'Atiyyah in a similar manner through a different chain. She added:
The menstruating women should keep themselves away from the place of prayer of the Muslims. She did not mention the garment. She narrated this tradition from Hafsah mentioning a woman who asked about another woman saying: O Messenger of Allah ....She then reported the tradition like that narrated by Musa mentioning the garment.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، بِهَذَا الْخَبَرِ قَالَ
" وَيَعْتَزِلُ الْحُيَّضُ مُصَلَّى الْمُسْلِمِينَ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الثَّوْبَ . قَالَ وَحَدَّثَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ تُحَدِّثُهُ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ أُخْرَى قَالَتْ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ مُوسَى فِي الثَّوْبِ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1180
Fatimah bint Qais said:
"My husband divorced me three times during the time of the Prophet. So the Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no housing for you nor maintenance.'" Al-Mughirah (one of the narrators) said: "I mentioned that to Ibrahim and he said: Umar said: "We do not leave the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of our Prophet for the saying of a woman, and we do not know if she remembered or forgot." And Umar used to give her (the divorced woman) housing and maintenance.'"
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ طَلَّقَنِي زَوْجِي ثَلاَثًا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَنْبَأَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ، وَمُجَالِدٌ، قَالَ هُشَيْمٌ وَحَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ، أَيْضًا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ فَسَأَلْتُهَا عَنْ قَضَاءِ، رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِيهَا فَقَالَتْ طَلَّقَهَا زَوْجُهَا الْبَتَّةَ فَخَاصَمَتْهُ فِي السُّكْنَى وَالنَّفَقَةِ فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سُكْنَى وَلاَ نَفَقَةً . وَفِي حَدِيثِ دَاوُدَ قَالَتْ وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي بَيْتِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْهُمُ الْحَسَنُ الْبَصْرِيُّ وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ وَالشَّعْبِيُّ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ . وَقَالُوا لَيْسَ لِلْمُطَلَّقَةِ سُكْنَى وَلاَ نَفَقَةٌ إِذَا لَمْ يَمْلِكْ زَوْجُهَا الرَّجْعَةَ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْهُمْ عُمَرُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِنَّ الْمُطَلَّقَةَ ثَلاَثًا لَهَا السُّكْنَى وَالنَّفَقَةُ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ لَهَا السُّكْنَى وَلاَ نَفَقَةَ لَهَا . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ وَاللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَالشَّافِعِيِّ . وَقَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ إِنَّمَا جَعَلْنَا لَهَا السُّكْنَى بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: (لاَ تُخْرِجُوهُنَّ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِنَّ وَلاَ يَخْرُجْنَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يَأْتِينَ بِفَاحِشَةٍ مُبَيِّنَةٍ ) قَالُوا هُوَ الْبَذَاءُ أَنْ تَبْذُوَ عَلَى أَهْلِهَا . وَاعْتَلَّ بِأَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ قَيْسٍ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ لَهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم السُّكْنَى لِمَا كَانَتْ تَبْذُو عَلَى أَهْلِهَا . قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَلاَ نَفَقَةَ لَهَا لِحَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي قِصَّةِ حَدِيثِ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1202
Sa'eed bin Jubair narrated:
