Anas bin Malik said:
"When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would go to the toilet, I and another boy like me would bring a small leather vessel of water and he would clean himself with water."
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا النَّضْرُ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا دَخَلَ الْخَلاَءَ أَحْمِلُ أَنَا وَغُلاَمٌ مَعِي نَحْوِي إِدَاوَةً مِنْ مَاءٍ فَيَسْتَنْجِي بِالْمَاءِ .

It was narrated from 'A'ish bin Anas that 'Ali said:
"I was a man who had a lot of prostatic discharge, so I told 'Ammar bin Yasir to ask the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) (about it) because his daughter was married to me. He said: 'Wudu' is sufficient for that.'"

Anas (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Ansar felt reluctant that they should circumambulate between al-Safa' and al-Marwa until it was revealed:
" Verily al-Safa' and al-Marwa are among the Signs of Allah" ; so whoever performs Hajj or 'Umra, for him there is no harm that he should circumambulate between them.

Anas b. Malik reported that there was brought to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) a cup of milk mixed with water, while there was on his right a desert Arab and on his left Abu Bakr. He (the Holy Prophet) drank; he then gave it to the desert Arab and said:
(Give to one) who is on the right, then again who is on the right.

Neither nurse mutual hatred, nor jealousy, nor enmity, and become as fellow brothers and servants of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim that he should keep his relations estranged with his brother beyond three days.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) visited a person from amongst his Companions who had grown as feeble as the chicken. The rest of the hadith is the same, but with this variation that he (the Holy Prophet) said:
You have not power enough to undergo the torment imposed by Allah. And there is no mention of: He supplicated Allah for him and He cured him.
وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّعليه وسلم دَخَلَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ يَعُودُهُ وَقَدْ صَارَ كَالْفَرْخِ
. بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ حُمَيْدٍ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
" لاَ طَاقَةَ لَكَ بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ " . وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فَدَعَا اللَّهَ لَهُ
فَشَفَاهُ .

On the day of the battle of the Trench (i.e. Ghazwat-ul-Khandaq) the Ansar used to say, "We are those who have given the pledge of allegiance to Muhammad for Jihad (i.e. holy fighting) as long as we live." The Prophet , replied to them, "O Allah! There is no life except the life of the Hereafter; so please honor the Ansar and the Emigrants."

Anas b. Malik reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying:
Do not hate each other; do not envy each other; do not desert each other; and be the servants of Allah as brethren. It is not allowed for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days.

Sunan Abi Dawud 276
Sulaiman b. Yasar reported on the authority of a person from the Ansar; There was a woman who had an issue of blood. He then narrated the rest of the tradition like that of al-Laith. He said; when the period of menstruation is over and the time of prayer arrives, she should take a bath. He narrated the tradition conveying the same meaning.

" فَإِذَا خَلَّفَتْهُنَّ وَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَاهُ .

Humaid reported :
I asked Thabit al-Bunani whether it was permissible for a man to talk after the qamah had been pronounced. He narrated a tradition on the authority of Anas: (once) the Iqamah was pronounced, and a person came to the apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and detained him after the Iqamah had been pronounced.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) gave license to 'Abd al-Rahman b. 'Awf and al-Zubair b. al-'Awwam to wear silk shirts during a journey because of an itch which they had.

Mujahid said:
'Umra' means that a man says to another man: It belongs to you so long as you live. When he says that, it belongs to him and to his heirs. Ruqba means that a man says to another: From me and from you.

Anas said (explaining the meaning) of the following Qur'anic verse "They used to sleep but little of the night" (51:17):
They (the people) used to pray between the Maghrib and 'Isha. The version of Yahya adds: The verse tatajafa junubuhum also means so.

Rabi'ah said:
Umm Habibah daughter of Jahsh had a prolonged flow of blood. The Prophet (saws) commander her to refrain (from prayer) during her menstrual period; then she should wash and pray. If she sees anything (which renders ablution void) she should perform ablution and pray.
Abu Dawud said: This is the view held by Malik b. Anas.

(the angels) came to me and took me to the Zamzam and my heart was opened and washed with the water of Zamzam and then I was left (at my place).

The Messenger of Allah (saws) had himself cupped on the surface of his foot because of a pain in it while he was in the sacred state (wearing ihram).
Abu Dawud said: I heard Ahmad say: "Ibn Abi 'Arubah narrated it in Mursal form". Meaning from Qatadah.

