Mishkat al-Masabih 1521
Ibn ‘Umar told that when the Prophet heard the sound of thunder and of thunderbolts he said, "O God, do not kill us with Thine anger and do not destroy us with Thy punishment, but preserve us before that happens."
Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a gharib tradition.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ إِذَا سَمِعَ صَوْتَ الرَّعْدِ وَالصَّوَاعِقَ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَقْتُلْنَا بِغَضَبِكَ وَلَا تُهْلِكْنَا بِعَذَابِكَ وَعَافِنَا قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ

Mishkat al-Masabih 1858
Abu Dharr said that God's messenger called him and laid a condition on him that he should not ask people for anything. When he agreed he said,
"Not even for your whip when you drop it. You must dismount and get it yourself.”
Ahmad transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ: دَعَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَشْتَرِطُ عَلَيَّ: «أَنْ لَا تَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ شَيْئًا» قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. قَالَ: «وَلَا سَوْطَكَ إِنْ سَقَطَ مِنْكَ حَتَّى تنزل إِلَيْهِ فتأخذه» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:
Narrated Ibn 'Umar (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, "Two types of dead animals and two types of bloods have been made lawful for us, the two types of dead animals are locusts and fish (seafood), while the two types of bloods are the liver and the spleen". [Reported by Ahmad and Ibn Majah, and this Hadith has some weakness.]
وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أُحِلَّتْ لَنَا مَيْتَتَانِ وَدَمَانِ, فَأَمَّا الْمَيْتَتَانِ: فَالْجَرَادُ وَالْحُوتُ, وَأَمَّا الدَّمَانُ: فَالطِّحَالُ وَالْكَبِدُ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ, وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ 1 .

'Ubadah bin as-Samit (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “Do not be dishonest (and treacherous) about the war booty (i.e. steal from it before it is divided legally), as Ghulul will be like fire (for the ones who got involved in it) and a cause of disgrace to those who are guilty of it in this world and in the Hereafter.” Related by Ahmad, and An-Nasa‘i, and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ اَلصَّامِتِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{
"لَا تَغُلُّوا; فَإِنَّ اَلْغُلُولَ نَارٌ وَعَارٌ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ فِي اَلدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ" } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

'Aishah (RAA) narrated, 'When my vindication was revealed, the Prophet (PBUH) mounted the pulpit and mentioned what happened and recited the verses of the Quran (which had been revealed). When he came down from the pulpit he ordered that two men and a women should be given the prescribed flogging (for this false accusation of 'Aishah (RAA) which is eighty lashes).' Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. Al-Bukhari refereed to it.
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { لَمَّا نَزَلَ عُذْرِي, قَامَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَلَى اَلْمِنْبَرِ, فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ وَتَلَا اَلْقُرْآنَ, فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ أَمَرَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ وَاِمْرَأَةٍ فَضُرِبُوا اَلْحَدَّ } أَخْرَجَهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ 1 .

Narrated [Abu Hurairah (RA)]:
When the Prophet (SAW) congratulated a man on his marriage he would say, "Allah bless for you (your spouse), grant you blessing, and join you together in goodness."
[Reported by Ahmad and al-Arba'a. at-Tirmidhi, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْهُ ; أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ إِذَا رَفَّأَ إِنْسَانًا إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ قَالَ : { بَارَكَ اَللَّهُ لَكَ , وَبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَ , وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا فِي خَيْرٍ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ , وَابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ , وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Narrated Abu Burda bin Abu Musa on the authority of his father; Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "There is no marriage without a guardian."
[Ahmad and al-Arba'a reported it. Ibn al-Madini, at-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic), but it was regarded defective for being Mursal (missing link after the Tabi'i)].

Narrated 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) prostrated and prolonged the Sajda, he then raised his head and said, "Jibrael (Gabriel) had come and given me glad tidings, thereafter I prostrated in gratitude to Allah."
[Ahmad reported it and al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ : { سَجَدَ اَلنَّبِيُّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَأَطَالَ اَلسُّجُودَ , ثُمَّ رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَقَالَ :
" إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ آتَانِي , فَبَشَّرَنِي , فَسَجَدْت لِلَّهِ شُكْرًا" } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ . 1

Mishkat al-Masabih 2354
Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “God who is great and glorious will raise a righteous servant’s degree in paradise, and when he asks his Lord how this has been granted him, He will reply that it is because his son has asked pardon for him.”
Ahmad transmitted it.
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَيَرْفَعُ الدَّرَجَةَ لِلْعَبْدِ الصَّالِحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَيَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ أَنَّى لِي هَذِهِ؟ فَيَقُولُ: باستغفار ولدك لَك ". رَوَاهُ أَحْمد

“Healing is in three things: A
drink of honey, the glass of the cupper, and cauterizing with fire,
but I forbid my nation to use cauterization.” And he attributed it

the Prophet (saw).

