The Prophet said, "The painters of these pictures will be punished on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them, 'Make alive what you have created."

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Nafi with another chain of transmitters.

My father said, "I saw the Prophet passing wet hands over his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather)."

The men used to pray with the Prophet with their Izars tied around their necks as boys used to do; therefore the Prophet told the women not to raise their heads till the men sat down straight (while praying).

The Prophet used to stand (in the prayer) or pray till both his feet or legs swelled. He was asked why (he offered such an unbearable prayer) and he said, "should I not be a thankful slave."

The Prophet was asked about the offspring of pagans (Mushrikeen); so he said, "Allah knows what sort of deeds they would have done."

In the year of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet entered Mecca from Kada' and left Mecca from Kuda, from the higher part of Mecca.

In the year of the conquest of Mecca, the Prophet entered Mecca from the side of Kada. `Urwa used to enter through both places and he often entered through Kada' which was nearer of the two to his dwelling place.

The Prophet sent me (to Mina) with the luggage from Jam' (i.e. Al-Muzdalifa) at night.

Allah's Apostle said, "Search for the Night of Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan."

My father bought a slave who practiced the profession of cupping. (My father broke the slave's instruments of cupping). I asked my father why he had done so. He replied, "The Prophet forbade the acceptance of the price of a dog or blood, and also forbade the profession of tattooing, getting tattooed and receiving or giving Riba, (usury), and cursed the picture-makers."

"The Messenger of Allah (saws) prohibited breathing in the vessel, or blowing into it."

Al-Hasan reported on the authority of his mother that she was Umm Salamah pouring water on the urine of the male child until the age when he did not eat food. When he began to eat food, she would wash (his urine). And she would wash the urine of the female child.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to place his right hand on his left hand, then he folded them strictly on his chest in prayer.

'A'isha reported that the husband of Barira was a slave.

This hadith is narrated on the authority of Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) but with this variation that no mention is made of the dates (which one finds) at the end of the previous hadith.

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Zuhri.

A similar tradition has been transmitted by a different chain of narrators, on the same authority with a slight difference In the wording.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (i. e. he drank in three gulps).

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Huraira with a slight variation of wording.

I married a woman and later on a woman came and said, "I suckled you both." So, I went to the Prophet (to ask him about it). He said, "How can you (keep her as a wife) when it has been said (that you were foster brother and sister)? Leave (divorce) her.

The Prophet said, "Last night two men came to me (in a dream) and made me ascend a tree and then admitted me into a better and superior house, better of which I have never seen. One of them said, 'This house is the house of martyrs."

The Prophet said, "The sun and the moon will be folded up (deprived of their light) on the Day of Resurrection."

That the Prophet used to take him and Al-Hasan, and used to say, "O Allah! I love them, so please love them," or said something similar.

Abu Dawud said: According to some (scholars), there is a narrator between the narrator Khalid and Abu Qilabah.

The tradition about the sister of 'Uqbah b. 'Amir as narrated by Hisham, but he made no mention of the sacrificial animal. In his version he said: Ask your sister to ride.

Abu Dawud said: Khalid narrated it from 'Ikrimah to the same effect as narrated by Hisham.

The Prophet (saws) said: If anyone pays in advance he must not transfer it to someone else before he receives it.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) forbade every intoxicant and everything which produces languidness.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to eat melon with fresh dates, and he used to say: The heat of the one is broken by the coolness of the other, and the coolness of the one by the heat of the other.

We used to take it away (i.e. silk) from boys, and leave it for girls. Mis'ar said: I asked Amr ibn Dinar about it, but he did not know it.

The Prophet (saws) used to wear tanned leather sandals and dye his beard yellow with wars and saffron, and Ibn 'Umar used to do that too.

The Prophet (saws) said: Blood-wit for every wound which lays bare a bone is five camels.

The Prophet (saws) said: He who is two-faced in this world will have two tongues of fire on the Day of Resurrection.

A desert Arab came to the Prophet (saws) and began to speak. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: In eloquence there is magic and in poetry there is wisdom.