The martyrs of Uhud were not washed, and they were buried with their blood. No prayer was offered over them.

Al-Hajjaj ibn Hassan said: We entered upon Anas ibn Malik. My sister al-Mughirah said: You were a boy in those days and you had two locks of hair. He (Anas) rubbed your head and invoked blessing on you. He said: Shave them (i.e. the locks) or clip them, for this is the fashion of the Jews.

Mishkat al-Masabih 2665
‘Abd al-‘AzIz b. Rufai' said he asked Anas b. Malik to tell him something he knew about God's messenger, viz. where he prayed the noon prayer on yaum at-tarwiya, and he replied that it was in Mina. He asked where he had prayed the afternoon prayer on yaum an-nafr,( There are two days with this name, the first being the 12th of Dhul Hijja and the second the following day. The second of these is said to be the one referred to here) and he replied that it was in al-Abtah.(The part of the wadi of Mecca with small pebbles) He then said, “Do as your commanders do.”

Anas said, “God's Messenger used to break his fast during a month so that we imagined he had not fasted during it at all, and he fasted so that we imagined he had not broken it. You did not wish to see him praying during the night without doing so, or sleeping without doing so.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 1317
Mu'adh b. Anas al-Juhani reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone sits in his place of prayer when he finishes the Morning Prayer till he prays the two rak'as of the forenoon, saying nothing but what is good, his sins will be forgiven him even if they are more than the foam of the sea.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَن معَاذ بن أنس الْجُهَنِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ قَعَدَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى يُسَبِّحَ رَكْعَتَيِ الضُّحَى لَا يَقُولُ إِلَّا خَيْرًا غُفِرَ لَهُ خَطَايَاهُ وَإِنْ كَانَتْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 1450
Abu ‘Umair b. Anas told on the authority of some of his paternal uncles who were companions of the Prophet that some men came riding to the Prophet and testified that they had seen the new moon the previous day. He therefore commanded the people to break the fast and go out to their place of prayer in the morning.
Abu Dawud and Nasa’i transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي عُمَيْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ عُمُومَةٍ لَهُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّ رَكْبًا جَاءُوا إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّهُمْ رَأَوُا الْهِلَالَ بالْأَمْس ن فَأَمرهمْ أَن يفطروا وَإِذا أَصْبحُوا أَن يَغْدُو إِلَى مصلاهم. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد وَالنَّسَائِيّ

وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ خَيَّاطًا دَعَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِطَعَامٍ صَنَعَهُ فَذَهَبْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَرَّبَ خُبْزَ شَعِيرٍ وَمَرَقًا فِيهِ دُبَّاءُ وَقَدِيدٌ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَتَبَّعُ الدُّبَّاءَ مِنْ حَوَالَيِ الْقَصْعَةِ فَلَمْ أَزَلْ أُحِبُّ الدباءَ بعد يومِئذٍ

Mishkat al-Masabih 4617
Anas reported God’s messenger as saying:
“One night it seemed to me in a dream that I was in the house of ‘Uqba b. Rafi' and was brought some of the fresh dates of Ibn Tab*. I interpreted it as meaning that to us is granted eminence (rif’a) in this world, a blessed hereafter (al- ‘aqiba) in the next, and that our religion has been good (tab)."**
Muslim transmitted it.
* While some suggest that Ibn Tab was a man who lived either in the desert or in Medina who had dates, the correct explanation is more likely that this is the name of a type of Medina dates and not a man’s name.
** A good omen is taken from the basic meanings of the parts of these names.

Hudhaifa said:
I swear by God that I do not know whether my companions have forgotten or have pretended to forget. Anas told that he heard God's messenger say, "Among the signs of the last hour will be the removal of knowledge, the abundance of ignorance, the prevalence of fornication, the prevalence of wine-drinking, the small number of men and the large number of women, so that fifty women will have one man to look after them." A version has "the small amount of knowledge and the presence of ignorance."

Anas reported God's messenger as saying, "Four men will be taken out of hell and presented before God. Command will then be given that they should be sent to hell, but one of them will turn and say, 0 my Lord, I was hoping that when Thou tookest me out of it Thou wouldest not send me back into it.' ' God will then save him from it."

a cooler time of the day. When it was cold, he made the prayer early."

Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (ra) stopped speaking when he heard a thunder-clap and said:
“Glory be to him whose praise the thunderclap sings and the angels glorify in awe of him”. He used to say, then, that the thunder-clap is a stern warning for the dwellers of earth.

Bulugh al-Maram 533
Anas (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said:
"None of you should wish for death due to any affliction, which might have affected him. But if he feels compelled to wish for it (due to extreme distress that he feels he cannot bear), he should say: “O Allah! Grant me life as long as life is better for me, and let me die when death is better for me.” Agreed upon.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ اَلْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ يَنْزِلُ بِهِ, فَإِنْ كَانَ لَا بُدَّ مُتَمَنِّيًا فَلْيَقُلْ: اَللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ اَلْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي, وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ اَلْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

Muslim transmitted part of this hadith on the authority of Anas bin Malik (RAA) which says, ‘ln case any of you comes to us we shall not send him back to you (i.e. one of the Muslims who goes back to Quraysh), and in case any of us came to you, you should send him back to us (any of the people of Quraysh who goes to the Prophet they will send him back to Makkah).’ The Companions asked the Prophet (P.B.U.H.),’O Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.)! Will you write this down?’ He replied, “Yes. May Allah send out of His Mercy any of the Muslims who goes back to them. But Allah will grant a way out for anyone who comes to us from them.”
وَأَخْرُجَ مُسْلِمٍ بَعْضِهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَنَسٍ, وَفِيهِ: { أَنَّ مَنْ جَاءَ مِنْكُمْ لَمْ نَرُدْهُ عَلَيْكُمْ, وَمَنْ جَاءَكُمْ مِنَّا رَدَدْتُمُوهُ عَلَيْنَا. فَقَالُوا: أَنَكْتُبُ هَذَا يَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهُ? قَالَ:
"نَعَمْ. إِنَّهُ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ مِنَّا إِلَيْهِمْ فَأَبْعَدَهُ اَللَّهُ, وَمَنْ جَاءَنَا مِنْهُمْ, فَسَيَجْعَلُ اَللَّهُ لَهُ فَرَجاً وَمُخْرِجاً" } 1 .

Anas bin Malik (RAA) narrated, "The first Li'an that took place in Islam was when Hilal bin Umaiyah accused his wife of having committed adultery with Shuraik bin Sahma.' Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to him, "Either you produce evidence (for your claim) or you will receive punishment on your back (i.e. flogged for your accusation of it is false." (refer to hadith no.1138). Related by Abu Ya'la with a trustworthy chain of narrators.
وَعَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { أَوَّلَ لِعَانٍ كَانَ فِي اَلْإِسْلَامِ أَنَّ شَرِيكَ بْنُ سَمْحَاءَ قَذَفَهُ هِلَالُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ بِاِمْرَأَتِهِ, فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -
"اَلْبَيِّنَةَ وَإِلَّا فَحَدٌّ فِي ظَهْرِكَ " } اَلْحَدِيثَ أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو يَعْلَي, وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ 1 .

Anas reported the Prophet as saying, 'If anyone recites two hundred times daily, ‘Say, He is God, One’, the sins of fifty years will be wiped out, unless he is in debt.”
Tirmidhī and Dārimī transmitted it. The latter’s version has “fifty times”, and he did not mention “unless he is in debt.”
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ قَرَأَ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ مِائَتَيْ مَرَّةٍ (قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ)

Anas said that God’s Messenger offered for sale a saddle-cloth (woolen cloth placed on a camel under the pack-saddle), and a drinking-vessel, saying, “Who will buy this saddle-cloth and drinking- vessel?” A man offered to take them for a dirham and the Prophet asked whether anyone would give more. A man offered him two dirhams and he sold them to him.
Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَاعَ حِلْسًا وَقَدَحًا فَقَالَ: «مَنْ يَشْتَرِي هَذَا الحلس والقدح؟» فَقَالَ رجل: آخذهما بِدِرْهَمٍ. فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ يَزِيدُ عَلَى دِرْهَمٍ؟» فَأَعْطَاهُ رَجُلٌ دِرْهَمَيْنِ فَبَاعَهُمَا مِنْهُ. رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ

Anas b. Malik reported the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) having said:
When I begin the prayer I Intend to make it long, but I hear a boy cry. ing; I then shorten it because of his mother's feelings.

Sunan Ibn Majah 2965
It was
narrated from ‘Aishah the Mother of the Believers that the
Messenger of Allah (saw) performed Hajj Ifrad.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ - وَكَانَ يَتِيمًا فِي حِجْرِ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ - عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ .
