Sahih al-Bukhari 980
Narrated Aiyub:
Hafsa bint Seereen said, "On Id we used to forbid our girls to go out for `Id prayer. A lady came and stayed at the palace of Bani Khalaf and I went to her. She said, 'The husband of my sister took part in twelve holy battles along with the Prophet and my sister was with her husband in six of them. My sister said that they used to nurse the sick and treat the wounded. Once she asked, 'O Allah's Apostle! If a woman has no veil, is there any harm if she does not come out (on `Id day)?' The Prophet said, 'Her companion should let her share her veil with her, and the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers.' " Hafsa added, "When Um-`Atiya came, I went to her and asked her, 'Did you hear anything about so-and-so?' Um-`Atiya said, 'Yes, let my father be sacrificed for the Prophet (p.b.u.h). (And whenever she mentioned the name of the Prophet she always used to say, 'Let my father be' sacrificed for him). He said, 'Virgin mature girls staying often screened (or said, 'Mature girls and virgins staying often screened--Aiyub is not sure as which was right) and menstruating women should come out (on the `Id day). But the menstruating women should keep away from the Musalla. And all the women should participate in the good deeds and in the religious gatherings of the believers'." Hafsa said, "On that I said to Um-`Atiya, 'Also those who are menstruating?' " Um-`Atiya replied, "Yes. Do they not present themselves at `Arafat and elsewhere?".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَتْ كُنَّا نَمْنَعُ جَوَارِيَنَا أَنْ يَخْرُجْنَ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ، فَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ فَنَزَلَتْ قَصْرَ بَنِي خَلَفٍ فَأَتَيْتُهَا فَحَدَّثَتْ أَنَّ زَوْجَ أُخْتِهَا غَزَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ غَزْوَةً فَكَانَتْ أُخْتُهَا مَعَهُ فِي سِتِّ غَزَوَاتٍ. فَقَالَتْ فَكُنَّا نَقُومُ عَلَى الْمَرْضَى وَنُدَاوِي الْكَلْمَى، فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، عَلَى إِحْدَانَا بَأْسٌ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ أَنْ لاَ تَخْرُجَ فَقَالَ " لِتُلْبِسْهَا صَاحِبَتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا فَلْيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ". قَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَلَمَّا قَدِمَتْ أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ أَتَيْتُهَا، فَسَأَلْتُهَا أَسَمِعْتِ فِي كَذَا وَكَذَا قَالَتْ نَعَمْ، بِأَبِي ـ وَقَلَّمَا ذَكَرَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلاَّ قَالَتْ بِأَبِي ـ قَالَ " لِيَخْرُجِ الْعَوَاتِقُ ذَوَاتُ الْخُدُورِ ـ أَوْ قَالَ الْعَوَاتِقُ وَذَوَاتُ الْخُدُورِ شَكَّ أَيُّوبُ ـ وَالْحُيَّضُ، وَيَعْتَزِلُ الْحُيَّضُ الْمُصَلَّى، وَلْيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ". قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا آلْحُيَّضُ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ، أَلَيْسَ الْحَائِضُ تَشْهَدُ عَرَفَاتٍ وَتَشْهَدُ كَذَا وَتَشْهَدُ كَذَا

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 980
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "You will not enter the Garden until you believe
and you will not believe until you love one another. Shall I tell you something
the doing of which will give you love of one another?" "Yes, Messenger
of Allah," they replied. The Prophet said, "Make the greeting common practice
among you."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، وَالْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: لاَ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا، وَلاَ تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا، أَلاَ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا تَحَابُّونَ بِهِ؟ قَالُوا: بَلَى، يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَفْشُوا السَّلامَ بَيْنَكُمْ.

Abu Dawud has a narration from Abu Hurairah (RA):
He asked, "What have you memorized?" He replied, "Surat al-Baqarah and the one that follows it." He then said. "Get up and teach her twenty Verses."

