Narrated [Ibn 'Umar (RA)]:
Allah's Messenger (SAW) forbade the transaction called 'Habalal-Habalah" which was one entered into in the Jahiliya era, whereby a man bought a she-camel which was to be the offspring of a she-camel which was still in its mother's womb.
[Agreed upon, and the wording is al-Bukhari's].
وَعَنْهُ; { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ اَلْحَبَلَةِ, وَكَانَ بَيْعاً يَتَبَايَعُهُ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ: كَانَ اَلرَّجُلُ يَبْتَاعُ اَلْجَزُورَ إِلَى أَنْ تُنْتَجَ اَلنَّاقَةُ, ثُمَّ تُنْتَجُ اَلَّتِي فِي بَطْنِهَا } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ , وَاللَّفْظُ لِلْبُخَارِيِّ 1 .

Narrated Jabir (RA):
Allah's Messenger (SAW) said, "The neighbor is most entitled to the right of option to buy his neighbor's property, and its exercise should be waited for, even if he is absent, if the two properties have one road."

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said, "The option to buy neighboring property is like loosening the knot (which restraints the camel)."
[Reported by Ibn Majah and al-Bazzar, who added: "And there is no option to buy a neighboring property for one who is absent." Its chain of narrators is Da'if (weak)].

Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA):
The Prophet (SAW) said, "When one of you leads the people in prayer he should be brief, for among them are the young and the old, the weak and those who have needs to attend to. But if he prays by himself he may pray as he wishes."

He also reported God’s messenger as saying, “People will continue to ask one another questions till someone says this, ‘God created all things, but who created God?’ Whoever comes across anything of that nature should say, ‘I believe in God and in His messengers.’ ”

Abu Huraira reported God's messenger as saying, “There is sexual defilement under every hair, so wash the hair and cleanse the skin.”
Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah transmitted it, and Tirmidhi said, “This is a gharib tradition, and al-Harith b. Wajih who is the transmitter is a shaikh one cannot trust.”

Mishkat al-Masabih 2073
He said that the Prophet used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays, and when someone remarked on this to him he said, “On Monday and Thursday God forgives every Muslim except two who are at variance, for He says they must be left till they make peace with one another.”
Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmitted it.
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: كَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ. فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ تَصُومُ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ. فَقَالَ:
" إِنَّ يَوْمَ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ يَغْفِرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِمَا لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ إِلَّا ذَا هَاجِرَيْنِ يَقُولُ: دَعْهُمَا حَتَّى يصطلحا ". رَوَاهُ أَحْمد وَابْن مَاجَه

Mishkat al-Masabih 2759
Al-Miqdam b. Ma'dikarib reported God's Messenger as saying, “No one has ever eaten better food than what he eats as a result of the labour of his hands. God’s prophet David used to eat from what he had worked for with his hands.”
Bukhari transmitted it.

He reported God’s Messenger as saying, “One must not offer more than the amount agreed by his brother*, or ask a woman in marriage when his brother has done so, unless he permits him.”
*i.e. when the parties have already agreed on a price.

Abu Huraira traced to the Prophet the statement that God who is great and glorious says, “I make a third with two partners as long as one of them does not cheat the other, but when he cheats him I depart from them."
Abu Dawud transmitted it and Razin added, “and the devil comes."

He reported God’s messenger as saying that if anyone says a hundred times morning and evening, "Glory be to God, and I begin with praise of Him", only one who said what he said, or more than it, will bring anything more excellent than he on the day of resurrection.

Anas told that when God’s messenger went to his bed he said, “Praise be to God who has fed us, given us drink, satisfied us and given us refuge. Many there are who have no one to provide sufficiency for them, or give them refuge.”

Abu Huraira reported:
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: When the reciter (Imam) utters:" Not of those on whom (is Thine) wrath and not the erring ones," and (the person) behind him utters Amin and his utterance synchronises with that of the dwellers of heavens, all his previous sins would be pardoned.

" إِذَا قَالَ الْقَارِئُ غَيْرِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ الضَّالِّينَ . فَقَالَ مَنْ خَلْفَهُ آمِينَ . فَوَافَقَ قَوْلُهُ قَوْلَ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .

Hammam b. Munabbih reported:
This is what was transmitted to us by Abu Huraira from the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) and, while making a mention of a few ahadith, said: (The Messengerof Allah directed us thus): Establish rows in prayer, for the making of a row (straight) is one of the merits of prayer.