"I was asked about those who were involved in the case of Li'an and if they are to be separated, during the leadership of Mus'ab bin Az-Zubair. I did not know what to say. So I went to the house of Abdullah bin Umar and I sought permission to enter. I was told that he was taking a nap, but he heard me talking and he said: 'Is it Ibn Jubair? Enter. You would not have come except for a need.'"He said: "So I entered and found him lying on a saddlecloth from his mount. I said: 'O Abu Abdur-Rahman! Are those involved in Li'an separated?' He said: 'Glorious is Allah! Yes. The first who asked about that was so-and-so the son of so-and-so. He came to the Prophet and said: "O Messenger of Allah! If one of us saw his wife committing adultery what should he do? If he were to say anything, his statement would be a horrible matter, and if he were to remain silent, his silence about the matter would be horrible."
"He said: 'So the Prophet remained silent and did not answer him. Afterwards he came to the Prophet and said: "The one who asked you about it has been tried by it." So Allah revealed these Ayat from Surat An-Nur. And those who accuse their wives and have no witnesses except themselves - until the end of those Ayat. So he called for the man and recited the Ayat to him and admonished him, reminded him, and he told him: "Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter." So he said: "Nay! By the One Who sent you with the truth! I did not lie about her." Then he did the same with the woman, admonished her and reminding her and he told her: "Indeed the punishment of the world is less than the punishment of the Hereafter." She said: "Nay! By the One Who sent you with the truth! He is not telling the truth.'"
"He said: 'So he started with the man: He testified four times, by Allah that he is one of the truthful, and the fifth time that the curse of Allah be upon him if he was one of the liars. Then the same with the woman: She testified four times by Allah, that he was one of the liars, and the fifth time that the wrath of Allah be upon her if he was one of the truthful. Then he separated the two of them.'"
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ سُئِلْتُ عَنِ الْمُتَلاَعِنَيْنِ، فِي إِمَارَةِ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَيُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا فَمَا دَرَيْتُ مَا أَقُولُ فَقُمْتُ مَكَانِي إِلَى مَنْزِلِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقِيلَ لِي إِنَّهُ قَائِلٌ . فَسَمِعَ كَلاَمِي فَقَالَ ابْنُ جُبَيْرٍ ادْخُلْ مَا جَاءَ بِكَ إِلاَّ حَاجَةٌ . قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ فَإِذَا هُوَ مُفْتَرِشٌ بَرْدَعَةَ رَحْلٍ لَهُ . فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُتَلاَعِنَانِ أَيُفَرَّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ نَعَمْ إِنَّ أَوَّلَ مَنْ سَأَلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فُلاَنُ بْنُ فُلاَنٍ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَنَا رَأَى امْرَأَتَهُ عَلَى فَاحِشَةٍ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ إِنْ تَكَلَّمَ تَكَلَّمَ بِأَمْرٍ عَظِيمٍ وَإِنْ سَكَتَ سَكَتَ عَلَى أَمْرٍ عَظِيمٍ . قَالَ فَسَكَتَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَلَمْ يُجِبْهُ فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ الَّذِي سَأَلْتُكَ عَنْهُ قَدِ ابْتُلِيتُ بِهِ . فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ هَذِهِ الآيَاتِ الَّتِي فِي سُورَةِ النُّور : (وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلاَّ أَنْفُسُهُمْ ) حَتَّى خَتَمَ الآيَاتِ فَدَعَا الرَّجُلَ فَتَلاَ الآيَاتِ عَلَيْهِ وَوَعَظَهُ وَذَكَّرَهُ وَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَذَابَ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الآخِرَةِ . فَقَالَ لاَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهَا . ثُمَّ ثَنَّى بِالْمَرْأَةِ فَوَعَظَهَا وَذَكَّرَهَا وَأَخْبَرَهَا أَنَّ عَذَابَ الدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ مِنْ عَذَابِ الآخِرَةِ فَقَالَتْ لاَ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا صَدَقَ . قَالَ فَبَدَأَ بِالرَّجُلِ فَشَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ . ثُمَّ ثَنَّى بِالْمَرْأَةِ فَشَهِدَتْ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ . ثُمَّ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَحُذَيْفَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عُمَرَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ .

