Sunan an-Nasa'i 1600
It was narrated from Sa'd bin Ishaq bin Ka'b bin Ujrah, from his father, that:
His grandfather said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) prayed Maghrib in the masjid of Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal, and when he finished praying some people stood up and offered Nafl prayers. The Prophet (SAW) said: 'You should offer this prayer in your houses.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفِطْرِيُّ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَةَ الْمَغْرِبِ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ فَلَمَّا صَلَّى قَامَ نَاسٌ يَتَنَفَّلُونَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الصَّلاَةِ فِي الْبُيُوتِ " .

Sahih al-Bukhari 3067
Narrated Nafi' (ra):
A horse of Ibn 'Umar fled and the enemy took it. Then the Muslims conquered the enemy and the horse was returned to him during the lifetime of Allah's Messenger (saws). And also, once a slave of Ibn 'Umar (ra) fled and joined the Byzantines, and when the Muslims conquered them, Khalid bin Al-Walid returned the slave to him after the death of the Prophet (saws).
قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ ذَهَبَ فَرَسٌ لَهُ، فَأَخَذَهُ الْعَدُوُّ، فَظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِ الْمُسْلِمُونَ فَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَأَبَقَ عَبْدٌ لَهُ فَلَحِقَ بِالرُّومِ، فَظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ، فَرَدَّهُ عَلَيْهِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بَعْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.

Amr bin Alī Abū Hafs narrated to us, he said I heard Yahyā bin Sa’īd, he said:
‘I asked Sufyān ath-Thawrī , Shu’bah, Mālik, and Ibn Uyaynah about a man who is not reliable (Thabt) in Ḥadīth, and someone comes and asks me about him, and they said: ‘Inform [others] against him that he is not reliable’.’
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ أَبُو حَفْصٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيَّ وَشُعْبَةَ وَمَالِكًا وَابْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الرَّجُلِ لاَ يَكُونُ ثَبْتًا فِي الْحَدِيثِ فَيَأْتِينِي الرَّجُلُ فَيَسْأَلُنِي عَنْهُ . قَالُوا أَخْبِرْ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ بِثَبْتٍ .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 2821b
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:
"Zaid bin Arqam came and Ibn Abbas said to him, reminding him: "What did you tell me about the game meat that was given to the Messenger of Allah when he was in Ihram?" He said: "Yes, a man gave him a piece of game meat but he returned it and said: 'We cannot eat it, we are in Ihram.'"
أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى، وَسَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَاصِمٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَرْقَمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَسْتَذْكِرُهُ كَيْفَ أَخْبَرْتَنِي عَنْ لَحْمِ، صَيْدٍ أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ حَرَامٌ قَالَ نَعَمْ أَهْدَى لَهُ رَجُلٌ عُضْوًا مِنْ لَحْمِ صَيْدٍ فَرَدَّهُ وَقَالَ
" إِنَّا لاَ نَأْكُلُ إِنَّا حُرُمٌ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3960
It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Al-Walid bin 'Ubadah bin As-Samit that 'Aishah said:
"I looked for the Messenger of Allah and I put my hand on his hair." He said: "Your Shaitan has come to you." I said: "Don't you have a Shaitan?" He said: "Yes, but Allah helped me with him, so he submitted."
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى، - هُوَ ابْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ - عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتِ الْتَمَسْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَدْخَلْتُ يَدِي فى شَعْرِهِ فَقَالَ " قَدْ جَاءَكِ شَيْطَانُكِ " . فَقُلْتُ أَمَا لَكَ شَيْطَانٌ فَقَالَ " بَلَى وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3405
Fatimah bint Qais narrated that Abu 'Amr bin Hafs Al-Makhzumi divorced her thrice. Khalid bin Al-Walid went with a group of (the tribe of) Makhzum to the Messenger of Allah and said:
"O Messenger of Allah! Abu 'Amr bin Hafs has divorced Fatimah thrice, is she entitled to provision?" He said: "She is not entitled to provision nor shelter."
أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، - وَهُوَ الأَوْزَاعِيُّ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ، أَنَّ أَبَا عَمْرِو بْنَ حَفْصٍ الْمَخْزُومِيَّ، طَلَّقَهَا ثَلاَثًا فَانْطَلَقَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ فِي نَفَرٍ مِنْ بَنِي مَخْزُومٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبَا عَمْرِو بْنَ حَفْصٍ طَلَّقَ فَاطِمَةَ ثَلاَثًا فَهَلْ لَهَا نَفَقَةٌ فَقَالَ
" لَيْسَ لَهَا نَفَقَةٌ وَلاَ سُكْنَى " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4837
It was narrated from Al-Ash'ath bin sulaim, from his father that a man from among Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu' said:
"I came to the Prophet when he was speaking, and a man said: 'O Messenger of Allah, these are Banu Tha'labah bin Yarbu' who killed so and so.' The Messenger of Allah said: 'No,' meaning no soul is affected by the sin of another. "
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الأَشْعَثِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلاَءِ بَنُو ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ يَرْبُوعٍ الَّذِينَ أَصَابُوا فُلاَنًا . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" لاَ - يَعْنِي - لاَ تَجْنِي نَفْسٌ عَلَى نَفْسٍ " .

