Sunan Abi Dawud 4362
Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib:
A Jewess used to abuse the Prophet (saws) and disparage him. A man strangled her till she died. The Messenger of Allah (saws) declared that no recompense was payable for her blood.
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، عَنْ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً، كَانَتْ تَشْتِمُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتَقَعُ فِيهِ فَخَنَقَهَا رَجُلٌ حَتَّى مَاتَتْ فَأَبْطَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم دَمَهَا .

Mishkat al-Masabih 4020
Muhammad b. Abul Mujalid reported ‘Abdallah b. Abu Aufa as saying he asked whether they set aside the fifth of food in the time of God’s Messenger and received the reply that on the day of Khaibar they captured food and a man would come and take as much of it as he needed and then go away.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُجَالِدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى قَالَ: قُلْتُ: هَلْ كُنْتُمْ تُخَمِّسُونَ الطَّعَامَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: أَصَبْنَا طَعَامًا يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَجِيءُ فَيَأْخُذُ مِنْهُ مقدارَ مَا يكفيهِ ثمَّ ينْصَرف. وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 5440
He reported God's messenger as saying, "The last hour will not come before wealth is abundant and overflowing, before a man brings the zakat on his property and cannot find anyone to accept it from him, and before the land of the Arabs becomes meadows and rivers." In a version by him he said, "the dwellings reach to Ihab or Yihab[*]."

'Abdullah ibn 'Amr said, "A man's reviling his father is one of the major
wrong actions in the sight of Allah Almighty."

Sallam ibn 'Amr reported from one of the Companions of the Prophet,
may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Your slaves are your brothers,
so treat him well. Ask for their help in what is too much for you and help
them in what is too much for them."

Mu'awiya ibn Qurra said that his father said to him, "My son,
when a man passes by you and says, 'Peace be upon you (plural).' Do not
say, 'And on you (singular)' as if you were singling out that greeting
out for him alone. Rather say, 'Peace be upon you (plural).'"
حَدَّثَنَا مَطَرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بِسْطَامٌ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ قُرَّةَ قَالَ: قَالَ لِي أَبِي: يَا بُنَيَّ، إِذَا مَرَّ بِكَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ: السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ، فَلاَ تَقُلْ: وَعَلَيْكَ، كَأَنَّكَ تَخُصُّهُ بِذَلِكَ وَحْدَهُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ وَحْدَهُ، وَلَكِنْ قُلِ: السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُمْ.

'Amro bin Shu'aib narrated on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “The Diyah of the Dhimmi is half that of a Muslim.” Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. The narration of Abu Dawud, “The Diyah of the Mu'ahid (non Muslim with a covenant of protection) is half the Diyah of an free Muslim.” In the narration of An-Nasa’i, “The Diyah of a woman is the same as the Diyah of a man up to the third of the value (if the due value exceeds the third then her Diyah is half that of the man).” Ibn Khuzaimah graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ عَقْلُ أَهْلِ اَلذِّمَّةِ نِصْفُ عَقْلِ اَلْمُسْلِمِينَ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالْأَرْبَعَةُ 1 .

'Amro bin Shu'aib narrated on the authority of his father, who reported on the authority of his grandfather (RAA) that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) was asked about a treasure that was found by a man in some ruined land, and he said to him, “If you found it in an inhabited village, then you must advertise its having been found. However, if he found it in an uninhabited village, then on it and the rest of the discovered treasure one fifth is payable as Zakah.” Related by Ibn Majah with a reliable chain of narrators.
وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ, عَنْ جَدِّهِ; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ -فِي كَنْزٍ وَجَدَهُ رَجُلٌ فِي خَرِبَةٍ-:
"إِنْ وَجَدْتَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مَسْكُونَةٍ, فَعَرِّفْهُ, وَإِنْ وَجَدْتَهُ فِي قَرْيَةٍ غَيْرِ مَسْكُونَةٍ, فَفِيهِ وَفِي اَلرِّكَازِ: اَلْخُمُسُ ". } أَخْرَجَهُ اِبْنُ مَاجَهْ بِإِسْنَادٍ حَسَن ٍ 1 .