Ziyad b. 'Ilaqa reported it on the authority of his uncle that he said the morning prayer with the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) and he recited in the first rak'ah:
"And the tall palm trees having flower spikes piled one above another (l. 10) or perhaps Surah Qaf."

We waited for the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon hi n) one night, till it was about midnight. He (the Holy Prophet) came and observed prayer and then turned his face towards us, as it I was seeing the lustre of the silver ring on his finger.
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الشَّاعِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زَيْدٍ، سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ نَظَرْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَيْلَةً حَتَّى كَانَ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَصَلَّى ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِهِ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ .

Qatada reported it on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said:
When any one of you omits the prayer due to sleep or he forgets it, he should observe it when he remembers it, for Allah has said:" Observe prayer for remembrance of Me."
وَحَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِذَا رَقَدَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَنِ الصَّلاَةِ أَوْ غَفَلَ عَنْهَا فَلْيُصَلِّهَا إِذَا ذَكَرَهَا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ يَقُولُ أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِذِكْرِي " .

I came to 'A'isha when the people were standing (in prayer) and she was also praying. I said: What is this excitement of the people for? And the rest of the hadith was narrated like one, (narrated above). 'Urwa said: Do not say Kasafat-ush-Shamsu, but say Khasafat-ush-Shamsu.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، قَالَ لاَ تَقُلْ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ وَلَكِنْ قُلْ خَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ .

Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas (Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) struck his hand against the other and (then with the gesture of his two hands) said:
The month is thus, thus (two times). He then withdrew (one of) his fingers at the third turn.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
Seek it (Lailat-ul-Qadr) in the last (ten nights). If one among you shows slackness and weakness (in the earlier part of Ramadan), it should not be allowed to prevail upon him in the last week.
وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ حُرَيْثٍ - قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، - رضى الله عنهما - يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الأَوَاخِرِ - يَعْنِي لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ - فَإِنْ ضَعُفَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَوْ عَجَزَ فَلاَ يُغْلَبَنَّ عَلَى السَّبْعِ الْبَوَاقِي " .

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:
"If one of us was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah would tell her to tie her waist-wrapper around herself if the bleeding was heavy, then he would embrace her. And who among you can control his desire as the Messenger of Allah used to control his desire?"

"Eisa bin Maryam saw a man stealing and said: 'Did you steal?' He said: 'No, by the One besides Whom there is no other God.' 'Eisa said: 'I believe in Allah, and I do not believe what my eyes see.'"

Sunan Ibn Majah 2227
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:
"The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: 'Whoever buys food, let him not sell it until he has taken full possession of it.'" (Sahih) In his narration, (one of the narrators) Abu 'Awanah said: "Ibn 'Abbas said: 'I think everything is like food."'

Sunan Ibn Majah 2627
It was narrated from Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Prophet (SAW) said:
“Killing by mistake that resembles intentionally, is killing with a whip or stick, for which the blood money is one hundred camels, of which forty should be pregnant she-camels in middle of their pregnancies, with their young in their wombs.”
Another chain reports a similar hadith.

“We broke our fast on

I (one of the narrators) said to Hisham: "Were they commanded to make up for that day?" He said: "It had to be made up." (According to Hisham's opinion).

“Whoever kills a house lizard with one blow will have such and
such
a reward. Whoever kills it with two blows will have such and such

reward,” less than the first. “And whoever kills it with three
blows
will have such and such reward,” less than that mentioned the
second
time.

" مَنْ قَتَلَ وَزَغًا فِي أَوَّلِ ضَرْبَةٍ فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا حَسَنَةً وَمَنْ قَتَلَهَا فِي الثَّانِيَةِ فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا - أَدْنَى مِنَ الأُولَى - وَمَنْ قَتَلَهَا فِي الضَّرْبَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ فَلَهُ كَذَا وَكَذَا حَسَنَةً - أَدْنَى مِنَ الَّذِي ذَكَرَهُ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الثَّانِيَةِ " .

narrated from Umm Husain that she heard the Messenger of Allah

slave whose nose and ears have been cut off, listen to him
and obey,
so long as he leads you according to the Book of Allah.”