Sahih Muslim 1958 a
Sa'id b. Jubair reported that Ibn 'Umar happened to pass by a party of men who had tied a hen and were shooting arrows at it. As soon as they saw Ibn 'Umar, they scattered from it. Thereupon Ibn Umar said:
Who has done this? Verily Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) has invoked curse upon him who does this.
وَحَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ - وَاللَّفْظُ لأَبِي كَامِلٍ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو
عَوَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، قَالَ مَرَّ ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِنَفَرٍ قَدْ نَصَبُوا دَجَاجَةً يَتَرَامَوْنَهَا
فَلَمَّا رَأَوُا ابْنَ عُمَرَ تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْهَا . فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله
عليه وسلم لَعَنَ مَنْ فَعَلَ هَذَا .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1586
Narrated Bajalah bin 'Abdah :
"I was a scribe for Jaz' bin Mu'awiyah at Manadhir when 'Umar's letter came to us (saying): 'Inspect the Zoroastrians around you to take the Jizyah from them. For indeed 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf informed me that the Messenger of Allah (saws) took the Jizyah from the Zoroastrians of Hajar.'"
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ بَجَالَةَ بْنِ عَبْدَةَ، قَالَ كُنْتُ كَاتِبًا لِجَزْءِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَلَى مَنَاذِرَ فَجَاءَنَا كِتَابُ عُمَرَ انْظُرْ مَجُوسَ مَنْ قِبَلَكَ فَخُذْ مِنْهُمُ الْجِزْيَةَ فَإِنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَخَذَ الْجِزْيَةَ مِنْ مَجُوسِ هَجَرَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Sahih al-Bukhari 2172, 2173
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
The Prophet forbade Muzabana; and Muzabana is the selling of fresh fruit (without measuring it) for something by measure on the basis that if that thing turns to be more than the fruit, the increase would be for the seller of the fruit, and if it turns to be less, that would be of his lot. Narrated Ibn `Umar from Zaid bin Thabit that the Prophet allowed the selling of the fruits on the trees after estimation (when they are ripe).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ قَالَ وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يَبِيعَ الثَّمَرَ بِكَيْلٍ، إِنْ زَادَ فَلِي وَإِنْ نَقَصَ فَعَلَىَّ. قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا.

Sunan Abi Dawud 2744
Nafi’ reported on the authority of ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar “The Apostle of Allaah(saws) sent a detachment towards Najd. ‘Abd Allaah bin ‘Umar also accompanied it. They gained a large number of Camels as a booty. Their portion was twelve Camels each and they were rewarded (in addition) one Camel each. The version of Ibn Mawhab added “The Apostle of Allaah(saws) did not change it”
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، وَيَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، - الْمَعْنَى - عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً فِيهَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ قِبَلَ نَجْدٍ فَغَنِمُوا إِبِلاً كَثِيرَةً فَكَانَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمُ اثْنَىْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنُفِّلُوا بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا . زَادَ ابْنُ مَوْهَبٍ فَلَمْ يُغَيِّرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Narrated (rad):
Allah’s Messenger (saw) said, “The tanning of a dead animal’s skin purifies it”. [Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (sound)].
وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْمُحَبِّقِ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الْلَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ دِبَاغُ جُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ طُهُورُهاَ } صَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ حِبَّانَ 1 .

complete and are not shortened. And Witr when traveling is
Sunnah.”

Qais bin Talq bin Ali - [and he is] Al-Hanafi narrated from his father, that:

" وَهَلْ هُوَ إِلاَّ مُضْغَةٌ مِنْهُ أَوْ بَضْعَةٌ مِنْهُ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَبَعْضِ التَّابِعِينَ أَنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَرَوُا الْوُضُوءَ مِنْ مَسِّ الذَّكَرِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ . وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ أَحْسَنُ شَيْءٍ رُوِيَ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ . وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عُتْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ . وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ فِي مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ وَأَيُّوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ . وَحَدِيثُ مُلاَزِمِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَدْرٍ أَصَحُّ وَأَحْسَنُ .

" لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ إِنَّهُ خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ مَتَّى ". وَنَسَبَهُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
that Uman bin Al-Khattab said: "I sought permission (to enter) from the Messenger of Allah (SAW) three times, then he permitted me."
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو زُمَيْلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ اسْتَأْذَنْتُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثَلاَثًا فَأَذِنَ لِي . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ وَأَبُو زُمَيْلٍ اسْمُهُ سِمَاكٌ الْحَنَفِيُّ . وَإِنَّمَا أَنْكَرَ عُمَرُ عِنْدَنَا عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى حَيْثُ رَوَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ
" الاِسْتِئْذَانُ ثَلاَثٌ فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَكَ وَإِلاَّ فَارْجِعْ " . وَقَدْ كَانَ عُمَرُ اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثَلاَثًا فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ عَلِمَ هَذَا الَّذِي رَوَاهُ أَبُو مُوسَى عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَإِنْ أُذِنَ لَكَ وَإِلاَّ فَارْجِعْ .

" يُقْتَلُ فِيهَا هَذَا مَظْلُومًا " . لِعُثْمَانَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .

"The Prophet returned his daughter Zainab to Abul-As bin Ar-Rabi after six years in the first marriage without renewing the marriage."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ رَدَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ابْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِي بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بَعْدَ سِتِّ سِنِينَ بِالنِّكَاحِ الأَوَّلِ وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ نِكَاحًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ بَأْسٌ وَلَكِنْ لاَ نَعْرِفُ وَجْهَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَلَعَلَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ هَذَا مِنْ قِبَلِ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ .

(Another chain) from 'Ikrimah from the Prophet (saws) and it is similar but he did not mention "from Ibn 'Abbas" in it.
There is much more criticism than this for (this) narration of Ibn 'Uyainah.
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ كَلاَمٌ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ هَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَلاَ نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا يَذْكُرُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ غَيْرَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ . وَرَأَى بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ الدِّيَةَ عَشَرَةَ آلاَفٍ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ . وَقَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ لاَ أَعْرِفُ الدِّيَةَ إِلاَّ مِنَ الإِبِلِ وَهِيَ مِائَةٌ مِنَ الإِبِلِ أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا .

Sunan Ibn Majah 2732
It was
narrated from ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, from his father, that his
grandfather said:
“Rabab bin Hudhaifah (bin Sa’eed) bin Sahm
married
Umm Wa’il bint Ma’mar Al-Jumahiyyah, and she bore him
three sons.
Their mother died and her sons inherited her houses and
the Wala’ of
her freed slaves. ‘Amr bin ‘As took them out to
Sham, and they died of
the plague of ‘Amwas. ‘Amr inherited from
them, and he was their
‘Asabah.* When ‘Amr came back, Banu Ma’mar
came to him and they
referred their dispute with him concerning the
Wala’ of their sister
to ‘Umar. ‘Umar said: ‘I will judge
between you according to what I
heard from the Messenger of Allah
(saw). I heard him say: “What the
son or father acquires goes to
his. ‘Asabah, no matter who they are.’”
So he ruled in our
favour and wrote a document to that effect, in
which was the
testimony of ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Awf, Zaid bin Thabit and
someone
else. Then when ‘Abdul-Malik bin Marwan was appointed caliph,
a
freed slave of hers (Umm Wa’il’s) died, leaving behind two
thousand
Dinar. I heard that that ruling had been changed, so they
referred the
dispute to Hisham bin Isma’il. We referred the matter
to ‘Abdul-Malik,
and brought him the document of ‘Umar. He said:
‘I thought that this
was a ruling concerning which there was no
doubt. I never thought that
the people of Al-Madinah would reach such
a state that they would
doubt this ruling. So he ruled in our favour,
and it remained like
that afterwards.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ تَزَوَّجَ رِئَابُ بْنُ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ سُعَيْدِ بْنِ سَهْمٍ أُمَّ وَائِلٍ بِنْتَ مَعْمَرٍ الْجُمَحِيَّةَ فَوَلَدَتْ لَهُ ثَلاَثَةً فَتُوُفِّيَتْ أُمُّهُمْ فَوَرِثَهَا بَنُوهَا رِبَاعًا وَوَلاَءَ مَوَالِيهَا فَخَرَجَ بِهِمْ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ مَعَهُ إِلَى الشَّامِ فَمَاتُوا فِي طَاعُونِ عَمْوَاسَ فَوَرِثَهُمْ عَمْرٌو وَكَانَ عَصَبَتَهُمْ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ جَاءَ بَنُو مَعْمَرٍ يُخَاصِمُونَهُ فِي وَلاَءِ أُخْتِهِمْ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ أَقْضِي بَيْنَكُمْ بِمَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ
" مَا أَحْرَزَ الْوَلَدُ أَوِ الْوَالِدُ فَهُوَ لِعَصَبَتِهِ مَنْ كَانَ " . قَالَ فَقَضَى لَنَا بِهِ وَكَتَبَ لَنَا بِهِ كِتَابًا فِيهِ شَهَادَةُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَزَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ وَآخَرَ حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتُخْلِفَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ تُوُفِّيَ مَوْلًى لَهَا وَتَرَكَ أَلْفَىْ دِينَارٍ فَبَلَغَنِي أَنَّ ذَلِكَ الْقَضَاءَ قَدْ غُيِّرَ فَخَاصَمُوهُ إِلَى هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ فَرَفَعَنَا إِلَى عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ بِكِتَابِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ إِنْ كُنْتُ لأَرَى أَنَّ هَذَا مِنَ الْقَضَاءِ الَّذِي لاَ يُشَكُّ فِيهِ وَمَا كُنْتُ أَرَى أَنَّ أَمْرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ ...

