أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْجَلابُ بِهَمْدَانَ ، ثَنَا أَبُو حَاتِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْحَجَبِيُّ ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمِّي ، مِنْ وَلَدِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهَا أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : شُجَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَتَلَقَّاهُ أَبِي مَالِكُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، فَلَحَسَ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ بِفَمِهِ ، ثُمَّ ازْدَرَدَهُ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يَنْظُرَ إِلَى مَنْ خَالَطَ دَمِي فَلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى مَالِكِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ "

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade turning the water-skin upside down and drinking directly from its mouth.

Sunan Ibn Majah 4013
It was narrated that Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri said:
“Marwan brought
out
the pulpit on the day of ‘Eid, and he started with the sermon
before
the prayer. A man said: ‘O Marwan, you have gone against the
Sunnah.
You have brought out the pulpit on this day, and it was not
brought
out before, and you have started with the sermon before the
prayer,
and this was not done before.’ Abu Sa’eed said: ‘As for
this man, he
has done his duty. I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw)
say: ‘Whoever
among you sees an evil action and can change it with
his hand (by
taking action), let him change it with his hand. If he
cannot do that,
then with his tongue (by speaking out); and if he
cannot do that, then
with his heart (by hating it and feeling that it
is wrong), and that
is the weakest of faith.’”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ رَجَاءٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، وَعَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْرَجَ مَرْوَانُ الْمِنْبَرَ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ فَبَدَأَ بِالْخُطْبَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا مَرْوَانُ خَالَفْتَ السُّنَّةَ أَخْرَجْتَ الْمِنْبَرَ فِي هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُخْرَجُ وَبَدَأْتَ بِالْخُطْبَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يُبْدَأُ بِهَا . فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَمَّا هَذَا فَقَدْ قَضَى مَا عَلَيْهِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " مَنْ رَأَى مِنْكُمْ مُنْكَرًا فَاسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يُغَيِّرَهُ بِيَدِهِ فَلْيُغَيِّرْهُ بِيَدِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِلِسَانِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَبِقَلْبِهِ وَذَلِكَ أَضْعَفُ الإِيمَانِ " .

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Animals are saddled only for prayer in the three mosques:

* These are the only mosques to which long journeys may be made purely for the purpose of praying in them. The sacred mosque means the Ka'ba.

A mention was made of his uncle Abu Talib before the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) He said: My intercession may benefit him on the Day of Resurrection and he may be placed in the shallow part of the Fire which would reach his ankles and his brain would be boiling.

We got female captives in the war booty and we used to do coitus interruptus with them. So we asked Allah's Apostle about it and he said, "Do you really do that?" repeating the question thrice, "There is no soul that is destined to exist but will come into existence, till the Day of Resurrection."

Sunan Abi Dawud 338
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said:
Two persons set out on a journey. Meanwhile the time of prayer came and they had no water. They performed tayammum with clean earth and prayed. Later on they found water within the time of the prayer. One of them repeated the prayer and ablution but the other did not repeat. Then they came to the Messenger of Allah (saws) and related the matter to him. Addressing himself to the one who did not repeat, he said: You followed the sunnah (model behavior of the Prophet) and your (first) prayer was enough for you. He said to the one who performed ablution and repeated: For you there is the double reward.
Abu Dawud said: Besides Ibn Nafi' this is transmitted by al-Laith from 'Umairah b. Abi Najiyyah from Bakr b. Sawadah on the authority of 'Ata b. Yasar from the Prophet (saws).
Abu Dawud said: The mention of (the name of the Companion) Abu Sa'id in this tradition is not guarded. This is a mural tradition (i.e. the Successor 'Ata b. Yasar directly narrates it from the Prophet, leaving the name of the Companion in the chain.)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْمُسَيَّبِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَجُلاَنِ فِي سَفَرٍ فَحَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُمَا مَاءٌ فَتَيَمَّمَا صَعِيدًا طَيِّبًا فَصَلَّيَا ثُمَّ وَجَدَا الْمَاءَ فِي الْوَقْتِ فَأَعَادَ أَحَدُهُمَا الصَّلاَةَ وَالْوُضُوءَ وَلَمْ يُعِدِ الآخَرُ ثُمَّ أَتَيَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَا ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ لِلَّذِي لَمْ يُعِدْ " أَصَبْتَ السُّنَّةَ وَأَجْزَأَتْكَ صَلاَتُكَ " . وَقَالَ لِلَّذِي تَوَضَّأَ وَأَعَادَ " لَكَ الأَجْرُ مَرَّتَيْنِ " . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَغَيْرُ ابْنِ نَافِعٍ يَرْوِيهِ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ عَنْ عَمِيرَةَ بْنِ أَبِي نَاجِيَةَ عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَذِكْرُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ لَيْسَ بِمَحْفُوظٍ وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ .

It has been narrated (through a still different chain of transmitters) on the authority of Abu Sa'id Khudrl that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) despatched a force to Banu Lihyan. (and said:
) One man from every two should join the force. Then he said to those who stayed behind: Those of you who will look well after the family and wealth of those who are going on the expedition will be getting half the reward of the warriors.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ إِلَى بَنِي لَحْيَانَ " لِيَخْرُجْ مِنْ كُلِّ رَجُلَيْنِ رَجُلٌ
" . ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْقَاعِدِ " أَيُّكُمْ خَلَفَ الْخَارِجَ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ بِخَيْرٍ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ نِصْفِ أَجْرِ

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2407
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated (that the Prophet s.a.w) said:
"When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، رَفَعَهُ قَالَ " إِذَا أَصْبَحَ ابْنُ آدَمَ فَإِنَّ الأَعْضَاءَ كُلَّهَا تُكَفِّرُ اللِّسَانَ فَتَقُولُ اتَّقِ اللَّهَ فِينَا فَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ بِكَ فَإِنِ اسْتَقَمْتَ اسْتَقَمْنَا وَإِنِ اعْوَجَجْتَ اعْوَجَجْنَا " .
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعُوهُ .
حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الصَّهْبَاءِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَحْسَبُهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ .

This hadith has been narrated, on the authority, of Abu Huraira (with this change of words)." A person whose heart is attached to the mosque when he goes out of it till he returns to it."
وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، - أَوْ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، - أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ . وَقَالَ " وَرَجُلٌ مُعَلَّقٌ بِالْمَسْجِدِ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْهُ حَتَّى يَعُودَ إِلَيْهِ " .

Sahih Muslim 1116 a
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported:
We went out on an expedition with Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the 16th of Ramadan. Some of us fasted and some of us broke the fast. But neither the observer of the fast found fault with one who broke it, nor the breaker of the fast found fault with one who observed it.
حَدَّثَنَا هَدَّابُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِسِتَّ عَشْرَةَ مَضَتْ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ فَمِنَّا مَنْ صَامَ وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَفْطَرَ فَلَمْ يَعِبِ الصَّائِمُ عَلَى الْمُفْطِرِ وَلاَ الْمُفْطِرُ عَلَى الصَّائِمِ .

It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Sa'id Khudri that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a force to Banu Lihyan (who are from Banu Hudhail, and said:
One man from every two and the reward (will be divided) between the two.
وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، حَدَّثَنَا
يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، مَوْلَى الْمَهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ
صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ بَعْثًا إِلَى بَنِي لِحْيَانَ - مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ - فَقَالَ " لِيَنْبَعِثْ مِنْ كُلِّ
رَجُلَيْنِ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالأَجْرُ بَيْنَهُمَا " .

Abu Sa'id Kudari reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having, said this:
Don't make distinction amongst the Apostles. This hadith has been narrated through another chain of transmitters also.

اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لاَ تُخَيِّرُوا بَيْنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ " . وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ نُمَيْرٍ عَمْرِو بْنِ
يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي .

Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying "The best assemblies are those in which people make room for one another."

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "When one yawns, he should put his hand over his mouth, otherwise the devil will enter."

Mishkat al-Masabih 3648
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said he had wine belonging to an orphan, and when al-Ma'idah (Al-Qur’an, 5) came down he asked God’s Messenger about it, telling him it belonged to an orphan, but he said, “Pour it out.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَن أبي سعيدٍ الخدريِّ قَالَ: كانَ عندَنا خَمْرٌ لِيَتِيمٍ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتِ (الْمَائِدَةُ)
سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْهُ وَقُلْتُ: إِنَّه ليَتيمٍ فَقَالَ: «أهْريقوهُ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