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
No Sadaqa is payable on less than five fiqiyas of silver, and on less than five heads of camels, and less than five wasqs of dates.

" لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ مِنَ الْوَرِقِ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ مِنَ الإِبِلِ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ مِنَ التَّمْرِ صَدَقَةٌ " .

Abu
Mas’ud said:
“The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: ‘The people
should be lead by the one who is most well-Versed in recitation of
the
Book of Allah. If they are equal in recitation, then they should
be
led by the one who emigrated first. If they are equal in
emigration,
then they should be led by the eldest. A man should not
be led among
his family or in his place of authority; no one should
be sat in his
place of honor in his house without permission, or
without his
permission.’”

" يَؤُمُّ الْقَوْمَ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ لِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ، فَإِنْ كَانَتْ قِرَاءَتُهُمْ سَوَاءً، فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَقْدَمُهُمْ هِجْرَةً، فَإِنْ كَانَتِ الْهِجْرَةُ سَوَاءً، فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَكْبَرُهُمْ سِنًّا، وَلاَ يُؤَمَّ الرَّجُلُ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَلاَ فِي سُلْطَانِهِ، وَلاَ يُجْلَسْ عَلَى تَكْرِمَتِهِ فِي بَيْتِهِ، إِلاَّ بِإِذْنٍ، أَوْ بِإِذْنِهِ " .

Musnad Ahmad 980
It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it, the one who writes it down, the one who withholds zakah, the woman who does tattoos and the woman who gets tattoos done, the one who marries a woman and divorces her so that she becomes permissible for her first husband, and the one for whom that is done. He said: And he used to forbid wailing (for the deceased).
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، عَنْ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَعَنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آكِلَ الرِّبَا وَمُطْعِمَهُ وَشَاهِدَيْهِ وَكَاتِبَهُ وَمَانِعَ الصَّدَقَةِ وَالْوَاشِمَةَ وَالْمُسْتَوْشِمَةَ وَالْحَالَّ وَالْمُحَلَّلَ لَهُ قَالَ وَكَانَ يَنْهَى عَنْ النَّوْحِ.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 980
It was narrated that Jabir bin Samurah said:
"The Prophet (SAW) used to recite "By the night as it envelops" in Zuhr and something similar in 'Asr, and he would recite something longer than that in subh."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that al-Qasim ibn Muhammad said that he had heard a man asking ibn Abbas about booty. Ibn Abbas said, "Horses are part of the booty and personal effects are as well."
Then the man repeated his question, and Ibn Abbas repeated his answer. Then the man said, "What are the spoils which He, the Blessed, the Exalted, mentioned in His Book?" He kept on asking until Ibn Abbas was on the verge of being annoyed, then Ibn Abbas said, "Do you know who this man is like? Ibn Sabigh, who was beaten by Umar ibn al-Khattab because he was notorious for asking foolish questions."
Yahya said that Malik was asked whether someone who killed one of the enemy could keep the man's effects without the permission of the Imam. He said, "No one can do that without the permission of the Imam. Only the Imam can make ijtihad. I have not heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, ever said, 'Whoever kills someone can have his effects,' on any other day than the day of Hunayn."

وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلاً، يَسْأَلُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ الأَنْفَالِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ الْفَرَسُ مِنَ النَّفَلِ وَالسَّلَبُ مِنَ النَّفَلِ . قَالَ ثُمَّ عَادَ الرَّجُلُ لِمَسْأَلَتِهِ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ذَلِكَ أَيْضًا ثُمَّ قَالَ الرَّجُلُ الأَنْفَالُ الَّتِي قَالَ اللَّهُ فِي كِتَابِهِ مَا هِيَ قَالَ الْقَاسِمُ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَسْأَلُهُ حَتَّى كَادَ أَنْ يُحْرِجَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَتَدْرُونَ مَا مَثَلُ هَذَا مَثَلُ صَبِيغٍ الَّذِي ضَرَبَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ . قَالَ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَمَّنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلاً مِنَ الْعَدُوِّ أَيَكُونُ لَهُ سَلَبُهُ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ الإِمَامِ قَالَ لاَ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ لأَحَدٍ بِغَيْرِ إِذْنِ الإِمَامِ وَلاَ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الإِمَامِ إِلاَّ عَلَى وَجْهِ الاِجْتِهَادِ وَلَمْ يَبْلُغْنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ قَتَلَ قَتِيلاً فَلَهُ سَلَبُهُ " . إِلاَّ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ .

[Alqamah narrated:
"I heard Abdullah saying: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah saying: "The believer's soul seeps out, and I do not like the death like that of a donkey." They said: "And what is the death of a donkey?" He said: "A sudden death."]
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَامُ بْنُ الْمِصَكِّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " إِنَّ نَفْسَ الْمُؤْمِنِ تَخْرُجُ رَشْحًا وَلاَ أُحِبُّ مَوْتًا كَمَوْتِ الْحِمَارِ " . قِيلَ وَمَا مَوْتُ الْحِمَارِ قَالَ " مَوْتُ الْفَجْأَةِ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 980
Abu Mas’ud al-Ansari said:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) came to us in a meeting of Sa’d b. ‘Ubadah. Bashir b. Sa’d said to him: Allah has commanded us to invoke blessings on you, Messenger of Allah. How should we invoke blessings on you? The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) kept silence so much so that we wished he would not ask him. Then the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Say. He then narrated the tradition like that of Ka’b b. ‘Ujrah. This version adds in the end: In the universe, Thou art praiseworthy and glorious.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُجْمِرِ، أَنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، - وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ هُوَ الَّذِي أُرِيَ النِّدَاءَ بِالصَّلاَةِ - أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَتَانَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي مَجْلِسِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَشِيرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ أَمَرَنَا اللَّهُ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ فَسَكَتَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْنَا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْأَلْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " قُولُوا " . فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَى حَدِيثِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ زَادَ فِي آخِرِهِ " فِي الْعَالَمِينَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ " .

Hisn al-Muslim 217
From every elevated point say
Allāhu Akbar (three times),
and then recite:
Lā ilāha illallāh
waḥdahu lā sharīka lah,
lahu ‘l-mulku, walahu ‘l-ḥamd,
wa Huwa `alā kulli shay'in Qadīr,
ā'ibūna, tā'ibūna,`ābidūn,
li Rabbinā ḥāmidūn,
sadaqallāhu wa`dah,
wa nasara `abdah,
wa hazama ‘l-'aḥzāba waḥdah.
From every elevated point say Allāhu Akbar (Allah is the Most Great) three times and then recite:
None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone,
Who has no partner.
His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is Able to do all things.
We return repentant to our Lord, worshipping our Lord,
and praising our Lord.
He fulfilled His Promise,
He aided His slave,
and He alone defeated the Confederates.

يُكَبِّرُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ ثَلاَثَ تَكْبِيرَاتٍ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ:
لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ
وَحْدَهُ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ،
لَهُ الْمُلْكُ، وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ،
وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ،
آيِبُونَ، تَائِبُونَ، عَابِدُونَ،
لِرَبِّنا حَامِدُونَ،
صَدَقَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ،
وَنَصَرَ عَبْدَهُ،
وَهَزَمَ الْأَحْزابَ وَحْدَهُ

I saw Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) reciting Sūrat-al-Fatḥ on his she-camel on the day of the Conquest of Mecca.

In a similar report, Abdullah bin Mughaffal said: I saw the Prophet (ﷺ) reciting (Qur'an) while he was riding on his she camel or camel which was moving, carrying him. He was reciting Sūrat Fatḥ or part of Sūrat Fatḥ very softly and in an attractive, moving tone.

‘A'isha reported God’s messenger as saying, “The tooth-stick is a means of purifying the mouth, and is pleasing to the Lord.”

Abu Hurairah (May allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Look at those who are inferior to you and do not look at those who are superior to you, for this will keep you from belittling Allah's favour to you."

Mishkat al-Masabih 5617
`Ubada b. as-Samit reported God's messenger as saying, "In paradise there are a hundred stages between each two of which there is a distance like that between heaven and earth. Al-Firdaus from which issue the four rivers of paradise is the highest of them, and above it is the Throne; so, when you make request from God ask Him for al-Firdaus."
Tirmidhi transmitted it. I have not found it in the two Sahihs or al-Humaidi's book[*].
*In Masabih as-sunna the source of each individual tradition is not given but those in section 1 are all called sahih and come from Bukhari or Muslim, or from both. One therefore does not expect to find a tradition from Tirmidhi in section 1. It occurs in his collection in Sifat al janna, 4. In Masabih as-sunna it does not say that this tradition comes from 'Ubada, but the Mishkat is correct in attributing it to him. There is one like it from Abu Huraira in Bukhari, jihad, 4, but the wording is not identical.

Mishkat al-Masabih 819
Abu Huraira said that when God's Messenger got up after the second rak'a he began the recitation with, “Praise be to God, the Lord of the universe,” without observing a period of silence.
It is given thus in Muslim’s Sahih. Al-Humaidi mentioned it among those given by Muslim but not by Bukhari, as did the author of al-Jami' (Ibn Al-Athir) from Muslim alone.

Narrated Salim on the authority if his father:
Ghailan bin Salamah accepted Islam and he had ten wives who accepted Islam along with him. So, the Prophet (SAW) commanded him to, "Choose four of them."

A’isha (RA) reported that whenever the Prophet ﷺ became sick, he would recite the Mu’awwidhāt (Sūrat Al-Falaq and Sūrat An-Nās) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two suwar) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.

Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The food of Walima on the first day is a duty, that on the second day is a Sunnah, while the third is showing off. Whoever (does something) to show-off, Allah will expose him (in the Hereafter)."

Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudrī, “A man heard another man reciting (Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ) ‘Say He is Allah, (the) One.’ repeatedly. The next morning, he came to Allah’s Messenger ﷺ and informed him about it as if he thought that it was not enough to recite. On that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, “By Him in Whose Hand my life is, this Sūrah is equal to one-third of the Qur’an!”

Narrated Hakim bin Mu'awiyah on the authority of his father (RA):
I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the rights of a wife of one of us on her husband?" He replied, "You should give her food when you eat, clothe her when you clothe yourself, not strike her on the face, and do not revile her or desert her except within the house."
[Reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah, al-Bukhari mentioned part of it [the last sentence] as Mu'allaq (a broken chain from the side of the collector, i.e. al-Bukhari), Ibn Hibban and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin Samura (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "When you swear an oath and then consider something else to be better than it, make atonement for your oath and do the thing that is better." [Agreed upon]. A wording of al-Bukhari has: "Do the thing that is better and make atonement for your oath."
In a narration by Abu Dawud: "Make atonement for your oath, then do the thing that is better." [The chains of narrators of both Ahadith are Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ وَإِذَا حَلَفْتَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ, فَرَأَيْتُ غَيْرَهَا خَيْراً مِنْهَا, فَكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ, وَائْتِ اَلَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ" } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . وَفِي لَفْظٍ لِلْبُخَارِيِّ: { " فَائِت اَلَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ, وَكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ" } 2 .

Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "No descendant of Adam may make a vow concerning something he does not possess, or set free (a slave) that he does not possess, or divorce (a woman) whom he does not possess (in marriage)."
[Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported it; the latter graded it Sahih (authentic), and transmitted from al-Bukhari his statement that it is the most authentic Hadith on this subject].

Al-Barā' reported:
A man was reciting Sūrat Al-Kahf and his horse was tied with two ropes beside him. A cloud came down and spread over that man, and it kept on coming closer and closer to him till his horse started jumping (as if afraid of something). When it was morning, the man came to the Prophet, and told him of that experience. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "That was tranquility which descended because of (the recitation of) the Qur'an."