“I covered a small room closet of
mine, meaning, from the inside, with a curtain on which there were
images. When the Prophet (saw) came, he tore it down, so I made two
pillows from it, and I saw the Prophet (saw) reclining on one of
them.”

and whoever wishes let him pray Witr with one (Rak’ah).”

praises Allah (says Al-Hamdu Lillah).”

making public death announcements.’”

“There is no one among you who does not have two abodes: An

people of Paradise inherit his abode. This is what Allah says:
‘These
are indeed the inheritors.’” [23:10]

" الشَّيْطَانُ يَهُمُّ بِالْوَاحِدِ وَالاِثْنَيْنِ فَإِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاَثَةً لَمْ يَهُمَّ بِهِمْ " .

I was in the company of the Prophet in the cave, and on seeing the traces of the pagans, I said, "O Allah's Apostle If one of them (pagans) should lift up his foot, he will see us." He said, "What do you think of two, the third of whom is Allah?"

" مَا ظَنُّكَ بِاثْنَيْنِ اللَّهُ ثَالِثُهُمَا ".

Narrated An-Nu`man bin Bashir:
Allah's Apostle said, "You see the believers as regards their being merciful among themselves and showing love among themselves and being kind, resembling one body, so that, if any part of the body is not well then the whole body shares the sleeplessness (insomnia) and fever with it."

Narrated `Uqba bin Al-Harith:
An-Nu`man or the son of An-Nu`man was brought to the Prophet on a charge of drunkenness. So the Prophet ordered all the men present in the house, to beat him. So all of them beat him, and I was also one of them who beat him with shoes.

Sahi narrated that:
in Paradise there is a gate called Ar'Rayyan, it will be said on the Day of Resurrection: "Where are those who used to fast? Would you like to enter through Ar-Rayyan?" whoever enters through it will never thirst again. Then when they have entered it will be closed behind them, and no one but they will enter through it.

" مَنْ تَبِعَ جَنَازَةً فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ فَلَهُ قِيرَاطٌ مِنَ الأَجْرِ وَمَنْ تَبِعَهَا فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهَا ثُمَّ قَعَدَ حَتَّى يُفْرَغَ مِنْ دَفْنِهَا فَلَهُ قِيرَاطَانِ مِنَ الأَجْرِ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا أَعْظَمُ مِنْ أُحُدٍ " .

" بِئْسَ الْخَطِيبُ أَنْتَ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3362
It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir that the Messenger of Allah said, concerning a man who had intercourse with his wife's slave woman:
"If she let him do that, I will flog him with one hundred stripes, and if she did not let him do that, I will stone him (to death)."
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَارِمٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فِي رَجُلٍ وَقَعَ بِجَارِيَةِ امْرَأَتِهِ
" إِنْ كَانَتْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَجْلِدْهُ مِائَةً وَإِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ أَحَلَّتْهَا لَهُ فَأَرْجُمْهُ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 3374
It was narrated that Anas said:
"The Messenger of Allah saw a trace of yellow perfume on me" -as if he meant 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf- "and said: 'What's this for?' He said: 'I have married a woman from among the Ansar.' He said: 'Give a Walimah (wedding feast) even if it is with one sheep.'"
أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْوَزِيرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ كَثِيرِ بْنِ عُفَيْرٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَىَّ - كَأَنَّهُ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ - أَثَرَ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ " مَهْيَمْ " . قَالَ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ . فَقَالَ " أَوْلِمْ وَلَوْ بِشَاةٍ " .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 4412
It was narrated that Shaddad bin Aws said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Allah has decreed proficiency in all things, so when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and spare suffering to the animal he slaughters.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْعَثِ الصَّنْعَانِيِّ، عَنْ شَدَّادِ بْنِ أَوْسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ الإِحْسَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَإِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذَّبْحَ وَلْيُحِدَّ أَحَدُكُمْ شَفْرَتَهُ وَلْيُرِحْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ " .

It was narrated from Ayyub, from Nafi from Ibn 'Umar, who said:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'The two parties to a transaction both have the choice so long as they have not separated or chosen to conclude the transaction." Or perhaps Nafi said: "Or one of them has said to the other: 'Decide! "(Sahih )

Jabir said:
"The Messenger of Allah ruled that every clan should take part in paying the blood money, and it is not permissible for a freed slave to take a Muslim (other than the one who freed him) as his Mawla (Patron) without the permission (of his former master who set him free)"

It was narrated that Abu Shaikh said:
"While we were with Mu'awiyah on one of his pilgrimages, he gathered together a group of the Companions of Muhammad [SAW] and said to them: 'Do you not know that the Messenger of Allah [SAW] forbade wearing gold unless it was broken (into smaller pieces)?' They said: 'By Allah, yes.'"
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ مَطَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ، قَالَ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ فِي بَعْضِ حَجَّاتِهِ إِذْ جَمَعَ رَهْطًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ لَهُمْ أَلَسْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الذَّهَبِ إِلاَّ مُقَطَّعًا قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ نَعَمْ . خَالَفَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَلَى اخْتِلاَفٍ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ عَلَيْهِ .

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said:
"May Allah curse Al-Mutanammisat and their teeth separated, who have tattoos done, changing the creation of Allah." A woman came to him and said: "Are you the one who said such-and-such?" He said: "Why should I not say what the Messenger of Allah [SAW] said?"

Abu Hurairah narrated that:
The Prophet (saws) said: “Whoever says in the morning and in the evening ‘Glory is to Allah and with His Praise (Subḥān Allāh, wa biḥamdih)’ a hundred times, none shall bring better than him on the Day of Judgment except one who did the same as him, or increased upon it.”
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّوَارِبِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَحِينَ يُمْسِي سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ لَمْ يَأْتِ أَحَدٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِأَفْضَلَ مِمَّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَحَدٌ قَالَ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ أَوْ زَادَ عَلَيْهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .

Narrated 'Amr bin Shu'aib:
from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "He is not one of us who resembles other than us, no who resembles the Jews nor the Christians. For indeed greeting of the Jews is pointing the finger, and the greeting of the Christians is waving with the hand."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِغَيْرِنَا لاَ تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ وَلاَ بِالنَّصَارَى فَإِنَّ تَسْلِيمَ الْيَهُودِ الإِشَارَةُ بِالأَصَابِعِ وَتَسْلِيمَ النَّصَارَى الإِشَارَةُ بِالأَكُفِّ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ إِسْنَادُهُ ضَعِيفٌ . وَرَوَى ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ فَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The Ansar are my close ones and my elite. Indeed the people shall increase and they shall dwindle, so accept from those who do good among them, and overlook those who do bad among them."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" الأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي وَإِنَّ النَّاسَ سَيَكْثُرُونَ وَيَقِلُّونَ فَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ وَتَجَاوَزُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

"A mule was given as a gift to the Messenger of Allah and he rode it." 'Ali said: "If we mate a donkey with a horse, we will have one like this." The Messenger of Allah said: "That is only done by those who do not know."
أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، عَنِ ابْنِ زُرَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ أُهْدِيَتْ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَغْلَةٌ فَرَكِبَهَا فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ لَوْ حَمَلْنَا الْحَمِيرَ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ لَكَانَتْ لَنَا مِثْلَ هَذِهِ . قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إِنَّمَا يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ الَّذِينَ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ " .

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Umra (a lifelong gift) belongs to the one to whom it was given; it belongs to him and to his descendants, and is inherited by those who inherit from him.'"

"When any one of you wakes from sleep, let him not put his hand into the vessel until he has washed it three times, because he does not know where his hand spent the night."
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ، وَحُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ مَنَامِهِ فَلاَ يُدْخِلْ يَدَهُ فِي الإِنَاءِ حَتَّى يُفْرِغَ عَلَيْهَا ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لاَ يَدْرِي أَيْنَ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ " .

" دَعِي لِي " . وَأَقُولَ أَنَا دَعْ لِي . قَالَ سُوَيْدٌ يُبَادِرُنِي وَأُبَادِرُهُ فَأَقُولُ دَعْ لِي دَعْ لِي .

Sunan an-Nasa'i 438
'Ali said:
"I sent Al-Miqdad to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to ask him about Madhi, and he said: 'Perform Wudu' and sprinkle water over your private part.'"
Abu 'Abdur-Rahman said: Makhramah (one of the narrators) did not hear anything from his father.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا أَخْبَرَنِي مَخْرَمَةُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَرْسَلْتُ الْمِقْدَادَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الْمَذْيِ فَقَالَ: «تَوَضَّأْ وَانْضَحْ فَرْجَكَ».
قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: مَخْرَمَةُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْ أَبِيهِ شَيْئًا.