'Urwa reported on the authority of'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), saying this:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said. Perform ablution (after eating) anything touched by fire.
قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، وَأَنَا أُحَدِّثُهُ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ . أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ، مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ سَمِعْتُ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا مَسَّتِ النَّارُ " .

Anas reported:
Bilal was commanded (by the Apostle of Allah) to repeat (the phrases of) Adhan twice and once in Iqama. The narrator said: I made a mention of it before Ayyub who said: Except for saying: Qamat-is-Salat [the time for prayer has come].

The Prophet (saws) said: Divide the property among those whose share have been prescribed in the Book of Allah, and what remains from the prescribed shares goes to the nearest male heirs.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Busr:
The Prophet (saws) said: The time between the great war and the conquest of the city (Constantinople) will be six years, and the Dajjal (Antichrist) will come forth in the seventh.
Abu Dawud said: This is sounder than the tradition narrated by Isa (bin Yunus)
حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ بَحِيرٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بُسْرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" بَيْنَ الْمَلْحَمَةِ وَفَتْحِ الْمَدِينَةِ سِتُّ سِنِينَ وَيَخْرُجُ الْمَسِيحُ الدَّجَّالُ فِي السَّابِعَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عِيسَى .

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
The Prophet (saws) said: When a man tells something and then departs, it is a trust.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَتِيكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا حَدَّثَ الرَّجُلُ بِالْحَدِيثِ ثُمَّ الْتَفَتَ فَهِيَ أَمَانَةٌ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3810
Muhammed b. Sulaiman narrated from Abu Nu’aim, from Mis’ar, from Ibn ‘Ubaid, from Ibn Ma’qil, from two men of Muzainah, one from the other, one of them is ‘Abd Allah b. ‘Amr b. ‘Uwaim, and the other is Ghalib b. al-Abjar. Mis’ar said:
I think it was Ghalib who had come to the Prophet(may peace be upon him) with tradition.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، عَنْ رَجُلَيْنِ، مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ أَحَدُهُمَا عَنِ الآخَرِ، أَحَدُهُمَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُوَيْمٍ وَالآخَرُ غَالِبُ بْنُ الأَبْجَرِ . قَالَ مِسْعَرٌ أَرَى غَالِبًا الَّذِي أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2713
Al-Hajjaj b. ‘Amr al-Ansari reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone breaks a leg or becomes lame he has come out of the sacred state and must perform the pilgrimage the following year.”
Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, and Abu Dawud added in another version “or becomes ill.” Tirmidhi said this is a hasan tradition, but in al-Masabih it is called weak.
وَعَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «من كُسِرَ أَوْ عَرِجَ فَقَدْ حَلَّ وَعَلَيْهِ الْحَجُّ من قَابل» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دواد وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ وَزَادَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى: «أَوْ مَرِضَ» . وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيث حسن. وَفِي المصابيح: ضَعِيف

Mishkat al-Masabih 5431
Buraida told that in the tradition telling that people with small eyes, i.e. the Turks, would fight with them, the Prophet said, "You will drive them off three times till you catch up with them in Arabia. On the first occasion when you drive them off those who fly will be safe, on the second occasion some will be safe and some will perish, but on the third occasion they will be extirpated," or words to that effect.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَدِيثٍ: «يُقَاتِلُكُمْ قَوْمٌ صِغَارُ الْأَعْيُنِ» يَعْنِي التّرْك. قَالَ: «تسوقونهم ثَلَاث مَرَّات حَتَّى تلحقوهم بِجَزِيرَة الْعَرَب فَأَما السِّيَاقَةِ الْأُولَى فَيَنْجُو مَنْ هَرَبَ مِنْهُمْ وَأَمَّا الثَّانِيَة فينجو بعض وَيهْلك بعض وَأما الثَّالِثَةِ فَيُصْطَلَمُونَ» أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 5484
Fatima, daughter of Qais told in the tradition of Tamim ad-Dari that he said, "Then I saw a woman who was trailing her hair and asked who she was. She replied that she was the jassasa and told me to go to that castle. I went to it and found a man with trailing hair, bound in fetters, leaping between heaven and earth, and when I asked him who he was he replied that he was the dajjal.''
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ فِي حَدِيثِ تَمِيمٍ الدَّارِيِّ: قَالَتْ: قَالَ: فَإِذَا أَنَا بِامْرَأَةٍ تَجُرُّ شَعَرَهَا قَالَ: مَا أَنْتِ؟ قَالَتْ: أَنَا الْجَسَّاسَةُ اذْهَبْ إِلَى ذَلِكَ الْقَصْرِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ يَجُرُّ شَعَرَهُ مُسَلْسَلٌ فِي الْأَغْلَالِ يَنْزُو فِيمَا بَيْنُ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ. فَقُلْتُ: مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ: أَنا الدَّجَّال ". رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 410
Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless
him and grant him peace, said, "Beware of opinion. Opinion is the most
lying form of speech. Do not try to ensnare one another (in sales) nor
envy one another nor hate one another nor shun one another. Rather be the
slaves of Allah and brothers."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: إِيَّاكُمْ وَ الظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ، وَلاَ تَنَاجَشُوا، وَلاَ تَحَاسَدُوا، وَلاَ تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلاَ تَنَافَسُوا، وَلاَ تَدَابَرُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا.