Bulugh al-Maram 134
Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RAA):
concerning the verse, “And if you are ill or on a journey...” (an-Nisa': 43). He said, "If a man sustains a wound, which he suffered during Jihad (in the cause of Allah) or ulcers, then he became junub (sexually impure) and is afraid that if he bathes he would die; he may perform ablution with clean earth (Tayammum).
[Reported by Ad- Daraqutni in a Mawquf (untraceable) Hadith and Al-Bazzar in a Marfu' (traceable) one. Ibn Khuzaima and Al-Hakim graded it Sahih (sound)].
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ﴿ وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضَى أَوْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ ﴾ 1 قَالَ:
"إِذَا كَانَتْ بِالرَّجُلِ اَلْجِرَاحَةُ فِي سَبِيلِ اَللَّهِ وَالْقُرُوحُ, فَيُجْنِبُ, فَيَخَافُ أَنْ يَمُوتَ إِنْ اِغْتَسَلَ: تَيَمَّمَ" . رَوَاهُ اَلدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ مَوْقُوفًا, وَرَفَعَهُ اَلْبَزَّارُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ, وَالْحَاكِم ُ 2 .

Narrated Abu Musa (RA):
Two men had a disputer over an animal, and neither of them had a proof. So Allah's Messenger (SAW) gave a ruling that it be divided in halves between them.
[Reported by Ahmad, Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i, and the wording is his (an-Nasa'i) who said that it's chain of narrators is Jayyid (good)].
وَعَنْ أَبَى مُوسَى [ اَلْأَشْعَرِيِّ ] - رضى الله عنه - { أَنَّ رَجُلَيْنِ اِخْتَصَمَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -فِي دَابَّةٍ, لَيْسَ لِوَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا بَيِّنَةٌ, فَقَضَى بِهَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ > 1 2 . بَيْنَهُمَا نِصْفَيْنِ } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَهَذَا لَفْظُهُ, وَقَالَ: إِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّد ٌ 3 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 296
A man of the B. Sulaim said:
God's messenger counted them in my hand, or in his hand, saying, “The glorifying of God is half the scale,
‘Praise be to God’ fills it, ‘God is most great’ fills the space between heaven and earth, fasting is the half of endurance, and being purified is half of faith.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it and said that this is a hasan tradition.
وَعَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ: عَدَّهُنَّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي يَدِي أَوْ فِي يَدِهِ قَالَ: «التَّسْبِيحُ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ يَمْلَؤُهُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلَأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الْإِيمَانِ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "I am to you just like a father to his son, for I give you instruction. When you go to relieve yourselves do not face or turn your back to the qibla.” He commanded that three stones be used, he forbade the use of dung and decayed bones, and he forbade that a man should cleanse himself with his right hand.
Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ مِثْلُ الْوَالِدِ لِوَلَدِهِ أُعَلِّمُكُمْ إِذَا أَتَيْتُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا وَأَمَرَ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ وَنَهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ وَنَهَى أَنْ يَسْتَطِيبَ الرَّجُلُ بِيَمِينِهِ. رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ

‘Ali reported that a man came to the Prophet and said, “I washed because of sexual defilement, then prayed the dawn prayer but noticed a spot about the size of a nail which had not been touched by the water.” God’s messenger replied, “If you had rubbed your hand over it, it would have been enough for you.”
Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَن عَليّ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي اغْتَسَلْتُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ وَصليت الْفجْر ثمَّ أَصبَحت فَرَأَيْتُ قَدْرَ مَوْضِعِ الظُّفُرِ لَمْ يُصِبْهُ الْمَاءُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ كُنْتَ مَسَحْتَ عَلَيْهِ بِيَدِكَ أَجْزَأَكَ» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه

Abu Burda b. Abu Musa said:
I came to Medina and met 'Abdallah b. Salam who said, "You are in a land in which usury is common, so when anyone owes you anything and presents you with a load of straw, or a load of barley, or a rope of lucerne grass, do not accept it for it is usury."

وَعَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَ: قدمت الْمَدِينَة فَلَقِيت عبد الله بن سلا م فَقَالَ: إِنَّك بِأَرْض فِيهَا الرِّبَا فَاش إِذا كَانَ لَكَ عَلَى رَجُلٍ حَقٌّ فَأَهْدَى إِلَيْكَ حِمْلَ تَبْنٍ أَو حِملَ شعيرِ أَو حَبْلَ قَتٍّ فَلَا تَأْخُذْهُ فَإِنَّهُ رِبًا. رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 3320
‘Amr b. Shu'aib, on his father’s authority, said that his grandfather told of a man who got up and said, “Messenger of God, so and so is my son; I had illicit intercourse with his mother in the pre-Islamic period.” God’s Messenger replied, “There is no unlawful claiming of paternity in Islam. What was done in pre-Islamic times has been annulled. The child is attributed to the one on whose bed it is born, and the fornicator is deprived of any right.”

عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَلَانًا ابْنِي عَاهَرْتُ بِأُمِّهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا دِعْوَةَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ ذَهَبَ أَمْرُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَلِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Jabir said he heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) say:
There is an hour during the night in which no Muslim individual will ask Allah for good in this world and the next without His giving it to him; and that applies to every night.

" إِنَّ فِي اللَّيْلِ لَسَاعَةً لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا رَجُلٌ مُسْلِمٌ يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ خَيْرًا مِنْ أَمْرِ الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ وَذَلِكَ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ " .

It was narrated that ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) said:
If I carried out the hadd punishment on a man and he died, I would not feel upset, except in the case of khamr; if (such a man) died, I would pay the diyah (to his family) because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not prescribe it (did not specify a particular number of lashes).

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “If two men come to you for judgement, do not rule in favour of the first one until you listen to what the other one says, then you will know how to judge.” He said: Since then I became a good judge.
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ حَنَشٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا تَقَاضَى إِلَيْكَ رَجُلَانِ فَلَا تَقْضِ لِلْأَوَّلِ حَتَّى تَسْمَعَ مَا يَقُولُ الْآخَرُ تَرَى كَيْفَ تَقْضِي قَالَ فَمَا زِلْتُ بَعْدُ قَاضِيًا.

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Salim ibn Abdullah from Abdullah ibn Umar that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, passed by a man who was chiding his brother about modesty. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Leave him. Modesty is part of iman."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" دَعْهُ فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ " .

Yahya related to me from Malik that Ziyad ibn Sad heard Ibn Shihab say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, let his hair hang down his forehead as Allah willed, and afterwards he parted it."
Malik said, "There is no harm in a man's looking at the hair of his son's wife or the hair of his wife's mother."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ سَدَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَاصِيَتَهُ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ فَرَقَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ . قَالَ مَالِكٌ لَيْسَ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى شَعَرِ امْرَأَةِ ابْنِهِ أَوْ شَعَرِ أُمِّ امْرَأَتِهِ بَأْسٌ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 5098
Narrated Aisha":
(regarding) the Verse: 'And if you fear that you shall not be able to deal justly with the orphans...' (4.3) It is about the orphan girl who is in the custody of a man who is her guardian, and he intends to marry her because of her wealth, but he treats her badly and does not manage her property fairly and honestly. Such a man should marry women of his liking other than her, two or three or four. 'Prohibited to you (for marriage) are: ...your foster-mothers (who suckled you).' (4.23) Marriage is prohibited between persons having a foster suckling relationship corresponding to a blood relationship which renders marriage unlawful.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، {وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ أَنْ لاَ، تُقْسِطُوا فِي الْيَتَامَى} . قَالَتِ الْيَتِيمَةُ تَكُونُ عِنْدَ الرَّجُلِ وَهْوَ وَلِيُّهَا، فَيَتَزَوَّجُهَا عَلَى مَالِهَا، وَيُسِيءُ صُحْبَتَهَا، وَلاَ يَعْدِلُ فِي مَالِهَا، فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ مَا طَابَ لَهُ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ سِوَاهَا مَثْنَى وَثُلاَثَ وَرُبَاعَ.

Allah's Apostle said, "Beware of entering upon the ladies." A man from the Ansar said, "Allah's Apostle! What about Al-Hamu the in-laws of the wife (the brothers of her husband or his nephews etc.)?" The Prophet replied: The in-laws of the wife are death itself.

A man bit another man's hand and the latter pulled his hand out of his mouth by force, causing two of his incisors (teeth) to fall out. They submitted their case to the Prophet, who said, "One of you bit his brother as a male camel bites. (Go away), there is no Diya (Blood-money) for you."

