Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “The last of the towns of Islam to become a ruin will be Medina," Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Ibn Mas'ud used to say, “It pertains to the sunna to repeat the tashahhud quietly.” Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Anas told that the Prophet cauterized As'ad b. Zurara because of a redness from which he suffered. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Asma’ daughter of Yazid said the sleeve of God’s messenger’s shirt came to the wrist. Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

‘A’isha reported God's Messenger as saying, “Make this marriage publicly known, solemnise it in the mosques, and play tambourines in honour of it.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Whoever plunders then he is not of us."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib as a Hadith of Anas.

He reported God's messenger as saying, "There are a hundred grades in paradise with a distance of a hundred years between every two." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Abu Barza reported God’s messenger as saying, “He who comforts a bereaved woman will be clothed with a striped garment in paradise.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Jabir told that God’s Messenger gave a desert Arab the right to rescind a bargain after having made it. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.

"The ring of the Messenger of Allah (saws) was made of silver, its Fass was from it."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib from this route.

Ibn ‘Umar told that when God’s messenger put on a turban he let the end hang between his shoulders. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Rukana reported the Prophet as saying, “The difference between us and the polytheists is that we wear turbans over caps.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition whose isnad is not reliable.

"The sleeves of (the shirt) of the Messenger of Allah (saws) were to the wrist."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib.

Abu Sa'id reported God's messenger as saying, "There are a hundred grades in paradise; if the universe were gathered in one of them it would hold it all." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn `Umar reported God's messenger as saying, "The infidel will drag his tongue a league and two leagues with people treading on it." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported that God’s messenger said, “There are two classes among my people who have no portion in Islam, the Murji’a and the Qadariya." Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

Sulaiman b. Surad reported God’s messenger as saying, "He who dies of an internal trouble will not be punished in his grave.” Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God's Messenger as saying, "Every sermon which does not contain a tashahhud is like a hand cut off.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “Nothing is more honourable in God’s sight than supplication.” Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

"The flag of the Messenger of Allah (saws) was black, and his standard was white."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib from this route, as a narration of Ibn 'Abbas.

Ubayy b. Ka‘b said that when God’s messenger mentioned anyone for whom he made supplication, he began with himself. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib sahih tradition.

‘Amr b. Shu'aib; on his father's authority, said his grandfather told that the Prophet used to take something off the side and the bottom of his beard. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Nubaisha reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone eats from a dish and licks it, the dish will ask forgiveness for him.” Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If you greet all and sundry, provide food, and strike the pates of enemies, you will be made heirs of paradise." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn Mas'ud reported God’s messenger as saying, “Ask God for some of His bounty, for God likes to be asked, and the most excellent worship is expectation of relief.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

"The Prophet (saws) liked sweets and honey."

This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib. 'Ali bin Mus-hir reported it from Hisham bin 'Urwah, and there is more stated in the Hadith than this.

‘Imran b. Husain said that the Prophet led them in prayer and forgot something, so he made two prostrations, then uttered the shahada, then gave the salutation. Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a hasan gharib tradition.

He said, referring to the day of Khaibar, that God’s messenger declared domestic asses, the flesh of mules, every beast of prey with a fang and every bird with a talon to be unlawful. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

In the time of God’s messenger we used to eat while walking and drink while standing. Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.

Al-Mughira b. Shu'ba reported God's messenger as saying, "On the day of resurrection the distinguishing sign of the believers on the Path will be, `My Lord, keep safe, keep safe'." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

'Ali reported God's messenger as saying, "In paradise there is a market in which there is no buying or selling, but only the forms of men and women; and when a man desires a form, he enters it." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Whoever prays twelve Rak'at of Duha, Allah will build a castle for him in Paradise." [Reported by at-Tirmidhi who graded it Gharib (reported by a single narrator)].

[Ibn ‘Abbas] reported God’s Messenger as saying, “God who is great and glorious will not look at a man who has intercourse with a man or a woman through the anus." Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying; this is a hasan gharib tradition.

"When the Messenger of Allah (saws) entered the area in which he would relieve himself, he would remove the ring."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib Hadith.

‘Ali and Mu'adh b. Jabal reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When any of you comes to pray and the imam is at a certain point, he must do as the imam does.” Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The martyr experiences no more pain in being killed than one of you experiences from a sting.” Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone enters a garden he may eat, but he must not take anything away in his clothing.” Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Sa'id and Abu Huraira reported God's Messenger as saying, “If the inhabitants of heaven and earth were to share in [shedding] the blood of a believer, God would overturn them in hell.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited selling the spoils of war until it has been distributed."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The martyr does not sense the touch of death except as one of you senses the touch of a (bug) bite.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib Sahih.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "The blessing of the horse is in its redness."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except from this route, from the narration of Shaiban.

