Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 423
Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "When two people revile each other, the responsibility
for what they say rests on the first to speak as long as the one who wronged
does not become excessive."

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 432
Abu Dharr is reported as saying that he heard the Prophet, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, "If a man accuses another man
of deviance or accuses him of disbelief, that accusation will come back
on him if his companion is not as he said."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَُرَ، أَنَّ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: لاَ يَرْمِي رَجُلٌ رَجُلاً بِالْفُسُوقِ، وَلاَ يَرْمِيهِ بِالْكُفْرِ، إِلاَّ ارْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبُهُ كَذَلِكَ.

Anas ibn Malik reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, said, "If the Final Hour comes while you have a shoot of a plant
in your hands and it is possible to plant it before the Hour comes, you
should plant it."

Salim reported from his father that the Messenger of Allah, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by a man who berating his brother
about his modesty. He told him, "Let him be. Modesty is part of faith."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، فَقَالَ: دَعْهُ، فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الإيمَانِ.- حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: مَرَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى رَجُلٍ يُعَاتِبُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، كَأَنَّهُ يَقُولُ: أَضَرَّ بِكَ، فَقَالَ: دَعْهُ، فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ.

Abu Hurayra reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, used to say, "O Allah, I seek refuge with You from poverty,
need and abasement. I seek refuge with You from being unjust or wronged."
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْفَقْرِ وَالْقِلَّةِ وَالذِّلَّةِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَظْلِمَ أَوْ أُظْلَمَ.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 760
'Abdullah ibn Burayda reported from his father that the Messenger
of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do not call a
hypocrite 'master'. He is not your master and you will have angered your
Lord, the Mighty and Exalted."

'Adi ibn Arta' said, "When one of the Companions of the Prophet,

what they do not know.'"

Abu 'Izza Yassar ibn 'Abdullah al-Hudhali reported that the Prophet,

to die in a particular country, he makes him have some reason for being
there."
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَزَّةَ يَسَارِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ قَبْضَ عَبْدٍ بِأَرْضٍ، جَعَلَ لَهُ بِهَا، أَوْ: فِيهَا أ حَاجَةً.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 785
Anas ibn Malik heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and grant him peace, say, "I have nothing to do with diversions and diversions
have nothing to do with me." He meant that he does not do anything worthless."

It is reported that al-Harith ibn Abza said, "I was present at
Hunayn with the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he
asked me, 'What is your name?' 'Ghurab,' I replied. He said, 'No, your
name is Muslim.'"

'Abdullah ibn 'Amr reported that a man asked the Messenger of
Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, "Which is the best of Islam?"
He replied, "Feeding people and giving the greeting to those you know and
those you do not know."

Abu Huraira reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When anyone amongst you utters Amin in prayer and the angels in the sky also utter Amin, and this (utterance of the one) synchronises with (that of) the other, all his previous sins are pardoned.
حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، أَنَّ أَبَا يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِذَا قَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الصَّلاَةِ آمِينَ . وَالْمَلاَئِكَةُ فِي السَّمَاءِ آمِينَ . فَوَافَقَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الأُخْرَى غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .

When I begin the prayer I Intend to make it long, but I hear a boy cry. ing; I then shorten it because of his mother's feelings.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ الضَّرِيرُ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنِّي لأَدْخُلُ الصَّلاَةَ أُرِيدُ إِطَالَتَهَا فَأَسْمَعُ بُكَاءَ الصَّبِيِّ فَأُخَفِّفُ مِنْ شِدَّةِ وَجْدِ أُمِّهِ بِهِ " .

When any one of you prays, he should not allow anyone to pass before him, and if he refuses, he should be then forcibly resisted, for there is a devil with him.

" إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي فَلاَ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَمُرُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَإِنْ أَبَى فَلْيُقَاتِلْهُ فَإِنَّ مَعَهُ الْقَرِينَ " .

Abu Zubair reported that he saw Jabir b. 'Abdullah praying in a single garment crossing Its ends even though he had the garments, and Jabir said:
He saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) doing like this.
حَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، أَنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ الْمَكِّيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، رَأَى جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ وَعِنْدَهُ ثِيَابُهُ . وَقَالَ جَابِرٌ إِنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ ذَلِكَ .

