مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَرْجِسَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ
Three-Narrator Ahadith 254
ʿAbdullāh ibn Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) — who, ʿĀṣim noted, had indeed seen the Prophet ﷺ — reported:
When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out on a journey, he would say, “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardship of travel, from a sorrowful return, from deviation after firm standing, from the supplication of the wronged, and from an ill-fated sight in property and family.” And when he returned, he would say the same, except that he would say “in family and property,” mentioning the family first.
