My father sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to invite him to a meal, and he came with me. As I drew near our house, I hurried ahead and told my parents, who came out to receive and welcome the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. We spread out for him a woolen cloak that we had, and he sat on it. My father then said to my mother, “Bring your food.” She brought a wooden bowl containing flour that she had kneaded into a paste with water and salt. I set it before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, “Take, in the name of Allah, from around its sides, and leave its top, for the blessing is in it.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate, and we ate with him, and some remained. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ supplicated, “O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, bless them, and grant them abundance in their provision.” Reference: Musnad Aḥmad 308
