Safwan b. Ya'la quoting his father said:
I heard the Prophet (saws) read on the pulpit the verse: "They will cry: O Malik."
Abu Dawud said: That is, without shortening the name (Malik).

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
A Jewess presented a poisoned sheep to the Prophet (saws), but the Prophet (saws) did not interfere with he.
Abu Dawud said: The Jewess who poisoned the Prophet (saws) was sister of Marhab.

Narrated Qatadah:

Wabisa b. Ma'bad said that God’s Messenger saw a man praying alone behind the row and ordered him to repeat the prayer.
Ahmad Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan tradition.
وَعَنْ وَابِصَةَ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ قَالَ: رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ وَحْدَهُ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يُعِيدَ الصَّلَاةَ. رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ

‘A'isha said that when she parted God’s messenger’s hair she made a parting from the crown of his head and let his forelock hang between his eyes.

It is reported on the authority of Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas:
Both of my ears heard the Messenger of Allah saying this: He who claimed the fatherhood of anyone else besides his real father knowingly (committed a great sin) ;Paradise is forbidden to him. Abu Bakra asserted that he too heard it from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him ).
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ لَمَّا ادُّعِيَ زِيَادٌ لَقِيتُ أَبَا بَكْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ مَا هَذَا الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعَ أُذُنَاىَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَقُولُ
" مَنِ ادَّعَى أَبًا فِي الإِسْلاَمِ غَيْرَ أَبِيهِ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُ أَبِيهِ فَالْجَنَّةُ عَلَيْهِ حَرَامٌ " . فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

'Ata' ibn Abi Rabah reported that a man was praising another man
in the presence of Ibn 'Umar. Ibn 'Umar began to throw dust towards his
mouth. He said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant
him peace, said, 'When you see those who praise people, throw dust in their
faces.'"

But there is no Prophet after him.’”

It was narrated that Ibn Abi Mulaikah said:
The halter fell from the hand of Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq. He struck the foreleg of his she-camel to make her kneel down, and they said to him: Why did you not tell us to pass it to you? He said: My beloved the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed me not to ask the people for anything.

حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَيْرٍ الْغَافِقِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَغْلَةٌ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ أَنَّا أَنْزَيْنَا الْحُمُرَ عَلَى خَيْلِنَا فَجَاءَتْنَا بِمِثْلِ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ.

It was narrated from `Amr bin Sulaim Az-Zuraqi, from his mother, that she said:
Whilst we were in Mina, I saw `Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) on a camel, saying: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) says: `These are days of eating and drinking, so no one should fast.` And he followed the people [to convey this message]

It was narrated that Abu Hayyah al-Hamdani said:
‘Ali bin Abi Talib (رضي الله عنه) said: Whoever would like to see the wudoo’ of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), let him look at me. He did wudoo’ washing each part three times, then he wiped his head, then he drank the leftover water.

Malik related to me that Yahya ibn Said said, ''Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr died in his sleep, and A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, set free many slaves for him." Malik said, "This is what I like best of what I have heard on the subject."

Malik related to me from Yahya ibn Said that Sulayman ibn Yasar informed him that Abdullah ibn Abbas ibn Abi Rabia al-Makhzumi said, "Umar ibn al-Khattab gave me orders about the slaves of Quraysh and we flogged some of the slave-girls of the muslim lands fifty times each for fornication."

Yahya related to me from Malik from Alqama ibn Abi Alqama that his mother said, "Hafsa bint Abd ar-Rahman visited A'isha, the wife of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Hafsa was wearing a long thin head scarf. A'isha tore it in two and made a thick one for her."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ دَخَلَتْ حَفْصَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعَلَى حَفْصَةَ خِمَارٌ رَقِيقٌ فَشَقَّتْهُ عَائِشَةُ وَكَسَتْهَا خِمَارًا كَثِيفًا .

Yahya related to me from Malik that Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abi Sasaca said that he heard Abu'l-Hubab Said ibn Yasar say that he had heard Abu Hurayra say, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Allah afflicts the one for whom He desires good.'"