Abu Sa'id al Khudri reported:
I visited the Apostle (may peace be upon him) and saw him praying on a reed mat on which he was prostrating himself. And I saw him praying in a single garment with ends crossed with each other.
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لِعَمْرٍو - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ، أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي عَلَى حَصِيرٍ يَسْجُدُ عَلَيْهِ - قَالَ - وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُتَوَشِّحًا بِهِ .

This hadith is narrated on the authority of Alqama and Aswad by another chain of transmitters and in the hadith transmitted by Ibn Mus-hir and Jabir the words are:
" I perceive as if I am seeing the gap between the fingers of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) as he was bowing."
وَحَدَّثَنَا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ التَّمِيمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُفَضَّلٌ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، وَالأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّهُمَا دَخَلاَ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ . بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ . وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مُسْهِرٍ وَجَرِيرٍ فَلَكَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى اخْتِلاَفِ أَصَابِعِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ رَاكِعٌ .

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: If anyone hears a man crying out in the mosque about something he has lost, he should say: May Allah not restore it to you, for the mosques were not built for this.

" مَنْ سَمِعَ رَجُلاً يَنْشُدُ ضَالَّةً فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَلْيَقُلْ لاَ رَدَّهَا اللَّهُ عَلَيْكَ فَإِنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لَمْ تُبْنَ لِهَذَا " .

Abu Huraira reported that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) stood up for the second rak'ah he opened it with the recitation of the praise of Allah, the Lord of universe (al-Fatiha), and he did not observe silence (before the recitation of al-Fatiha).

We used to say (the noonprayer) with the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) in the intense heat, but when someone amongst us found it hard to place his forehead on the ground, he spread his cloth and prostrated on it.

We used to slaughter the camel during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) after the 'Asr prayer, but he made no mention of:" We used to pray along with him."

The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used to observe prayers like your prayers, but he would delay the prayer after nightfall to a little after the time you observed it, and he would shorten the prayer.

'A'isha, the wife of the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), reported:
The prayer was prescribed as two rak'ahs, two rak'ahs both in journey and at the place of residence. The prayer while travelling remained as it was (originally prescribed), but an addition was made in the prayer (observed) at the place of residence.

Keep refreshing your knowledge of the Qur'an, for I swear by Him in Whose Hand is the life of Mahammad that it is more liable to escape than camels which are hobbled.

'Umara reported:
I heard Abd Sa'id al-Khudri as saying that he had heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) make (this) observation with a gesture of his five fingers, and then he narrated the hadith as transmitted by 'Uyaina (hadith 2134).

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj that Abu Hurayra said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'The muslim eats in one intestine, and the kafir eats in seven!' "
حَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" يَأْكُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ فِي مِعًى وَاحِدٍ وَالْكَافِرُ يَأْكُلُ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَمْعَاءٍ " .

Urwa said that A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace used to pray asr while the sunlight was pouring into her room, before the sun itself had become visible (i.e. because it was still high in the sky).
قَالَ عُرْوَةُ وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ زَوْجُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ .

Ibn Mughaffal reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs and then said: what is the trouble with them (the people of Medina)? How dogs are nuisance to them (the citizens of Medina)? He then permitted keehing of dogs for hunting and (the protection of) herds.

Jabir ibn Samura was asked about the grayness of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), so he said:
"When he oiled his head, no grayness was visible, and when he did not apply oil, some was visible.”

"He used to perform four cycles of ritual prayer before noon", and he mentioned that Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to perform them at the time of the sun's zenith, and he used to prolong them.

"Allah has not sent a Prophet unless he was endowed with a handsome face and a beautiful voice, and your Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was endowed with a handsome face and a beautiful voice, and he did not chant in a quavering tone.”

I asked 'A'isha with what thing she perfumed the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) at the time of entering upon the state of Ihram. She said: With the best of perfume.

هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ . قَالَ قِيلَ
لأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مَا الْحَنْتَمُ قَالَ الْجِرَارُ الْخُضْرُ .

'Uqba b. Huraith said:
I heard Ibn 'Umar saying: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) forbade (the preparation of Nabidh) in a green pitcher (besmeared with pitch), in varnished jar, and in gourd, and he said: Prepare Nabidh in small waterskins.