Ibrahim ibn Muhammad, one of the offspring of 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, told me:
“When 'Ali described Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace)— then he related the tradition in full—he said: 'Between his shoulders was the Seal of Prophethood, for he is the Seal of the Prophets'."

Narrated AbuHurayrah:
The Prophet (saws) said: whoever performs ablution, and performs his ablution perfectly, and then goes to the mosque and finds that the people had finished the prayer (in congregation), Allah will give him a reward like one who prayed in congregation and attended it; The reward of those who prayed in congregation will not be curtailed.

If any one of you is invited, he should accept (the invitation). In case he is fasting, he should pray (in order to bless the inmates of the house), and if he is not fasting he should eat.

It has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Umar that the Prophet (may peace be upon him) sent an expedition to Najd and I was among the troops. They got a large number of camels as a booty. Eleven or twelve camels fell to the lot of every fighter and each of them also got one extra camel.

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 610
Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that :
the Messenger of Allah said, about urine of a male child that suckles: "The urine of the boy is sprinkled, and the girl's urine is washed." Qatadah (one of the narrators) said: "This is so, as long as they do not eat, when they eat, then both of them are washed."

" يُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلاَمِ وَيُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ " . قَالَ قَتَادَةُ وَهَذَا مَا لَمْ يَطْعَمَا فَإِذَا طَعِمَا غُسِلاَ جَمِيعًا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . رَفَعَ هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتَوَائِيُّ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَأَوْقَفَهُ سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ .

Jabir narrated that The Prophet said:
“Do not enter upon Al-Mughibar (the women whose husband are absent), for indeed the Shaitan flows through one of you as the blood flows.” We said: “And you?” He said: “And me, but Allah helped me over him, so I am safe.”
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ تَلِجُوا عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ فَإِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ مَجْرَى الدَّمِ " . قُلْنَا وَمِنْكَ قَالَ " وَمِنِّي وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ . وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي مُجَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ . وَسَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ خَشْرَمٍ يَقُولُ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ فِي تَفْسِيرِ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمُ " . يَعْنِي أَسْلَمُ أَنَا مِنْهُ . قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَالشَّيْطَانُ لاَ يُسْلِمُ . وَ " لاَ تَلِجُوا عَلَى الْمُغِيبَاتِ " وَالْمُغِيبَةُ الْمَرْأَةُ الَّتِي يَكُونُ زَوْجُهَا غَائِبًا وَالْمُغِيبَاتُ جَمَاعَةُ الْمُغِيبَةِ .

أَحَدُكُمْ " .

Umm Sharik reported that she consulted Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) in regard to killing of geckos, and he commanded to kill them and Umm Sharik is one of the women of Bani 'Amir b. Luwayy. This hadith has been reported through another chain of transmitters with the same meaning.

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ شَرِيكٍ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا، اسْتَأْمَرَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي قَتْلِ الْوِزْغَانِ
فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهَا . وَأُمُّ شَرِيكٍ إِحْدَى نِسَاءِ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ لُؤَىٍّ . اتَّفَقَ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ
وَعَبْدِ بْنِ حُمَيْدٍ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَرِيبٌ مِنْهُ .

" أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ " . فَقَالَتْ لِمَاشِطَتِهَا كُفِّي رَأْسِي . بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

طَعَامُ عِيَالِهِمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ جَمَعُوا مَا كَانَ عِنْدَهُمْ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ ثُمَّ اقْتَسَمُوهُ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي إِنَاءٍ
وَاحِدٍ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ فَهُمْ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ " .

This hadith has been reported by Sahl b. Sa'd that he heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying:
I and the Last Hour are (close to each other) like this (and he, in order to explain it) pointed (by joining his) forefinger, (one) next to the thumb and the middle finger (together).

وَحَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ
سَهْلاً، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُشِيرُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ الَّتِي تَلِي الإِبْهَامَ وَالْوُسْطَى
وَهُوَ يَقُولُ
" بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةُ هَكَذَا " .

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:
One who looks after the orphan whether he is his relative or not, I and he would be together in Paradise like this, and Malik (explained it) with the gesture by drawing his index finger and middle finger close together.

" كَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ لَهُ أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِ أَنَا وَهُوَ كَهَاتَيْنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " . وَأَشَارَ مَالِكٌ بِالسَّبَّابَةِ
وَالْوُسْطَى .

The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said. When one of you yawns while engaged in prayer, he should try to restrain so far as it lies in his power, since it is the Satan that enter therein.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar:
Allah's Apostle forbade the sale called 'Habal-al-Habala which was a kind of sale practiced in the Pre- Islamic Period of ignorance. One would pay the price of a she-camel which was not born yet would be born by the immediate offspring of an extant she-camel.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ حَبَلِ الْحَبَلَةِ، وَكَانَ بَيْعًا يَتَبَايَعُهُ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، كَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَبْتَاعُ الْجَزُورَ إِلَى أَنْ تُنْتَجَ النَّاقَةُ، ثُمَّ تُنْتَجُ الَّتِي فِي بَطْنِهَا.

Narrated Ibn `Umar from Zaid bin Thabit:
Allah's Apostle allowed the sale of 'Araya by estimating the dates on them for measured amounts of dried dates. Musa bin `Uqba said, "Al- 'Araya were distinguished date palms; one could come and buy them (i.e. their fruits).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ـ رضى الله عنهم ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا أَنْ تُبَاعَ بِخَرْصِهَا كَيْلاً. قَالَ مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ وَالْعَرَايَا نَخَلاَتٌ مَعْلُومَاتٌ تَأْتِيهَا فَتَشْتَرِيهَا.

Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Bakr:
We were with the Prophet when a tall pagan with long matted unkempt hair came driving his sheep. The Prophet asked him, "Are those sheep for sale or for gifts?" The pagan replied, "They are for sale." The Prophet bought one sheep from him.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ مُشْرِكٌ مُشْعَانٌّ طَوِيلٌ بِغَنَمٍ يَسُوقُهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" بَيْعًا أَمْ عَطِيَّةً أَوْ قَالَ أَمْ هِبَةً ". قَالَ لاَ بَلْ بَيْعٌ. فَاشْتَرَى مِنْهُ شَاةً.

Narrated `Uqba bin Al-Harith:
When An-Nuaman or his son was brought in a state of drunkenness, Allah's Apostle ordered all those who were present in the house to beat him. I was one of those who beat him. We beat him with shoes and palm-leaf stalks.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ سَلاَمٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، قَالَ جِيءَ بِالنُّعَيْمَانِ أَوِ ابْنِ النُّعَيْمَانِ شَارِبًا، فَأَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَنْ كَانَ فِي الْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَضْرِبُوا قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أَنَا فِيمَنْ ضَرَبَهُ، فَضَرَبْنَاهُ بِالنِّعَالِ وَالْجَرِيدِ.

The Prophet said, "No doubt, one had better take a rope (and cut) and tie a bundle of wood and sell it whereby Allah will keep his face away (from Hell-fire) rather than ask others who may give him or not."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ أَسَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لأَنْ يَأْخُذَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَحْبُلاً، فَيَأْخُذَ حُزْمَةً مِنْ حَطَبٍ فَيَبِيعَ، فَيَكُفَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ وَجْهَهُ، خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَنْ يَسْأَلَ النَّاسَ أُعْطِيَ أَمْ مُنِعَ ".

Abu Huraira said, "Allah's Apostle said, 'No one should prevent his neighbor from fixing a wooden peg in his wall." Abu Huraira said (to his companions), "Why do I find you averse to it? By Allah, I certainly will narrate it to you."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، رضى الله عنه أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ يَمْنَعُ جَارٌ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَهُ فِي جِدَارِهِ ". ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ وَاللَّهِ لأَرْمِيَنَّ بِهَا بَيْنَ أَكْتَافِكُمْ.

The Prophet said, "If one manumits his share of a common slave (Abd), and he has money sufficient to free the remaining portion of the price of the slave (justly estimated), then he should free the slave completely by paying the rest of his price; otherwise the slave is freed partly. "
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
" مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ مِنَ الْعَبْدِ، فَكَانَ لَهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ مَا يَبْلُغُ قِيمَتَهُ، يُقَوَّمُ عَلَيْهِ قِيمَةَ عَدْلٍ، وَأُعْتِقَ مِنْ مَالِهِ، وَإِلاَّ فَقَدْ عَتَقَ مِنْهُ ".
