Sunan Abi Dawud 3094
Narrated Usamah b. Zaid:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) went out to visit 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy during his illness of which he died. When he entered upon him, he realised death on him. He said: I used to forbid you from the love of Jews. He ('Abd Allah) said: As'ad b. Zurarah hated them. So what (the benefited) ? When he died, his son came and said: Prophet of Allah, 'Abd Allah b. Ubayy has died, give me your shirt, so that I shroud him in it. The Messenger of Allah (saws) took off his shirt and gave it to him.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أُبَىٍّ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عَرَفَ فِيهِ الْمَوْتَ قَالَ
" قَدْ كُنْتُ أَنْهَاكَ عَنْ حُبِّ يَهُودَ " . قَالَ فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ أَسْعَدُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ فَمَهْ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَتَاهُ ابْنُهُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أُبَىٍّ قَدْ مَاتَ فَأَعْطِنِي قَمِيصَكَ أُكَفِّنْهُ فِيهِ . فَنَزَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَمِيصَهُ فَأَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ .

’Abd al-Rahman al-Mu’awl said:
‘Abd Allah b. ‘Umar saw me playing with pebbles during prayer. When he finished his prayer, he forbade me (to do so) and said: Do as the Apostle (may peace be upon him) used to do. I asked him: How would the Messenger of Allah(may peace be upon him) do? He said: When he sat during the prayer (for reciting the tashahhud), he placed his right hand on his right thigh, and clenched all his fingers, and pointed with the finger which is adjacent to the thumb, and he placed his left hand on his left thigh.
حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُعَاوِيِّ، قَالَ رَآنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَا أَعْبَثُ بِالْحَصَى فِي الصَّلاَةِ فَلَمَّا انْصَرَفَ نَهَانِي وَقَالَ اصْنَعْ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ . فَقُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَصْنَعُ قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُمْنَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُمْنَى وَقَبَضَ أَصَابِعَهُ كُلَّهَا وَأَشَارَ بِأُصْبُعِهِ الَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ وَوَضَعَ كَفَّهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى فَخِذِهِ الْيُسْرَى .

When Ali married Fatimah, the Prophet (saws) said to him: Give her something. He said: I have nothing with me. He said: Where is your Hutamiyyah (coat of mail).

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah:
Musaykah, a slave-girl of some Ansari, came and said: My master forces me to commit fornication. Thereupon the following verse was revealed: "But force not your maids to prostitution (when they desire chastity)."

The Messenger of Allah (saws) used to give a quarter of the booty as reward after the fifty had been kept off, and a third after the fifth had been kept off when he returned.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said to us: When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down.

" فَقَلَصَ عَنْهُ الظِّلُّ وَصَارَ بَعْضُهُ فِي الشَّمْسِ وَبَعْضُهُ فِي الظِّلِّ فَلْيَقُمْ " .

The Prophet (saws) said: When one of you comes to an assembly, he should give a salutation and if he feels inclined to get up, he should give a salutation, for the former is not more of a duty than the latter.

" إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْمَجْلِسِ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَقُومَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَلَيْسَتِ الأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ " .

Wa’il al-Hadrami said that Tariq b. Suwaid asked the Prophet about wine and he forbade him. When he told him that he made it only as a medicine he replied, “It is not a medicine, but is a disease.”
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ وَائِلٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ أَنَّ طَارِقَ بْنَ سُوَيْدٍ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْخَمْرِ فَنَهَاهُ. فَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا أَصْنَعُهَا لِلدَّوَاءِ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِدَوَاءٍ وَلَكِنَّهُ دَاءٌ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ

Zahir al-Aslami said he was kindling fire under pots which contained asses' flesh when God's messenger's crier made an announcement to the effect that God's messenger prohibited asses' flesh to the people.

وَعَن زاهرٍ الأسلميِّ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأُوقِدُ تَحْتَ الْقُدُورِ بِلُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ إِذْ نَادَى مُنَادِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْهَاكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيّ

He told that when Sa'id b. Mu'adh was shot in the median vein of his arm the Prophet with his own hand cauterized it with a broad arrow head. Afterwards it swelled up and he cauterized it a second time.

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: رُمِيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ فِي أكحله فحمسه النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ بِمِشْقَصٍ ثمَّ ورمت فحمسه الثَّانِيَة. رَوَاهُ مُسلم

As-Sa’ib b. Yazid, on his father’s authority, said that when the Prophet made supplication and raised his hands, he wiped his face with them.

