مُسْنَدُ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْكِلَابِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Three-Narrator Ahadith 315
Ayman ibn Nābil Abū ʿImrān reported:
I heard a man among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, called Qudāmah, meaning Ibn ʿAbdullāh, say, “I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stone Jamrat al-ʿAqabah on the Day of Sacrifice.” Abū Qurrah [Mūsā ibn Ṭāriq] added: Sufyān al-Thawrī added to me, in Ayman’s hadith, “[He did] this while on a reddish-brown she-camel, without shouting, driving [people] away, or saying ‘make way, make way.’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ طَارِقٍ أَبُو قُرَّةَ الزُّبَيْدِيُّ - مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحُصَيْبِ، وَإِلَى جَانِبِهَا رِمَعٌ، وَهِيَ قَرْيَةُ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، قَالَ أَبِي: وَكَانَ أَبُو قُرَّةَ قَاضِيًا لَهُمْ بِالْيَمَنِ - قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَيْمَنُ بْنُ نَابِلٍ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: قُدَامَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَمَى جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ» قَالَ أَبُو قُرَّةَ: وَزَادَنِي سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ فِي حَدِيثِ أَيْمَنَ: «هَذَا عَلَى نَاقَةٍ صَهْبَاءَ بِلَا زَجْرٍ، وَلَا طَرْدٍ، وَلَا إِلَيْكَ إِلَيْكَ

Chain: Mūsā ibn Ṭāriq Abū Qurrah al-Zubaydī → Ayman ibn Nābil al-Makkī → Qudāmah ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Kilābī (may Allah be pleased with him) → witnessed directly. Rijāl: (1) Mūsā ibn Ṭāriq Abū Qurrah al-Zubaydī: thiqah, appointed qāḍī in Yemen, as noted by Imām Aḥmad's son ʿAbdullāh in the isnād itself. (2) Ayman ibn Nābil al-Makkī, Abū ʿImrān: ṣadūq, occasionally erring (yahim). (3) Qudāmah ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Kilābī: Companion. Takhrīj: Abū Dāwūd, al-Tirmidhī, and Ibn Mājah, without pushing through the crowd; al-Tirmidhī graded it ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ. The addition attributed to Sufyān al-Thawrī, describing the Prophet's calm and unhurried manner even amid the crush of pilgrims, is frequently cited by scholars discussing prophetic gentleness (rifq) in crowd management during the Hajj rites.