I asked `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa, "Did the Prophet make a will (to appoint his successor or bequeath wealth)?" He replied, "No." I said, "How is it prescribed then for the people to make wills, and they are ordered to do so while the Prophet did not make any will?" He said, "He made a will wherein he recommended Allah's Book."

It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah that his father said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to recite the Umm Al-Quran and two surahs in the first two rak'ahs of Zuhr and 'Asr, and in the last two with Umm Al-Quran, and he would make us hear a verse sometimes, and he used to make the first rak'ah lengthy."

Zakariyya bin Abi Za'idah narrated from Abu Ishaq, from Sa'id bin Jubair, that Ibn Abbas said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to pray witr with three rak'ahs. In the first he would recite "Glorify the Name of Your Lord, the Most High;" in the second: "Say: O You disbelievers!" and in the third: "Say: He is Allah, (the) One.'"

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father that Umar ibn Abi Salama saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, praying in one garment in the house of Umm Salama. He was completely covered by it, and had put both ends over his shoulders.
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ مُشْتَمِلاً بِهِ فِي بَيْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَاضِعًا طَرَفَيْهِ عَلَى عَاتِقَيْهِ .

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Jafar ibn Muhammad, from his father, that AIi ibn Abi Talib used to say the talbiya while on hajj until after noon on the day of Arafa, when he would stop doing so.
Yahya said that Malik said, "This is what the people of knowledge in our city are still doing."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، كَانَ يُلَبِّي فِي الْحَجِّ حَتَّى إِذَا زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ قَطَعَ التَّلْبِيَةَ . قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَذَلِكَ الأَمْرُ الَّذِي لَمْ يَزَلْ عَلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ بِبَلَدِنَا .

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Said ibn al-Musayyab, that Umar ibn Abi Salama once asked Umar ibn alKhattab for permission to do umra in Shawwal. He gave him permission, so he did umra and then went back to his family, and he did not do hajj.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ أَنْ يَعْتَمِرَ، فِي شَوَّالٍ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ فَاعْتَمَرَ ثُمَّ قَفَلَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَحُجَّ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab that Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib told him that Aqil and Talib inherited from Abu Talib, and Ali did not inheritfrom him. Ali said, "Because of that, we have given up our portion of ash Shab." (A house belonging to Banu Hashim).

Yahya related to me from Malik from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman that al-Qasim ibn Muhammad and Urwa ibn az-Zubayr said that a man who had four wives and then divorced one of them irrevocably, could marry straightaway if he wished, and he did not have to wait for the completion of her idda.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، أَنَّ الْقَاسِمَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، كَانَا يَقُولاَنِ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَكُونُ عِنْدَهُ أَرْبَعُ نِسْوَةٍ فَيُطَلِّقُ إِحْدَاهُنَّ الْبَتَّةَ أَنَّهُ يَتَزَوَّجُ إِنْ شَاءَ وَلاَ يَنْتَظِرُ أَنْ تَنْقَضِيَ عِدَّتُهَا .

Narrated `Aisha:
Fatima bint Abi Hubaish asked the Prophet, "I got persistent bleeding (in between the periods) and do not become clean. Shall I give up prayers?" He replied, "No, this is from a blood vessel. Give up the prayers only for the days on which you usually get the menses and then take a bath and offer your prayers."

" لاَ، إِنَّ ذَلِكِ عِرْقٌ، وَلَكِنْ دَعِي الصَّلاَةَ قَدْرَ الأَيَّامِ الَّتِي كُنْتِ تَحِيضِينَ فِيهَا، ثُمَّ اغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي ".