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1241
Narrated Nafi':
"Ibn 'Umar and I went to Abu Sa'eed and he narrated to us: 'the Messenger of Allah (saws) said - and I heard him with these [two] ears: "Do not sell gold for gold except kind for kind, nor sliver for silver except kind for kind, do not exchange more of one than the other, and do not sell what is not present from them for what is present."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, Abu Hurairah, Hisham bin 'Amir, Al-Bara', Zaid bin Arqam, Fadalah bin 'Ubaid, Abu Bakrah, Ibn 'Umar, Abu Ad-Darda', and Bilal.
[He said:] The Hadith of Abu Sa'eed, from the Prophet (saws) [about Riba] is a Hasan Sahih Hadith.
This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge among the Companions of the Prophet (saws) and others, except for what has been related from Ibn 'Abbas; he did not see any harm in exchanging gold for gold or silver for silver, more for less, when it is done hand in hand, and he said: "Riba' is only in credit." Similar it has been related from some of his companions. It has been related that Ibn 'Abbas changed his opinion when Abu Sa'eed narrated it to him from the Prophet (saws). The first view is more correct.
And this is acted upon according to the people of knowledge [among the Companions of the Prophet (saws) and others]. It is the view of Sufyan Ath-Thawri, Ibn Al-Mubarak, Ash-Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. It has been reported that Ibn Al-Mubarak said: "There is no difference over exchange."

Mishkat al-Masabih 5497
Nafi told that when Ibn 'Umar once met Ibn Sayyad on one of. the roads of Medina he said something to him which angered him and he swelled up till he filled the street. Ibn `Umar went in to visit Hafsa who had heard of the incident, and she said, "God have mercy on you! What did you want with Ibn Sayyad? Do you not know that God s messenger said it would just be because of his being seized by a fit of anger that he[*] would come forth?"
*i.e., the Dajjal.
Muslim transmitted it.
وَعَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ: لَقِيَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ابْنَ صَيَّادٍ فِي بَعْضِ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ قَوْلًا أَغْضَبَهُ فَانْتَفَخَ حَتَّى مَلَأَ السِّكَّةَ. فَدَخَلَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ وَقَدْ بَلَغَهَا فَقَالَتْ لَهُ: رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ مَا أَرَدْتَ مِنِ ابْنِ صياد؟ أما علمت أَن رَسُول اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْ غضبةٍ يغضبها» . رَوَاهُ مُسلم

Musnad Ahmad 492
It was narrated that Nubaih bin Wahb said:
Ibn Ma`mar wanted to marry his son to the daughter of Shaibah bin Jubair. So he sent me to Aban bin `Uthman who was the Ameer of Hajj. I came to him and said to him: Your brother wants to arrange his son`s marriage and wants you to witness it. He said: I think you are no more than an ill-mannered Iraqi. The pilgrim in ihram should not get married or arrange a marriage. Then he narrated a similar report from `Uthman (رضي الله عنه) and attributed it to the Prophet (ﷺ)
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَرَادَ ابْنُ مَعْمَرٍ أَنْ يُنْكِحَ، ابْنَهُ ابْنَةَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَبَعَثَنِي إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَهُوَ أَمِيرُ الْمَوْسِمِ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ إِنَّ أَخَاكَ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُنْكِحَ ابْنَهُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يُشْهِدَكَ ذَاكَ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُرَاهُ عِرَاقِيًّا جَافِيًا إِنَّ الْمُحْرِمَ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِمِثْلِهِ يَرْفَعُهُ.

It was narrated that Abu `Abdur-Rahman as-Sulami said:
I heard ‘Ali (رضي الله عنه) say: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) sent Abu Marthad, az-Zubair bin al-`Awwam and me on a mission, and we were all horsemen. He said: “Go out until you come to Rawdat Khakh.` This is how Ibn Abu Shaibah said it “Khakh.” Ibn Numair said in his Hadeeth: `Rawdat such and such.” And Ibn Numair said: `Affan told us: Khalid told us: from Husain... a similar report. He said “Rawdat Khakh.`

Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abd al-Qari that Umar ibn al-Khattab said, "What is wrong with men who give their sons gifts and then keep them and if the son dies, they say, 'My property is in my possession and I did not give it to anyone.' But if they themselves are dying, they say, 'It belongs to my son, I gave it to him.' Whoever gives a gift, and does not hand it over to the one to whom it was given, the gift is invalid, and if he dies it belongs to the heirs in general."
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدٍ الْقَارِيِّ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ مَا بَالُ رِجَالٍ يَنْحَلُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ نُحْلاً ثُمَّ يُمْسِكُونَهَا فَإِنْ مَاتَ ابْنُ أَحَدِهِمْ قَالَ مَالِي بِيَدِي لَمْ أُعْطِهِ أَحَدًا . وَإِنْ مَاتَ هُوَ قَالَ هُوَ لاِبْنِي قَدْ كُنْتُ أَعْطَيْتُهُ إِيَّاهُ . مَنْ نَحَلَ نِحْلَةً فَلَمْ يَحُزْهَا الَّذِي نُحِلَهَا - حَتَّى يَكُونَ إِنْ مَاتَ لِوَرَثَتِهِ - فَهِيَ بَاطِلٌ .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1210
Narrated Isma'il bin 'Ubaid bin Rifa'ah:
From his father, from his grandfather, that he went with the Messenger of Allah (saws) to the Musalla, and he saw the people doing business so he said: 'O people of trade!' and they replied to the Messenger of Allah (saws) turning their necks and their gazes towards him, and he said: Indeed the merchants will be resurrected on the Day of judgement with the wicked, except the one who has Taqwa of Allah, who behaves charitably and is truthful.'"
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. And they also say Isma'il bin 'Ubaidullah bin Rifa'ah.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى فَرَأَى النَّاسَ يَتَبَايَعُونَ فَقَالَ " يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ " . فَاسْتَجَابُوا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرَفَعُوا أَعْنَاقَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ التُّجَّارَ يُبْعَثُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فُجَّارًا إِلاَّ مَنِ اتَّقَى اللَّهَ وَبَرَّ وَصَدَقَ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَيُقَالُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ أَيْضًا .

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3274
Narrated Abu Wa'il:
that Al-Harith bin Yazid Al-Bakri said: "I arrived in Al-Madinah and entered the Masjid and found it full with the people and I also noticed a black banner raised high, while Bilal was holding a sword before the Messenger of Allah (SAW). I said: 'What is the matter with the people?' They said: 'He intends to send 'Amr bin Al-'As somewhere.'" So he mentioned the Hadith in its entirety, similar in meaning to the narration of Sufyan bin 'Uyainah (#3273). He said: He is also called Al-Harith bin Hassan.

Sahih Muslim 1238 a
Muslim al-Qurri reported:
I asked Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) about Tamattu' in Hajj and he permitted it, whereas Ibn Zubair had forbidden it. He (Ibn 'Abbas) said: This is the mother of Ibn Zubair who states that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had permitted it, so you better go to her and ask her about it. He (Muslim al-Qurri said): So we went to her and she was a bulky blind lady and she said: Verily Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) permitted it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الْقُرِّيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - عَنْ مُتْعَةِ الْحَجِّ، فَرَخَّصَ فِيهَا وَكَانَ ابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَنْهَى عَنْهَا فَقَالَ هَذِهِ أُمُّ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ تُحَدِّثُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَخَّصَ فِيهَا فَادْخُلُوا عَلَيْهَا فَاسْأَلُوهَا قَالَ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا فَإِذَا امْرَأَةٌ ضَخْمَةٌ عَمْيَاءُ فَقَالَتْ قَدْ رَخَّصَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِيهَا .

Sahih al-Bukhari 6896
Ibn 'Umar said:
A boy was assassinated. 'Umar said, "If all the people of San'a took part in the assassination I would kill them all."
Al-Mughira bin Hakim said that his father said, "Four persons killed a boy, and 'Umar said (as above)."
Abu Bakr, Ibn Az-Zubair, 'Ali and Suwaid bin Muqarrin gave the judgement of Al-Qisas (equality in punishment) in cases of slapping. And 'Umar carried out Al-Qisas for a strike with a stick. And 'Ali carried out Al-Qisas for three lashes with a whip. And Shuraih carried out for one last and for scratching.
وَقَالَ لِي ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ غُلاَمًا، قُتِلَ غِيلَةً فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لَوِ اشْتَرَكَ فِيهَا أَهْلُ صَنْعَاءَ لَقَتَلْتُهُمْ. وَقَالَ مُغِيرَةُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ إِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً قَتَلُوا صَبِيًّا فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مِثْلَهُ. وَأَقَادَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَابْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ وَعَلِيٌّ وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ مُقَرِّنٍ مِنْ لَطْمَةٍ. وَأَقَادَ عُمَرُ مِنْ ضَرْبَةٍ بِالدِّرَّةِ. وَأَقَادَ عَلِيٌّ مِنْ ثَلاَثَةِ أَسْوَاطٍ. وَاقْتَصَّ شُرَيْحٌ مِنْ سَوْطٍ وَخُمُوشٍ.

I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: If anyone emancipates a Muslim slave, that will be his ransom from Jahannam.

