Shakal ibn Humayd said, "Messenger of Allah, teach me a supplication
that will benefit me." He said, "Say:
'O Allah, protect me from the evil
of my sight and hearing, my tongue, my heart, and the evil of my desire.'"

وَعَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: ذَهَبْتُ أَسُبُّ حَسَّانَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ، فَقَالَتْ: لاَ تَسُبَّهُ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يُنَافِحُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Qutbah bin Malik (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) used to say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from evil morals, deeds, passions and diseases.” Related by At-Tirmidhi. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih and it is his version.

Abu ad-Darda’ (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) said, “If a Muslim defends his brother’s honor in his absence, Allah will protect his face from the fire of Hell on the Day of Resurrection.” Related by At-Tirmidhi who graded it to be Hasan.

This hadith has been narrated by Hisham b. 'Urwa with the same chain of transmitters but with this addition:
" Verily the sun and the moon are among the signs of Allah." And similarly this addition was made:" He then lifted his hands and said: O Allah! have I not conveyed it?"

This hadith has been narrated by Abu Huraira through another chain of transmitters:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:" When a person does not pay what is due to Allah or Sadaqa of his camels...." The rest of the hadith is the same.

" إِذَا لَمْ يُؤَدِّ الْمَرْءُ حَقَّ اللَّهِ أَوِ الصَّدَقَةَ فِي إِبِلِهِ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ .

Fadl bin Mubashshir said:
"I saw Jabir bin 'Abdullah performing every prayer with one ablution, and I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah doing this, and I am doing as the Messenger of Allah did.'"

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas' that :
Sa'd bin 'Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah (SAW) about a vow which his mother had made, but she had died without fulfilling it. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Fulfill it on her behalf ."

" اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا " .

who suffers from seasickness is like one who gets drenched in

blood in the cause of Allah.”

‘Wailing is one of the affairs of the Days of Ignorance,

if the woman who wails dies without having repented, Allah will
cut a
garment of pitch (tar) for her and a shirt of flaming fire.’”

A white man by whose face rain may be sought, a refuge for orphans and protection for widows.
Abu Bakr said: By Allah, that refers to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).

"أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، كان إذا أوى إلى فراشه كل ليلة جمع كفيه، ثم نفث فيهما فقرأ فيهما: قل هو الله أحد، وقل أعوذ برب الفلق، وقل أعوذ برب الناس، ثم مسح بهما ما استطاع من جسده، يبدأ بهما على رأسه ووجهه، وما أقبل من جسده، يفعل ذلك ثلاث مرات". " نُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ فَإِذَا قَالُوا لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ حَرُمَتْ عَلَيْنَا دِمَاؤُهُمْ وَأَمْوَالُهُمْ إِلاَّ بِحَقِّهَا وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ " .

" عَلَيْكَ بِالْهِجْرَةِ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ مِثْلَ لَهَا " .

" ضَحِّ بِهَا " .

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:
"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] cursed the women who do tattoos and the women who have them done, Al-Mutanammisat, and the women who have their teeth separated for the sake of beauty, those who change (the creation of Allah.)"

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:
The Messenger of Allah [SAW] put on a ring of gold and put its stone (Fass) toward his palm. Then the people started to wear rings, and the Messenger of Allah [SAW] discarded it and said: "I will never wear it again."

Narrated Abu Ayyub:
"I narrated heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying: 'Whoever seperates a mother from her child, Allah seperates him and his most beloved on the Day of Judgement.'"
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib.

" مَنْ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَ الْوَالِدَةِ وَوَلَدِهَا فَرَّقَ اللَّهُ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ أَحِبَّتِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .

" غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِرَجُلٍ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ كَانَ سَهْلاً إِذَا بَاعَ سَهْلاً إِذَا اشْتَرَى سَهْلاً إِذَا اقْتَضَى " . قَالَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ .

" مَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ يَدْعُو بِدُعَاءٍ إِلاَّ آتَاهُ اللَّهُ مَا سَأَلَ أَوْ كَفَّ عَنْهُ مِنَ السُّوءِ مِثْلَهُ مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ " . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَعُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ .

" اثْبُتْ أُحُدُ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ نَبِيٌّ وَصِدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

" اللَّهُمَّ لاَ عَيْشَ إِلاَّ عَيْشُ الآخِرَةِ فَاغْفِرْ لِلأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَةِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَأَبُو حَازِمٍ اسْمُهُ سَلَمَةُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ الأَعْرَجُ الزَّاهِدُ .وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ .

" اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِعَظَمَتِكَ أَنْ أُغْتَالَ مِنْ تَحْتِي " . قَالَ جُبَيْرٌ وَهُوَ الْخَسْفُ . قَالَ عُبَادَةُ فَلاَ أَدْرِي قَوْلَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ قَوْلَ جُبَيْرٍ .

One from the family of Sa'd narrated:
"Sa'd fell sick and the Messenger of Allah entered upon him and he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall I bequeath all my money?' He said: 'No.'" And he quoted the same Hadith.

" اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا ".

Humaid ibn 'Abd ar-Rahman relates on the authority of a man from among the Companions of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace):
"The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to comb his hair at intervals.”

Narrated Nu'aym ibn Hammar:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: Allah, the Exalted, says: Son of Adam, do not be helpless in performing four rak'ahs for Me at the beginning of the day: I will supply what you need till the end of it.

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) said that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) effected separation between the two members of Banu al-'Ajlan, and said:
Allah knows that one of you is a liar. Is there one to repent among you?

If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, Allah will set free from Hell an organ of his body for every organ of his (slave's) body.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1171
Uqbah bin Amir narrated that The Messenger of Allah said:
“Beware of entering upon women.” So a man from the Ansar said: ‘”O Messenger of Allah! What do you think about Hamu? So he said: “The Hamu is death.”
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدُّخُولَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ " . فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَرَأَيْتَ الْحَمْوَ قَالَ " الْحَمْوُ الْمَوْتُ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عُمَرَ وَجَابِرٍ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَإِنَّمَا مَعْنَى كَرَاهِيَةِ الدُّخُولِ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا رُوِيَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ يَخْلُوَنَّ رَجُلٌ بِامْرَأَةٍ إِلاَّ كَانَ ثَالِثَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ " . وَمَعْنَى قَوْلِهِ " الْحَمْوُ " . يُقَالُ هُوَ أَخُو الزَّوْجِ كَأَنَّهُ كَرِهَ لَهُ أَنْ يَخْلُوَ بِهَا .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2036
Qatadah bin An-Nu'man narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"When Allah loves a slave, He prevents him from the world, just as one of you prevents his sick from water."
Another chain reports a similar narration.

" إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَا يَظَلُّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَحْمِي سَقِيمَهُ الْمَاءَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ وَأُمِّ الْمُنْذِرِ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُرْسَلاً .
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قال أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَتَادَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ الظَّفَرِيُّ هُوَ أَخُو أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ لأُمِّهِ وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ لَبِيدٍ قَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرَآهُ وَهُوَ غُلاَمٌ صَغِيرٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2299
Ayman bin Khuraim narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w) stood to give a Khutbah and said:
"O you people False witness is tantamount to Shirk with Allah" Then the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w)recited: So shun the Rijs of the idols, and shun false speech.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الأَسَدِيِّ، عَنْ فَاتِكِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ أَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَامَ خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ
" يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُدِلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ إِشْرَاكًا بِاللَّهِ " . ثُمَّ قَرَأَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم : (وَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ ) . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ وَاخْتَلَفُوا فِي رِوَايَةِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ زِيَادٍ . وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لأَيْمَنَ بْنِ خُرَيْمٍ سَمَاعًا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Narrated Abu Hurairah:
"I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) saying: 'Whoever frees a believing slave, then Allah frees a limb from the Fire for each of his limbs, such that he frees his private parts in lieu of his private parts.'"
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ ابْنِ مَرْجَانَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُؤْمِنَةً أَعْتَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بِكُلِّ عُضْوٍ مِنْهُ عُضْوًا مِنَ النَّارِ حَتَّى يُعْتِقَ فَرْجَهُ بِفَرْجِهِ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ وَعَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَوَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الأَسْقَعِ وَأَبِي أُمَامَةَ وَعُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ وَكَعْبِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَابْنُ الْهَادِ اسْمُهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ وَهُوَ مَدَنِيٌّ ثِقَةٌ قَدْ رَوَى عَنْهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ وَغَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ .

The tie of kinship is suspended to the Throne and says: He who unites me Allah would unite him and he who severed me Allah would sever him.

" الرَّحِمُ مُعَلَّقَةٌ بِالْعَرْشِ تَقُولُ مَنْ وَصَلَنِي وَصَلَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ
قَطَعَنِي قَطَعَهُ اللَّهُ " .

It is Allah Who knows what they would be doing.

" اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا عَامِلِينَ " .

He who wants to publicise (his deeds), Allah will publicise (his humility), and he who makes a hypocritical display (of his deeds), Allah will make a display of him.

Ibn Mas'ud said:
Since our acceptance of Islam and the revelation of this verse in which Allah has shown annoyance to us:" Has not the time yet come for the believers that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah?" (lvii. 16), there was a gap of four years.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa:
Allah's Apostle invoked evil upon the clans saying, "Allah, the Revealer of the Holy Book (i.e. the Qur'an), the Quick Taker of the accounts! Please defeat the clans. O Allah! Defeat them and shake them."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَزَارِيُّ، وَعَبْدَةُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَى ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الأَحْزَابِ فَقَالَ
" اللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ، سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ، اهْزِمِ الأَحْزَابَ، اللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ ".
