The Prophet said, "I have been sent and the Hour (is at hand) as these two (fingers).

that he said to the Prophet "Did you benefit Abu Talib with anything?"

If I had not heard the Prophet saying, "You should not long for death," I would have longed (for it).

`Abdullah bin Az-Zubair went with some women of the tribe of Bani Zuhra to `Aisha who used to treat them nicely because of their relation to Allah's Apostle.

The Prophet said, "Near the establishment of the Hour, there will be the days of Al-Harj, and the religious knowledge will be taken away (vanish i.e. by the death of Religious scholars) and general ignorance will spread." Abu Musa said, "Al-Harj, in the Ethiopian language, means killing."

Allah ordered His Prophet to forgive the people their misbehavior (towards him).

Anas b. Malik reported that 'Abd al-Rahman married a woman for a datestone weight of gold.

My father said, "Once I was in the company of the Prophet on a journey and I dashed to take off his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather). He ordered me to leave them as he had put them after performing ablution. So he passed wet hands over them.

None of us had more than a single garment and we used to have our menses while wearing it. Whenever it got soiled with blood of menses we used to apply saliva to the blood spot and rub off the blood with our nails.

Allah's Apostle bought food grains from a Jew on credit and mortgaged his armor to him.

The Prophet (saws) forbade that the male should perform ablution with the water left over by the female.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) took a bath and offered two rak'ahs of prayer and said the dawn prayer. I do not think he performed ablution afresh after taking a bath.

Al-Bara' described to us (the nature of prostration). He placed his hands (palms), reclined on his knees, and raised his hips; he said: This is how the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to prostrate himself.

The Prophet (saws) commanded us to respond to the salutation of the imam. and to love each other, and to salute each other.

Abu Huraira has narrated this hadith similar to the above mentioned hadith.

Ibn 'Abbas reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade the (preparation of Nabidh) in gourd in pitcher besmeared with pitch, in varnished jar, and in hollow stumps.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Sufyan with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

A'isha reported that the pillow on which Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) reclined was of leather stuffed with palm fibre.

Jabir reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) forbade (the animals to be beaten) on the face or cauterisation on the face.

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Ibn Juraij, but there is no mention of the words" business in the market".

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari with a slight variation of wording.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira through another chain of transmitters.

While I was with `Uthman, a man came to him and said, "Appoint your successor." `Uthman said, "Has such successor been named?" He replied, "Yes, Az-Zubair." `Uthman said, thrice, "By Allah! Indeed you know that he is the best of you."

We used to visit Anas bin Malik and he used to talk to us about the Ansar, and used to say to me: "Your people did so-and-so on such-and-such a day, and your people did so-and-so on such-and-such a day."

The Prophet got his head shaved during Hajjat-ul-Wada`.'

Jews used to say: "If one has sexual intercourse with his wife from the back, then she will deliver a squint-eyed child." So this Verse was revealed:-- "Your wives are a tilth unto you; so go to your tilth when or how you will." (2.223)

Abu Dawud said : Between Mut’im and Nafi the name of a narrator Sulaiman b. Musa has been inserted.

This tradition has also been transmitted by A’ishah through a different chain of narrators from the Prophet (saws) to the same effect.

Abu Dawud said “Ja’far did not hear any tradition from Al Zuhri. Al Zuhri gave him his writing.”

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Al Zuhri with the chain of ‘Abbad and to the same affect.

Abu Dawud said “This tradition has also been narrated by Ma’mar, Shu’aib and ‘Aqil on the authority of Al Zuhri from a number of scholars and this is the soundest one in our opinion.

The Prophet (saws) appointed a sixth to a grandmother if no mother is left to inherit before her.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) assigned to az-Zubayr palm-trees as a fief.

The bone dearer to the Messenger of Allah (saws) was the bone of sheep.

My father said to me: My son, if you had seen us while we were with the Messenger of Allah (saws) and the rain had fallen on us, you would have thought that our smell was the smell of the sheep.

The Prophet (saws) had sikkah with which he perfumed himself.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) treated the fingers and toes as equal.

The Prophet (saws) said: If anyone peeps into the house of a people without their permission and he knocks out his eye, no responsibility is incurred for his eye.