When the verse was revealed:" Do not raise your voice louder than the voice of the Apostle," no mention was made of Sa'd b, Mu'adh in it.

The Prophet (saws) said: Both hands prostrate as the face prostrates. When one of you puts his face (on the ground) he should put his hands too (on the ground). And when he raises it, he should raise them too.

" لاَ سَبْقَ إِلاَّ فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ فِي حَافِرٍ أَوْ نَصْلٍ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 3590
Ibn 'Abbas said:
The Qur'anic verse: "If they do come to thee, either judge between them, or decline to interfere" was abrogated by the verse: "So judge between them by what Allah hath revealed."

’Umar bin al-Khattab (RAA) narrated, ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah say, “A father is not to be killed for his offspring.” Related by Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah. Ibn al-Garud and al-Baihaqi graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ اَلْخَطَّابِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -يَقُولُ: { لَا يُقَادُ اَلْوَالِدُ بِالْوَلَدِ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ اَلْجَارُودِ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ, وَقَالَ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ: إِنَّهُ مُضْطَرِبٌ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 2091
‘A'isha said she asked God’s messenger to tell her what prayers to say on lailat al-qadr if she knew which night it was, and he told her to say, “O God, Thou art forgiving and lovest forgiveness, so forgive me.”
Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Tirmidhi declared it to be sound.
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ عَلِمْتُ أَيُّ لَيْلَةٍ الْقَدْرِ مَا أَقُولُ فِيهَا؟ قَالَ:

Mishkat al-Masabih 3176
Ibn ‘Umar told that Ghailan b. Salama ath-Thaqafi accepted Islam and that he had had ten wives in the pre-Islamic period who accepted Islam along with him; so the Prophet told him to keep four and separate from the rest of them.
Ahmad, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it.

Mishkat al-Masabih 2400, 2401
Hudhaifa said that when the Prophet wanted to go to sleep he placed his hand under his head and said, "O God, guard me from thy punishment on the day when Thou gatherest Thy servants," or "raisest up Thy servants."
Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad gave al-Bara’ as his authority.
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ تَحْتَ رَأْسِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اللَّهُمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَجْمَعُ عِبَادَكَ أَوْ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Qur'anic verse goes: "(It is prescribed when death approaches any of you), if he leaves any goods, that he may bequest to parents and next to kin." The bequest was made in this way until the verse of inheritance repealed it.

Hisham said “The unjust vein means that a man implants a tree in the land of another man so that they may be entitled to it. Malik said “The unjust vein means that a man takes (a thing) digs a pit and implants a tree without (his) right.

Sahih al-Bukhari 4211
Narrated Anas bin Malik:
We arrived at Khaibar, and when Allah helped His Apostle to open the fort, the beauty of Safiya bint Huyai bin Akhtaq whose husband had been killed while she was a bride, was mentioned to Allah's Apostle. The Prophet selected her for himself, and set out with her, and when we reached a place called Sidd-as-Sahba,' Safiya became clean from her menses then Allah's Apostle married her. Hais (i.e. an 'Arabian dish) was prepared on a small leather mat. Then the Prophet said to me, "I invite the people around you." So that was the marriage banquet of the Prophet and Safiya. Then we proceeded towards Medina, and I saw the Prophet, making for her a kind of cushion with his cloak behind him (on his camel). He then sat beside his camel and put his knee for Safiya to put her foot on, in order to ride (on the camel).
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيُّ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، مَوْلَى الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَدِمْنَا خَيْبَرَ، فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ الْحِصْنَ ذُكِرَ لَهُ جَمَالُ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَىِّ بْنِ أَخْطَبَ، وَقَدْ قُتِلَ زَوْجُهَا وَكَانَتْ عَرُوسًا، فَاصْطَفَاهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِنَفْسِهِ، فَخَرَجَ بِهَا، حَتَّى بَلَغْنَا سَدَّ الصَّهْبَاءِ حَلَّتْ، فَبَنَى بِهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثُمَّ صَنَعَ حَيْسًا فِي نِطَعٍ صَغِيرٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي
" آذِنْ مَنْ حَوْلَكَ ". فَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ وَلِيمَتَهُ عَلَى صَفِيَّةَ، ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُحَوِّي لَهَا وَرَاءَهُ بِعَبَاءَةٍ، ثُمَّ يَجْلِسُ عِنْدَ بَعِيرِهِ، فَيَضَعُ رُكْبَتَهُ، وَتَضَعُ صَفِيَّةُ رِجْلَهَا عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ حَتَّى تَرْكَبَ.

`A’ishah said ; I used to perfume the Messenger of Allah (SWAS) preparatory to his entering the sacred state before he put on Ihram, and preparatory to putting off Ihram before he made the circuits round the House (the Ka’bah).