While we were going from Mina to `Arafat, I asked Anas bin Malik, about Talbiya, "How did you use to say Talbiya in the company of the Prophet?" Anas said: "People used to say Talbiya and their saying was not objected to and they used to say Takbir and that was not objected to either. "
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا وَنَحْنُ غَادِيَانِ مِنْ مِنًى إِلَى عَرَفَاتٍ عَنِ التَّلْبِيَةِ كَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تَصْنَعُونَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ كَانَ يُلَبِّي الْمُلَبِّي لاَ يُنْكَرُ عَلَيْهِ، وَيُكَبِّرُ الْمُكَبِّرُ فَلاَ يُنْكَرُ عَلَيْهِ.

"Aqil bin Abi Talib married a woman from Banu Jusham, and it was said to him: 'May you live in harmony and have many sons.' He said: 'Say what the Messenger of Allah said: Barak Allahu fikum, wa baraka lakum. (May Allah bless you and bestow blessings upon you.)'"

" بَارَكَ اللَّهُ فِيكُمْ وَبَارَكَ لَكُمْ " .

It was narrated that Musa bin Abi 'Aishah said:
"I asked Yahya bin Al-Jazzar about this Verse: and know that whatever of spoils of war that you may gain, verily, one-fifth of it is assigned to Allah, and to the Messenger". He said: "I said: 'How much of the Khumus did he Prophet take?' He said: 'One-fifth of the Khumus."'
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَحْبُوبٌ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ الْجَزَّارِ عَنْ هَذِهِ الآيَةِ، { وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا غَنِمْتُمْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ فَأَنَّ لِلَّهِ خُمُسَهُ وَلِلرَّسُولِ } قَالَ قُلْتُ كَمْ كَانَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنَ الْخُمُسِ قَالَ خُمُسُ الْخُمُسِ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4375
It was narrated from 'Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be please wityh him, that the messenger of Allah said:
"Do not sacrifice and animal with its ears slit from the front, and animal with its ears slit from the back, an animals with its ears slit lengthwise, and animal with a round hole in its ears, or an animal with one bad eye."
أَخْبَرَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ خَيْثَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ يُضَحَّى بِمُقَابَلَةٍ وَلاَ مُدَابَرَةٍ وَلاَ شَرْقَاءَ وَلاَ خَرْقَاءَ وَلاَ عَوْرَاءَ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4683
it was narrated from Isla'il bin Ibrahim bin 'Abdullah bin Abi Rabi'ah, from his father, that his grandfather said:
"The Prophet borrowed forty thousand from me, then some wealth came to him, and he paid me back and said: 'May Allah bless your family and your wealth for you: the reward for lending is praise and repayment."
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ اسْتَقْرَضَ مِنِّي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفًا فَجَاءَهُ مَالٌ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَىَّ وَقَالَ
" بَارَكَ اللَّهُ لَكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ وَمَالِكَ إِنَّمَا جَزَاءُ السَّلَفِ الْحَمْدُ وَالأَدَاءُ " .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1222
Narrated Abu Hurairah:
That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The dweller of the town is not to sell for the Bedouin."
[He said:] There are narrations on this topic from Talhah, Jabir, Anas, Ibn 'Abbas, Hakim bin Abi Yazid from his father, 'Amr bin 'Awf Al-Muzani the grandfather of Kathir bin 'Abdullah, and a man from the Companions of the Prophet (saws).
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ قُتَيْبَةُ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ يَبِيعُ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ طَلْحَةَ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَحَكِيمِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ جَدِّ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَرَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Abu Bakr is in Paradise, 'Umar is in Paradise, 'Uthman is in Paradise, 'Ali is in Paradise, Talhah is in Paradise, Az-Zubair is in Paradise, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf is in Paradise, Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas is in Paradise, Sa'eed bin Zaid is in Paradise, and Abu 'Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah is in Paradise."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" أَبُو بَكْرٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُمَرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعُثْمَانُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَلِيٌّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَطَلْحَةُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَالزُّبَيْرُ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعْدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَسَعِيدٌ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَأَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ، قِرَاءَةً عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ . قَالَ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَ هَذَا وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنَ الْحَدِيثِ الأَوَّلِ .
