Narrated `Abdullah bin Abu `Aufa:
A man displayed some merchandise in the market and took an oath that he had been offered a certain price for it while in fact he had not, in order to cheat a man from the Muslims. So then was revealed:-- "Verily! Those who purchase a small gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths..."(3.77)

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ كِلْتَا الرِّوَايَتَيْنِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ وَقَدْ رَوَى غَيْرُ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لأَبِي خُزَامَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ .

That the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "On the day of judgement, Allah will not look at one who arrogantly drags his garment.
[Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Hudhaifah, Abu Sa'eed, Abu Hurairah, Samurah, Abu Dharr, 'Aishah and Hubaib bin Mughfil. The Hadith of Ibn 'Umar is Hasan Sahih.

He said: The Hadith has more statements that this. And this Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ayyub As-Sakhtiyani also reported this Hadith from Al-Qasim At-Tamimi, and, from Abu Qilabah, from Zahdam Al-Jarmi.