Ziyad bin Jubair said :
I was present with Ibn `Umar at Minah. He passed a man who was sacrificing his camel while it was sitting. He said make it stand and tie its leg ; thus follow the practice (sunnah) of Muhammad (SWAS).

Bulugh al-Maram 709
A’ishah (RAA) narrated, ‘I once asked the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) ‘O Messenger of Allah! Is Jihad incumbent upon women? He replied, “Yes. They have to take part in Jihad in which no fighting takes place, which is:
Hajj and 'Umrah." Related by Ahmad and Ibn Majah and the wording is his. It is reported with a sound chain of narrators.
وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! عَلَى اَلنِّسَاءِ جِهَادٌ ? قَالَ:

Mishkat al-Masabih 2155
Jabir said it was the Prophet’s custom not to go to sleep till he had recited “A. L. M The sending down,” (Qur’ān, 32) and “Blessed is He in whose hand is the kingdom.”
Ahmad, Tirmidhī and Dārimī transmitted it, Tirmidhī saying this is a sahīh tradition. The same is said in Sharh as-sunna, but in al-Masābīh it is called gharīb.
وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ لَا يَنَامُ حَتَّى يَقْرَأَ: (آلم تَنْزِيل)

Narrated AbuHurayrah:
A bedouin came to the Prophet (saws), and said: My wife has given birth to a black son, and I disown him. He then narrated the rest of the tradition to the same effect.

'Abdur Rahman bin 'Uthman al-Qurashi (RAA) narrated, 'A doctor consulted the Prophet (PBUH) about extracting medicine from a frog but he prohibited killing it.' Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud and An-Nasai. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2008
Narrated 'Aishah:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) alighted at al-Muhassab so that it might be easier for him to proceed (to Medina). It is not a sunnah (i.e. a rite of Hajj). Anyone who desires may alight there, and anyone who does not want may not alight.

Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah :
We performed tamattu' during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah (saws), sacrificed a cow for seven and a camel for seven people. We shared them.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: Allah, the Exalted, has placed truth on Umar's tongue and he speaks it.

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
The Prophet (saws) said: The neighbour is most entitled to the right of pre-emption, and he should wait for its exercise even if he is absent, when the two properties have one road.

Bulugh al-Maram 710
Jabir bin 'Abdullah (RAA) narrated, A Bedouin came to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Tell me about 'Umrah! Is it compulsory? He replied (P.B.U.H.), “No (it is not compulsory), but it is better for you to perform it.” Related by Ahmad and at-Tirmidhi. Scholars are of the opinion that it is Mawquf.
وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: { أَتَى اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَعْرَابِيٌّ. فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! أَخْبِرْنِي عَنْ اَلْعُمْرَةِ, أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ? فَقَالَ:
" لَا. وَأَنْ تَعْتَمِرَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ " } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَالرَّاجِحُ وَقْفُهُ 1 .

Shaddad bin Aus (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) came across a man in Al-Baqi' (in Madinah) who was having himself cupped in Ramadan., and said to him, “The one who cups and the one who is being cupped have both broken their fast." Related by the five Imams except for At-Tirmidhi. Ahmad, Ibn Khuzaimah and Ibn Hibban regarded it as authentic.
وَعَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَتَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ بِالْبَقِيعِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ فِي رَمَضَانَ. فَقَالَ:
" أَفْطَرَ اَلْحَاجِمُ [ وَالْمَحْجُومُ ] " } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ إِلَّا اَلتِّرْمِذِيَّ, وَصَحَّحَهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 45
Abu Umama reported that a man asked God’s messenger what faith was, to which he replied, “When your good deed pleases you and your evil deed grieves you, you are a believer.” He then asked what sin was and received the reply, “When you have a besetting sin, give it up.”
Ahmad transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا الْإِيمَانُ قَالَ إِذَا سَرَّتْكَ حَسَنَتُكَ وَسَاءَتْكَ سَيِّئَتُكَ فَأَنْتَ مُؤْمِنٌ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا الْإِثْمُ قَالَ إِذَا حَاكَ فِي نَفْسِكَ شَيْءٌ فَدَعْهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمد

Allah's Apostle used to treat with a Ruqya saying, "O the Lord of the people! Remove the trouble The cure is in Your Hands, and there is none except You who can remove it (the disease) . "

" امْسَحِ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، بِيَدِكَ الشِّفَاءُ، لاَ كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ ".

Narrated Ibrahim's grand-father that 'Umar(ra) in his last Hajj allowed the wives of the Prophet(saws)to perform Hajj and he sent with them 'Uthman bin 'Affan(ra) and 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf(ra) as escorts.
وَقَالَ لِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَذِنَ عُمَرُ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ لأَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي آخِرِ حَجَّةٍ حَجَّهَا، فَبَعَثَ مَعَهُنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ.