“(Wrongdoing) is when a rich man takes a long time to repay a debt, and if one of you is referred to a rich man (to collect a debt), he should accept that referral.”

narrated that ‘Abdullah bin Sa’ib said:
“The Messenger of
Allah
(saw) recited Al-Mu’minun [Al-Mu’minun 23] in the Subh prayer,
and when he came to the mention of ‘Eisa, he was overcome with a
cough, so he bowed in Ruku’.”

used to feel sorry for the Messenger of Allah (saw) because he

pains to keep his arms away from his sides when he prostrated.”

‘When a man wakes up at night and wakes his wife,

they pray two Rak’ah, they will be recorded among the men and
women
who remember Allah much.”

It was narrated from Aban bin `Uthman that He saw a funeral coming. When he saw it he stood up and said. I saw `Uthman doing that and he told me that he saw the Prophet (ﷺ) doing that.

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1047
It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) often used to say when bowing and prostrating: 'Subhanaka Rabbana wa bi Hamdika, Allahumm aghfirli (Glorfy and praise be to You, our Lord. O Allah, forgive me.).'"

'Amr bin 'Abdullah bin Az-Zubair narrated that:
His father said: "When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sat in the second or fourth rak'ah, he would place his hands on his knees and point with his finger."

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1269
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:
When the Messenger of Allah (SAW) sat during the prayer, he put his hands on his knees and raised the finger that is next to the thumb, and supplicates with it, and his left hand was on his knee laid on it.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا جَلَسَ فِي الصَّلاَةِ وَضَعَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ وَرَفَعَ أُصْبُعَهُ الَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ فَدَعَا بِهَا وَيَدَهُ الْيُسْرَى عَلَى رُكْبَتِهِ بَاسِطُهَا عَلَيْهَا .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1334
It was narrated from Jabir bin Yazid bin Al-Aswad, from his father that:
He prayed subh with the Messenger of Allah (SAW), and when he finished praying he turned away (from the Qiblah and toward the people.)

Sunan an-Nasa'i 1462
It was narrated that Abu Mas'ud said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The sun and the moon do not become eclipsed for the death or birth of anyone, rather they are two of the signs of Allah (SWT), the Mighty and Sublime, so when you see that then pray.'"

" إِنَّ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لاَ يَنْكَسِفَانِ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَكِنَّهُمَا آيَتَانِ مِنْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُمَا فَصَلُّوا " .

It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abi Bakr that:
He heard Abbad bin Tamim said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) went out and prayed for rain, and he turned his rida' around when he turned to the Qiblah."

He saw the Messenger of Allah (SAW), when he prayed for rain, turn to face the Qiblah, turning his cloak around and raising his hands.

Narrated Abu Huraira:
The Prophet said, "Sometimes when I return home and find a date fallen on my bed, I pick it up in order to eat it, but I fear that it might be from a Sadaqa, so I throw it."
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِنِّي لأَنْقَلِبُ إِلَى أَهْلِي، فَأَجِدُ التَّمْرَةَ سَاقِطَةً عَلَى فِرَاشِي فَأَرْفَعُهَا لآكُلَهَا، ثُمَّ أَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ صَدَقَةً فَأُلْفِيَهَا ".

Yahya related to me from Malik that Nafi said, "I stood behind Abdullah ibn Umar in one of the prayers when there was no one else with him, and he reached behind with his hand and placed me beside him."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قُمْتُ وَرَاءَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فِي صَلاَةٍ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ وَلَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ غَيْرِي فَخَالَفَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بِيَدِهِ فَجَعَلَنِي حِذَاءَهُ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Umar ibn al-Khattab used to order the rows to be straightened, and when they had come to him and told him that the rows were straight he would say the takbir.
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، كَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِتَسْوِيَةِ الصُّفُوفِ فَإِذَا جَاءُوهُ فَأَخْبَرُوهُ أَنْ قَدِ اسْتَوَتْ كَبَّرَ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa that his father used to salute all the corners when he did tawaf of the House and did not omit the Yamani corner unless he was prevented from it.
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، أَنَّ أَبَاهُ، كَانَ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ يَسْتَلِمُ الأَرْكَانَ كُلَّهَا وَكَانَ لاَ يَدَعُ الْيَمَانِيَ إِلاَّ أَنْ يُغْلَبَ عَلَيْهِ .
