Three-Narrator Ahadith 231
ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Awfā (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I asked him, “Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ give Khadījah glad tidings?” He said, “Yes, he gave her glad tidings of a house of hollow pearl [in Paradise], in which there is neither clamor nor toil.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى: هَلْ بَشَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَدِيجَةَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، «بَشَّرَهَا بِبَيْتٍ مِنْ قَصَبٍ، لَا صَخَبَ فِيهِ وَلَا نَصَبَ»

Chain: Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān → Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid → ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Awfā (may Allah be pleased with him). Rijāl: (1) Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd al-Qaṭṭān: thiqah thabt imām, one of the foremost authorities in the science of criticizing and authenticating narrators (jarḥ wa taʿdīl) of his era. Died 198 AH. (2) Ismāʿīl ibn Abī Khālid al-Aḥmasī al-Bajalī: thiqah thabt. Died 146 AH. (3) Ibn Abī Awfā: ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Awfā; Companion (Ṣaḥābī); one of the Companions of the Tree (Bayʿat al-Riḍwān) and the last Companion to die in Kūfah, 86–87 AH. Takhrīj: al-Bukhārī (3820, 3821); Muslim (2432). Commentary: This is one of the most celebrated ḥadīth concerning Khadījah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her), the Prophet’s ﷺ first wife, in which Jibrīl conveyed to him glad tidings on her behalf of a house in Paradise made of qaṣab — understood by the commentators as hollowed pearl or precious stone — free of the noise, dispute, and toil that mark worldly dwellings, reflecting her elevated station and the tranquility of her reward.