I saw seventy of the people of As-Suffah and none of them had a cloak. They had either a lower cloth or a blanket which they suspended from their necks. Some reached half way down to the legs and some to the ankles, and one of them would manage to keep it in his hand to avoid exposing his private parts.

Al-Bara' bin 'Azib (May Allah be pleased with them) reported:
A man was reciting Surat Al-Kahf, and a horse was tied with two ropes beside him. As he was reciting, a cloud overshadowed him, and as it began to come nearer and nearer, the horse began to trample voilently. The man came to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) in the morning and mentioned the incident to him. He (PBUH) said, "That was tranquillity which descended as a result of the recitation of the Qur'an."

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said:
"A man from among the Muslims asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW): 'How are prayers at night to be done?' He said: 'prayers at night are (offered) two by two, then if you fear that dawn will come, pray witr with one.'"

The freed slave of Usama bin Zaid said,
"Al-Hajjaj bin Aiman bin Um Aiman and Aiman Ibn Um Aiman was Usama's brother from the maternal side, and he was one of the Ansar. He was seen by Ibn 'Umar not performing his bowing and prostrations in a perfect manner. So Ibn 'Umar told him to repeat his prayer.
وَقَالَ نُعَيْمٌ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِي مَوْلًى، لأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ. أَنَّ الْحَجَّاجَ بْنَ أَيْمَنَ ابْنِ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ،، وَكَانَ، أَيْمَنُ ابْنُ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ أَخَا أُسَامَةَ لأُمِّهِ، وَهْوَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ، فَرَآهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ لَمْ يُتِمَّ رُكُوعَهُ وَلاَ سُجُودَهُ فَقَالَ أَعِدْ.

Allah's Messenger (saws) entered (Makkah) in the year of the Conquest (of Makkah) wearing a helmet over his head. After he took it off, a man came and said, "Ibn Khatal is clinging to the curtains of the Ka'bah." The Prophet (saws) said, "Kill him."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Yahya ibn Said that once Umar ibn al-Khattab left after doing the asr prayer and met a man who had not been there. Umar asked him what had kept him from the prayer and eventhough the man gave a good reason, Umar said, "You have given yourself short measure."
Yahya added that Malik commented, "It is said that everything has a short measure and a full measure."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ فَلَقِيَ رَجُلاً لَمْ يَشْهَدِ الْعَصْرَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مَا حَبَسَكَ عَنْ صَلاَةِ الْعَصْرِ فَذَكَرَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ عُذْرًا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ طَفَّفْتَ . قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَيُقَالُ لِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ وَفَاءٌ وَتَطْفِيفٌ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah laughs at two men. One of them kills the other, but each of them will enter the Garden:
one fights in the way
of Allah and is killed, then Allah turns to the killer, so he fights
(in the way of Allah) and also becomes a martyr."

There came a man to the Prophet (PBUH) and said, "O Messenger of Allah, which charity is the most rewardable?" He (PBUH) said, "That you should give charity (in a state when you are) healthy and stingy and fear poverty, hoping to become rich (charity in such a state of health and mind is the best). And you must not defer (charity to such a length) that you are about to die and would be saying: 'This is for so-and-so, and this for so-and-so.' Lo! It has already come into (the possession of) so-and- so".

He (the Holy Prophet) said:
No, until he has tasted her sweetness.

Sahih Muslim 1673 c
'Imran b. Husain reported that a person bit the arm of another person; he pulled it out and his foretooth fell down. This matter was taken to Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), and he turned it down saying:
Did you want to eat his flesh?
حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ - حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، عَضَّ ذِرَاعَ رَجُلٍ فَجَذَبَهُ فَسَقَطَتْ ثَنِيَّتُهُ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَبْطَلَهُ وَقَالَ
" أَرَدْتَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ لَحْمَهُ " .

Sahih Muslim 1892 a
It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari who said A man brought a muzzled she-camel and said:
It is (offered) in the way of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: For this you will have seven hundred she-camels on the Day of Judgment all of which will be muzzled.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو،
الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ بِنَاقَةٍ مَخْطُومَةٍ فَقَالَ هَذِهِ فِي سَبِيلِ
اللَّهِ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لَكَ بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ سَبْعُمِائَةِ نَاقِةٍ كُلُّهَا
مَخْطُومَةٌ " .

