said: "Al-Hasan is greater in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) with regards to what is between the chest and the head, and Al-Husain is greater in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (SAW) with regards to what is below that."

I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "He who insults the rulers Allah will insult him."

[At-Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan].

`We do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog.` And the dog belonging to al-Hasan was in the house.

Al-Hasan, on Samura’s authority, reported God's Messenger as saying, “If anyone gets possession of a relative who is within the prohibited degrees, that person becomes free.” Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

[Ibn ‘Abbas] reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God who is great and glorious will not look at a man who has intercourse with a man or a woman through the anus." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying; this is a hasan gharib tradition.

'A’isha reported the Prophet as saying, "Throwing pebbles at the jamras and running between as-Safa and al-Marwa were appointed only for the remembrance of God.” Tirmidhi and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih tradition.

‘Imran b. Husain said that the Prophet led them in prayer and forgot something, so he made two prostrations, then uttered the shahada, then gave the salutation. Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Wabisa b. Ma'bad said that God’s Messenger saw a man praying alone behind the row and ordered him to repeat the prayer. Ahmad Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan tradition.

In the time of God’s messenger we used to eat while walking and drink while standing. Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.

"My son died, and I felt very sad. I said to the one who was washing him: 'Do not wash my son with cold water and kill him." 'Ukashah bin Mihsan went to the Messenger of Allah and told him what she had said, and he smiled then said: "What did she say, may Allah give her long life?" And we do not know of any woman who lived as long as she lived.

"I said to Ayyub: 'Do you know anyone who said concerning the phrase 'It is up to you' that it is equivalent to three (divorces) except Al-Hasan?' He said: 'No.' Then he said: 'O Allah! Grant forgiveness, sorry.'" Qatadah narrated to me from Kathir the freed slave of Ibn Samurah, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet said: "Three." I met Kathir and asked him, and he did not know of it. I went back to Qatadah and told him, and he said: "He forgot."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we don know know of it except from the report of Ibn Abi Za'idah. And Abu Ya'qub Ath-Thaqafi's name is Ishaq bin Ibrahim. 'Ubaidullah bin Musa also reports from him.

Ibn Juraij said to me: O Hasan! Ubaidullah bin Abi Yazid informed me that Ibn Abbas said: "A man came to the Prophet and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I had a dream at night while I was sleeping in which I was praying behind a tree, when I prostrated the tree prostrated along with me. Then I heard it saying: (Allahummaktuh li biha indaka ajran, wad a anni biha wizran, waj'alha li biha indaka dhukhran, wa taqabbalha minni kama taqabbaltaha min abdiki Dawud.)" (O Allah! Record for me, a reward with You for it, remove a sin for me by it, and store it away for me with You, and accept it from me as You accepted it from Your worshipper Dawud). Al-Hasan said: "Ibn Juraij said to me: 'Your grandfather said to me: 'Ibn Abbas said: 'So the Prophet recited (an Ayah of) prostration then prostrated.'" (He said) "So Ibn Abbas said: 'I listened to him, and he was saying the same as the man informed that the tree had said.'"

That his father said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) say the Adhan in the ear of Al-Hasan bin 'Ali - when he was born to Fatimah - the Adhan of Salat."

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The martyr does not sense the touch of death except as one of you senses the touch of a (bug) bite.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The blessing of the horse is in its redness."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except from this route, from the narration of Shaiban.

That he heard the Prophet (saws) saying: "Seek your weak for me. For indeed you sustenance and aid is only by your weak."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said to 'Ali, Fatimah, Al-Hasan and Al-Husain: "I am at war with whoever makes war with you, and peace for whoever makes peace with you."

I heard the Prophet (PBUH) saying: "A mother's sister is equivalent to (real) mother (in status)".

[At-Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih]

`Uthman (رضي الله عنه) was killed in 35 AH and the fitnah (turmoil) lasted for five years including four months of al-Hasan`s rule.

He reported God's messenger as saying, “The black stone descended from paradise whiter than milk, but the sins of the descendants of Adam made it black." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a hasan sahih tradition.

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The martyr experiences no more pain in being killed than one of you experiences from a sting.” Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Al-Bara' told that he saw the Prophet with al-Hasan b. `Ali on his shoulder saying, "O God, I love him, so I beseech Thee to love him." Bukhari and Muslim.

"I said to Salamah bin Al-Akwa': "For what did you pledge to the Messenger of Allah (saws) on the Day of Al-Hudaibiyyah?" He said: "For death."