“Do not force your invalids to eat, for God most high gives them food and drink.” Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Aba Sa‘id reported God's Messenger as saying, "The truthful and trusty merchant is associated with the prophets, the upright, and the martyrs." Tirmidhi, Darimi and Daraqutni transmitted it, and Ibn Majah transmitted it on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar. Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition.

Sahl b. Mu'adh b. Anas al-Juhani told that his father reported God’s Messenger as saying, "If anyone steps over people on Friday he will be made a bridge to jahannam." Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Sa'id reported God’s messenger as saying, "When you go in to visit an invalid, express a hope that he will live long. That will not avert anything, but it will comfort him.” Tirmidhl and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar reported the Prophet as saying, ‘‘Jahannam has seven gates, one of which is for those who draw a sword against my people,” or he said, "against Muhammad’s people.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, “If anyone finds pleasure in receiving an answer from God in times of difficulty, he should make many supplications when times are easy.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “Supplicate God when you are assured of being answered, and know that God does not answer a supplication which comes from a careless and inattentive heart.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) arrived in Makkah, and he had four braids."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib. Muhammad said: "I do not know of Mujahid (a narrator) hearing from Umm Hani."

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) would eat snake cucumber with fresh dates.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib, we do not know of it except as a narration of Ibrahim bin Sa'd.

‘Umar reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When you find a man has been unfaithful about spoil in God’s path, burn his goods and beat him.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, “Let him who can die in Medina, for I shall intercede for those who die in it." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a hasan sahih tradition whose isnad is gharib.

Hud b, ‘Abdallah b. Sa'd quoted his grandfather Mazida* as saying that on the day of the Conquest of Mecca God’s Messenger entered with gold and silver on his sword. *i.e. on his mother’s side. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported God’s messenger as saying, “When you perform ablution let the water run between your fingers and your toes.” Tirmidhi transmitted it and Ibn Majah transmitted something similar. Tirmidhi said that this is a gharib tradition.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Every divorce is allowable except that by an idiot or one whose mind is deranged.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition, and ‘Ata’ b. ‘Ajlan, the transmitter, is a weak authority whose traditions are rejected.

That the Prophet (saws) used to like it when he set out upon an affair if he heard: "O directed one, O successful one."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib.

"The Prophet (saws) had ring made of silver and its stone (Fass) was Ethiopian."

He said: There are narrations on this topic from Ibn 'Umar and Buraidah.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib from this route.

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “If anyone prays twelve rak'as in the forenoon God will build for him a castle of gold in paradise.” Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, but Tirmidhi said, “This is a gharib tradition which I know only by this line of transmission.”

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God's Messenger as saying, “Any Muslim who dies on Friday or on Thursday night will be protected by God from the testing in the grave." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying this is a gharib tradition whose isnad is not fully connected.

Ibn ‘Abbas said, "We were with God’s Messenger on a journey when the day of sacrifice came, and we shared with one another, seven for a cow and ten for a camel.” Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said this is a hasan gharib tradition.

‘A’isha said the Prophet used to eat melon with fresh dates. Tirmidhi transmitted it. Abu Dawud added that he used to say, “The heat of the one is broken by the coolness of the other, and the coolness of the one by the heat of the other.” Tirmidhi said this is a hasan gharib tradition.

He reported the Prophet as saying regarding the words of God most high, "And couches raised high[*]," that their height is like the distance between heaven and earth, a distance of five hundred years. *Quran; 56:34 Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

‘Abdallah b. [ash-] Shikhkhir reported God’s messenger as saying, “The son of Adam was created with ninety-nine trials at his side. If the trials miss him he falls into decrepitude till he dies.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying that this is a gharib tradition.

gentleness towards the weak, affection towards parents, and kindness to slaves.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

"I narrated heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying: 'Whoever seperates a mother from her child, Allah seperates him and his most beloved on the Day of Judgement.'"

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib.

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Allah forgave a man who was before you: He was tolerant when selling, tolerant when purchasing, and tolerant when repaying."

He said: This Hadith is Gharib Sahih Hasan from this route.

Ibn ‘Abbas told how the Prophet said, when a man cursed the wind in his presence, "Do not curse the wind, for it is under command; if anyone curses a thing which does not deserve it, the curse will return on himself." Tirmidhi transmitted it and said this is a gharib tradition.

‘Ali reported God’s messenger as saying, "The covering between the eyes of the jinn and the private parts of the children of Adam when one of them enters the privy is provided by his saying, ‘In the name of God.’” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying that this is a gharib tradition and that its isnad is not strong.

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying that no one will ever say sincerely, “There is no god but God” without the gates of heaven being opened for it so that it may come to the Throne, as long as he avoids major sins. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

That the Prophet (saws) would breathe three times in the vessel and say: "It is more wholesome and thirst quenching."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib. Hisham Ad-Dastawa'i reported it from Abu 'Isam, from Anas.