Jabir reported that a person who was known as Abu Humaid brought for him (the Holy Prophet) a cup of milk from al-Naqi'. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to him:
Why did you not cover it even with a wood across it?

" أَلاَّ خَمَّرْتَهُ وَلَوْ تَعْرُضُ عَلَيْهِ عُودًا " .

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messengor (may peace be upon him) said:
There should be a bedding for a man. a bedding for his wife and the third one for the guest, and the fourth one is for the Satan.

قَالَ لَهُ
" فِرَاشٌ لِلرَّجُلِ وَفِرَاشٌ لاِمْرَأَتِهِ وَالثَّالِثُ لِلضَّيْفِ وَالرَّابِعُ لِلشَّيْطَانِ " .

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said that there was a person who used to walk with pride because of his thick hair and fine mantles. He was made to sink in the earth and he would go on sinking in the earth until the Last Hour would come.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلاَّمٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُسْلِمٍ - عَنْ
مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي
قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ جُمَّتُهُ وَبُرْدَاهُ إِذْ خُسِفَ بِهِ الأَرْضُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي الأَرْضِ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ
" .

There was a person who walked with pride because of his (fine) mantles and well pleased with his personality. Allah made him sink in the earth and he would go on sinking in that until the Day of Resurrection.

" بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ
يَمْشِي فِي بُرْدَيْهِ قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ نَفْسُهُ فَخَسَفَ اللَّهُ بِهِ الأَرْضَ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ
الْقِيَامَةِ " .

فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الدَّهْرُ وَلاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ لِلْعِنَبِ الْكَرْمَ . فَإِنَّ الْكَرْمَ الرَّجُلُ الْمُسْلِمُ " .

رَآهُ غَيْرِي . قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ فَكَيْفَ رَأَيْتَهُ قَالَ كَانَ أَبْيَضَ مَلِيحًا مُقَصَّدًا .

الصُّحْبَةِ قَالَ
" أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أَبُوكَ ثُمَّ أَدْنَاكَ أَدْنَاكَ " .

O Allah, I am a human being and for any person amongst Muslims upon whom I hurl malediction or invoke curse or give him whipping make it a source of purity and mercy.

" اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ فَأَيُّمَا
رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ سَبَبْتُهُ أَوْ لَعَنْتُهُ أَوْ جَلَدْتُهُ فَاجْعَلْهَا لَهُ زَكَاةً وَرَحْمَةً " .

While a person was going along the path he found a thorny branch upon it. He pushed it to a side and Allah approved (this action) of his and (as a mark of appreciation) granted him pardon.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، مَوْلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي،
صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَمْشِي بِطَرِيقٍ
وَجَدَ غُصْنَ شَوْكٍ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ فَأَخَّرَهُ فَشَكَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ " .

A man was often cheated in buying. The Prophet said to him, "When you buy something, say (to the seller), No cheating." The man used to say so thenceforward .

" إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ ". فَكَانَ يَقُولُهُ.

A man amongst us declared that his slave would be freed after his death. The Prophet called for that slave and sold him. The slave died the same year.

When the Prophet put his feet in the stirrup and the she-camel got up carrying him he would start reciting Talbiya at the mosque of Dhul-Hulaifa.

While Allah's Apostle was distributing the booty at Al-Ja'rana, somebody said to him "Be just (in your distribution)." The Prophet replied, "Verily I would be miserable if I did not act justly."

" شَقِيتَ إِنْ لَمْ أَعْدِلْ ".

The Prophet (saws) passed by a man of the Ansar when he was giving his brother a warning against modesty. The Apostle of Allah (saws) said : Leave him alone, for modesty is a part of faith.

when a man sneezed beside the prophet (May peace be upon him), he said to him : Allah have mercy on you, but when he sneezed again, he said : The man has a cold in the head.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2120
Narrated Isma'il bin Ibrahim:
On the authority of a man from Banu Sulaim: I asked the Prophet (saws) to marry Umamah daughter of 'Abd al-Muttalib to me. So he married her to me without reciting the tashahhud (i.e. the sermon for marriage).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بَدَلُ بْنُ الْمُحَبَّرِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ ابْنِ أَخِي، شُعَيْبٍ الرَّازِيِّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ خَطَبْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَأَنْكَحَنِي مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَتَشَهَّدَ .