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الزَّيَّاتِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ أُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا ذَكَرَ أَحَدًا فَدَعَا لَهُ بَدَأَ بِنَفْسِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ وَأَبُو قَطَنٍ اسْمُهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ .

Narrated Ibn Umar:
It was narrated from Ibn Umar concerning the Messenger of Allah (saws) he said: "He used to set up a short spear then pray facing toward it."

Urwa ibn al-Mughira ibn Shu'ba said that his father said:
“The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) wore a Byzantine robe with narrow sleeves.”

Abu Salama ibn 'Abd ar-Rahman ibn 'Awf said:
"Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) died on Monday and he was buried on Tuesday.”
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، قَالَ: تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ الاثْنَيْنِ، وَدُفِنَ يَوْمَ الثُّلاثَاءِ.
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 567
It was reported by Malik from Yazid bin Ruman, :
from Salih bin Khawwat, from someone who prayed Salat Al-Khawf with the Prophet, and he mentioned a similar narration.
وَرَوَى مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ، عَمَّنْ صَلَّى مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلاَةَ الْخَوْفِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَبِهِ يَقُولُ مَالِكٌ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ . وَرُوِيَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى بِإِحْدَى الطَّائِفَتَيْنِ رَكْعَةً رَكْعَةً فَكَانَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَكْعَتَانِ وَلَهُمْ رَكْعَةٌ رَكْعَةٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى أَبُو عَيَّاشٍ الزُّرَقِيُّ اسْمُهُ زَيْدُ بْنُ صَامِتٍ .

Ibn Abbas narrated that :
The wife of Thabit bin Qais was granted a Khul from her husband during the time of the Prophet. So the Prophet ordered her to observe an Iddah of a menstruation.
أَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةَ، ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ اخْتَلَعَتْ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ تَعْتَدَّ بِحَيْضَةٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِي عِدَّةِ الْمُخْتَلِعَةِ فَقَالَ أَكْثَرُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الْمُخْتَلِعَةِ عِدَّةُ الْمُطَلَّقَةِ ثَلاَثُ حِيَضٍ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ أَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَاقُ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الْمُخْتَلِعَةِ حَيْضَةٌ . قَالَ إِسْحَاقُ وَإِنْ ذَهَبَ ذَاهِبٌ إِلَى هَذَا فَهُوَ مَذْهَبٌ قَوِيٌّ .

Narrated Suraqah bin Malik bin [Ju'shum]:
"The Messenger of Allah (saws) judged that the son is to suffer retaliation for [killing] his father, but the father is not to suffer retaliation for [killing] his son."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ جُعْشُمٍ، قَالَ حَضَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُقِيدُ الأَبَ مِنِ ابْنِهِ وَلاَ يُقِيدُ الاِبْنَ مِنْ أَبِيهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ سُرَاقَةَ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَلَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِصَحِيحٍ رَوَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنِ الْمُثَنَّى بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ . وَالْمُثَنَّى بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ يُضَعَّفُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ . وَقَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ أَبُو خَالِدٍ الأَحْمَرُ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ مُرْسَلاً وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ فِيهِ اضْطِرَابٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّ الأَبَ إِذَا قَتَلَ ابْنَهُ لاَ يُقْتَلُ بِهِ وَإِذَا قَذَفَ ابْنَهُ لاَ يُحَدُّ .

Ibn ‘Umar said The Apostle of Allaah(saws) did not give up touching the Yamani corner and the (Black) Stone in each of his circumambulations. Ibn ‘Umar used to do so.

Sunan Abi Dawud 3520
Narrated AbuBakr ibn AbdurRahman ibn al-Harith ibn Hisham:
The Prophet (saws) said: If a man sells (his) property and the man who buys it becomes insolvent, and the seller does not receive the price of the property he had sold, but finds his very property with him (i.e. the buyer), he is more entitled to it (than others). If the buyer dies, then the owner of the property is equal to the creditors.

" أَيُّمَا رَجُلٍ بَاعَ مَتَاعًا فَأَفْلَسَ الَّذِي ابْتَاعَهُ وَلَمْ يَقْبِضِ الَّذِي بَاعَهُ مِنْ ثَمَنِهِ شَيْئًا فَوَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ بِعَيْنِهِ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ وَإِنْ مَاتَ الْمُشْتَرِي فَصَاحِبُ الْمَتَاعِ أُسْوَةُ الْغُرَمَاءِ " .

Sunan Abi Dawud 4408
Narrated Busr ibn Artat:
Junadah ibn AbuUmayyah said: We were with Busr ibn Artat on the sea (on an expedition). A thief called Misdar who had stolen a bukhti she-camel was brought. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: Hands are not to be cut off during a warlike expedition. Had it not been so, I would have cut it off.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ، عَنْ عَيَّاشِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْقِتْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ شُيَيْمِ بْنِ بَيْتَانَ، وَيَزِيدَ بْنِ صُبْحٍ الأَصْبَحِيِّ، عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ بُسْرِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ فِي الْبَحْرِ فَأُتِيَ بِسَارِقٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ مِصْدَرٌ قَدْ سَرَقَ بُخْتِيَّةً فَقَالَ قَدْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" لاَ تُقْطَعُ الأَيْدِي فِي السَّفَرِ " . وَلَوْلاَ ذَلِكَ لَقَطَعْتُهُ .

