Three-Narrator Ahadith 307
ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that his father prepared food for the Prophet ﷺ and invited him, and he accepted the invitation; and when he had finished eating, he supplicated, “O Allah, forgive them, have mercy on them, and bless what You have provided them.”

Musnad Aḥmad 307
| Grade: | Weak |
Though this isnād is weak, it is authentic in its matn through other routes
Chain: Hushaym ibn Bushayr → (using the explicit form akhbaranā, resolving any concern of tadlīs, for which Hushaym was otherwise known) → Hishām ibn Yūsuf al-Ṣanʿānī → ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) → the Prophet ﷺ. Rijāl: (1) Hushaym ibn Bushayr al-Wāsiṭī: thiqah thabt, though frequently practiced tadlīs (concealing his source), a concern neutralized here since he states akhbaranā explicitly rather than the ambiguous ʿan. (2) Hishām ibn Yūsuf al-Ṣanʿānī, qāḍī of Ṣanʿāʾ: thiqah thabt. (3) ʿAbdullāh ibn Busr: as above. Takhrīj: A close parallel with fuller detail is given below; also found in Ibn Mājah and Aḥmad's larger Musnad outside the thulāthiyyāt. This supplication (Allāhummaghfir lahum, warḥamhum, wa bārik lahum fīmā razaqtahum) became a model prayer recommended for a guest to offer his host after a meal.