That the Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever fasts a day in the cause of Allah, Allah shall put between him and the Fire a trench whose distance is like that between the heavens and the earth."

This Hadith is Gharib as a narration of Abu Umamah.

Rafi‘ b. Khadij reported the Prophet as saying, “If anyone sows in other people’s land without their permission he has no right to any of the crop, but he may have what it cost him.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God’s messenger as saying that “Glory be to God” fills half the scale, “Praise be to God” fills it, and “There is no god but God” has no veil between it and God till it reaches Him. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition whose isnad is not strong.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) arrived in Makkah, and he had four braids."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hadith Gharib. 'Abdullah bin Abi Najih is from Makkah, and Abu Najih's name is Yasar.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited selling grapes until they appear and selling grains until they become firm."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it being Marfu' except from the narration of Hammad bin Salamah.

‘Ali reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The niggardly one is the man in whose presence I am mentioned but who does not invoke a blessing on me.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted it from al-Husain b. ‘Ali. Tirmidhi said this is a hasan sahih gharib tradition.

He [the Prophet (SAW)] forbade a transaction (combined with) a condition. at-Tabarani reported it through this chain of narrators in al-Awsat, and it is Gharib (reported by a single narrator).

Jabir reported God’s messenger as saying, "On the day of resurrection, when people who have suffered affliction are given their reward, those who are healthy will wish their skins had been cut to pieces with scissors when they were in the world.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying that this is a gharib tradition.

marriage, divorce and taking back a wife after a divorce which is not final.” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

Umm Habiba reported God's messenger as saying, "Everything a son of Adam says counts against him and not in his favour, except recommending what is good, prohibiting what is objectionable, or making mention of God." Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

Talha b. ‘Ubaidallah told that when the Prophet saw the new moon he said, “O God, make the new moon rise on us with security, faith, safety and Islam. My Lord and your Lord is God.” Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.

"The Prophet (saws) said: Eat of its oil and use it (the olives), for indeed it is from a blessed tree."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib from this route. We only know of it from the narration of Sufyan At-Thawri, from 'Abdullah bin 'Eisa.

Abu Bakr said that God’s messenger mounted the pulpit, then wept and said, "Ask God for forgiveness and health, for after being granted certainty, one is given nothing better than health." Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan tradition whose isnad is gharib.

Al-Bara’ said, "I accompanied God’s Messenger on eighteen journeys and I never saw him fail to pray two rak'as when the sun had passed the meridian before praying the noon prayer.” Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying that this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar told that when the Prophet heard the sound of thunder and of thunderbolts he said, "O God, do not kill us with Thine anger and do not destroy us with Thy punishment, but preserve us before that happens." Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, the latter saying that this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Abbas reported the Prophet as saying, "The best number of companions is four, the best number in expeditions four hundred, and the best number in armies four thousand; and twelve thousand will not be overcome through smallness of numbers." Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Darimi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.

The one who has the most concerns is the believer who is concerned about both his worldly affairs and his Hereafter."' (Da'if)Abu 'Abdullah said: "This Hadith is Gharib' Isma'il, alone, has narrated it."

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "If a young man honours an older person on account of his age, Allah appoints someone to show reverence to him in his old age"

"The foreleg was not the part of the meat that the Messenger of Allah (saws) liked most, but he would not get meat but occasionally. So it would be hastened to him because it cooks quickly."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we do not know of it except from this route.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited eating the cat and from its price."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib. We do not know of any major (known) narrators who reports from 'Umar bin Zaid (one of the narrators) besides 'Abdur-Razzaq.

Samura[*] reported God's messenger as saying, "Every prophet has a pond and they will vie with one another about which of them will have the largest number coming down to it. I hope that I may have the largest number." *Samura b. Jundub. Tirmidhi transmitted it, saying this is a gharib tradition.

Ibn ‘Umar reported God’s messenger as saying, "Supplication is beneficial regarding things which have happened and things which have not happened, so devote yourselves to supplication, servants of God." Tirmidhi transmitted it, and Ahmad transmitted it from Mu'adh b. Jabal. Tirmidhi said this is a gharib tradition.

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited that a man should put on sandals while he is standing."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib. Muhammad bin Isma'il said: "This Hadith is not correct, not the Hadith of Ma'mar from 'Ammar bin Abi 'Ammar, from Abu Hurairah (no.1775)."

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited Al-Muhaqalah, Al-Muzabanah, Al-Mukhabarah, and making an exception (in a sale) unless it is made known."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih, Gharib from this route as narration of Yunus bin 'Ubaid, from 'Ata, from Jabir.