Habib bin Maslamah (RAA) narrated, ‘I witnessed the Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) give a quarter (of the war spoils) as an additional booty (to a Sariyah) when they gained booty on their way out to the fight, He also gave a third (of the war spoils) as an additional booty when they gained it on their way back. ‘Related by Abu Dawud, Ibn al-Garud, Ibn Hibban and Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih.
وَعَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةٍ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: { شَهِدْتُ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَفَّلَ اَلرُّبْعَ فِي اَلْبَدْأَةِ, وَالثُّلُثَ فِي اَلرَّجْعَةِ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, وَصَحَّحَهُ ابْنُ اَلْجَارُودِ, وَابْنُ حِبَّانَ, وَالْحَاكِمُ 1 .

’Asim bin ’Umar narrated On the authority of Anas and Uthman bin Abu Sulaiman (RAA),‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) sent Khalid bin al-Walid to Ukaidir of Dawmat al-Jandal and they seized him and brought him to the Prophet (P.B.U.H.). The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H.) spared his life and made peace with him on the condition that he should pay Jizyah.’ Related by Abu Dawud.
وَعَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ, عَنْ أَنَسٍ, وَعَن ْ 1 عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -بَعْثٍ خَالِدُ بْنُ اَلْوَلِيدِ إِلَى أُكَيْدِرِ دُومَةَ, فَأَخَذُوهُ , 2 فَحَقَنَ دَمِهِ, وَصَالَحَهُ عَلَى اَلْجِزْيَةِ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد َ 3 .

Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib on his father's authority from his grandfather:
The Prophet (SAW) returned his daughter Zainab (RA) to [her husband] Abul-'Aas (RA) by a new marriage.
[at-Tirmidhi said, "The Hadith of Ibn 'Abbas (RA) is better than 'Amr's Hadith in consideration of the chains of narrators. However, that which is being observed in practice is 'Amr bin Shu'aib's Hadith"].
وَعَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -رَدَّ اِبْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِ بِنِكَاحٍ جَدِيدٍ } قَالَ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ : حَدِيثُ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَجْوَدُ إِسْنَادًا , وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى حَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ 1 .

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "Bilal calls for prayer when it is still night, so eat and drink till Ibn Umm Maktum calls for prayer." And he (Ibn Umm Maktum) was a blind man who did not call for a prayer until he was told: "It is morning time, it is morning time."
[Agreed upon].

وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ, وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَا: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِنَّ بِلَالاً يُؤَذِّنُ بِلَيْلٍ, فَكُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا حَتَّى يُنَادِيَ اِبْنُ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ", وَكَانَ رَجُلاً أَعْمَى لَا يُنَادِي, حَتَّى يُقَالَ لَهُ: أَصْبَحْتَ, أَصْبَحْتَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 .

Mishkat al-Masabih 3021
Ibn ‘Umar and Ibn ‘Abbas reported the Prophet as saying, “It is not lawful for a man to give a gift and then take it back, except a father regarding what he gives his child. One who gives a gift and then takes it back is like a dog which eats and vomits when it is full, then returns to its vomit."
Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa’i and Ibn Majah transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying it is sahih.
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُعْطِيَ عَطِيَّةً ثُمَّ يَرْجِعَ فِيهَا إِلَّا الْوَالِدَ فِيمَا يُعْطِي وَلَدَهُ وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعْطِي الْعَطِيَّةَ ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فِيهَا كَمَثَلِ الْكَلْبِ أَكَلَ حَتَّى إِذَا شَبِعَ قَاءَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فِي قَيْئِهِ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَصَححهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Sunan Ibn Majah 460
'Ali bin Yahya bin Khallad narrated, from his father, from his paternal uncle Rifa'ah bin Rafi' that:
He was sitting with the Prophet who said: 'No person's prayer is complete until he performs ablution properly as Allah has commanded him, washing his face, his arms up to the elbows, wiping his head and his feet up to the ankles.'"

It was narrated that Malik bin Aws bin Hadathan Nasri said:
"I heard 'Umar bin Al-Khattab say: 'The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Exchanging gold for gold is usury unless it is done on the spot. (Exchanging) wheat for wheat is usury, unless it is done on the spot. (Exchanging) barley for barley is usury unless it is done on the spot. (Exchanging) dates for dates is usury, unless it is done on the spot."

narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“When the Messenger of Allah

raised his head from Ruku’ in the Subh prayer, he said: ‘O
Allah,
save Al-Walid bin Walid, Salamah bin Hisham and ‘Ayyash bin Abu
Rabi’ah, and the oppressed in Makkah. O Allah, tighten Your grip on
Mudar, and send them years of famine like the famine of Yusuf.”