Special Virtues of the Qur'an's Chapters and Verses 86
It was narrated from ʿĀ’ishah that when the Prophet ﷺ went to bed every night, he would hold his hands together and blow into them, and recite into them (by cupping his hands together) the last three chapters of the Qur'ān. Then he would wipe them over whatever he could of his body, starting with his head and face and the front of his body, and he would do that three times.

He said that Mu’adh would pray the evening prayer along with the Prophet, then return to his people and lead them in the evening prayer, it being a supererogatory prayer for him…* transmitted it.
* The source is not mentioned. In al-Masabih, where the division of the chapters is into traditions which are sahih and traditions which are hasan, the collection of Tradition from which they are taken is not mentioned, but all those in section I are meant to be taken from Bukhari, or Muslim, or both. I have failed to find this one anywhere. The concordance does not seem to refer to it.

Mishkat al-Masabih 3457, 3458
Abu Shuraih al-Ka'bi reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Then you, Khuza’a, have killed this man of Hudhail, but I swear by God that I will pay his blood wit. If anyone kills a man hereafter his people will have a choice, to kill him if they wish, or to accept blood wit if they wish."
Tirmidhi and Shafi‘i transmitted it. It occurs in Sharh as-sunna with his isnad, but it states clearly that it does not occur in the two Sahihs on the authority of Abu Shuraih, saying that they rendered it from Abu Huraira’s version, meaning something similar.*
*In Masabih as-sunna the tradition is given among the sound ones without any reference to its source. Here Sharh as-sunna is quoted to the effect that the above tradition is not given by Bukhari or Muslim, but that they give something similar on Abu Huraira’s authority. Section 1 is normally confined to traditions from Bukhari or Muslim, or from both, so it is strange to find that a tradition from another source is here preferred to theirs.
وَعَن أبي شُرَيحٍ الكعبيِّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:

Abdullah b. Masʿūd (RA) reported that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever reads the last two verses from Sūrat al-Baqarah at night, they will be sufficient for him.”

Regarding the word ‘sufficient’ in the hadith, Imam al-Nawawi (RA) says: It was said (by scholars) that it means it will suffice him from the night prayer, and others said it means as a protection against the devils, and yet others said it means protection against harmful animals, and it is likely encompassing of all these things (and more).”
Ibn Ḥajar states: “[It] was explicitly reported by ʿĀsim from ʿAlqamah from Ibn Masʿūd, “Whoever recites (the two verses at) the end of Sūrat al-Baqarah, it will be sufficient for him instead of standing in prayer for one night.”

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1594
Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah :
"We did not pledge to the Messenger of Allah (saws) for death, but only that we would not flee."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, meaning both of the Ahadith are Sahih. Some of his Companions pledged to him for death, they said only: "We will not leave from in front of you as long as we are not killed." While others pledged him by saying: "We will not flee."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ لَمْ نُبَايِعْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الْمَوْتِ إِنَّمَا بَايَعْنَاهُ عَلَى أَنْ لاَ نَفِرَّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَمَعْنَى كِلاَ الْحَدِيثَيْنِ صَحِيحٌ قَدْ بَايَعَهُ قَوْمٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ وَإِنَّمَا قَالُوا لاَ نَزَالُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ حَتَّى نُقْتَلَ وَبَايَعَهُ آخَرُونَ فَقَالُوا لاَ نَفِرُّ .

Mishkat al-Masabih 4619
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying:
“While I was asleep I was brought the treasures of the earth, and two bracelets of gold which were placed in my hands weighed upon me. Then it was revealed to me that I should blow on them, and when I did so they departed. I interpreted them as representing the two liars between whom I am placed, the one in San'a' and the one in al-Yamama.”
(Bukhari and Muslim.)
A version says that one of them was Musailima,* the man in al-Yamama, and the other al-‘Ansi,** the man in San'a’. I (the translator) have not found this version in the two Sahihs, but the author of the Jami' mentioned it on Tirmidhi’s authority.
* He set himself up as a prophet.
** Al-Aswad al-'Ansi who attacked al-Muhajir b. Abu Umayya b. Al-Mughira, the Prophet’s agent sent to San'a' to collect sadaqat. He caused a considerable insurrection in the south.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بَيْنَا أَنَا نَائِمٌ بِخَزَائِنِ الْأَرْضِ فَوُضِعَ فِي كَفَّيَّ سِوَارَانِ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَكَبُرَا عَلَيَّ فَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ أَنِ انْفُخْهُمَا فَنَفَخْتُهُمَا فَذَهَبَا فَأَوَّلْتُهُمَا الْكَذَّابَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ أَنَا بَيْنَهُمَا صَاحِبَ صَنْعَاءَ وَصَاحِبَ الْيَمَامَةِ» . مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: «يُقَالُ لِأَحَدِهِمَا مُسَيْلِمَةُ صَاحِبُ الْيَمَامَةِ وَالْعَنْسِيُّ صَاحِبُ صَنْعَاءَ» لَمْ أَجِدْ هَذِهِ الرِّوَايَةَ فِي (الصَّحِيحَيْنِ)

Special Virtues of the Qur'an's Chapters and Verses 12
Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported:
Allah’s Messenger ﷺ ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramaḍān. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the provisions. I caught him and said, "I will take you to Allah’s Messenger!"
Then Abu Hurayrah described the whole incident and said: That person said (to me), "Please don’t take me to Allah’s Messenger and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you. When you go to your bed, recite Āyat al-Kursī, for then there will be (with you) a guardian from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn." When the Prophet ﷺ heard about the incident he said (to me), "He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; it was a devil."

" صَدَقَكَ وَهْوَ كَذُوبٌ ذَاكَ شَيْطَانٌ ".
Sunan an-Nasa'i 2661
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar:
That the Messenger of Allah stopped in the valley that is in Dhul-Hulaifah and prayed there. (sahih)

Narrated 'Amr bin 'Auf al-Muzani (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Reconciliation is permissible between Muslims, except one which makes unlawful something which is lawful, or makes lawful something which is unlawful; and Muslims must abide by their conditions (which they have made), except for a condition which makes unlawful something which is lawful, or makes lawful something which is unlawful."
[at-Tirmidhi reported it and graded it Sahih (authentic)]. However, the Hadith scholars criticized him (for grading this Hadith as Sahih) because the narration of Kathir bin 'Abdullah bin 'Amr bin 'Auf is weak. It is as though at-Tirmidhi considered it (reliable) due to its many chains of narration. Ibn Hibban declared the aforesaid Hadith to be Sahih (authentic) from the narration of Abu Hurairah (RA).
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ اَلْمُزَنِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { اَلصُّلْحُ جَائِزٌ بَيْنَ اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ, إِلَّا صُلْحاً حَرَّمَ حَلَالاً وَ 1 أَحَلَّ حَرَاماً، وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَى شُرُوطِهِمْ, إِلَّا شَرْطاً حَرَّمَ حَلَالاً وَ 2 أَحَلَّ حَرَاماً } رَوَاهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَصَحَّحَهُ 3 . وَأَنْكَرُوا عَلَيْهِ; 4 . لِأَنَّ رَاوِيَهُ كَثِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِوِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ضَعِيفٌ 5 .
وَكَأَنَّهُ اِعْتَبَرَهُ بِكَثْرَةِ طُرُقِهِ 6 .
وَقَدْ صَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّانَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ 7 .

Ibn Umar (ra) said: Allah's Messenger (saws) used to repeat in a single sitting:
My Lord, forgive me,
and accept my repentance,
You are the Ever-Relenting, the All-Forgiving.

Special Virtues of the Qur'an's Chapters and Verses 1
Abu Sa’id bin al-Mu’alla (RA) reported, “I was praying when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me and called me. I didn’t come to him until I finished praying. Then I came to him and he said, “What prevented you from coming? Didn’t Allah say, ‘O you who believe, respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you’?” Then he said, “I shall teach you the greatest sūrah in the Qur’an before I leave.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ started to leave so I reminded him of it.” Mu’āth said, “Shu’bah narrated this to us from Khubayb, who heard from Hafs, who heard from Abu Sa’id, a man from the companions of the Prophet ﷺ, and he said, “It is ‘Alhamdu lillāhi Rabbil ‘Ālameen (i.e., Sūrah Al-Fātiḥah) which is As-Sab’ Al-Mathāni (i.e., the seven oft-repeated āyāt).”

" مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَ أَلَمْ يَقُلِ اللَّهُ (يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ) ثُمَّ قَالَ لأُعَلِّمَنَّكَ أَعْظَمَ سُورَةٍ فِي الْقُرْآنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَخْرُجَ ". فَذَهَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِيَخْرُجَ فَذَكَرْتُ لَهُ. وَقَالَ مُعَاذٌ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خُبَيْبٍ، سَمِعَ حَفْصًا، سَمِعَ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ، رَجُلاً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِهَذَا، وَقَالَ هِيَ (الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ) السَّبْعُ الْمَثَانِي.

Narrated Aby Hurairah (RA):

[Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported it. Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2961
Narrated Abu Sa'eed:
that about Allah's saying: Thus we have made you a Wasata nation (2:143) - the Prophet (SAW) said: "The meaning of Wasata is just."
[Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is [Hasan] Sahih.
(Another chain) From Abu Sa'eed who narrated that: "The Messenger of Allah a said: 'Nuh will be called and it will be said: "Did you deliver (the Message)? "He will say: "Yes" and his people will be called and it will be said: "Did he call you?" They will say: "No warner came to us. No one came to us.' It will be said: "Who will testify for you?" So it is said: "Muhammad and his Ummah (community)." He (SAW) said: You will be brought to testify that he delivered (the Message) and that is His saying: Thus, we have made you a Wasata nation that you will be witnesses over mankind and the Messenger (Muhammad) will be a witness over you.' And Al-Wasat is "Just." (Sahih)
Abu 'Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يُدْعَى نُوحٌ فَيُقَالُ هَلْ بَلَّغْتَ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ . فَيُدْعَى قَوْمُهُ فَيُقَالُ هَلْ بَلَّغَكُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَا أَتَانَا مِنْ نَذِيرٍ وَمَا أَتَانَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ . فَيَقُولُ مَنْ شُهُودُكَ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ . قَالَ فَيُؤْتَى بِكُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ بَلَّغَ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ : ( وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَاكُمْ أُمَّةً وَسَطًا لِتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ عَلَيْكُمْ شَهِيدًا ) وَالْوَسَطُ الْعَدْلُ .
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، نَحْوَهُ .
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " يُدْعَى نُوحٌ فَيُقَالُ هَلْ بَلَّغْتَ فَيَقُولُ نَعَمْ . فَيُدْعَى قَوْمُهُ فَيُقَالُ هَلْ بَلَّغَكُمْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَا أَتَانَا مِنْ نَذِيرٍ وَمَا أَتَانَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ . فَيَقُولُ مَنْ شُهُودُكَ فَيَقُولُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَأُمَّتُهُ . قَالَ فَيُؤْتَى بِكُمْ تَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ بَلَّغَ فَذَلِكَ قَوْلُ اللَّهِ :

The Prophet is reported to have said, “The prayer is not valid for the one who does not recite the Fātiḥah (opening chapter) of the Book.”

It was narrated from Anas that :
the Prophet (SAW) bought Safiyyah for seven slaves. (Sahih) (One of the narrators) 'Abdur-Rahman said: "From Dihyah Kalbi.'