This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "There is no 'Adwa and no Tiyarah, and I like Fa'l." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! What is Fa'l?" He said: "A good statement."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

From his father that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The souls of the martyrs are in green birds, suspended from the fruit of Paradise, or the trees of Paradise."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "(All of you) worship Ar-Rahman, feed others, spread the (greeting of) Salam, then you will enter Paradise in security."

He said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

From Anas: "The Prophet (saws) prohibited that a man should drink while standing." (Qatadah said:) So it was said: "And eating ?" He (Anas) said: "That is worse."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

From his father, from his grandfather who said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (saws) drinking while standing and sitting."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

That the Prophet (saws) said: "The one providing water for people is the last of them to drink."

He said: There is something on this topic from Ibn Abi Awfa.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

"I saw the Prophet (SAW) placing Al-Hasan bin 'Ali upon his shoulder while saying: 'O Allah, I love him, so love him.'"

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Any woman dies while her husband is pleased with her, she will enter Jannah".

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not crave for property lest you should be absorbed in the desire of worldly life."

If he was in a room with the door closed, and he took off his garment to pour water on himself, shyness prevented him from standing up straight.

Anas told that the Prophet said, “Keep looking in the direction towards which you prostrate yourself, Anas.” Baihaqi transmitted it in [Kitab] as-sunan al-kabir through al-Hasan from Anas, tracing it back to the Prophet.

Anas said no one more closely resembled the Prophet than al-Hasan b. `Ali, and he said of al-Husain also that he was the one who bore the closest resemblance to God's messenger. Bukhari transmitted it.

He told that God's messenger said of `Ali, Fatima, al-Hasan and al-Husain, "I am war to him who makes war on them and peace to him who makes peace with them." Tirmidhi transmitted it.

"I said to Abu Ayyub: 'Do you know of anyone who said that: "Your case is up to you?" counts as three besides Al-Hasan?' He said: "No, not besides Al-Hasan.' Then he said: 'O Allah forgive me - except for what has been narrated to me by Qatadah, from Kathir the freed slave of Banu Samurah, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet said: "Three.'"Abu Ayyub said: 'So I met Kathir the freed slave of Banu Samurah and asked him about it, but he was not aware of it. So I returned to Qatadah and informed him about that and he said: "He forgot."

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited bartering animals on credit."

He said: There are narration on this topic from Ibn 'Abbas, Jabir, Ibn 'Umar.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] The Hadith of Samurah is Hasan Sahih Hadith. It is correct that Al-Hasan heard from Samurah, this is what 'Ali bin Al-Madini and others said.

Regarding (the prohibition of) bartering animals on credit, this is acted upon according to most of the people of knowledge among the Companions of the Prophet (saws) and others. This is the view of Sufyan Ath-Thawri and the people of Al-Kufah, and it is the view of Ahmad.

Some of the people of knowledge, among the Companions of the Prophet (saws) and others, permitted bartering animals for animals on credit. This is the view of Ash-Shafi'i and Ishaq.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) would eat snake cucumber with fresh dates.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib, we do not know of it except as a narration of Ibrahim bin Sa'd.

"The Prophet (saws) drank from Zamzam while he was standing."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from 'Ali, Sa'd, 'Abdullah bin 'Amr and 'Aishah.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, it has been reported by more than one from Ash-Sha'bi, from An-Nu'man bin Bashir.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) judged: "The produce is for the responsible one."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. This Hadith has been reported through routes other than this, and this acted upon according to the people of knowledge.

From Jabir that the Prophet (saws) prohibited Al-Muhaqalah, Al-Muzabanah, Al-Mukhabarah, and Al-Mu'awamah, and he permitted it in the case of Al-'Araya.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "The best of people is one whose life is long and his conduct is good".

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Verily, there is a Fitnah (trial) for every nation and the trial for my nation (or Ummah) is wealth."

[At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan Sahih].

`Ali (رضي الله عنه) said: al-Hasan most resembles the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) between the navel and the head, and al-Husain most resembles him in what is lower than that.

Al-Hasan reported in mursal form that God’s messenger said, “If death comes to anyone when he is seeking knowledge with the purpose of using it to revivify Islam, there will be only one degree between him and the prophets in paradise.” Darimi transmitted it.

God’s messenger married Maimuna when he was not in the sacred state and cohabited with her when he was not in the sacred state, and I was the messenger between them. Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a hasan tradition.

Ibn `Abbas told that when God's messenger was carrying al-Hasan b. `Ali on his shoulder a man said, "You have mounted on a fine steed, boy." The Prophet said, "And he is a fine rider." Tirmidhi transmitted it.
