Yahya related to me from Malik from Abu'z-Zinad from al Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Delay in payment by a rich man is injustice, but when one of you is referred for payment to a wealthy man, let him be referred."
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ وَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى مَلِيءٍ فَلْيَتْبَعْ " .

وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ
" لاَ يَحِلُّ لاِمْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الآخَرِ تُسَافِرُ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ وَلَيْلَةٍ إِلاَّ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ مِنْهَا " .

Uqbah bin Amir Al-Juhni narrated:
"There are three times that the Messenger of Allah prohibited us from performing Salat in, burying our dead in: When the sun's rising appears until it has risen up; when the sun is at the zenith until it passes, and when the sun begins its setting, until it has set."
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَىِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ ثَلاَثُ سَاعَاتٍ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَنْهَانَا أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِيهِنَّ أَوْ نَقْبُرَ فِيهِنَّ مَوْتَانَا حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بَازِغَةً حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ وَحِينَ يَقُومُ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ حَتَّى تَمِيلَ وَحِينَ تَضَيَّفُ الشَّمْسُ لِلْغُرُوبِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ يَكْرَهُونَ الصَّلاَةَ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّاعَاتِ . وَقَالَ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ مَعْنَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ أَنْ نَقْبُرَ فِيهِنَّ مَوْتَانَا . يَعْنِي الصَّلاَةَ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ . وَكَرِهَ الصَّلاَةَ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا وَإِذَا انْتَصَفَ النَّهَارُ حَتَّى تَزُولَ الشَّمْسُ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ . قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ لاَ بَأْسَ بِالصَّلاَةِ عَلَى الْجَنَازَةِ فِي السَّاعَاتِ الَّتِي ...

Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2181
Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri narrated that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) said:
"By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! The Hour will not be established until predators speak to people and until the tip of a man's whip and the straps on his sandal speak to him, and his thigh informs him of what occurred with his family after him."
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ الْعَبْدِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لاَ تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تُكَلِّمَ السِّبَاعُ الإِنْسَ وَحَتَّى تُكَلِّمَ الرَّجُلَ عَذَبَةُ سَوْطِهِ وَشِرَاكُ نَعْلِهِ وَتُخْبِرَهُ فَخِذُهُ بِمَا أَحْدَثَ أَهْلُهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ . وَالْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ وَثَّقَهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ .

Kathir bin 'Amr bin 'Awf Al-Muzani narrated from his father, from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said:
"Reconciliation is allowed among the Muslims, except for reconciliation that makes the lawful unlawful, or the unlawful lawful. And the Muslims will be held to their conditions, except the conditions that make the lawful unlawful, or the unlawful lawful."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " الصُّلْحُ جَائِزٌ بَيْنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلاَّ صُلْحًا حَرَّمَ حَلاَلاً أَوْ أَحَلَّ حَرَامًا وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ عَلَى شُرُوطِهِمْ إِلاَّ شَرْطًا حَرَّمَ حَلاَلاً أَوْ أَحَلَّ حَرَامًا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Ath-Thawri and others reported it from Abu Ishaq.

Narrated Abu Najih As-Sulami:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: "Whoever shoots an arrow in the cause of Allah, then he has the reward of freeing a slave."
[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. Abu Najih is 'Amr bin 'Abasah As-Sulami, and 'Abdullah bin Al-Azraq is 'Abdullah bin Zaid.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ مَعْدَانَ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ السُّلَمِيِّ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " مَنْ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ لَهُ عَدْلُ مُحَرَّرٍ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَأَبُو نَجِيحٍ هُوَ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبَسَةَ السُّلَمِيُّ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الأَزْرَقِ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ .

A man from Banu Sulaim narrated:
“The Messenger of Allah (saws) counted them out in my hand” - or - “in his hand: ‘At-Tasbīḥ is half of the Scale, and “All praise is due to Allah (Al-Ḥamdulillāh)” fills it, and At-Takbīr (Allāhu Akbar) fills what is between the sky and the earth, and fasting is half of patience, and purification is half of faith.”
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ جُرَىٍّ النَّهْدِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ قَالَ عَدَّهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي يَدِي أَوْ فِي يَدِهِ " التَّسْبِيحُ نِصْفُ الْمِيزَانِ وَالْحَمْدُ يَمْلَؤُهُ وَالتَّكْبِيرُ يَمْلأُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالأَرْضِ وَالصَّوْمُ نِصْفُ الصَّبْرِ وَالطُّهُورُ نِصْفُ الإِيمَانِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَقَدْ رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ وَسُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ .

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
"I was with Ibn Ziyad and the head of Al-Husain was brought. He began to poke it in the nose with a stick that he had, saying: 'I do not see the like of this as beautiful, why is he mentioned as such?'" He said: "I said: 'Behold, he was of the closest of them in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (SAW).'"
حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَتْ حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ ابْنِ زِيَادٍ فَجِيءَ بِرَأْسِ الْحُسَيْنِ فَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ بِقَضِيبٍ لَهُ فِي أَنْفِهِ وَيَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ مِثْلَ هَذَا حُسْنًا لَمْ يُذْكَرْ . قَالَ قُلْتُ أَمَا إِنَّهُ كَانَ مِنْ أَشْبَهِهِمْ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حُرَيْثٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا ابْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَلاَ إِنَّ عَيْبَتِي الَّتِي آوِي إِلَيْهَا أَهْلُ بَيْتِي وَإِنَّ كَرِشِي الأَنْصَارُ فَاعْفُوا عَنْ مُسِيئِهِمْ وَاقْبَلُوا مِنْ مُحْسِنِهِمْ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ .

So the children of Adam come in according with the earth, some of them come red, and white and black, and between that, and the thin, the thick, the filthy, and the clean."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ الأَعْرَابِيِّ، عَنْ قَسَامَةَ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى خَلَقَ آدَمَ مِنْ قَبْضَةٍ قَبَضَهَا مِنْ جَمِيعِ الأَرْضِ فَجَاءَ بَنُو آدَمَ عَلَى قَدْرِ الأَرْضِ فَجَاءَ مِنْهُمُ الأَحْمَرُ وَالأَبْيَضُ وَالأَسْوَدُ وَبَيْنَ ذَلِكَ وَالسَّهْلُ وَالْحَزْنُ وَالْخَبِيثُ وَالطَّيِّبُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
"When the Prophet (SAW) began facing the Ka'bah they said: 'O Messenger of Allah! How about our brothers who died while they were praying toward Bait Al-Maqdis?' So Allah Most High revealed: Allah would not allow your faith to be wasted. (2:143)"
حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، وَأَبُو عَمَّارٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ لَمَّا وُجِّهَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى الْكَعْبَةِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ بِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ مَاتُوا وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ: (وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُضِيعَ إِيمَانَكُمْ ) الآيَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

It was narrated that `Amr bin Maimoon said:
l heard `Umar bin al Khattab say: The people of Jahiliyyah used not to move on from Jam` until they saw the sun shining on (the mountain of) Thabeer, and they would say: Shine Thabeer, then we will move on swiftly. So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) moved on before the sun rose.

Zaid b. Khalid reported God’s messenger as saying, ‘He who gives one who has been fasting something with which to break his fast, or who equips a fighter will have a reward equivalent to his.”
Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu'ab al-iman, and Muhyi as-sunna, who said it is sahih, in Sharh as-sunna.

Mu'adha al-‘Adawiya said she asked ‘A'isha whether God’s messenger used to fast three days every month, and she replied that he did. She asked which days in the month he fasted, and she replied that he did not care which days of the month he fasted.

‘Uthmān b. ‘ Abdallāh b. Aus ath-Thaqafī, on his grandfather’s authority, reported God’s messenger as saying, “A man’s recitation of the Qur’ān without using a copy of it produces a thousand degrees of reward, but his recitation while using a copy is double that, reaching two thousand degrees.”

Qatada told of hearing Anas say that when there was an alarm in Medina the Prophet borrowed from Abu Talha a horse called al-Mandub which he rode. When he returned he said, “I did not see anything, and I found that the horse could run as speedily as a great river.”

وَعَن قَتَادَة قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا يَقُولُ: كَانَ فَزَعٌ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَاسْتَعَارَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَسًا مِنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ يُقَالُ لَهُ: الْمَنْدُوبُ فَرَكِبَ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ قَالَ: «مَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَإِن وَجَدْنَاهُ لبحرا»

Mishkat al-Masabih 3092
‘Abd ar-Rahman b. Salim b. ‘Utba b.'Uwaim b. Sa'ida al-Ansari, on his father’s authority, told that his grandfather reported God’s Messenger as saying, “Marry virgins, for they have the sweetest mouths, the most prolific wombs, and are most satisfied with little.”
Ibn Majah transmitted in mursal form.
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَالِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عُوَيْمِ بْنِ سَاعِدَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْأَبْكَارِ فَإِنَّهُنَّ أَعْذَبُ أَفْوَاهًا وَأَنْتَقُ أَرْحَامًا وَأَرْضَى بِالْيَسِيرِ» . رَوَاهُ ابْنُ مَاجَه مُرْسلا

Mishkat al-Masabih 3107
Al-Mughira b. Shu'ba said:
I asked a woman in marriage and God’s Messenger asked me whether I had looked at her. When I replied that I had not, he said, “Then look at her, for it is better that there should be love between you.”
Ahmad, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and Darimi transmitted it.
وَعَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ خَطَبْتُ امْرَأَةً فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هَلْ نَظَرْتَ إِلَيْهَا؟» قُلْتُ: لَا قَالَ: «فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا فَإِنَّهُ أَحْرَى أَنْ يُؤْدَمَ بَيْنَكُمَا» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالدَّارِمِيُّ

Jabir declared that the Jews used to say:
“When a man has intercourse with his wife through the vagina, but being on her back, the child will have a squint,” so the verse came down, “Your wives are a tilth to you, so come to your tilth however you will” (Al-Qur’an 2:223).