Narrated Anas (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) was delivering the Khutbah (religious talk, sermon) while standing on a Friday when a man came into the mosque and said, "O Messenger of Allah! The livestock have died and the roads are cut off, so supplicate Allah to send us down rain." Allah's Messenger (SAW) raised his hands and then said, "O Allah! send us down rain, O Allah! send us down rain, O Allah! send us down rain."
And the reporter mentioned the complete Hadith, which contains supplication to stop the rain.
[Agreed upon].
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ اَلْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ اَلْجُمُعَةِ, وَالنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ. فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ, هَلَكَتِ اَلْأَمْوَالُ, وَانْقَطَعَتِ اَلسُّبُلُ, فَادْعُ اَللَّهَ] عَزَّ وَجَلَّ] يُغِيثُنَا, فَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ, ثُمَّ قَالَ:
"اَللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا, اَللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا..." } فَذَكَرَ اَلْحَدِيثَ، وَفِيهِ اَلدُّعَاءُ بِإِمْسَاكِهَا مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2145
An-Nu‘mān b. Bashīr reported God’s messenger as saying:
“Two thousand years before creating the heavens and the earth God inscribed a book of which He sent down two verses with which He concluded Sūrat al-Baqara. The devil will not come near a house in which they are recited three nights.”
Tirmidhī and Dārimī transmitted it, Tirmidhī saying this is a gharīb tradition.
وَعَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ كتب كتابا قبل أَن يخلق السَّمَوَات وَالْأَرْضَ بِأَلْفَيْ عَامٍ أَنْزَلَ مِنْهُ آيَتَيْنِ خَتَمَ بِهِمَا سُورَةَ الْبَقَرَةِ وَلَا تُقْرَآنِ فِي دَارٍ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ فَيَقْرَبَهَا الشَّيْطَانُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيب

Mishkat al-Masabih 3704
Abu Sa'id reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The one who will be dearest to God and nearest to Him in station of the day of resurrection will be a just imam, and the one who will be most hateful to God on the day of resurrection and will receive the severest punishment (or as a version has, will be farthest from Him in station) will be a tyrannical imam.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.
وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَحَبَّ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَقْرَبَهُمْ مِنْهُ مَجْلِسًا إِمَامٌ عَادِلٌ وَإِنَّ أَبْغَضَ النَّاسِ إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَأَشَدَّهُمْ عَذَابًا» وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «وَأَبْعَدَهُمْ مِنْهُ مَجْلِسًا إِمَامٌ جَائِرٌ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

Anas told of a man coming to the Prophet and saying, “Messenger of God, I intend to make a journey, so give me provisions.” He replied, “May God provide you with piety!” He asked for more, so he added, “And forgive your sin.” He said, “Say more, you for whom I would give my father and mother as ransom,” and he added, “And give you abundance of good wherever you are,”
Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَزَوِّدْنِي فَقَالَ: «زَوَّدَكَ اللَّهُ التَّقْوَى» . قَالَ: زِدْنِي قَالَ: «وَغَفَرَ ذَنْبَكَ» قَالَ: زِدْنِي بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي قَالَ: «وَيَسَّرَ لكَ الْخَيْر حيثُما كُنْتَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ

Sahih Muslim 413 b
Jabir said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) led the prayer and Abu Bakr was behind him. When the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) recited the takbir, Abu Bakr also recited (it) in order to make it audible to us. And the rest of the hadith is like one transmitted by Laith.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ خَلْفَهُ فَإِذَا كَبَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَبَّرَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لِيُسْمِعَنَا . ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ .

This hadith is transmitted by Sahl b. Sa'd in the same way as narrated by Malik, with the exception of these words:
" Abu Bakr lifted his hands and praised Allah and retraced his (steps) till he stood in a row."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي حَازِمٍ - وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقَارِيُّ - كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ مَالِكٍ . وَفِي حَدِيثِهِمَا فَرَفَعَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَدَيْهِ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَرَجَعَ الْقَهْقَرَى وَرَاءَهُ حَتَّى قَامَ فِي الصَّفِّ .

Abu Huraira reported:
I offered with the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) the noon prayer and the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) gave salutation after two rak'ahs. A person from Bani Sulaim stood up, and the rest of the hadith was narrated as mentioned above.
وَحَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ بَيْنَا أَنَا أُصَلِّي، مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَةَ الظُّهْرِ سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ . وَاقْتَصَّ الْحَدِيثَ .

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
When any one amongst you observes prayer after Jumu'a, he should observe four rak'ahs. (In the hadith transmitted by Jarir the word minkum is not recorded.)
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَنْ كَانَ مِنْكُمْ مُصَلِّيًا بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَلْيُصَلِّ أَرْبَعًا " . وَلَيْسَ فِي حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ " مِنْكُمْ " .