It was narrated from Wahshi bin Harb that Abu Bakr appointed Khalid bin al-Waleed as commander to fight the apostates and he said:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: “What a good slave of Allah and member of the tribe Khalid bin al-Waleed is! [He is] one of the swords of Allah that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, has unsheathed against disbelievers and hypocrites.`

Narrated Muhammad bin `Abbas bin Ja`far:
Ibn `Abbas recited. "No doubt! They fold up their breasts." I said, "O Abu `Abbas! What is meant by "They fold up their breasts?" He said, "A man used to feel shy on having sexual relation with his wife or on answering the call of nature (in an open space) so this Verse was revealed:-- "No doubt! They fold up their breasts."

Yahya related to me that Malik had asked Ibn Shihab how to wipe over leather socks. Ibn Shihab had put one hand under the sock and his other hand above the sock and then passed them over it.
Yahya said that Malik said, "Out of all that I have heard about the matter I like what Ibn Shihab said the most."
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ، عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ كَيْفَ هُوَ فَأَدْخَلَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ إِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ تَحْتَ الْخُفِّ وَالأُخْرَى فَوْقَهُ ثُمَّ أَمَرَّهُمَا . قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَقَوْلُ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَحَبُّ مَا سَمِعْتُ إِلَىَّ فِي ذَلِكَ .

Yahya related to me from Malik from Dawud ibn al-Husayn from al- Araj from Abd ar-Rahman ibn Abd al-Qari that Umar ibn al Khattab said, "Whoever misses reading his hizb at night and reads it from when the sun has passed the meridian until the dhuhr prayer has not missed it, or it is as if he has caught it."

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Zayd ibn Aslam, that Ata ibn Yasar had told him, from Abu Qatada, the same hadith about the wild ass as that of Abu'n-Nadr, except that in the hadith of Zayd ibn Aslam the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Do you still have any of its meat?"

Hasan bin Alī al-Hulwānī narrated to us, Yahyā bin Ādam narrated to us, Ibn Idrīs narrated to us, on authority of al-A’mash, on authority of Abī Ishāq who said:
‘When they narrated these things after Alī, may Allah be pleased with him, a man from the companions of Alī said: ‘May Allah curse them. Did they corrupt every [type of] knowledge!?’

Ubayd Allah bin Sa’īd narrated to us, he said, I heard an-Naḍr saying:
‘Ibn Awn was asked about the Ḥadīth of Shahr and he was standing at the threshold of the door, so [Ibn Awn] said: ‘Indeed they criticized Shahr, indeed they criticized Shahr’. Muslim, may Allah have mercy on him, said ‘He means- the tongues of men were busy criticizing him’.’
وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّضْرَ، يَقُولُ سُئِلَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ حَدِيثٍ، لِشَهْرٍ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ عَلَى أُسْكُفَّةِ الْبَابِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ شَهْرًا نَزَكُوهُ إِنَّ شَهْرًا نَزَكُوهُ . قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ يَقُولُ أَخَذَتْهُ أَلْسِنَةُ النَّاسِ تَكَلَّمُوا فِيهِ .

Ahmad bin Ibrāhīm ad-Dawraqī narrated to me, he said Abd ur-Rahman bin Mahdī narrated to me, on authority Hammād bin Zayd, he said, Ayyūb mentioned a man one day and said [about him]:
‘He is not upright in speech [i.e. he lies]’, and he mentioned another [person] and said: ‘He adds to records [i.e. he lies]’.

Narrated Nafi`:
Ibn `Umar was told that Abu Huraira said, "Whoever accompanies the funeral procession will have a reward equal to one Qirat." Ibn `Umar said, "Abu Huraira talks of a too enormous reward." Aisha attested Abu Huraira's narration and said, "I heard Allah's Apostle saying like that." Ibn `Umar said, "We have lost numerous Qirats."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ نَافِعًا، يَقُولُ حُدِّثَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ. فَقَالَ أَكْثَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَيْنَا. فَصَدَّقَتْ ـ يَعْنِي عَائِشَةَ ـ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَقَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُهُ. فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ لَقَدْ فَرَّطْنَا فِي قَرَارِيطَ كَثِيرَةٍ. {فَرَّطْتُ} ضَيَّعْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ.

Sahih al-Bukhari 2109
Narrated Ibn `Umar:
Allah's Apostle said, "The seller and the buyer have the option of canceling or confirming the deal unless they separate, or one of them says to the other, 'Choose (i.e. decide to cancel or confirm the bargain now)." Perhaps he said, 'Or if it is an optional sale.' " Ibn `Umar, Shuraih, Ash-Shu`bi, Tawus, Ata, and Ibn Abu Mulaika agree upon this judgment.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