Mishkat al-Masabih 3359
Rafi‘ b. Makith reported the Prophet as saying, “Treating those under one’s authority well produces prosperity, but an evil nature produces evil fortune.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it, but only in al-Masabih have I seen the additional words, “Sadaqa guards against an evil type of death and kindness lengthens life.”
وَعَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ مَكِيثٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «حُسْنُ الْمَلَكَةِ يُمْنٌ وَسُوءُ الْخُلُقِ شُؤْمٌ» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَلَمْ أَرَ فِي غَيْرِ الْمَصَابِيحِ مَا زَادَ عَلَيْهِ فيهِ منْ قولِهِ: «والصَّدَقةُ تمنَعُ مِيتةَ السُّوءِ والبِرُّ زيادةٌ فِي العُمُرِ»

Mishkat al-Masabih 2503
Hudhaifa reported God’s messenger as saying, “It is not fitting for a believer to demean himself." On being asked how he could demean himself he replied, “By exposing himself to a calamity which he has not the capacity to endure."
Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Baihaqi, in Shu'ab al-iman, transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a hasan gharib tradition.
وَعَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا يَنْبَغِي لِلْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ يُذِلَّ نَفْسَهُ» . قَالُوا: وَكَيْفَ يُذِلُّ نَفْسَهُ؟ قَالَ: «يَتَعَرَّضُ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ لِمَا لَا يُطِيقُ» رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي شُعَبِ الْإِيمَانِ. وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ: هَذَا حَدِيث حسن غَرِيب

Umm Salama said:
God’s Messenger taught me to say when the adhan for the sunset prayer was called, “O God, this is the time when Thy night comes on, Thy day retires, and the voices of Thy summoners are heard, so forgive me.”
Abu Dawud transmitted it, as did Baihaqi in ad-Da'awat al-kabir.
وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: عَلَّمَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَن أَقُول عِنْد أَذَان الْمغرب: «اللَّهُمَّ إِن هَذَا إِقْبَالُ لَيْلِكَ وَإِدْبَارُ نَهَارِكَ وَأَصْوَاتُ دُعَاتِكَ فَاغْفِرْ لِي» . رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَالْبَيْهَقِيُّ فِي الدَّعَوَاتِ الْكَبِيرِ

Ibn ‘Umar said:
God’s Messenger was reciting as-Sajda (Al-Qur’an; 32) when we were with him. He was prostrating himself and we were doing so along with him, but we were so crowded that none of us could find a place for his forehead when prostrating himself.

Mishkat al-Masabih 1280
Malik said he heard that a man asked Ibn ‘Umar whether the witr was obligatory, and ‘Abdallah said, “God’s Messenger observed the witr and the Muslims observed the witr.” The man kept repeating his question and ‘Abdallah kept saying, “God’s Messenger observed the witr and the Muslims observed the witr.”
He transmitted it in al-Muwatta.
وَعَنْ مَالِكٍ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنِ الْوِتْرِ: أَوَاجِبٌ هُوَ؟ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: قَدْ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَوْتَرَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ. فَجَعَلَ الرَّجُلُ يُرَدِّدُ عَلَيْهِ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ: أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَوْتَرَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ. رَوَاهُ فِي الْمُوَطَّأ

Al-Walid b. ‘Uqba said :
When God’s messenger conquered Mecca the people of Mecca began to bring their boys and he would invoke a blessing on them and rub their heads. I was brought, but as I had been perfumed with a mixture of saffron he did not touch me because of the perfume.
Abu Dawud transmitted it.
وَعَن الوليدِ بن عقبةَ قَالَ: لَمَّا فَتَحَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَكَّةَ جَعَلَ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ يَأْتُونَهُ بصبيانهم فيدعو لَهُم بِالْبركَةِ وَيمْسَح رؤوسهم فَجِيءَ بِي إِلَيْهِ وَأَنَا مُخَلَّقٌ فَلَمْ يَمَسَّنِي من أجل الخَلوق. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

Mishkat al-Masabih 4086
Abu Tha'laba al-Khushani told that he said, “Messenger of God, we travel about and when we come to Jews, Christians and Magians we can get nothing but their vessels.” He replied, “If you can get nothing else, wash them with water and then eat and drink out of them.”
Tirmidhi transmitted it.
وَعَن أبي ثَعْلَبَة الْخُشَنِي قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا أَهْلُ سفر تمر الْيَهُود وَالنَّصَارَى وَالْمَجُوسِ فَلَا نَجِدُ غَيْرَ آنِيَتِهِمْ قَالَ: «فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا غَيْرَهَا فَاغْسِلُوهَا بِالْمَاءِ ثُمَّ كلوا فِيهَا وَاشْرَبُوا» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ

Mishkat al-Masabih 4299
He told that when Abu Humaid, one of the Ansar, brought a vessel of milk to the Prophet from an-Naqi'* the Prophet said, “Why did you not cover it up, even by putting a piece of wood on it?”
*A place in the wadi al-'Aqiq where camels which had been given in sadaqa were kept.

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: جَاءَ أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِنَ النَّقِيعِ بِإِنَاءٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَّا خَمَّرْتَهُ وَلَوْ أنْ تعرِضَ عليهِ عوداً»
