Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying, "By Him in whose hand Muhammad’s soul is, anyone of this people, Jew or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in my message, will be among those who go to hell.” Muslim transmitted it.

The sign of a hypocrite is the hatred against the Ansar and the sign of a believer is the love for the Ansar.

‘A’isha said that stopping at al-Abtah was not a sunna ; God’s messenger stopped there simply because it was easier for him to depart from when he left. Bukhari and Muslim.

In the year of al-Hudaibiya(6 A.H.) we, along with God's messenger, sacrificed a camel for seven people and a cow for seven people. Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha said that the Prophet once brought sheep (The word is ghanam which can mean either sheep or goats) for sacrifice to the House and garlanded them. Bukhari and Muslim.

Abu Musa reported God’s Messenger as saying, “He who observes the two cool times of prayer (at dawn and after nightfall) will enter paradise.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The parts of the land dearest to God are its mosques, and the parts most hateful to God are its markets.” Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “None of you must pray in a single garment of which no part comes over his shoulders.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “A woman, an ass and a dog cut off the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle guards against that.” Muslim transmitted it.

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Perform the bowing and the prostration properly, for I swear by God that I can see you behind me." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Mu'aiqib quoted the Prohpet as saying about a man who smoothed the ground where he prostrated himself, “If you do it, do it only once.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, "The best of the men’s rows is the first and the worst is the last, but the best of the women’s rows is the last and the worst is the first.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha said that the Prophet was more particular about observing the two supererogatory rak'as at dawn than about observing any of the other supererogatory prayers. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘Amr b. Huraith said the Prophet preached on Friday wearing a black turban the ends of which he let hang between his shoulders. Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir reported God's Messenger as saying, "Sacrifice only a full- grown animal unless it is difficult for you, in which case sacrifice a she-lamb.” Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Dharr reported God’s messenger as saying, “Do not consider any act of kindness insignificant, even meeting your brother with a cheerful face.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha told that boys used to be brought to God’s messenger, and he would invoke blessings on them and soften some dates and rub their palates with them. Muslim transmitted it.

She said Muhammad’s family did not have a full meal of wheaten bread on two successive days, but would have dates on one of them. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Jabir said dates were steeped for God’s messenger in a skin, but when they could not find a skin they were steeped for him in a small stone vessel. Muslim transmitted it.

Jabir told that at the battle of the Confederates* Ubayy was struck by an arrow in the median vein of the arm and God’s messenger cauterized it. Muslim transmitted it. * i.e. the battle of the Trench, 5 A. H.

In the tradition about intercession Hudhaifa reported God's messenger as saying, "Fidelity and ties of relationship will be sent and will stand on the two sides of the path, right and left." Muslim transmitted it.

'Abdullah reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said. "The believer is neither a defamer nor a curser nor outrageous nor obscene."

Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The believer is guileless and generous while the corrupt is a swindler and miserly."

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "A man must not spend the night in the house of woman unless he is her husband or a Mahram." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade a transaction determined by throwing stones, and the transaction which involves some uncertainty (or cheating). [Reported by Muslim].

He (SAW) offered the Fajr prayer at daybreak when the people could hardly recognize one another.

The Prophet (SAW) came to al-Muzdalifah and offered at it both the Maghrib and 'Isha prayers with one Adhan and two Iqamah.

The negation (of recitation of the Bismillah) in the report of Muslim can be understood in light of this report (i.e. it was recited silently), as opposed to those who declared Muslim's report as being defective.

In the narration of Muslim it is mentioned that, "He (SAW) uttered the Takbir for each prostration while sitting and the people prostrated with him to make up for the sitting he had forgotten."

The Prophet (SAW) recited Surat al-Kafirun, and Surat al-Ikhlas in the two (voluntary) Rak'at of the Fajr (prayer). [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The most excellent prayer after that which is obligatory is the (voluntary) late night prayer." [Reported by Muslim].

Allah's Messenger (SAW) used to pray four Rak'at in Duha prayer and increase (the number of Rak'at) as much as Allah willed." [Reported by Muslim].

Abu Nu'aim has in his Mustakhraj of Muslim, "While on a journey, if the sun declined he (SAW) used to pray Zuhr and 'Asr together and then continue his journey."

"In the Prophet's Khutbah on Friday: He would praise Allah and extol Him. Then, following that, he would say - and he had raised his voice..."

Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade the wearing of silk except the space of two or three or four fingers. [Agreed upon, and the wording is from Muslim].

Muṭirnā bifaḍlillāhi wa raḥmatih. We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah. Reference: Al-Bukhari 1/205, Muslim 1/83.

-- When you are invited (to eat) then reply to the invitation. If you are fasting then invoke Allah's blessings (on your host), and if you are not fasting then eat. Reference: Muslim 2/1054.

A`ūdhu billāhi minash-Shayṭānir-rajīm. I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the outcast. Reference: Al-Bukhari 7/99, Muslim 4/2015.

Lā ilāha illallāh! There is none worthy of worship but Allah! Reference: Al-Bukhari, cf. Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 6/181, Muslim 4/2208.

"O people, repent to Allah, for I verily repent to Him one hundred times a day. Reference: Muslim 4/2076.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported God’s messenger as saying, “A believer will never be satisfied with the good he hears till he reaches paradise.” Tirmidhi transmitted it.

He also reported God’s messenger as saying, “Islam began as a small religion and will return to the state in which it began. Then blessed will be the few [who hold to it]' Muslim transmitted it.

She said that God’s messenger would be overtaken by the dawn in Ramadan when he was in a state of sexual defilement, not owing to a dream, and would wash and fast. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as saying. “None of you must fast on a Friday unless he fasts the day before or the day after.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘A'isha said that God’s messenger used to exert himself in devotion during the last ten nights to a greater extent than at any other time. Muslim transmitted it.

Rafi' b. Khadij reported God’s Messenger as saying, "The price paid for a dog is impure, the hire paid to a prostitute is impure, and the earnings of a cupper are impure.” Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Qatada reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Avoid much swearing while transacting business, for it produces a ready sale then blots out the blessing.” Muslim transmitted it.

'A’isha said that God’s Messenger bought some grain from a Jew to be paid at a specified time, and gave him a coat of mail of his as a pledge. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “He who gives refuge to a stray is astray himself as long as he does not make the matter known.” Muslim transmitted it.

Usama b. Zaid reported God's Messenger as saying, “I have not left behind me a trial more injurious to men than women.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

I asked God’s Messenger about an accidental glance and he ordered me to turn my eyes away. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Burda b. Niyar reported the Prophet as saying, “No more than ten lashes are to be given, except in the case of one of the punishments prescribed by God.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Anas reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Make things easy and do not make them difficult; make people calm and do not scare them.’’ (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Bakra told that he heard God’s Messenger say, “No judge must give judgment between two people when he is angry.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported the Prophet as saying, “Faith is an assurance of safety from being killed unawares. A believer does not kill another unawares.” Abu Dawud transmitted it.

Umar said: “The Messenger of Allah enjoined Sadaqatul-Fitr, one Sa, of barley or one Sa of dates for every Muslim, free or slave, male or female.”

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prohibited drinking directly out of the mouth of a water- skin.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Eat Suhur (predawn meal). Surely, there is a blessing in Suhur."

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) purchased a camel from me and weighed more than its price.

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (PBUH) said, "When the Iqamah is called, no prayer should be performed except the obligatory prayer."

[Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "On Friday, there is an hour when, if a Muslim slave asks Allah for something at that time, He will give it to him."

Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: There is no trouble that comes to a believer except that it obliterates from his sins, even if it is the pricking of a thorn

that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Indeed among the believers with the most complete faith is the one who is the best in conduct, and the most kind to his family."

that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The believer will never be satisfied with the good he hears, until he ends up in Paradise."

The Messenger of Allah said: "Any Muslim who has lost three of his children will not be touched by the Fire, except for what will fulfill the oath."

Mu'adh bought the property of a Jew whose heir was a Muslim. He then narrated from the Prophet (saws) to the same effect.

The Prophet (saws) as saying: I am nearer to every believer than himself, and if anyone leaves, it goes to his heirs.

Narrated Safiyyah, daughter of Abu 'Ubaid, on the authority of some of the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) who said, "He who goes to one who claims to tell about matters of the Unseen and believes in him, his Salat (prayers) will not be accepted for forty days."

[Muslim].

Whoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Resurrection. And whoever alleviates the need of a needy person, Allah will alleviate his needs in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields [or hides the misdeeds of] a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. And Allah will aid His slave so long as he aids his brother. And whoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather together in one of the Houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, except that sakeenah (tranquility) descends upon them, and mercy envelops them, and the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them amongst those who are with Him. And whoever is slowed down by his actions, will not be hastened forward by his lineage. Related by [Muslim] in these words.

Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Take my advice with regard to women: Act kindly towards women, for they were created from a rib, and the most crooked part of a rib is its uppermost. If you attempt to straighten it; you will break it, and if you leave it alone it will remain crooked; so act kindly toward women".

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

In another narration of Al-Bukhari and Muslim, Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "A woman is like a rib, if you attempt to straighten it, you will break it; and if you benefit from her, you will do so while crookedness remains in her".

In another narration of Muslim, Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: 'Woman has been created from a rib and will in no way be straightened for you; so if you want to benefit from her, you will benefit from her while crookedness remains in her. If you attempt to straighten her, you will break her, and breaking her is divorcing her".

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) as saying : A muslim woman must not make a journey of a night unless she is accompanied by a man who is within the prohibited degrees.

Anas said that the Prophet's most frequent supplication was, "O God, bring us blessing in this world, blessing in the next, and guard us from the punishment of hell." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Anas told that the Prophet was asked about wine which was turned into vinegar* and forbade it. Muslim transmitted it. * This is said to have been done by putting onions or salt in it, or by placing it in the sun.

He reported God’s messenger as saying, “An 'umra is an expiation for sins committed between it and the next, but a hajj which is accepted will receive no less a reward than paradise.” Bukhari and Muslim.

Jabir said that when God’s messenger came to Mecca he went to the stone and touched it, then moved to his right, running three circuits and walking four. Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Qatada reported God’s Messenger as saying, "When the iqama is pronounced, do not get up till you see I have come out.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Qatada reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you enters the mosque he should pray two rak'as before sitting down.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Umm al-Fadl daughter of al-Harith said that she heard God’s Messenger reciting al-Mursalat* at the sunset prayer. * Al-Qur'an; 77. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make supplication often.” Muslim transmitted it.

Zainab the wife of ‘Abdallah b. Mas'ud told of God’s Messenger saying to them, “When one of you comes to the mosque she must not touch perfume.” Muslim transmitted it.

Abu Huraira reported God’s Messenger as saying, “When one of you gets up at night; he should begin the prayer with two short rak'as.” Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha said that God’s Messenger used to pray thirteen rak'as during the night, observing a witr out of that with five, and sitting only during the last of them. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God's Messenger as saying, “When you tell your companion on Friday to be silent while the imam is preaching, you are guilty of idle talk." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Huraira reported God’s messenger as stating that God most high had said, "If you spend, son of Adam, I shall spend on you.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Mas'ud reported God’s messenger as saying, “When someone spends on his family seeking his reward for it from God, it counts to him as sadaqa.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

‘Ali said God's messenger forbade wearing Qassi material and anything dyed with saffron, using a gold ring, and reciting the Qur'an when making the bow. Muslim transmitted it.

‘A’isha said she used to perfume the Prophet with the sweetest perfume she could find till she saw the perfume shining on his head and beard. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported the Prophet as saying about one who comes three days later on the game he has shot, “Eat it, provided it has not a stench.” Muslim transmitted it.

He reported the Prophet as saying when an ass which had been branded on its face passed him, “God curse the one who branded it!” Muslim transmitted it.

She said that sometimes a month would come in which they did not kindle a fire, [For cooking] having only dates and water, unless a little meat was brought. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Anas reported God’s messenger as saying, “God most high is pleased when a man eats something and praises Him for it, or drinks something and praises Him for it." Muslim transmitted it.

"He who sees me in a dream has seen me, for the devil does not appear in my form.” (Bukhari and Muslim.)

God’s Messenger gave us booty apart from our share of the fifth, and I got a sharif, which is a very old camel. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God's messenger as saying, "The last hour will not come before there issues from the land of the Hijaz a fire which will illuminate the necks of the camels in Busra." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

He reported God's messenger as saying, "On the day of resurrection mankind will sweat to such an extent that their sweat will penetrate the earth seventy cubits, and it will cover their mouths, reaching to their ears." (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Allah’s Messenger (saw) used to mention Allah’s Name (praise Him) at all times. [Reported by Muslim and Al-Bukhari recorded it as Mu’allaq (suspended)].

Umm Salama said, “Does this happen (to a woman)?” He (saw) said, “Yes, otherwise where does the resemblance (of a child to its mother) come from?”
